G-Vodnik Unarmed Armored Transport
Image

The " Vodnik" is a high-mobility, multipurpose military vehicles manufactured by Hades Military Armaments-HMA. They have been referred to as "the Haruspex Humvee". However, unlike the Humvee, the G-Vodnik has a water-displacing hermetic hull which provides improved fording performance. It has a 4x4-type chassis with independent suspension and a centralized system of tire-pressure control. The ground clearance is 475 mm. The standard undercarriage with a cab can be fitted with a number of different modules with various number of passenger seats and cargo compartments, seating up to 10 people. It is powered by a 175 hp (130 kW) diesel engine giving a top speed of 112 km/h (4 to 5 km/h when swimming).

Its name Vodník, is in Haru mythology, a male water spirit. A direct translation into English is difficult, but to call the vehicle the "Waterman" might be reasonable.

Length: 4.5m
Width: 2.8m
Height: 1.9m
Crew: 2 (+9 passengers)

Armor: 10mm
Primary Armament: None.

Golan Armored Transport
Image

A favorite of the Kaldana Colonial Military services, now at a great price to our valued customers. This 15 ton armored, wheeled troop carrier is configured to accommodate 10 troops in a highly protected environment. The vehicle uses an armored monocoque structure. The integrity of this structure provides the strength to absorb the deformations generated by mines and IED blasts. The V shaped hull has a "floating floor" panel to mitigate the blast effects of mines. It thereby provides an optimal solution to protect the crew and vehicle against the identified threats. The vehicle has an effective armor suite to defeat small arms and RPG threats, medium size IED's, 7 kg mines under belly and 14 kg under wheels. The spall liner was eliminated, assuming the efficiency of external armor to prevent hull penetration by most threats.

Unlike vehicles utilizing off-the-shelf commercial chassis, the Golan does not have a chassis at all. Instead, the 4x4 automotive system axles, and suspensions link directly to the armored structure, which acts as a frame. This approach is similar to that used with tracked APCs and tanks. It retains good off-road mobility, and is particularly suitable for operations in dense urban terrain.

This approach enables the designers to dedicate 50% of the vehicle's weight to protection, providing effective protection from IEDs, land mines and small arms. The vehicle will be produced in three protection levels. The intermediate level provides protection from small arms, up to 14.5 mm AP and 20mm, and effective roof protection. The passive armor utilizes a combination of protection technologies including metals, composites, slat and transparent armor. The maximum protection level includes reactive modular armor tiles while the medium and light levels are based on passive modular armor. Protection from anti-tank rockets (Such as RPGs) can be provided by appliqué reactive armor modules or an active protection system which are "plug-in" add-ons to the basic design. Other "plug-ins" include counter IED and counter sniper systems. The add-on reactive armor system utilizes the Insensitive Explosive Reactive Armor (I-ERA) tiles installed on the side walls. The I-ERA is based on the same technology provided for the US Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle. The reactive (I-ERA) add-on armor is an insensitive explosive known as Low Burn Rate (LBR) or Low Flammability (LF2)

All three protection level configurations present the same physical silhouette. In the light and medium level configurations, there are no reactive armor tiles attached to the outer crew compartment structure. In their place, passive armor tiles (that include storage boxes) with an identical outer shape are attached.

The vehicle can be equipped with remotely controlled weapon station mounting a machine gun, and optronic equipment, as well as the gunshot detection system.

The vehicle is also fitted with an acoustic gunshot locator, utilizing HIA's SADS system. It will also be able to employ the company's Spotlite M - electro-optically based threat locator which can serve as a gunshot locator, and threat alerting system, as it can detecting launch sources and approaching RPGs.

Q39 " Nota'man " Armored Car
Image

What weighs 28 tons, has the firing range of 1000km, a top speed of 150kph and can withstand the blast of a TM46 anti-tank mine? The answer to that Jeopardy question is a vehicle that exemplifies the next generation of ground combat -- a tough vehicle capable of aggressive seek-and-destroy missions, but with flexibility and top-notch mobility. Make room for the Q39 Nota'man " Devil " Armored Car of the Haruspex Military Legions.

The Nota'man has been in operation since 1980, replacing the Q38 as Haruspex’s high mobility combat operations vehicle. The vehicle carries a crew of four -- commander, gunner, loader and driver - and is designed for high mobility day and nighttime combat operations. Specifically, the Nota'man is responsible for combat reconnaissance and area security.

Designed as an 8-wheeled, diesel powered, armored car, the Nota'man was originally armed with a 76mm rifled gun and 48 rounds of ammunition. By 1994, the Nota'man was ready for a makeover. Along with the 76mm gun, the Nota'man is now fitted with the HIA 22b 105mm anti-tank gun capable of firing the full range of standard NATO full-pressure 105mm ammunition including Generation I, II and III rounds, firing 6 rounds per minute. Not bad artillery for such a mobile vehicle.

The Nota'man now also comes equipped with two 7.62mm machine guns: one coaxially mounted and slaved to the fire control system (3,600 rounds of ammunition), one in the TC’s station for air defense and general purpose.

To protect itself, the Nota'man fields numerous defensive features. To start, it boasts two 81mm smoke grenade launchers. The grenades allow the Nota'man to form a dense protective smoke screen when needed. Second, the Nota'man’s armor can withstand the blast of a TM46 anti-tank mine, providing full protection to the four-man crew inside. Third, to combat 24mm ammunition, the Nota'man provides ballistic protection over its frontal arc. It won’t be mistaken for a tank anytime soon, but it does provide decent defense against the ever-present threat of improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

Moreover, as a wheeled vehicle, the Nota'man eight wheel configuration allows the vehicle to maintain mobility even after the loss of any wheel. Lose a wheel to a land mine? No problem. The Nota'man can run on 6 of its 8 wheels. What if the wheels lose pressure? Again, no problem. The vehicle is equipped with run-flat inserts, which allow mobility after the loss of pressure in all eight wheels.

Primary Armament: HIA 22b 105mm anti-tank gun (50 rounds)

Product Guide Chapter Nineteen
UAV's

ASUAS-01 " Vigilante "
Haruspex International Arms presents the ASUAS-01 for our customers. During the course of war, or squashing rebellions, hunting dissidents and or other seditionists to the natural order, whatever it may be for you and yours, the ASUAS-01 is capable of being flown in populated areas and taking out hostile targets with minimal to no innocent casualties incurred.

Most unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) like the Predator and Reaper are fixed wing aircraft which originally filled a reconnaissance role but have more recently been fitted with 500-lb bombs and Hellfire missles to tackle Hunter-Killer roles in combat zones. To limit collateral damage, especially in cities HIA has developed a small, unmanned helicopter equipped with a powerful 12.7x108 mm caliber rifle and an autopilot system handles the tricky business of flying while the operator lines up the kill shot on a remote monitor.

The Autonomous Sniper Unmanned Arial System (ASUAS) is based on the V502 unmanned helicopter which is a much modified version of the commercially available U496 which is an ultralight class kit helicopter. The autopilot is based on a 266Mhz Pentium PC-104 industrial computer that gets it bearings using GPS, radar altimeter and magnetometer.

Mounted onto this UAV is a lightweight gun turret developed by Verlaine Corporate Industries Autonomus Weapons Laboratory. The turret carries a 12.7x108 mm HIA-AM3 Anti-Material Rifleand a situational awareness camera plus a scope with cameras attached that provides two levels of zoom. Control of the rifle is via a laptop computer with a controller used for aiming and firing.

Most 203 Tumbreh are deployed on surveillance, interception and escort missions. The patrol boats are of conventional welded aluminium alloy construction with a semi-displacement vee hull. The boats have Seastate active ride control with hydraulic stabiliser fins and stern trim tabs. The hull is 56.8m in length and the displacement is 270t.

The stern deck accommodates two Zodiac 7.2m waterjet boats. The main roles of the 203 Tumbreh class are naval support of civilian authorities in missions such as fisheries protection, custom patrols and in protection against illegal immigration.

The requirement specification for the vessels included the ability to carry out surveillance and boarding missions in conditions up to sea state 4 with 2.5m wave height and surveillance missions in conditions up to sea state 5 with 4m wave height.

the vessel is armed with a HIATyphoon 25mm stabilised naval gun mount with an HIA Flak cannon. Fire control is provided by a HNDR multi-sensor optronic weapons director. The gun has a traverse range of +/-120° and an elevation of -12.5° to +40°30'. The gun has a stabilisation accuracy of 0.2mrad.

The line of fire stabilisation allows hostile targets to be engaged with precision in high sea state conditions and at appropriate stand-off distance. The gunner can choose to operate the gun manually or automatically. The ship also carries two 12.7mm machine guns.

The 203 Tumbreh Class patrol boats are equipped with low-light optical surveillance and a Bridgemaster E radar operating at E, F and I bands. BAE Systems Machina Haruspex's passive radar identification system (PRISM III) electronic support measures provides detection, direction finding, analysis and classification of radar emissions in the 2GHz-18GHz band. Blackstar Technologies has been contracted to supply the modular integrated ships communications suite (BMT).

The 203 Tumbreh class boat is fitted with two MTU 16V 2,320kW diesel engines with ZF transmission systems, driving twin screws. In 2007, the fuel system design was modified with the addition of coalescers to prevent water contamination of the fuel system. There is a 160kW bow thruster.

204 Cenah Class Patrol Vessel
Image

The advanced composite Cenah Class Fast Patrol / Attack Craft is the extended and improved version of the 203 Tumbreh. Developed as a versatile multi role platform for the increasingly tough requirements of the naval and law enforcement forces to control the littoral and the coastal waters.
Internally, the advanced machinery systems and arrangement result in a vessel with greatly enhanced operability, maintainability and accommodation standards.

Mastery of the littoral can not be presumed. It does not derive directly from command of the high seas. It is an objective which requires our focused skills and resources. The 204 Cenah has been designed for this purpose, capable of carrying out a wide range of littoral and coastal water law enforcement-naval duties and open sea rescue, including:
Patrol / Escort / Fast attack
Search and rescue
Anti smuggling
Pollution control
Anti terrorist protection of the coastal and offshore installations
Surveillance / Covert surveillance
Special Forces insertion-extraction

Performance:
The deep V hull, depending on engine selection and boat configuration, will enable the boat to reach speeds up to 60 knots in calm waters and up to 40 knots in Sea State 4. The Cenah has a soft and dry ride in adverse conditions, offering, thus, an outstanding platform for the various tasks in the brown waters and the open sea.

The WJD - water jet drive system provides extreme maneuverability with high precision control and a very shallow draught, enhancing the operation in confined waters or intercepting/boarding larger ships in rough seas.

The 204 Cenah is built with advanced composites to satisfy the very tough requirements of an intensive professional use together with a long service life. The benefits of the advanced composite structure are:

* Improved Performance
* Increased Payload
* Fuel Savings
* Longer service life
* Maintenance savings
* Threat avoidance/detection
* Ballistic protection
* Machinery vibration/acoustic
* Magnetic signature
* Heat signature

The hull and superstructure are constructed to Det Norske Veritas (DNV) HSLC Patrol R2 classification. All boats of the series are delivered with the relevant DNV Certificates.

The helm station and the interiors have been designed in line with the SAE recommendations for ergonomics to provide the crew with maximum comfort and minimum fatigue in prolonged use in heavy seas.

The 204 Cenah can be equipped with various mission modules depending on the customer requirements. Despite the size of the platform, these modules have been integrated with the modularity and reconfigurability objectives in mind. Thus, the platform can be reconfigured with different mission modules, increasing dramatically the operational flexibility and reducing the costs. The mission modules would be:
Multi weapon mounts.
- Stabilized naval turret with up to 30 mm. gun
(+ short range SSM).
- Medium range SSM (Total weights up to 5 tons).
- Short range SAM.
- 2 x 12.7 mm. heavy MG.

Olath Vlos Class LREF
Image
Olath Vlos Class is a long-range escort frigate that undertakes roles including area air defense, anti-submarine warfare, surveillance, reconnaissance and interdiction. The ship is capable of countering simultaneous threats from the air, surface and sub-surface.

Ships are powered by gas turbines for its main propulsion. This, combined with a modern repair by replacement policy, has allowed both a reduced complement and a high availability for sea. It can be underway from cold in 30 minutes. In addition, two forward mounted retractable auxiliary propulsion units provide a secondary means of propulsion plus excellent maneuverability in confined waters.

Principal weapons are the Standard medium range anti-aircraft missile and Harthingy anti-ship missile, both of which are launched from the Mk 13 launcher on the forecastle. A 76 mm gun to counter both aircraft and surface threats is fitted forward of the funnel and one 20 mm Phalanx close-in weapon system for anti-missile defense is located above the helicopter hangars.

For long range anti-submarine tasks, the vessel is equipped with a flight deck and hangars for two Suru d' P'luvt helicopters. The Suru d' P'luvt is an all weather, twin engine, 3 crew helicopter. Its primary role is Undersea Warfare for which it carries a range of sonobuoys and can deliver up to two torpedoes. Other roles include over the horizon targeting, surveillance, boarding support, Search and Rescue (SAR) and utility operations. Its sensors include Radar, Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) and a Magnetic Anomaly Detector (MAD). For close-in anti-submarine defense the ship is fitted with two Mk 32 triple torpedo tubes.

Product Guide Chapter Twenty-Two
Discounted Weaponry for Developing Nations

R2 Rettah Pmyta Mobile Missile System(MMS)
Image

The R2 Rettah Pmyta (Hidden Blade)Mobile Missile System is one of HIA's first production models. This sale is intended for developing nations interested in a missile platform that is cheap and effective at saturation destruction of enemy targets.

The missile is launched by four solid booster rockets mounted externally on the body. The missile is armed 300 meters from the launcher. After launch the boosters burn for about 15 seconds and then fall away when the fueled ramjet kerosene sustainer motor ignition speed of over Mach 1 is attained at about 9 km. The four fins are fixed and the four wings, in two pairs, are hydraulically operated.

A battery typically has one launcher fitted with two missiles. An electro-optical fire control system is fitted for use in a heavy ECM environment. Targets are initially detected by the long range early warning E-band radar, which has a 150 km range and 30 km maximum altitude coverage.

This system passes data to the R2 Rettah Pmyta battery where the H-band continuous wave fire control and command guidance radar takes over. The radar is mounted on the same chassis as the R2 launcher, with the whole assembly collapsed flat and a grill raised in front of the radar for road transit. This radar acquires the target at about 120-130 km and when it is within the 80-90 km tracking range a single missile is launched and guided to the target by the guidance beam with a semi-active terminal homing phase for the final stage. The missile is tracked in flight by a continuous wave radar transponder beacon attached to one of the tail fins.

The R2 Rettah Pmyta consists of a tracked armored chassis on top of which is mounted a hydraulically operated turntable carrying two missiles. The launcher can be traversed by 360º with the missiles being elevated up to an angle of 45º on their launcher arms for launching. The vehicle's engine is to the right of the driver with the remainder of the space in the vehicle taken up by the crew and electronics. Hatches for the other crew members are on either side of the missile turntable. The torsion bar suspension consists of seven dual rubber-tired road wheels with the drive sprocket at the front and the idler at the rear, and four track return rollers. The vehicle has an air filtration and overpressure NBC system and an IR night vision system for the commander and driver but no amphibious capability.

Reserve missiles are carried on a towed trailer with crane arm, and reloading the R2 takes between 10 and 15 minutes.
