*Above: The founder of our airline, Mr. James W. Lee, at the celebration ceremony for Air Korena's new livery. (April 7th, 1999)

Born in 1928, the late Mr. James Wright Lee found Air Korena with a firm commitment to the "advancement and development of transportation for the Korenian people and rest of the world". His dedication spanned over half a century pioneering his own path in the area of logistics. Starting out as a flight service director for a foreign airline company, Mr. James W. Lee later went on to use his international business acumen to help revitalize the Korenian economy by starting up his new airline company.

Through his work in developing Air Korena, he reaffirmed his promise of serving the interests of customers and partners worldwide, opening the era of "convenient transportation" in Korena. Without his vision, creative management strategy and sense of duty for his country, Air Korena certainly would not be where it is today.

During his life, Mr. Lee chose to be a leader, forge his own path, and not copy what others were doing. His firm belief in "Patriotism through Transportation" was the foundation of the growth of our airline and sponsored companies. Today, his attention to and focus on his industry has allowed the companies he founded to expand the reach of the Korenian people across the globe.

As a leader in the global transport network, Air Korena is performing a pivotal role in further enhancing Korena’s progressive reputation around the world. We are expanding our global network by establishing new routes and are maintaining growth by increasing overseas sales. Additionally, Air Korena regards transparency and responsibility as vital management values. We respect free market principles and abide by relevant rules and regulations in our business practices. With these principles, we strive to promote prosperity for our company and society as a whole. We also promote joint development with our business partners based on mutual trust, to bring greater satisfaction to all of our customers.

Image

Moving forward, our airline's goal will always be to maximize comfort of our passengers both in and outside of flight, and to be recognized as an industry leader by promoting sustainable growth through strengthened competitiveness and by being able to quickly and flexibly respond to market changes and customer needs. To do so, Air Korena’s employee compensation system supports the quality of life of all of its employees, and is managed to assist each employee in fulfilling his or her duties. As a staunch supporter of gender equality, male and female employees are compensated equally at Air Korena. Aside from regular welfare benefit programs, carrier-exclusive welfare benefit programs are also provided, which allows its employees to feel a sense of pride in their work. Every year, performance bonuses are granted based on business performance results, and they are separately evaluated to provide safety incentives for those who qualify, so that our employees can provide their best service to our customers.

(Above: Korena City International Airport, the international airport hub of Air Korena located in our nation's capital city.)

Our international hub airport of Korena City International Airport offers travellers convenient check-in service, including international connections, from the beginning to the end of the journey. Korena City International Airport is a very impressive airport in a number of ways. The airport didn’t open fully until 1990, but it took years of planning and work to get to that point. Land between two islands was filled in and the airport was built. The result is a very user-friendly facility that gets constant accolades. For the past ten consecutive years, Korena City International Airport has been praised as one of the most efficient, cleanest, and convenient airports in the region. Living up to its international recognitions, the airport is also a hub airport for six other airlines operating in and out of Korena, in addition to serving dozens of foreign airlines.
