A very special message, straight from the parlour room of one P.L. Kitchener
Image

CEO and head designer of Steel Carapace Manufacturers

My dear sirs and/or madams.

Before you, prospective foreign buyer, stands the range of military and defence products that our esteemed company has to offer. I will not dither about by telling the full history of our glorious company, but know that we have long been held in the highest of regard within our nation for the quality and efficiency of our work.

As I am not a cultural attaché for the entire country of Brachyuria, I do not believe it falls to me to explain in detail the reasons why, but for religious reasons, our product line is devoid of any aircraft. If you are looking for any such equipment, it is my somewhat forced duty to inform you that by doing so you are "further spreading the dark stain of powered flight across this once glorious planet". I also must add, on a more practical note, that all deliveries will have to be done by means other than air transport, at least in the initial stages of leaving Brachyuria.

That all said, I wish you all the best in your hunt for quality products, and hope that our range satisfies at least some of your needs.

Yours

Naval vessels

Postby Brachyuria » Tue Jul 19, 2011 5:05 am

Unfortunately, the specific requirements and restrictions of designing vessels for the Brachyurian navy means that many of these vessel classes may be unsuitable for other nations, particularly ones who value the usage of naval air arms. No surplus products are available either, so any orders will either have to be constructed by Steel Carapace upon the order, or in your own nation through a domestic licence.

Re: Purchase order INT#03-200711

Dear Sir

Your order, for

300,000 Bunkle Utility Trucks ($4,500,000,000)
200,000 Bunkle Heavy Logistics Trucks ($1,200,000,000)
50,000 Bunkle Fuel Tankers ($1,500,000,000)

50,000 Greyling APCs ($47,500,000,000)
4,000 Greyling U APCs ($4,000,000,000)
5,000 Vandergrift AAMLPs ($6,500,000,000)
10,000 Brannulv AFVs ($15,000,000,000)

2 Bronzi class Battlecruisers ($15,000,000)

Total: $80,215,000,000

Has been approved

It was the final decision of Steel Carapace Manufacturers that any upgrades to the Greyling U's armour would not be cost effective. If this does not dissuade you, we can provide a general armour modification kit of Explosive Reactive Armour boxes and slat armour to be attached to the vehicles, this would mean an added cost of $400,000 for enough to share amongst all the requested vehicles of that type.

We assume that you have informed yourself of the drawbacks of ordering any of our naval stock. Since a statement suggesting otherwise has not shown itself, Steel Carapace Manufacturers itself shall begin production of the 2 ships once payment is received, provided of course that this is all satisfactory. Asides from the battlecruisers, we estimate a delivery period of several months to accommodate the size of this bulk order.

I hope this meets your requirements.

Yours

We would be willing to pay an extra $400,000 for the additional armour. We have wired the money already. We assumed that the only "Problem" with your vessels is that they were from the 50s, if that is the only thing, we don't mind.

Lewis Burns

Re: Re: Purchase order INT#03-200711

To be certain that everything you receive is what you had expected, I wish to clarify that by 'drawbacks' I was referring to the following disclaimer. Found before the product list for our naval products.

Unfortunately, the specific requirements and restrictions of designing vessels for the Brachyurian navy means that many of these are unsuitable for other nations, particularly ones who value the usage of naval air arms. No surplus products are available either, so any orders will either have to be constructed by Steel Carapace upon the order, or in your own nation through a domestic licence.
Due to having no Identify Friend or Foe capability, the anti-air systems of all Brachyurian ship classes are likely unsuitable for use in any other navy. We suspect this will make the below products undesirable to the international market. The following are listed for the unlikely event that this is not the case.

What this means from your standpoint, is that non-Brachyurian anti-air and point-defence missiles which will fit the vessel's vertical launching systems will have to be obtained, as our shipborne missiles of those types are designed around a navy which does not use or indeed advocate the use of air power, and considers all aerial targets unfriendly by default. Additionally to that, the internal systems of the vessel relating to the detection and targeting of airborne targets will need to be supplemented with systems that allow it to differentiate between friendly and unfriendly aerial targets.

This is one of the aspects of our product line we are currently working at redeveloping for a global market. I did not expect any orders of our ship designs until an export version of their ordnance and internal systems had been developed, and I apologise if this aspect of our naval stock was not made clear enough.

If required, the cost of the 2 battlecruisers already wired to Steel Carapace Manufactures can be reimbursed fully to you if you would prefer to retract your order for them.

Yours

We are fully equipped and have been creating our own munitions for decades. Therfore we never import missiles, ammunition etc. as we don't need to. We also have a largwe small arms and vehicles manufacturing industry but tend to import large amounts of foreign small arms and vehicles to get a mixed selection in our Armed Forces. Our order still stands.

Sincerely,
Lewis Burns

From: Sigbjørn D. Tidemann, Minister of Defence of the Arch Duchy of Norheimir

To whoever it may concern.

The Arch Duchy of Norheimir is currently looking to re-equip it's armed forces with newer more up to date military hardware, and as your corporation has a reputation for reliable and generally well designed equipment and vehicles we wish to inquire about the following.

- Adopting the BAR87 and the BP13 as the standard service arms across all Norheimiric military branches, starting with an order of 500,000 BAR87's, 150,000 GL89 attachments, and 150,000 BP13's.
- Replacing all support weapons with the BSW87, HG66, AA-7 Red Claw, AT-01 Hopkins, and the AT-02 Caglor. Starting with an order of 50,000 BSW87, 30,000 HG66, and 10,000 each of the man-portable launchers.
- Adopting the Hobert Armoured Car as the nations standard armoured car. Starting with an initial order of 1000 units of the HG66 version, 600 units of the RWS HG66 version, and a final 300 of the Tordenfuglen launcher version.
- Adopting the Archibald and the BRALAV as armoured personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles for the Norheimiric Army and Home Guard. Initial order of 3000 Archibalds and 1000 BRALAVs.
- Adopting the Geraldric I MBT for the Norheimiric Army. Initial order of 400 vehicles.
- Acquiring domestic production licenses for the aforementioned equipment and vehicles, as well as any applicable munitions, licensed to the Norheimiric National Armory and the Hertugstad Group (Both publicly owned companies).

We would also like to contract SMC inc. to aid us in adapting a locally produced anti-air system for use with the BRALAV platform, as we believe it will suit our armed forces needs better then your current anti-air product line. If you accept, then the adapted vehicle will first and foremost be produced domestically in Norheimir, and the design licensed from SMC inc. with your usual terms applying.

Sincerely,

Sigbjørn D. Tidemann

Cybus1 would like the DPRs to the bunkle heavy logigigiscs and the bunkle fuel tanker ( with extended tank if possible) . We would also like to sell your ship producers the highest quality shipboard radar Mk.1 by Cybus Industries. It can be provided at a rate of 5000 per year for 1 NSD per unit. You tell us how many years you want us to supply you and we shall send you a telegram with the bill.
I don't use NS stats, please refer to the factbooks. Terms to use: Cybus, Cybusian, The Infinite Cybusian Empire. Feel free to TG with suggestions, comments, feedback, questions, etc, especially about factbooks.

Re: Purchase order INT#01-030809

Dear Sir

Your order, for

500,000 BAR87s ($375,000,000)
150,000 GL89 attachments ($37,500,000)
150,000 BP13s. ($37,500,000)
50,000 BSW87s ($92,500,000)
30,000 HG66s ($63,000,000)
10,000 AA-7 Red Claws ($1,400,000,000)
10,000 AT-01 Hopkins ($700,000,000)
10,000 AT-02 Caglors ($1,300,000,000)

1,000 Hobert Armoured Cars with HG66 ($165,000,000)
600 Hobert Armoured Cars with RWS HG66 ($102,000,000)
300 Hobert Armoured Cars with Tordenfuglen MPGM launchers($84,000,000)

3000 Archibald APCs ($3,300,000,000)
1000 BRALAV IFVs ($2,200,000,000)

400 Geraldric I MBTs ($2,000,000,000)

Total: $11,856,500,000

Has been approved.

Due to the bulk of the order, it is expected that the delivery period for all the requested items may be as long as two months, but the geographic closeness of Norheimir will lessen travel costs. The delivery costs will be handled by Steel Carapace Manufacturers.

Your nation's case, of being an inoffensive neighbour to Brachyuria, and a member state of Melivorica, has led to the application for domestic production licences being approved. Hertugstad Group and the Norheimiric National Armory will be added to the list of client companies. The purchase of such a license is a one off cost of $10,000,000 for the small arms, related ammunition and attachments, $25,000,000 for the launchers and their missiles, and $50,000,000 for the four vehicle designs requested.
That comes to $85,000,000, which added to the total for the initial order reaches $11,941,500,000.

Co-designing an anti-air variant for the BRALAVs that fits with your requirements is a satisfactory request. My jurisdiction falls only to charging for orders and services, but I have informed Mister P.L Kitchener, the head of the design team, about the request. I pass on word from mister Kitchener that he would be most interested in co-operating with the design teams of Norheimir on this issue, and asks that the specifics of what this variant would entail are forwarded to him and the design team.

I hope all the above fits with your expectations for quality service, and thank you for choosing Steel Carapace.

Yours

Re: Purchase order INT#05-030811

Dear Sir or Madam

Your request, which we have deduced is for domestic production licences for the

Bunkle heavy logistics truck
Bunkle fuel truck

Has been denied.

At present, the foreign affairs ministry has insufficient information on your nation to make a risk assessment. That, coupled with a lack of the proper standards of writing and economics protocol has led to a dismissal of the order.
We apologise if this inconveniences you.

Steel Carapace Manufactures has no wish to order any foreign made Radar systems, as our own makes are quite sufficient.
Additionally, the price of a single ns dollar leads our import officials into doubting the quality of the product, but an increase in price would not change our stance on purchasing your systems.

Re: Re: Purchase order INT#01-030809

I'm pleased to hear that our purchase, as well as our application for domestic production licenses, have both been approved.
At this moment the total sum of 11,941,500,000 NS dollars has been wired in full, and we are more than satisfied with the stated two month delivery time.

I'm also very pleased to hear that our co-design request was well received, I will forward the particulars to Mister P.L. Kitchener as soon as our design team at Hertugstad Defence and Aerospace prepares the necessary materials.

Sincerely,

A very special message, straight from the parlour room of one P.L. Kitchener
Image

CEO and head designer of Steel Carapace Manufacturers

My dear sirs and/or madams.

It is with great pleasure that I announce that our product line has expanded to include 10 new items which may be of use to our esteemed clients.

Graciously, we have been given permission to export the recently designed Brachyurian small arms coming into use in the Brachyurian military, the Weapons and Armaments section now contains pricing and information about the BAR87U and DK-MAR assault rifles, which together should present a fine range of options for a client looking for either a standard configuration or bullpup small arm with which to arm their military.

Larger weaponry is also now available, with the DK-54 40mm gun and DK-76 25mm Autocannon available for use as static land emplacements and fitted into naval vessels. The LA-65 Mortar and MA-105 Howitzer provide heavier ordnance options, and all four of these designs have years of service in the Brachyurian military proving their strength and reliability.

Recuiring a redesign of internal systems to better suit the needs of foreign service, the mainstay missiles of the Brachyurian navy are now available for export. The Asunder and Soaring Pincer surface to air missiles are part of a continuing anti-air project in Brachyuria that receives upgrades on a regular basis, as near-daily trials against all manner of airborne targets, particularly flocks of "the heathen seagull menace", allow the designs to be fine tuned to a point that some have said nears perfection. The Asunder SAM is available as part of the terrestrial "Imperial" AA platform, but along with the Soaring Pincer, the Red Arcing Wave anti-ship missile and the Beacon anti-missile missile, it is also designed to be fired from the "Rosenthal" vertical launching system, integral to all large Brachyurian naval designs.

Speaking of which, our Naval vessels section is now more appropriate for foreign needs, as the internal electronics of all ship classes have been redesigned to suit the needs of non-Brachyurian users. In particular, the electronic warfare systems of all of our ship designs now have the ability to identify the difference between enemy and allied airborne targets, this was not included in the original designs through lack of necessity. Unfortunately, our ship classes still have no helipads, and Steel Carapace Manufacturers will never be designing an aircraft carrier, even if requested.

That all said, I wish you all the best in your hunt for quality products, and hold no personal grudges towards those who use such technology.

Yours

Given that the recent project to re-equip the Brachyurian infantry has now finished, the design teams of Steel Carapace Manufacturers are now available for requests in designing or co-designing items for clients who are not entirely satisfied with the current range, and wish for something that appeals more to the details of their own specific needs.

It should be noted that designs for items that are illegal in Brachyuria (Aircraft, Nuclear and Biological weapons, air-launched ordnance) will be ignored.

Those clients interested should fill out this short form, in order to provide the preliminary basic details about any requests.

Client company/military:
Design section: Weapons and Armaments/Vehicles/Naval Vessels (underline one)
The item's intended role: (eg. "Assault Rifle", "Armoured Personnel Carrier", "Destroyer")
