Mirage 233 8x8 APC with 25 mm gun Turret Mirage 233 8x8 APC Mirage 233 8x8 APC Ambulance version The Mirage 233 8x8 APC) is an 8x8 amphibious armoured personnel carrier family , produced by Atok Aerospace Ltd of Atok. The baseline 8 × 8 Mirage 233 vehicle has a hull consisting of a composite aluminium and steel armour that provides the occupants with protection from 7.62 mm armour-piercing attack through a full 360°. Higher levels of protection are available if required, using an appliqué armour package. The driver and commander are seated in a cockpit at the very front of the vehicle. Each has a single-piece roof hatch that opens to the side. Both have access to the flat-panel displays, on which all relevant information is shown. Periscopes provide the driver and commander with complete vision through the front and sides of the vehicle. Images from the front and rear thermal and CCD (Charged Coupled Device) cameras can be displayed on the flat-panel displays for improved situational awareness. Left- or right-hand drive steering can be selected by either person at any time. An automatic transmission and power steering is fitted as standard to reduce crew fatigue. The 8 × 8 model features steering on all eight wheels. The diesel power pack is mounted to the rear of the driver and commander position on the left side of the hull and an access passage to the troop compartment at the rear is provided in the right side of the hull. The first Mirage 233 vehicles have a Deutz diesel engine but other engines could be installed such as Caterpillar or MTU. The prototype has a ZF automatic transmission but an Allison automatic transmission could also be installed. The seating arrangement depends on the role but the troops are normally seated on individual seats down each side of the hull facing inwards. All shock-absorbing seats are fitted with five-point seatbelts as standard. Troops normally enter and leave the vehicle via a large ramp at the rear, which is of an unusual design. While the major part of the ramp folds downwards a much smaller part folds upwards on the outside. This allows for improved vision over the rear of the vehicle, in some combat situations, and also allows the troops to have improved situational awareness before they leave the vehicle. There are two escape hatches in the troop compartment. One is situated in left side of the hull between the third and forth road wheel stations, while the other is situated in the right side of the hull between the first and second road wheel stations. To allow for Mirage 233 to be rapidly re-configured for different operational roles, all members of the Mirage 233 family have a removable roof so that it can be quickly converted for a wide range of specialist roles. The roof arrangement depends on the mission but in the basic APC mode a cupola is mounted on the roof to the rear of the engine compartment. A variety of weapons can be installed on this, such as a 7.62 mm or 12.7 mm machine gun or a 40 mm automatic grenade launcher. Trophy 8x8 Reconnaissance Antitank Vehicle

The Trophy Reconnaissance Antitank Vehicle has a crew of four (commander, gunner, loader and driver) and is equipped with an AAE RAT-5 105 mm/52 calibre gun. The low recoil force rifled gun fires standard NATO ammunition, including APFSDS (armor piercing fin-stabilized discarding sabot) rounds. The gun is equipped with a thermal sleeve, integrated fume extractor and muzzle reference system. 14 turns of 105 mm ammunition are taken in the turret and 26 rounds are stored in the hull. An alternative configuration, the 8x8 T, replaces these 26 rounds of ammunition with space for four combat troops.Two 7.62 mm machine guns are mounted on the turret, one co-axial with the main gun. A four-barrel smoke grenade launcher is mounted along each side of the turret.

The fire control system is the Longston Technology F-100, which includes a digital ballistic computer. The gunner's station is equipped with a stabilized sight with a thermal imager and laser range finder. The commander's station is fitted with a panoramic stabilized sight, an image intensifying night vision and a monitor displaying the icon from the gunner's thermal sight.

The Trophy has an all welded steel armor hull, which provides protection against 12.7 mm ammunition and shell fragments. Enhanced armor protection over the frontal arc provides protection against 20 mm ammo.

A nuclear, chemical and biological (NBC) warfare protection system is incorporated into the vehicle's air conditioning system. A laser warning receiver can be installed along the vehicle.
The Moffart HounDog-2 6V turbo-charged after-cooled diesel engine is rated at 382 kW (1,865 NM). The automatic transmission system designed by ZF, and constructed under license by IH-V2000, has 5 forward and 2 reverse gears. There are 8 wheels, each with independent suspension and disk type brakes. The steering is on the first, second and fourth axle. The tyres are 14.00 - 20, run flat tyres fitted with Central Tyre Inflation System (CTIS).

All variations of the vehicle provide top speeds in excess of 100 km/hr. The vehicles can negotiate gradients up to 60 %, fording depth of 1.5 m without preparation, and have a working radius of 9 m.

The Speartip was first conceived by Urixon Mines, a subsidiary of Atok Aerospace. The latter was introduced in 2011 for the protection of airfields but was also the first MRAP or MRV (Mine resistant vehicle) developed. It is fitted with a V-shaped armored underbelly intended to deflect a mine blast. This threat became a very serious nowadays, leading to devise a lighter, shorter and more comfortable vehicle. The Speartip is relatively lower than most MRAPs, but the ground clearance is also tailored to cope with the worst terrains and harsher environment. The steel hull made of welded RHA is around 8 mm thick but was lighter on the Mark 1 & 2, protecting only against NATO 5.56 mm rounds, while the Mark 3, 4 and 5 are proven against 7.92 NATO rounds. Modularity allowed the chassis to be tailored, turning the rear into a flatbed body for carrying various payloads, mounting light weapons or accommodate a recovery hamper. It can be turned also as an armored ambulance or a command vehicle. Access is provided by a single door at the rear or by the roof hatches.
