About Monster
Monster was established in 1973 by former Police Sergeant Martin Lynch. Martin had the aim of producing high-quality bikes for a better cycling experience. From the start his innovation and expertise put him well ahead of the competition.
Martin began manufacturing and selling his own bikes in his back yard as a hobby, when the business took off however he left the force to concentrate solely on Monster Cycles. He began with lightweight steel composition frames allowing him to make high-quality yet affordable bikes, allowing many new cyclists to experience an excellent ride right from the start. SInce then the company has advanced in aluminium and composite engineering. The companies first affordable carbon fiber bike tipped a revolutionary wave in the cycling world, creating a whole new category of lightweight bikes. Monster currently pioneers high-performance designs in all areas of cycling, road, off road and X road.
In its four decades of life, Monster has grown well-beyond its roots. The company is now a leading brand of quality bikes and gear. It boasts over 12,000 retail partners worldwide but still retain the same goal as ever, to produce high-quality bikes for a better cycling experience.
