History

History

The History of Oceana Fishing Incorporated is filled with ups and downs, deep tradition, and it can be seen in those moments when the love and respect for fishing is the only thing you see.

Oceana Fishing Incorporated was started by Howard J. Rawlings under the name Rawlings Fishing, in 1901. He started out with one row boat and a net. Everyday, at 5:00 A.M. he would row out to his little spot on the bay and toss his net out. He would do this until 10:00 A.M. when he rowed back in. He did this for 10 years before he finally got a break. Some one invested in his company. He was able to buy a bigger boat and hire a two man crew. This led to more money. But then, tragedy struck. One day, Howard and his 2 man crew decided to try a new area. On the way there, they got hit by a powerful wave. It swept one crew member of the boat. The boat was pushed into a rock where it sunk. Howard J. Rawlings and David Moore both died in that tragic accident. As for the crew member swept off the boat, he it swept to a rock where he battled to live. 5 hours later he was rescued. The new owner of Rawlings Fishing was the shareholder. He then changed the name to Ocean Fishing Inc. From that point on, Oceana progressively got bigger. They transformed from a one rowboat fleet operating in a small bay to a 105 boat fleet operating all over the world with over 300 workers and over 10,000 Lbs. of seafood coming in each week.

Yes. The final price will be 45900.00 USD. Since you are the first customer, you get a 500.00 USD Discount, lowering the price to 45400.00 USD. Once we recieve the wired money, the fish shall be shipped.
