Kormosk International Airport is located 18km to the West of the city of Kormosk, the most populated city in the country and the center of buisness for Prizyetsa. The airport is connected to the city via rail, with Inter-City, Suburban-Rail and High-Speed, speed-ways and via a metro line which connects to the city's metro system. Within the airport itself, all terminals are connected via Sky-Train and are accessible to handicapped people and luggage.
The airport as it is today, has come a long way from the small single hall airfield built in the 1920's. The original airfield was constructed in 1922, however due to the revolution in 1923, the airfield would not be completed until 1926, after the revolutionary government had settled in and life had fallen back into its normal routine. Originally named Konig Mauritz Flufeld, the airfield was renamed Kormosk-Dogai airfield in 1926, and the title was again changed to airport in 1938.
The first flight from the airfield was made on the 14th of July 1926, and was a postal plane flying mail to the nearby city of Guthe, 70km to the North, as a demonstration of the availability of technology to do so. Two months later, the Kormosk-Guthe line was established with flights every other day carrying mail and passengers. This is considered the birth of commercial flight in Prizyetsa. After this event, the airport extended its net of routes across Prizyetsa until 1943, when the first international flights were made into the Kauvaran city-states to the South.
Today, the airport serves dozens of lines all over the world, carrying thousands of passengers to their destinations, safely and wherever they may be.
Security at Kormosk International Airport is taken very seriously. As one of the main concerns of the airport, passenger safety is approached both seriously as well as bright and friendly. Security is provided by the National Guard, the local police force and private security firms, all working together to provide a safer environment for the passenger as well as the employee.
Kormosk is the largest city in Prizyetsa, with a total of 460 million people calling it and the surrounding districts home.
