About
D Air was created in 1978 at the dawn of the Jet Age. Founded by Richard Lewis who started the airline with just 3 Boeing 707's with service from D City to Francisport, Caden, and ViZion. The airline was then bought by Frank Dodge in 1993 and with new leadership began a revival of the airline into a modern-day flag carrier. First class was introduced as well as new planes. In 2005 Business class was introduced on all international flights. In 2007 p.s. Service was first used between Francisport and D City. P.s. used widebody aircraft to make the route more friendly to passengers. Also in 2007 was the introduction of D Air xpress service amongst smaller routes.
