History
Wine has been grown in Albeland since way back in classical times. Early wine pressess have been found on the low hills in the south of Albeland, the largest being that near Keçer. Over 600 bodies have been found at the site too, many with arrowheads in them, leading archaeologists to believe that these people were attacked by the peoples of Tarantalus, a nation just to the south of Albeland, in the year AD 600.
For the next 1100 years, wine was locally produced and each area had its own signature taste. Then in 1747, one man, Kratyey Ȥvedyerus decided to start a wine press in his home town of Exyim. He went bust, and had to borrow loads of money from the Albeland Bank. For the next 3 years he lived a sorry life. Not many people wanted the wine and he tried desperately to sell it. Eventually he was approached by Morey Maksim, one of the richest men at the time, an entrepeneur who made his money in the tea industry. He tasted the wine that Kratyey was making, and instantly fell in love with it. He requested much of it, as at the time tea was the big thing being traded, but wine looked as though it had a good future. Morey exported Kratyey’s wine all over the continent and even across the world. Soon, wine was almost as traded a commodity as tea! Kratyey was overjoyed. By 1754, he had become a rich and powerful man, well respected in Albeland and throughout the world. In 1762 though, Morey Maksim died. He had been taste testing some teas and someone had spiked his with Kraųs Poison, which causes a slow and painful death (heart and lung failure). Kratyey didn’t go to the funeral for unknown reasons but he left a note on Morey’s grave that read “thankyou. Wherever you may be now, I hope you enjoy yourself. You changed my life and the world, for that, you deserve a place in history.” Kratyey was never seen again. No one knows truly what happened to him, some say he ran away, some say he died and some say he committed suicide. Whatever the truth, we shall never know. One thing we know for certain though, is that his brother inherited his wine press and decided to found the first wine investment company in Albeland.

Foreign Wines:
Investing in Wine
You may be thinking to yourself, “wine investment? What’s wine investment?” Well, my version of wine investment is going to be slightly different from the real world. Normally, you’d invest in a particular stock of wine for a year, and as it matures you can sell it for more. Some years have good stocks; some bad. For mine I will give you a set number with a stock that will be shown. Each day the price will fluctuate (randomly generated), and you will get to choose when to sell it, or even to buy more. People may also buy small percentages of your stock, and they will get a small share of the final sale price. If you have not sold your stock within 6 weeks, we will give the owner of the stock 5% of the final, and we will take the rest as profit.
