Assault Rifles

AP-2

Image
Image
Designation: AP-2 (Avtomat Polyakova, model 2)
Designer: Aleksandr Polyakov
Designed: 1998-2000
Producer: Slovitrean Heavy Industries, Firearms Division
Produced- 2001-

Specifications

Length: 970mm
Barrel length: 458mm
Weight: 3.6kg unloaded, 4.1kg loaded

Action: Short-stroke gas piston, rotating bolt
Cartridge: 6.5x45mm JMC
Muzzle velocity: 840 m/s
Rate of fire: 800 RPM
Feed system: 30-round box
Effective range: 550m
Sights: Open rear, front post, photo-luminescent insets

History
The 6.5x45mm cartridge had been around since the early 1980s, and its current platform, the AP-1, was reliable and hard-hitting, but it was heavy, inaccurate, and generally disliked by troops for poor ergonomics.

Therefore, in 1998, Aleksandr Polyakov's design team began work on a new rifle, one that was more ergonomic, lighter, and more accurate. They rebuilt the weapon from the ground up, aiming for the start for the new 6.5mm cartridge, and redesigning Polyakov's action to be more conventional.

After studying current designs of rifles that fired a round between the 5.56x45mm NATO cartridge and the 7.62x39mm M43 cartridge, Polyakov decided on using a short-stroke gas piston, much like the Armalite 18 and the Magpul Masada rifles. Also, instead of aiming for a 356mm carbine-centered rifle, the design team created a full-length barrel, allowing for greater accuracy than the AP-1.

After a competition against a re chambered Remington ACR, HK416, and a modified AK-74M, as well as several competing Slovitrean designs, the AP-2 was selected to become the next standard assault rifle of the Slovitrean Defense Forces.

In 2015, designing began for a highly advanced 6.5x45mm caseless assault rifle, which would eventually replace the AP-2 in front line roles.

Design
Action and Receiver
The AP-2 features a short-stroke gas piston design, located above the barrel, similar to that of the Magpul Masada assault rifle. The charging handle and ejection port are all located on the right side of the weapon, and have a brass deflector for left-handed shooters. The receivers are made of machined aircraft-grade aluminum, and feature an ambidextrous safety (Safe, Semi, Auto).

Barrel
The AP-2 has an 458mm (18in.) barrel, with a 1:8 inch twist. The barrel is hammer-forged steel, and is chrome lined to reduce corrosion.

Feed System
The AP-2 is fed from new polymer 30-round staggered column magazines, which are not STANAG compatible, even with earlier weapons chambered in 6.5mm JMC.

Furniture
The AP-2 features a triangular polymer handguard, without rails standard, but includes slots for side, top, and bottom RIS systems. In addition, the AP-2 accepts most types of M16 RIS handguards, allowing replacement.* The stock is polymer, and folds to the left, and contains a cleaning kit, as well as a small survival mirror and thermal blanket. Those items were included as an emergency supplement for troops, who may forget to bring survival gear on missions, but obviously will never forget their rifles.

*AP-2 handguards are NOT compatible with M16 pattern rifles

Accessories
The AP-2 is fitted with standard Picatinny rails on the receiver, allowing most RIS-compatible optics and launchers to be attached. The rifle is sold with the base rifle, four magazines, and a cleaning kit.

Cartridge
The AP-2 is chambered in 6.5x45mm JMC ammunition standard, providing a balance between stopping power and accuracy.

Price- $2,700 per unit
$270,000,000 for bulk of 100,000
$2,700,000,000 for DPR rights

SVP-2 DMR
Image

Designation: SVP-2 (Snayperskaya Vintovka Polyakova, model 2)
Designer: Aleksandr Polyakov
Designed: 1998-2000
Producer: Slovitrean Heavy Industries, Firearms Division
Produced- 2001-

Specifications

Length: 1,076mm
Barrel length: 564mm
Weight: 3.7kg unloaded, 4.2kg loaded

Action: Short-stroke gas piston, rotating bolt
Cartridge: 6.5x45mm JMC (Match Grade)
Muzzle velocity: 900 m/s
Rate of fire: 800 RPM
Feed system: 20-round box
Effective range: 700m
Sights: Open rear, front post, PSO-4 rifle scope

Details
The SVP-2 is an enhanced, accurized variant of the AP-2 rifle, intended for use as a DMR. It uses the same action, but with a longer and free-floating barrel. The rifle's barrel also is accurized, and the receiver uprated for overpressure, match-grade ammunition. The SVP-2 can use standard JMC ammo, but it is NOT recommended, and JMC MG (Match Grade) will cause chamber damage to standard AP-2 rifles due to the higher chamber pressure and velocity.

The rifle also features a bipod, for use for stationary, long range shooting.

For more information on the AP-2 series, please see the above section.

Price- $2,800 per unit
$280,000,000 for bulk of 100,000
$2,800,000,000 for DPR rights

AP-12 AICR

Image
Image
With ACHG sight (sold with AP-12)
Designation: AP-12 (Avtomat Polyakova, model 12)
Designer: Aleksandr Polyakov, Lyran Arms (EI trigger)
Designed: 2015-2017
Producer: Slovitrean Heavy Industries, Firearms Division
Produced- 2018-

Specifications

Length: 790mm
Barrel length: 508mm
Weight: 3.6kg unloaded, 4.3kg loaded

Action: Electric ignition, short stroke gas piston
Cartridge: 6.5x45mm Caseless
Muzzle velocity: 840 m/s
Rate of fire: 700 RPM
Feed system: 40-round dual column box
Effective range: 500m
Sights: Flip-up rear & front, photo-luminescent insets

History
In 2015, during a tour of Lyras, Aleksandr Polyakov saw the LY21 assault rifle, and realized that the current AP-2 was outdated, inefficient, and that a new weapon was needed. With the permission of the Lyran government, he used the electronic ignition action of the LY21, and placed it in a new shell, which he designated the AP-12. He also modified the Lyran action to fire a caseless variant of the 6.5x45mm JMC round, offering a slightly larger round than the Lyran 6.3x40mm bullet.

After two years of trial and error, the AP-12 was produced, and was immediately selected as the next generation assault rifle for the Slovitrean armed forces.
Design
Action and Receiver
The AP-12 uses an electronic ignition system, meaning that instead of a trigger mechanism and a hammer igniting the propellant, an electronic charge will detonate the charge, reducing moving parts greatly, and allowing for greater reliability. The charge is provided by two 16 volt batteries, located in the stock, which can be changed within 30 seconds, and can be recharged from most kinds of outlets, in military vehicles, as well as in with the standard Slovitrean power outlets. Those batteries usually last around 4500-5000 rounds without requiring a charge. The rifle uses a short stroke gas piston, similar to that of its predecessor, the AP-2, as well as other standard bullpup rifles.

Forward on the receiver is the ambidextrous charging handle, for use by left and right-handed troops. The ejection port is located only in the right side, due to the fact that it is only used to eject jammed rounds, not shell casings.

The safety is identical to that of the AP-2, and features three settings: Safe, Single Shot, and Automatic Fire. Also, located on the top of the rear receiver is a small battery power indicator, displaying how much charge the weapon's batteries have left.

Barrel
The AP-12 has an 508mm (20in.) barrel, with a 1:8 inch twist. The barrel is hammer-forged steel, and is chrome lined to reduce corrosion.

Feed System
The AP-12 is fed from 40 round dual column polymer magazines. They feature two parallel columns of 20 rounds each, and as each column is emptied, from right to left, the bolt rotates over to the next column, until ammunition is exhausted. The AP-12 features a last round bolt hold open device, to allow faster reloads.

Furniture
The AP-12 is mostly polymer, as a weight saving measure, and it features the first integrated RIS on any Slovitrean weapon, with side, top, and bottom rails.

Accessories
The AP-12 is shipped with its proprietary rail-mounted 40mm caseless grenade launcher, the SGL4, which is also fired using an electronic charge. The grenade launcher is single shot, but it features almost no moving parts, and is extremely reliable. All AP-12 rifles are shipped with integrated flip-up iron sights, 4 magazines, 4 batteries, and a SGL4 unit.

The RIS systems on the AP-12 allow the user to attach most Picatinny rail compatible optics or equipment, as well as other SHI launchers, as well as most rail-mounted UBGLs.

A new feature of the SGL4 came after the advent of "Taser Slugs," shotgun-fired rounds that deliver an incapacitating shock. The SGL4 uses a modified variant of those slugs, fired from an nonexplosive round that discards in flight, leaving only the incapacitating slug to impact the target. This advent is key to use by police forces, and "capture, not kill" missions, where users may need a quick way to incapacitate a target without using live ammunition, or when rubber bullets may not be suitable to knock a target down in one shot.

In addition, all AP-12 rifles come with their standard optical gunsight, the ACHG, standing for Advanced Combat Holographic Gunsight, which acts as both the sighting system for the rifle, and can switch to a leaf-sight reticle for use with the SLG4 launcher.

Cartridge
The AP-12 uses a caseless variant of the 6.5x45mm JMC round, encased in a block of propellant, specifically composed to prevent accidental cookoff. As with several other caseless rounds, the main propellant of 6.5x45mm CJMC is RDX explosive.

Future variants may include a 5.56x45mm caseless round for export use.

Price- $3,500 per unit (includes SLG4 and ACHG)
$390,000,000 for bulk of 100,000 (includes SLG4 and ACHG)
$3,900,000,000 for DPR rights (DPR of SGL4 and ACHG included)

K-44

The 14 Round Magazine, The 20 Round Magazine, and the silencer
Image
I will replace this lineart soon
Weapon Designation- K-44
Type- Semi-automatic pistol
Caliber- .45 ACP +P, 9x19mm 7N21 +P
Action- SA/DA short recoil
Magazine capacity- 14 rounds or 20 rounds
Fire Rate- N/A
Frame- Polymer

Design
The K-44 is an advanced, polymer framed semi-automatic pistol. It features a lightweight polymer frame, but it features incredible durability, able to withstand anything short of a high-caliber bullet. One of the most significant features of the K-44 is the mechanical recoil reduction system. This system is incorporated into the recoil spring assembly, located below the barrel and consists of a heavy, captive coil spring around the guide rod. Designed primarily to buffer the slide and barrel and reduce recoil effects on the pistol components, the system also lowers the recoil forces felt by the shooter up to 20%. The K-44 recoil reduction system is insensitive to ammunition types, or even overpressured rounds and does not require adjustment or maintenance.

The pistol features a grip magazine release, as well as a slide-mounted safety similar to that of the IWI Desert Eagle Mark XIX. There are slots on the forward frame to allow rails, and tactical lights and lasers, to be attached. The pistol features a 14 round magazine, or for sustained firing, a 20 round extended magazine.

Price- $1,000 per unit
$100,000,000 for bulk of 100,000
$1,000,000,000 for DPR rights

What would things have been like if every security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive? Or if during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? The Organs would quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!
