The Wolf and Sparrow Shipwrights company evolved on 13 April 1984 with one goal in mind: To produce quality vessels at a reasonable price. Previously known as Stevenson Shipwrights Guild, a company founded in 1875, the little firm was sold out of the family by the last remaining direct descendant after she had fallen on hard times. Soon after being bought by the new CEO, Thomas Wolf, the company was re-branded 'Wolf and Sparrow Shipwrights'. This firm quickly produced quality vessels and became a favorite among the Lower Realm's government. Now, 13 April 2012, Wolf and Sparrow is finally ready to move to the international front and begin its journey.

Wolf and Sparrow recognizes the Euro, Dollar and NS Standard Dollar. All orders are easily payable via standardized borrowing plan as long as the intention to do so is made clear in the order.

Rules:
1. I reserve the right to deny a product/service to any one.
2. I reserve the right to do background and economic checks on any nation. Although as long as you look legitimate, I will probably not.
3. All sales are SIC (secret in character).
4. Please do your own math, not doing so may result in your order being pushed to the back of the pool.
5. Payment plans are not only accepted but encouraged!
6. All line-art here is strictly not to be tampered with. All of it is either mine or someone that I have compensated in an agreed upon manner for it. All pictures are used legally, in terms of Public Domain or fair use.
7. DPR's can be negotiated, however, I'd prefer them to be negotiated over telegram before being posted here.
8. If you have any questions/comments/hate-mail please feel free to send them over telegram, but please do not clog up the main thread.

Sovereign Mk. III aircraft carrier

Postby The Lower Realm » Fri Apr 13, 2012 7:43 pm

Image
Full Picture
The nuclear powered, Sovereign Mk. III, is the true testament to the will power and ingenuity of the Wolf and Sparrow. With its innovative designs and stunning performance, it is the epitome of naval power.

History/Overview
The Sovereign class aircraft carrier was originally of Realm design and made for the Greater Consortium of Nations, however, since the production rights belong solely to the Realm, it was deemed acceptable to grant these rights to Wolf and Sparrow to produce a similar version.

The Sovereign Mk. III is an excellent addition to any naval fleet and will be well at home almost anywhere. Designed to be nothing less than the centerpiece to a task force, she certainly has the capability to do it. Her design came about as an efficient way to produce relatively inexpensive ships that would perform admirably in combat as well as in diplomatic situations.

In her brief history, she has undergone major refits and remodels. Originally meant to be an "in-your-face" flagship, the newer model is toned down and retrofitted with RAM (Radar Absorbent Material) to reduce radar detection.

Life Aboard the Carrier/On-board Facilities

This carrier is meant to be able to last indefinitely, needing only to be resupplied by air or sea when the need arises. Because of this, she has been given a number of facilities that help make the journey for the crew more enjoyable as well as keep them healthy.

Gymnasiums: The Sovereign is equipped with three gyms, accumulating over 3,000 square feet of workout space! Among the equipment included will be: treadmills, dumbbells, bars, plates, free weights, matting and ellipticals. This will help sailors relax as well as keep them in shape.

Cafeterias/Kitchens: The Sovereign is equipped with five mess-halls, each running 24 hours a day, albeit only serving food four times a day. The fifth mess-hall is meant to be a more formal, officer mess-hall, serving food only twice a day.

Medical Facilities: The Sovereign is equipped with two medical facilities. These include two surgical operating tables, IV equipment, medications, and everything else needed to run a fully functional, if not smaller, hospital. When operated within the Realm's Royal Navy, it is equipped with three doctors(nurses) and a surgeon.

Cabins: Cabins on all aircraft carriers are tight and the Sovereign is no exception. The junior enlisted personnel share a smaller room with five other people. However, the commanding officer of the ship receives his own room with a small attached office.

Sensors

The twin SURCH&DSTROI (Searching Upward Rapidly Catching Hostiles & Destroying Special Targets and Rapidly Offering Intelligence) complete a number of things simultaneously. Keeping with Wolf and Sparrow's tradition of more automated ships, these radars assess threats, alert the commander of the vessel, and prepare a plan of defense to be approved by the commanding officer. The radar accesses two touch-screen televisions that display Intelligence (keeping with Sparrow's RADAR Rapid Analysis of Distance, Azimuth, and Range) one one screen while the course of action pends approval on the other. The commanding officer is able to select a 'Yes' or 'No' button, that, depending on the choice, either launches the plan accordingly or formulates another plan. This plan can be ignored while the officer formulates his own plan or approved as well.

The ICU Mk. III has undergone several dramatic transformations. Originally, it was only divined to give the ship a heads-up of surface combatants, however, since its conceptualization it has made great strides. It is now intertwined with a sonar that alerts the crew to any torpedoes or other propelled objects with a lock on the ship. Once alerted, it will deploy either the Narwhal or Walrus defense suites according to the situation. The Walrus deploying a decoy that is self propelled and emitting a sonar signature to draw torpedoes off, and the Narwhal temporarily leading the torpedoes off before self-destructing. (the former being used sparingly as a last resort in a large task-force where a friendly ship might be injured, the latter being used when it is deemed safe which is the usual, due to the decoys traveling down.)

And, as all aircraft carriers need air traffic control sensors, the LHG Mk. III has been designed to pick up on friendly aircraft and guide them home. It will do this by activating a series of lights, green, yellow, and red in the form of an X on the deck, each able to be seen only at a certain altitude to leave little doubt where the carrier is and how far below it is, guiding even the most inexperienced pilots home in the toughest of conditions.

Armament

Most aircraft carriers are designed to be purely defensive and this is no exception, however, most carriers are poorly armed. This is where the spotlight hits Wolf and Sparrow. Our carriers are built to be active combat participants, albeit at a lower rate of fire than its more specialized compatriots. With Ship to ship, Surface to Air, and Anti-aircraft missiles, this is one ship that could go toe-to-toe with militarized frigates.

Specialized Design

Wolf and Sparrow's carrier design uses never-before-seen technology. It uses a walled-off runway (of course leaving the bow open) and superstructure encased with Radar Absorbent Materials to mask some of its radar signature. This walled-in runway should not pose a problem to most pilots, as this can even be considered a safety feature. Instead of losing a life on an accident where a plan rolls over the edge, the wall should stop it. However, while landing was our biggest concern and we still see no problem with this. We find that most pilots find it comforting to know that they are walled in, and pilots should not be getting close enough to the edge that they should hit a wall while landing in any event.

As most of a carrier's visible hull is comprised of the flight deck and superstructure, the encasement in RAM has drastically masked any radar signature, making it appear to be a vessel that is not fitting for one this size.

Aviation

The signature feature of any aircraft carrier, aviation, is well taken care of. Holding 95 aircraft at maximum operational range, this carrier should hold more aircraft than should ever be used in any campaign. It uses technology for its catapults that is not unlike that of a Nimitz. Every catapult is comprised of two pistons that sit inside two parallel cylinders, giving enough energy to bring the plane from 0 to 165 mph in two seconds!

Wisconsin Class Frigate

Postby The Lower Realm » Fri Apr 13, 2012 8:11 pm

Surface combatant
Image
Full Picture

The Wisconsin class frigate is designed to be the perfect balance between firepower and affordability. Suavely designed and elegantly performing, this can be a center-piece in any navy, especially when combined with its price. The Wisconsin has been split into five different groups: the Anti-air, anti-sub, surface combatant, mine-layer, and hospital refits.

Broad Overview
The Wisconsin class is a jack of all trades, and thus is difficult indeed to give a concise overview on all types in one general section, however a broad one is easily achievable. The Wisconsin class was originally brought about as a cheap way to compose a relatively advanced navy, however, as time went on, it became apparent that the, then one class, needed a major refit. It was deemed too low on firepower and armor to be of continued use and so was originally going to be rectified through the addition of more armaments and armor, however, a relatively unknown pioneer came forward with the idea of splitting them into five major classes.

List of Hardware used
Most of the hardware found in the Wisconsin class have either been copied or refitted from other Wolf and Sparrow classes, however, here is the break down of the equipment used:

Armament:

LRBAG 100mm gun: 'naval rifle', working in conjunction, this piece of machinery is capable of accurately shooting a shell over 41 nautical miles; and with 40 rounds a minute passing through it, this is a tool of massive destruction.
16 cell sub length Mk. 42 VLS system: re-sized missiles to fit on a smaller ship, each system is capable of firing 672 missiles at one time; usually used in conjunction with another system of the same type
RAD-Mk. II: Refitted Air Destroyer; missile capable of traveling great distances in the air. Generally used as missile defense system, also used as anti-aircraft as well as ship-to-ship
RAMD Mk.III: Specialized anti-aircraft missiles
570mm Seal class torpedo: Torpedo with a big boom. The tubes for this are capable of swiveling a relatively 'great' number of degrees in order to accurately track underwater vessels
130mm cannon: Generic cannon that shoots 130mm shells.
Anti-submarine quad-celled RUBRIK system: Anti-submarine missiles using the same technology as a Quad-cell 'Tailgater'.
Quad-cell 'Tailgater': The quad-cell missiles are a Realm design. The unit itself is a cube that sits down in the ship and pops-out upon command. It contains a total of 80 missiles that can be launched at one time.
40mm cannon:Larger version, but generally used for the same purpose as, a naval 'Goalkeeper'. Missile defense/anti-aircraft weapon of choice.

Sensors/Electronics:

The Lion's Mane:The 'Lion's Mane' is the creme de la creme of the Realm designs. It is mounted to the hull in a dome shape on the bow of the ship. It has the ability to display apparent range, bearing and true bearing on multiple targets simultaneously. Not only adept at picking up surface combatants but also below the surface threats, this is truly an excellent addition to any vessel.
The Lion's Tail:The 'Lion's Tail' is an aptly named towed, passive sonar. It is towed almost directly on the stern of the vessel. It is capable of transmitting true bearing in its passive state.
GHBU radar: The twin GHBU radars are designed to abide by the Realm standard of RADAR (Rapid Analysis of Distance Azimuth and Range) with the Distance showing the distance in nautical miles the target is from the vessel, the Azimuth being the threat axis, and the Range being a constantly updating method of keeping track of how far these targets are within your firing range. With this standard, you now have a radar that keeps track of:
1. How far away the target is.
2. What direction the threat is and a read-out of the types of vessels and their capability that come with it.
3. An exact timing window that will give you the best precision firing of all weapons systems.

Brief Overview:
The Anti-submarine version has encompassed all different types of advanced sub-hunting technology. When used in the right hands, she should easily be able to find, chase down, and eliminate any submarine threat.
The quad-celled RUBRIK (Running U Boats Repeatedly Instantly Killing), when combined with the Realm's sensors systems do what the name implies, run down a submarine and, if it had multiple lives, would kill it repeatedly, doing so nearly instantly each time. Even the most advanced structural bracing could not take sustained fire from the RUBRIK, exactly what it is designed to do.

Vojna Class Battle Cruiser

Postby The Lower Realm » Sat Apr 14, 2012 9:52 am

Image
Full Picture

The Vojna class cruiser is designed to be a multi-purpose cruiser. With its several missile launching systems, it is excellent Anti-aircraft support, and with its twelve torpedoes and advanced sonar, it is adept at submarine hunting. Its many guns do allow ship-to-ship combat, but that was not a major design factor, even though it does include rocket launchers and the Realm designed quad-cell SSM systems.

History

After the "Great Submarine Scare of 2012", it was realized that if maritime safety were to be ensured for the United Kingdom, there must be a vessel that could protect the nation under the surface. After the second wave of the "Great Submarine Scare of 2012", when air support was given as well as a surface fleet, it became manifest that this new vessel must not only be able to be used in conjunction with other surface combatants, but also that it must be given advanced anti-aircraft capability.

And now, we have the final product, an elegantly professional multi-role battle cruiser.

Sensors
The 'Lion's Mane' is the creme de la creme of the Realm designs. It is mounted to the hull in a dome shape on the bow of the ship. It has the ability to display apparent range, bearing and true bearing on multiple targets simultaneously. Not only adept at picking up surface combatants but also below the surface threats, this is truly an excellent addition to any vessel.

The 'Lion's Tail' is an aptly named towed, passive sonar. It is towed almost directly on the stern of the vessel. It is capable of transmitting true bearing in its passive state.

The twin GHBU radars are designed to abide by the Realm standard of RADAR (Rapid Analysis of Distance Azimuth and Range) with the Distance showing the distance in nautical miles the target is from the vessel, the Azimuth being the threat axis, and the Range being a constantly updating method of keeping track of how far these targets are within your firing range. With this standard, you now have a radar that keeps track of:
1. How far away the target is.
2. What direction the threat is and a read-out of the types of vessels and their capability that come with it.
3. An exact timing window that will give you the best precision firing of all weapons systems.

Weapons

For all intents and purposes, the Vojna was designed to give you a one-up advantage on all enemy threats coming from above or below. While not particularly adept at surface combat, having to rely heavily upon guns and limited missile systems, when combined properly with other elements of a normal naval fleet, it can perform admirably.

Its massive body houses different types of weapons, most of them multi-role, all of them lethal. Guns are triaxially mounted and the barrels are liquid cooled, keeping them from harming themselves from overheating. Mounted to the fore of the vessel is the 130 mm LRBAG 'naval rifle', working in conjunction this piece of machinery is capable of accurately shooting a shell over 41 nautical miles and with 40 rounds a minute passing through it, this is a tool of massive destruction. Also mounted are eight 30mm anti-aircraft Gatling guns which, o conserve space are double mounted. These are capable of flinging a shell 4,000 meters, much to any aircraft's chagrin.
They have two modes of fire, the lowest one being 250-300 shells per minute, and the highest one being 550 shells per minute. With sustained firing at over 500 shells per minute, this ship is a menace to any aerial foe. A single mounted 'Sharp-shooter Mk. II' 100mm multi-purpose naval cannon is also equipped. In this Mk. II version, the manual back-up system has been eliminated, to increase efficiency in the main system which, in extensive testing, has not failed. For those wishing to preserve this manual back-up system, all you must do is include your desires in a letter and the vessel will be equipped with the Mk. I instead.

Its many missile and torpedo systems were designed to give you a large boom and were meant to be as lethal as possible. With its innovative missile designs and load-outs, it is capable of defending from most air threats. With two 16-cell 42 sub-length VLS systems, this cruiser is capable of putting over 1,000 missiles in the air with this system alone. The 'Rat' long-range SAM turret was originally designed to be able to take out aerial threats from long ranges of over 100nm away, but have also been used as anti-ship missiles. As a last resort, the Close In Defense SAM, 'Spyder' has also been installed. They have an operating range of 10nm and move at 2.6k mph and has a kill range of 27 feet, ensuring that once you hit it, it stays down. The quad-cell missiles are a Realm design. The unit itself is a cube that sits down in the ship and pops-out upon command. It contains a total of 80 missiles that can be launched at one time. Between all of these systems, some may call this vessel armed to the teeth, we at Wolf and Sparrow call it prepared for what ever combat may throw at you.

The conceptualization behind the torpedo tubes is unique. This cruiser was originally designed to be protection detail for a task force, but with its high speed and multiple torpedoes, it was deemed necessary to instead develop this vessel to be able to perform in either protection detail or be the vanguard of the entire fleet. It is capable of firing twelve torpedoes in unison. It is also capable of firing two 255mm rockets simultaneously.

And even if its numerous torpedo tubes weren't enough to frighten away even the bravest of submarines, it is also equipped with 'Walrus' torpedo countermeasures.

These countermeasures are the Walrus Mk. II, they are self propelled decoys that emit a sonar signature to lead the torpedo off of the vessel. Once within a preset range of safety, it explodes taking the torpedo with it. These are deployed automatically as soon as the ship's sensors pick up a torpedo; eliminating any human mistakes and theoretically saving dozens of vessels from slow reaction time.

Aviation

This cruiser has been given the ability to house three medium sized helicopters for sub-hunting. Each helicopter is given the most cutting-edge technology available to assist in submarine hunting and destroying. Every helicopter is capable of carrying up to four anti-sub missiles. They are also equipped with both active and passive infrared detection and magnetic anomaly detection.

There is a retractable below-deck hangar to house these submarines, ensuring that they are safe even in combat.

The Kitrost class multi-role submarine

Postby The Lower Realm » Sat Apr 14, 2012 5:57 pm

Image
Full Picture
History and Overview
The Kitrost is a revolutionary piece of technology.
The fuel-cell powered Kitrost is the most innovative ship manufactured by Wolf and Sparrow to give a competitive edge without nuclear power. Another ship divined after the "Great Submarine Scare of 2012", the Kitrost was originally designed for a purely defensive role, to be an escort for any fleet, protecting against other submarines and providing support for ships; however, with new technology only recently available, it was deemed prudent to also manufacture a submarine with anti-ship technology that could 'hunt down' enemy vessels. The resulting hybrid is the Kitrost, now designed for not only escorting and protecting a fleet or task force, but also quite capable of hunting down and eliminating anything from merchant vessels to other submarines

Stealth
The Kitrost was designed to be the epitome of stealth, designed to track down and destroy other submarines; noiselessness is a necessity. Through extensive research it was found that most sonars simply could not find the Kitrost, especially if they were not actively scanning for it. To do this it incorporates brand new polyurethane anechoic coatings, isolated deck structures and a new design of propulsion, a fuel cell, making it virtually undetectable for sound-related devices such as sonar.
It also makes use of a Degaussing system, encircling the vessel with superconducting ceramic cables, thus greatly reducing the magnetism of the flexible, HTS (High Tensile Strength) steel used in constructing the Kitrost.

Propulsion
This is where the innovative eye of Wolf and Sparrow starts to show. Originally, the Kitrost was to be nuclear powered. However, later it was learned that at the cost of a relatively small amount of speed, one could manufacture submarines that don't give off noise or heat signatures, and this was an opportunity too good to pass up, going by the old "Stealth keep submariners alive" slogan. These fuel cells, unlike their diesel burning cousins, are not required to have oxygen to combust, giving the Kitrost the ability to stay submerged for up to three weeks.

Armament
The Kitrost is equipped with everything needed to give the enemy a bad day. Mounted to the fore in groups of three are six 660mm torpedo tubes. Also mounted are two smaller torpedo tubes to accommodate IDAS missiles and naval mines. Once again, the Kitrost's original and secondary purpose come out. With 660mm torpedoes, you can destroy a battleship, cripple an aircraft carrier, or eradicate a submarine. The IDAS is the world's first missile that gives submarines the opportunity to fight back against aerial menaces, making those sub-hunters think twice about wanting to find you, it is also quite adept at engaging surface combatants. Four missiles can fit perfectly in one 533mm torpedo tube, of which there are two. This gives you a combined load-out of firing six torpedoes and eight missiles simultaneously.

Armor
The Kitrost was originally designed as a fragile submarine, not meaning to get hit. Now, with its improved role of going on the offensive, it has been given several precautions to ensure it wins any battle. Firstly, its best defense is its stealth, if you can't find it, you cannot hit it. Tangible armor however, includes: a triple pressure hull, reinforced hull bracing (ribs) to reduce risk of breach by detonation, as well as its steel hull.

Electronics
Being a diva of modernity, even rivaling that of the Sovereign aircraft carrier, the Kitrost has been equipped with several features. Among these are: the Photonics mast that has effectively eliminated the need for a mechanical periscope, instead giving a 'digital camera' authority to take colour, high-resolution black and white, and infrared images that appear on a control panel, the TILT Navigation Suite, an aptly named navigational system that uses gyroscopes to keep the ship's sensors stable, even when the ship is not, passive (used mostly) and active (sparingly, if ever used) Lion's Set sonar, and inertial guiding systems using gyroscopes to keep track of the submarine's movements and location are the most notable.

Specifications
Displacement: 1,473 tons surfaced; 1,853 tons submerged
Length: 186'
Beam: 23.2'
Draft: 20'
Propulsion: 1x LRIHT 16v diesel engine; 2x Simon PEM fuel cells (135 kW each); 1x Anthony electric motors driving 1 skewback propeller.
Speed: 26 knots max submerged; 15 knots max surfaced
Range: 7500 n. miles at 15 knots
Complement: 5 officers; 25 enlisted
Electronics: Photonics mast; TILT Navigation Suite; passive and active sonar; inertial guiding systems using gyroscopes to keep track of the submarine's movements and location are the most notable.
Armor: a triple pressure hull; reinforced hull bracing (ribs) to reduce risk of breach by detonation; steel hull.
Armaments Six 660mm torpedoes; 8 VLS tubes (for IDAS); 2 553mm torpedoes (for IDAS hitting surface combatants; naval mines)

To: The Honourable Thomas Devon of Wolf and Sparrow Shipwrights Limited.
From: The Rt Hon. Julius Frej Shriver. Minister of Foreign Affairs to His Majesty's Government.
Subject: Official ministerial procurement. [translation: English] [encryption: High]

Dear Thomas Devon,

Representing His Majesty's Government and the Commonwealth of the nineteen Yohannesian countries, it is in my capacity henceforth to voice the wish of the nineteen governments, and ultimately that of the Yohannesian Crown, on behalf of the Finance & Trade Minister himself, to establish a formal trade agreement and importation contract, between that of His Majesty's Governnment, and that of the Lower Realms' registered entity of Wolf and Sparrow Shipwrights Limited.

Whilst the nineteen Yohannesian countries have always been known upon internationally for its competitive and world quality engineering product, its economy still lack the adequate quantity of high-technology machineries and products needed to sufficiently serve the home island's manufacturing industries, engineering sector and domestic consumer demand. Thus, the Commonwealth Government heavily rely upon import for such.

Due to the strong international exchange rate and value of the Yohannesian Quertz russling, HM Governments of the nineteen countries, and that of the Foreign & Trade Office, has further found that importing key designs from various legitimate and established industrial manufacturing entities overseas can indeed be advantageous fiscally, in comparison to establishing the necessary production capabilities and manufacturing allocation needed for domestic comsumption, demand and sector requirement.

Henceforth in full accordance by the authority of the Commonwealth Council, The Lord's Chancellery, and as consented by the ratification of His Majesty's Federated Assembly, under sovereign dictation of His Majesty Aurel III, the Commonwealth Foreign & Trade Office would like to request upon the shipbuilding commission of three Sovereign Mk. III [CVN], surmounting at the full monetary payment requirement of US$25,500,000,000.00, or twenty-five billion and five hundred million in universal standard dollars denomination by foreign exchange standardisation.

Upon your represented body's approval of this missive, the aforesaid projected full amount of monetary fund shall be channeled thereupon within one full working day's period (Yohannesian Crown Imperial timezone applied) through His Majesty's Governmental account within the authorised central banking institution of the nineteen countries and The Crown, that of the Yohannesische Bundesbank.

Dyavola class destroyer

Postby The Lower Realm » Sun Apr 15, 2012 10:16 am

Image

History/Overview:

The Dyavola was first conceived to combat the increasing popularity of ballistic submarines. A ballistic missile has enormous destructive power and so the new Cobra ABM was developed to eradicate this threat. Upon testing it was found to be successful and so was produced for purchase from Wolf and Sparrow. The Dyavola also possesses a number of other features that make it a formidable enemy and dependable ally, among these are its advanced sensory features and multiple missile systems.

Sensors

Armament:

The 90 cell Mk. 41 VLS system is a design that has never been used before on Wolf and Sparrow designed ships. It was believed this would give the Dyavola a more cutting edge performance. According to testing, this holds true; however, the 90 cell has not been used in combat situations.
The Cobra ABM is the real star of the show and the only new addition in the missile inventories of any ship of Wolf and Sparrow's ships. The Cobra is a 21' 6" long missile that feeds on solid fuel. It has an operational range of well over 500km as well as a flight ceiling of over 100 miles. Its speed measures in at a startling 9,600km/h! It has a few modes of guidance, among these are: GPS,INS, and semi-active radar homing. It uses a LEAP (Lightweight Exo-atmospheric Projectile) that is designed to destroy ballistic missiles both inside as well as outside the earth's atmosphere.
Multiple torpedo tubes are included for both submarine deterrent as well as surface combat. Its 255mm rocket launcher is meant to be used for all things above water.

The Dyavola possesses five guns, choosing to focus instead on missile systems. One 130mm LR-BAG 'naval rifle' is included to engage smaller threats; as well as four, dual mounted (2 mounts) 30mm naval Goalkeepers to deter aerial threats, both manned and unmanned.

Dear Sir/Madam:

We are contacting you regarding your purchase and further, the completion, of one or more vessels. The remaining vessels have been completed and are being sent to you now.

In addition, it has been brought to my attention that a very grievous clerical error has been made. What should have been 22,950,000,000NSD was instead 25,000,000,000. We deeply regret this wronging and to assuage this great folly, we would like to refund you the full sum of money sent to us. We feel it is only fair to you, as a customer, that when you are wronged, you should be compensated for more than the wrong was worth. We hope you accept our offer.

Thank you; please feel free to contact me back to address any questions or concerns you may have.

Guardian class Coastal Patrol Vessel

Postby The Lower Realm » Wed Apr 18, 2012 4:14 am

Image

History/Overview
The Guardian was designed with several things in mind. It needed to be affordable, yet powerful. It was also designed to support a Special Operations team in their endeavors. It has been empowered to protect coasts from rebels and pirates alike, with ease, and yet maintain its speed and grace. It is the main vessel of its designation to be used by the United Kingdom of the Lower Realm.

Sensors:

Armament:
The Guardian has been designed mainly for small-scale combat. And while its main focus is on smaller caliber guns to defeat pirates and enforce greenwater maritime security, it has, however, been given VLS and SSM capabilities, giving it the ability to move to a blue-water scenario and help out in enforcement overseas. These are also the perfect capabilities for a special-forces ship. Designed with a small port in the back, it has the ability to house a small, rigid hull inflatable boat to mobilize special forces teams.

Specifications

Displacement:334 tons
Length: 181 feet
Beam: 25'
Draft: 8'
Propulsion: Four Heinman diesels; 4 shafts

Hello and kind greetings from the republic of Miopic. We would request to buy two Sovereign Class Aircraft Carriers to total to 17,000,000,000 however we find the fact that the ship only accompanies 1 surgeon on board for such a large crew space so in that we ask you to modify both ships to hold more we will pay an extra 10k for this modification bringing this to a grand total of 17,000,020,000

TO: The Government of Mipoic
FROM: Wolf and Sparrow Shipwrights limited

Dear Sir/Madam:

Your letter, appearing to have the intent to purchase one or more of our fine vessels, has been delivered to my secretary’s desk, and consequently to my own. Please allow me to personally introduce myself; I am Mr. Thomas Devon, the head of Wolf and Sparrow Limited, and if you are seeing this letter, it means that your order has been approved either in its entirety or in partiality. Your order of:
[*] x2 Sovereign Mk. III aircraft carriers

Has been Held until such time as both parties are happy.

Please allow me to explain this. The Sovereign Mk. III is the main aircraft carrier of the Lower Realm, who, in such a time of peace, have elected to staff only one surgeon. This is entirely a suggestion. The Sovereign itself carries four operating tables, split into two rooms. We believe that this should be sufficient.

Please contact me back at the return address to attend to any questions you may have.

Signed,
Thomas Devon head of Wolf and Sparrow
