S2500 B Solar Roadway
Image

The road is made of three parts: a hard-wearing translucent top-layer with the solar cells, LED lights (for road markings) and a heating element (to keep off snow and ice); an electronics layer to control lighting and communications; and a base plate layer that distributes power to nearby homes and businesses (and perhaps electric vehicle charging stations). Plus, there’s a channel at the edge to collect and filter run-off water (including anti-freeze and other chemicals that normally leeches into the ground). Although they are three times the cost of asphalt, the panels need to be replaced only every ten years compared to every two or three years for asphalt, and can generate enough energy to power rest stops, stop lights, speed guns, and street lights. The panels can also be used to pave parking lots.

G1000 Home Geothermal Pump

Image

Geothermal heat pumps are similar to ordinary heat pumps, but instead of using heat found in outside air, they rely on the stable, even heat of the earth to provide heating, air conditioning and, in most cases, hot water. In winter, geothermal pumps move warmth from the Earth to your house; in the summer, they do the opposite. Therefore, they are extremely efficient at heating and cooling houses with areas of high temperature extremes. Although the cost is high originally, they do reduce energy bills by 30 to 40%. Also, the pumps last over fifty years and do not need to be replaced often. The unit itself is a combined air conditioner/furnace and works with the same principles as a refrigerator.

T1000 Bottom Mounted Turbine

Image

These are close in concept to windmills operating under the sea. The tidal turbine's rotor diameter is 18 m, and it stands 22.5 m tall. The T1000 is rotated as required with each tidal exchange. This is done in the slack period between tides and fixed in place for the optimal heading for the next tide. Each turbine is rated at 1MW with a water stream of 2.65m/s. Each turbine can also be fitted with a lens, tripling power to 3MW.

$675,000 per unit/ $700,000 per unit

T2000E Tidal Generator
Image

The turbine is mounted on a floating, semi-submerged body that is tethered to the seabed, different from other turbines. The T2000E generates electricity with both ebb and flow tides and can operate for 20 hours a day in deeper waters with faster water speeds. An environmental advantage over other types of tidal power is that it does not disturb seabed wildlife.

W750B Large-Scale HAWT

Image

A quantum leap forward in terms of Horizontal Axis Turbine design, this wind turbine is meant for use in offshore farms, with a rotor diameter of 164 meters. The swept area is more than 21,000 m2, and the more the swept area, the better the profit. The use of these wind turbines maximizes the efficiency of wind farms, as operators buy fewer, larger turbines. The W750B model maximizes the amount of energy capture with its huge rotor size and an optimal rotor-to-generator ratio. Its rated power is 8,000 kW. On top of its good energy performance, the turbine is also designed for low maintenance and a long operational cycle.

Operational data
Rated power: 8,000 kW
Cut-in wind speed: 4 m/s
Operational rotor speed: 4.8 - 12.1 rpm
Nominal rotor speed: 10.5 rpm
Operational temperature range: -10 to +25ºC
Extreme temperature range: -15 to +35ºC

W1000A Small-Scale Wind Lens
Image

By increasing the wind speed, the power generated by a wind turbine increases. Strong vortices created by the diffuser and the brim of the Wind Lens produce low pressure region behind the turbine. This increased pressure difference that helps the wind to flow more into the Wind Lens. Because of this, the power created is 400% more than a conventional turbine. These are extremely small scale turbines, designed to be mounted on top of homes and apartment buildings.

Image

Power rated: 100kW
Rotor diameter:12.8 m
Brim diameter: 15.4m
Height: Between 5m and 34m above the ground

$900,000 per turbine

Large Scale Wind Lens
Image

This is a green energy breakthrough which can quadruple the amount of wind power produced. Hexagonal platforms twenty to forty kilometers offshore, where winds are stronger more consistent, can float above tsunami swells and not be affected by earthquakes, and produce a large amount of wind power using large-scale turbines. The hexagonal platforms can also be used for a base of fishing, as a ship and airport base, and resource exploration.

Power Rated: 3MW
Rotor Diameter: 100m
Swept area: 7853m2

$2.5 million per turbine/platform combination
