Company History

Royal Cestyn Airlines was founded by decree of King Rhys IV, the fourty-first and final Monarch of Cestyr before the nation became a republic backed by a two-house parliamentary system in 1925. Due to the disgust that mant held for the Royal Family at the time of the transistion, the prefix "Royal" was removed from the airline and was not reinstated until 1972. RCA's first aircraft was a twin seat Bristol F.2, an ex-fighter plane acquired for a courier service between Vyaneu and Alesso, two major Cestyn cities. RCA was first tasked with the transfer of classified military dispatches between military bases, then later on the transport of high-profile mail between cities, and it was not until 1926 that RCA carried it's first revenue passenger, Major General Sean Vyger, Commander of the Cestyn 4th Division.

Cestyn Airlines continued as a mail service until 1933 when the airline acquired two Ford Trimotor aircraft, a three engined aircraft that could seat ten passengers at a time. The Trimotor was not a new aircraft when acquired by Cestyn Airlines however it will go down in history as the first true airliner to operate in the nation. The Trimotors at first operated a daily service between Alesso and Vyaneu but later, the cities of Syam and Redmond were included in Cestyn's emerging list of destination. Domestic passenger service was further bolstered by the arrival of the DC-3 just three years later.

At the time however, Cestyn Airlines operated soley on the east coast of the nation with no connections to the western coast. Much of Cestyr's population and industry resides on the coastal areas of the nation, however the powerhouses of the west and east coasts are split by thousands of kilometers of sparsely populated and foliated desert, a landing or an airport in this region would be impractical and very expensive. It was not until the arrival of the Lockheed Contstellation in 1946 that the first operation between west and east coasts began. The Constellation was a landmark aircraft for Cestyn Airways when it was first delivered and completely outclassed any previous designs before it.Even today, the Contstellation remains a favourite amongst those who are old enough to have flown on it despite being retired almost twenty years ago.

Cestyn Airlines didn't rush to acquire jet powered aircraft as did the rest of the world as it long held a monopoly on air travel within the nation. Instead, the company chose a more budgeted and restrained policy which saw the DC-3's and Constellations in service long after many airlines around the globe had retired them in favour of newer aircraft. In the late 1970's, Royal Cestyn Airlines gradually began a program which would faze out the DC-3 and the Constellation in favour of newer aircraft, the Boeing 737 and the Boeing 767. Royal Cestyn Airlines, for the first time in it's history, pre-ordered examples of the Boeing 767-300 and of the Boeing 737-300; before then RCA had only bought airliners that had been released onto the market many years ago.

In 1982, the first RCA Boeing 767 took to the skies marking the first jet powered flight within Cestyr. This was immediately greeted with a surge in passenger numbers, responding to the speed and smoothness advantages that the new jets promised. By 1992, the last DC-3 was retired and RCA had an all-jet fleet for the first time in it's history. The success of the new jet aircraft inspired RCA to keep a modern fleet of aircraft where possible and discard it's previous policy of using aircraft until they could be used no more.

By 2012 after many years of business as usual operation, the government of Cestyr announced a policy that their state-owned airline would operate international services for the first time, culiminating in an order of over fourty aircraft from aerospace giant, Los Rios Group.

Fleet

Royal Cestyn Airlines prides itself on a modern and well serviced fleet of aircraft. It should come as no suprise that modernity and care equate to a more reliable service and a more comfotable flight. RCA operates a sizeable fleet of 64 aircraft ranging from the small M545 which operates in rural areas to the enourmous M575 which will operate on long range, high capacity routes to major centres. The array of aircraft on offer from experienced aircraft manufacturers such as Boeing and Los Rios Aerospace guarantees a safe, reliable experience when you fly with us.

The more you fly with Royal Cestyn, the more miles you earn towards the next tier culminating in more rewards and more benefits. Our most frequent customers will enjoy benefits that few airlines offer for any price.

Miles aren't just earned based on flight length. Checking into the Lounge, upgrading your ticket and even carrying on reduced amounts of baggage will earn points towards your next tier. Even when you aren't flying, you can still earn miles by shopping with our corporate partners.

FrequentCestyn offers two ways to guarantee your tier, a yearly review and a lifetime milestone.

Tiers achieved below the required lifetime mileage remain valid for one year. To retain your tier status each year, you need to achieve 20,000 tier miles if you are a Silver member, or 50,000 tier miles if you are a Gold member, or 75,000 miles if you're a Platimum member. The following year, your tier status will be reviewed at the end of the same month in which you first earned it.

Silver20,000 yearly miles
Gold50,000 yearly miles
Platimum75,000 yearly miles

But, keep accumulating those miles and we'll reward you all the same. Attain a lifetime mileage milestone to reach Silver or Gold member status and relax knowing that even if you miss a year, or several, your status to us will still be the same.

Subject: Route expansion

First of all, allow me to thank you for wishing to add your nation to our ever expanding portfolio of international destinations. Royal Cestyn Airlines is a company dependant on patronage therefore we welcome every opportunity to make a good impression to a new market of people. We would also like to hope that this new connection between two great states will usher in a period of increased tourism travel which no doubt would boost any economy.

As a further note, Alpenhorn International Airport will now have extra special signficance as Royal Cestyn Airlines' first ever international destination.

In response to your query, the application form is designed so that we are able to obtain all the information we need in the quickest and easiest way for the applicant. We do agree that a map would be helpful however, as you could imagine, such a map would have to be updated daily in order to be accurate, not to mention how big it would be! We prefer applicants to give us a general idea of how close they think they are to Cestyr and provide estimated patronage numbers, we then select an aircraft that we believe suits that weekly flight plan.

Based on distance and patronage numbers, Royal Cestyn Airlines will make one flight per week in a two class Boeing M555-LR airliner, a relatively small aircraft. Based on your special conditions and terms, Royal Cestyn Airlines need make no adaptions to operation to legally fly in your airspace.

Thank you for your time, and we hope RCA will serve your people well.

Kind Regards

Brian Davend

INFORMATION
Nation of Airport: Former British Commonwealth of Osterasia
Name of Airport: Capitale Air-Routes
Major City Served: Ostan City
Weekly Passengers heading to Cestyr: Approximately 5,000
Please detail any laws or special restrictions: None potentially, but a ban on automobiles may cause difficulty if staff or employees of the airline stay overnight.
Estimated Distance from Cestyr: 6000 kilometres
Northern or Southern Hemishpere: Southern

To who it may concern,

The large basket weaving industry in Osterasia needs a boost. The economy has even struggling lately, and my company, working closely with the government have decided that you are the optimum travel route between Osterasia and the world. Each flight would take passengers and a shipment of straw baskets, up to 16,000 per flight. This would allow the industry to boost, and the company is willing to pay 2,000 USD for each flight you make. All of the unloading of the baskets will be dealt with at the other end by Osterasian staff, if you agree to it.

I hope you agree to this business proposal, as it not only opens up tourism prospects for your country, coming to a nice tropical island like ours, but also an opportunity to make some extra money for the company.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Sir or Madam,

As Minister for Transport of the UTBI, on behalf of our Grand Duke, I would like to enquiry as to the possibility of running a number of services from our nation to Cestyr and indeed beyond into the wider international community. Our country's infrastructure is, at the minute, somewhat lacking, and so we are devoting the ministry's budget into improving the general standard of the transport facilities rather than attempting to launch a national airline. As such, we would be delighted if we would be able to run flights using your airlines, at least until we are in a position to get our own up and running.

Furthermore, notice has been made on our parts of the excellent cargo operations which you have indulged in for our good friends the Former British Commonwealth of Osterasia, and we would like to politely ask whether you would be able to perform a similar operation for us. The country, since the financial collapse and enforced winding up of our shipping company World Cargo Ltd., has been unable to export our extremely high-quality titanium poles, used for many industrial purposes worldwide, and in the use of free-standing basketball hoops. We would be ecstatic if you would be able to fly shipments of around twenty to where the demand is.

Thank you for your time, and we hope our requests are deemed favourable.

Yours sincerely,
Yannick Maken, Boltonese Minister for Transport

Dear Royal Cestyn Airlines:
Sky World Aerospace has recently developed our SkW 175 hypersonic airplane.
Image

Our hypersonic plane's main feature is, well, its speed. Its top speed is a whopping Mach 5.5 or 4,187 miles per hour, which allows it to go from Singapore to New York City in just over 136 minutes, or from New York to London in 50 minutes! 50 minutes! This high speed allows your passengers not to worry about how long their flight is. In just under an hour, they'll be there! Those long distance (but short in time) flights need comfortable seating. So that's why where bringing in the most comfortable seating for our passengers. Every seat is first class!

With this plane, transcontinental or transoceanic flights aren't that painful! Buy the AoF 750 hypersonic plane today at Sky World Aerospace.

Sincerely,
Bendra Cieasu
CEO, Sky World Aerospace
