Valeria Port Aurora International Airport is located just 3km from the city of Valeria Port Aurora, and is believed to be the worlds most northerly international airport. From its humble behinings in the late 1940s right through the present day, Valeria Port Aurora International Airport has been keeping one step ahead of the geography.

Stepping inside the Airport, the first thig that greets you is space, Lots of space, which combined with soft tone lighting with a blue tint to it, and with the heat rising to top of the airport building, the glass does not get covered in ice or snow, allowing passengers to look up during the periods of polar night and see one of natures most spectacular phenomena, the Aurora Boralis or Nothern Lights, a spectacular lightshow put on in the upper atmosphere where the solar wind strikes the upper atmosphere, making it glow. It is these lights that have given the Aurora Confederacy its name.

In the 1970s Valeria Port Aurora was given a life extention upgrade as aircraft became heavier, its small runway of 3km was extended to its current length of 6.2km, slightly longer than Peace Valley International. However it has an additional 1500m of over-run length at each end beyond the threshold markings of the runway, with a further 500m of softcrete capture material beyond that to capture an aircraft that has been unable to stop in the runway distance. Valeria's softcrete runway is designed to work in the same way that a sand trap works for automobiles on escape roads, yet allows a fire fighting and rescue tender to drive on the material safely. This makes the worlds most northerly airport runway one of the safest runways, and one of the longest with 9.2km between the emergency capture zones. As well as being one of the worlds longest runways, Valeria Port Aurora runway is also 270m wide, over twice the width of some of the largest wingspanned aircraft, such as the Genesis C3000 (130.6m span) and the Antonov 225 (88m wingspan).

Valeria Port Aurora International Airport has 2 terminals, known simply as Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Terminal 1, together the two terminal give the airport a U-shape appearance, with the control tower located to the soutth, looking into the U shaped parking area. At the base of the U-shapped building is the departure check in foyer where passengers arriving for flights arrive to check in, each side of the departures are the two arrivals lounges with baggage collect.

Security, keeping you safe at VPA

Security has a strong presence here, hust like any airport, though not oppressive, with a mixture of closed circuit TV cameras, armed, unarmed uniformed and plain clothed officers patrol the concourse 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They are there not just to provide a visible deterrent against crime and the ever present threat of terrorism in the modern political climate, they are also there to help passengers, whether it be to find their gate, check in desk, or a lost child, they are on hand to help. Uniformed officers are easily identifiable by their high visibility jackets with POLICIJA on the back. Airport staff are also on hand to help with security.

Baggage security measures include x-ray scanners, working closely with INTERPOL and law enforcement, security are able to carryout hands - on searches of baggage as it is being checked in, this however is only carried out if there is due suspicion or a passenger passing through has been identified by law enforcement officers as being subject to a watch order. After being weighed at check in to ensure that baggage is within weight, it is passed tagged with its destination code, and passenger ticket information regarding name and airline, from there it passes through a high power X-ray scanner where it is checked to see if it conforms to international protocols regarding permitted items to be carried in aircraft baggage holds, or is not carrying anything suspicious.

Should anything suspicious be detected, all baggage belonging to that particular passenger is removed from the baggage loop and taken to a security room whilst Police officers go to bring the passenger in question to the outbound baggage examination room. this is to allow the passenger to witness the baggage search to see what set off the alarms or caused the baggae to fail the security sweep. Once the baggage has been searched by hand, depending on the outcome regarding the hand search is allowed to continue on in the case of all items found to be legal and innocent, or detained pending questioning by legal authorities if illegal or forbidden items have been found. If the person is a foreign national, the passenger is held until a lawyer and someone from their embassy is present.

All passengers, before moving from the departures into the transit lounge go through a security booth, all coats are placed on a tray, along with all coins and other metal items, such as belts, mp3 players, cellular phones, lap tops etc, are placed on a tray which is drawn through an x-ray scanner on a moving conveyor belt, the passenger then walks through a metal detector and then a full body X-ray scanner. should any alarms sound, (usually this is because the passenger is wearing items of body jewelley, has had surgical implants such as artificial hips or arterial stents etc), then the passenger is patted down by a security guard of the same gender in a private room to one side in the presence of a witness to ensure safety of the passenger and security guard, and to ensure that international protocol is adhered to.

Whilst waiting for your flight at VPA, passengers have the opportunity to relax and do some gift shopping at VPA's own mini-mall, between the two terminal buildings, its variety of shops cater for all tastes, and sell all manner of gifts, post cards to soft drinks, high fashion to beauty products you can find it here. There is also a branch of Cascade Lodge here, providing passengers with freshly cooked meals as opposed to the fast food grab - it - quick variety, however Cascade Lodge prices mean you get excellent value for money.

For those who suffer from pre-flight nerves, VPA uses soft tone lighting and ambient music to make waiting for a flight a more pleasant affair, and if those who need to, VPA has multi faith rooms of prayer, where passengers can seek spiritual advice and guidance.

Mount Halvaar

From Valeria Port Aurora International, the old capital city is just a short train journey away, with all the ameneties of a modern day city, though for the more adventurous, there is the chance to take a trip to Mount Halvaar. Mount Halvaar, situated 80km to the south-east provides excellent skiing on its north west face during summer, and on its south face, there is excellent climbing activity for those who like to climb an active volcano.

Greetings from TTI, long standing partner of your Nation and has become strong associates of the Aurora Rail Network. Congratulations on the International Expansion of Port Aurora Airlines.

However, TTI has an interesting potential offer.

Consider your passengers whisked quickly and efficiently from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 and then to the main city just 3km away. Now just imagine that would take just 8 minutes travel time and a service which only had a two minute wait!

That's what we propose here at Turino Trains International- a 37million NS dollar tramlink network that involved over 20 High Speed Urban Trams, which would be Sub-Purchased using another Storefront, and the rail network itself and Storage sheds being built by TTI's Engineering Track Teams.

We have suggested the following Financial Arrangement to be the most beneficial.

1) The Aurora-TTI TramSystem

The Tramlink Service would become part of the Port Aurora Airport's Ownership and would mean she would have to pay 60% of the costs for setting up the network. TTI would pay the other 40% on the condition that you let TTI maintain the Service (eg tracks/drivers/trams etc) on a simply weekly fee- (this is around NS$192,000 per week)
