Global Jet Magicwind
The RMA 750 Magicwind is a long-range, mid-size wide-body, twin-engine jet airliner developed RM Aircraft. Its variants seat 320 passengers. RM Aircraft states that it is the company's most fuel-efficient airliner and the world's first major airliner to use composite materials for most of its construction, Magicwind also super-efficient airplanes with new passenger-pleasing features that take the economics of heavy jet transports to the center of the market, using 20 percent less fuel than any other airplanes of their size.
The key to the exceptional performance of the RMA 750 is a suite of new technologies developed and used to the airplane. Composite materials make up 50 percent of the main social organization of the RMA 750 including the fuselage and wing.
Modern systems architecture is at the core of the RMA 750's design. It is simpler than today's airplanes and offers increased functionality and efficiency. For instance, the team has incorporated airplane health-monitoring arrangements that allow the airplane to self-monitor and report system maintenance requirements to ground-based computer systems.
New engines from RMA-TF63 are used on the RMA 750. The advances in engine technology are the biggest contributor to overall fuel efficiency improvements. The new engines represent nearly a two-generation jump in technology for the middle of the market. RM750 also earmark to be equipped with
Votexis International’s Integrated Taxiing System. VIITS will use the aircraft’s Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) to power electric motors fitted to the main landing gear wheels. The architecture will include the ability for pilots keep full control from the cockpit over their aircraft’s speed and direction during taxi operations.
The
VIITS option will offer several operational and environmental benefits for the RMA 750 Family:
• Per trip, the projected fuel savings and CO2 reductions would be approximately 8%;
• It would contribute to significantly more efficient taxiing operations and save around 4 minutes of time on pushback;
• Taxiing-related carbon and nitrous oxide emissions would be cut by more than half.
