Company History
In 1962 John Archer and his friends cobbled together spare parts to create a car capable of competing in the local dirt rally. Shortly after, John began to experiment with building cars out of his backyard shed in Porthaven, and the Archer Motor Company was born. From the first factory in Dropshort that employed 16 people, the company has expanded to 19 factories around the country with over a thousand employees. It is estimated that last year, one in every five cars on Barunian roads was an Archer. The company has also transformed the city of Dropshort, turning it from an industrial port to the capital of manufacturing in Barunia. Archer maintain three factories here, and ship their products worldwide.

Why Flying Boats?
The versatility of flying boats and seaplanes has long been recognised in Barunia. While regular aircraft require prepared surfaces for take-off and landing, all that is needed for a flying boat is a large body of water. Flying boats have numerous uses on and around the water, from scooping up water to drop on fires to ferrying passengers around the islands. Out on the water, a flying boat can spot people in need of rescue from the air, then land to pick them up. Customs and border security can also benefit from this application, allowing them to spot and then apprehend suspect vessels from the one vehicle. Flying boats can also deliver supplies to submarines or soldiers on the battlefield where an airdrop would be conspicuous.

Carrick & Sons was founded in Porthaven in 1897, and has been producing ships ever since. Remarkably, the firm has remained with the Carrick family, who continue to operate the business to this day, with the assistance of Barunia Industries. Company History
Edward Carrick had worked as a ship's carpenter all his life, but it wasn't till 1897, when a shipyard from a liquidated firm caught his eye, that he became a ship builder. The design he left to his eldest son William, while younger son John handled the finance. So was born one of the longest surviving family business in Barunia, which today is being run by Edward Carrick's great-great-granddaughter Jasmine.

Currently airborne units of the Royal Cascavian Ground Forces are unable to travel great distances from their drop zones until they link up with other friendly units because their current inventory of vehicles is limited to old Soviet types which are unsuitable for mass infantry transport. To solve this problem the Office of Military Acquisitions is seeking a utility vehicle that would be light enough to be air droppable and small enough to allow several to fit in a single transport aircraft. We believe that we have found in your catalogue a design which with certain modifications would be suitable to fulfil this requirement, the Archer Advantage Ranger. If it is possible we would like to purchase domestic production rights so that a Cascavian corporation, Baldwin & Robinson Limited, can produce a modified variant of the Advantage Ranger that would be suitable for service. We would be willing to pay a large sum to obtain these rights so name whatever price your corporation wants, within reason of course.

With regards to the modifications you have requested, adding two additional engines to the BR-35 would require excessive rebuilding of the wing and fuselage to accommodate the extra weight. However, we believe we could achieve similar results by replacing the current turbo boosters with jet turbines, which should provide the additional power without requiring an excessive redesign. Additionally, this upgrade would be free of charge and give your pilot's the ability to control wether they use two or four engines, giving the choice between fast or economical flying.

We regret to inform you that the current Archer Advantage would be unable to support such a heavy weapon as the one you requested. However our design team has come up with a possible redesign that we believe would solve the problem. This will however take time to complete. We should hope to have the vehicle design available for your approval within a week.

As for details upon our Lend-Lease with a our close ally Grenfield, vehicles are traded for a set of time under a lease program, in which the vehicles are provided mainly for the purpose of training. The Department of Defense gladly pays 75% of the cost for our allies leasing the vehicle to the nation which the vehicle's design had originated. We will not lease off Advantage Rangers should you prohibit.

Funds for both the DPRs of the Ranger and C-2 Cygnets will be immediately transferred to the banking institution of your choice
