History of CorkScrew

In 1723, Annabella Le Vin, a French aristocrat, decided to move to Albertasby. In her home land of France, she was a food critic and a wine connoisseur; being described as one of the best in the business. With her husband, Pierre, they bought a vast estate in the Albertasbian coutryside.

Upon the estate, grapes were planted and the estate began to produce wines, but it wasn't until 1749 that Annabella began to turn the estate into a business. Previously, the wines had only ever been made for their world famous parties and their closest friends, but in 1749, she began to sell her wines at the marketplace, thus CorkScrew was founded.

With the passing on of two generations, Annabella and Pierre's grandchildren took over the estate. Under the joint ownership of Henri and his wife Aimée and Stéphanie and her husband Matthieu, the estate began to sell more and more beverages; with the introduction of beer, larger and cider.

In 1928, Jacques Le Vin inherited the estate, and he branched out to producing high quality cocktails, vodka and flavoured alcoholic drinks; branded as alcopops. He also extended the estate to some of the surrounding fields and the estate had grown massively.

With the April of 1956, Émilie Le Vin and her husband; Henri Clarence, began to expand the company even more. The company was growing rapidly and Émilie had and idea to make it seem to her competitors that the company wasn't dominating the market; she began to sell each individual beverage under a different trade / company name; even though she owned all of the companies.

Current Owners

The current owners of CorkScrew and the Le Vin estate are husband and wife; Philippe and Astrid Le Vin. Philippe was born into the estate and grew up on the farm with his parents. From a young age, he expressed interest in running the company and producing the drinks.

Astrid was an Albertasbian opera singer and actress. Born in Swantana, she was always a city girl and enjoyed the finer things in life. In the summer of 2001, the couple married and therefore Astrid was bought into the company. She adapted to it like a duck to water and began to enjoy the company; becoming a farm girl.

The Perfect Pour

The Perfect Pour is the portion of the company that deal with both the production and sale of wines. All wines produced must meet a high standard and a strict criteria; including taste, texture, smell and colour. Ranging from the typical red, white and rosé to the more obscure flavours of apple and peach, their is a wine for all tastes and budgets.

The Vineyard

The vineyard where the wines are produced are located on the North East of the Le Vin estate, in the heart of the Albertasbian country side. The grapes are grown free of all chemicals, with a rose bush in between every sixteenth vine. Only the finest Albertasbian Royal grapes are ever used to make the wines we produce, giving them a far better quality than if we used other grape varieties. The grapes are grown with love and care and we harvest them when they are at their most ripe, a bunch at a time.

Red Wines

Vin rouge de Albertasby
Vin rouge de Albertasby is the estate's trademark wine. Its aromatic, deep flavour is complimented with fruity undertones of grapes and cherries, whilst being complimented with hints of ginger and cinnamon. The subtle flavours combine into a symphony of taste in your mouth and compliments all meals.
Per bottle, the price is 32 USD and a barrel is priced at 200 USD

Albertasbian Cabernet sauvignon
Albertasbian Cabernet sauvignon is one of the estate's best selling wines and is aged in oak barrels to bring out the best flavours. Its full-bodied, fruity flavours are rich and vibrant and complimented with light undertones of vanilla and plum. Its deep purple colour is characteristically popular, and the taste comes with age.
Per bottle, the price is 24 USD and a barrel is priced at 120 USD

The Chianti Gem
The Chianti Gem is a fairly new wine for the estate, yet it is rapidly increasing in popularity. Its firmly structured medium-bodied flavours burst with notes of ripe berries, dry, nutty undertones and dark plum.
Per bottle, the price is 20 USD and a barrel is priced at 100 USD

White Wines

Vin blanc de Albertasby
Vin blanc de Albertasby is the signature white wine of the estate. Its claim to fame is its lightness in colour, texture, body and character. However, its high acid and tannin levels make it a prime candidate not only for blending but also for aging to mellow the brash tannins and inspire flavour elements from the barrels to round out the character.
Per bottle, the price is 30 USD and a barrel is priced at 180 USD

Pinot Grigio au Albertasby
Pinot Grigio au Albertasby are light and delicate, being rather subtle in both flavour and aroma, though their are delicate flavours of almonds and peaches. It is an incredibly smooth wine with fruity tones, often reminiscent of melons and pears. Pinot Grigio au Albertasby's colour is anything but grey, leaning instead towards coppery yellow and sometimes even a pale pink.
Per bottle, the price is 28 USD and a barrel is priced at 160 USD

A Homage to Sauvignon Blanc
A Homage to Sauvignon Blanc is crisp, high in acidity and light-bodied. It is recognisable for its grassy flavour and aroma and its fruity flavours. It is a herbaceous wine with underlying tones of mint, rosmary and basil.

Rosé Wines

Vin rosé de Albertasby
The Vin rosé de Albertasby is the pinnacle of rosé wines on the estate. It is a fairly young wine, as it develops fruity and herbaceous flavors early on. The wine is delicate and fruity, with subtle flavours of eucalyptus and strawberry.
Per bottle, the price is 22 USD and a barrel is priced at 100 USD

Cabernet Franc Rosé
Cabernet Franc Rosé is the other of the rosé wines produced by the estate. It is a medium-bodied wine with both depth and subtly. Its mellow flavours of cherries and mint combine to create a light, fruity taste.
Per bottle, its price is 20 USD and a barrel is priced at 95 USD

Vin d'épices Albertasby
Vin d'épices Albertasby is a wine made from red grapes and heavily infused with spices; most notably ginger, cinnamon and star anise. Its deep, full-bodied wine is flavoured with aromatic flavours, giving it a warming sensation.

The Apple of my Eye
The Apple of my Eye is the estate's apple wine and combines the flavours of three different apple varieties and cinnamon. Its flavour is light, fresh and fruity, with undertones of spice and heat. It is a sparking wine and is a wine unique to the estate.

Taste of the Tropics
The Taste of the Tropics is a wine made of tropical fruits, including; apricots, pineapple, pomegranate, lemon, lime, orange and coconuts. As well as the tropical fruity flavours, it is combined with cocoa to give it even more of a tropical feel.

Nature's Gift is the portion of the company that deals with the manufacture and sale of beers and stout. All beverages produced must meet the exacting standards that are set, including; taste, texture, colour and the fizz.

The Brewery

The Brewery of the beers is located in the local village of the estate, half a mile from the estate, in the heart of the Albertasbian countryside. The highest quality barley and hops are grown directly on the estate and are combined in the brewery with Northern Albertasbian glacier water, yeast and freshly picked Albertasbian sea weed.

Nature's Gift Original
Nature's Gift Original is a crisp, refreshing beer that has an instant cooling effect. Its refreshing, zingy flavours are complimented by the fresh undertones and malted tastes. The frothiness of the head and the bubbles of the beer all combine to make this an enjoyable pint of beer.

Taste of the Night

Golden Zing
Golden Zing is the best selling beer of the company. Made in traditional brewing style, this beer is both refreshing and deep, with a crisp, dry feel to it. It is light and easy to drink, with a mild hop flavour and a light body.

The Ghoul of Beers

Vibe is the section of CorkScrew that produces and sales both vodka and flavoured vodka drinks; known as alcopops. All of the drinks produced must be of the highest standard of clarity, colour, taste and flavour. Alcopops range widely in flavour; from fruits and colours to those flavoured like well known drinks.

The Fruit Farm

The Fruit Farm is located on the Le Vin estate, in the heart of the Albertasbian countryside, and grows dozens of different fruit varieties that are used to flavour the different alcopops. The fruits are only used at their freshest and are harvested during the summer months mainly.

Vodka

Diamond Vodka
Diamond Vodka is the premium vodka of the company and is 40% alcoholic volume. It is a diamond standard vodka that is used to create the alcopops of the company. It is a rival of the premium Russian vodkas and has so far out sold them.

Crystal Vodka
Crystal Vodka is the new, up and coming vodka on the market. With a lower alcohol volume (of 38%), it is of a lower quality than the diamond vodka but it is still of the highest quality. Although it is less popular, it is still a high seller and it is a common sight across night clubs.

The Brewery for the lagers is located in the same brewery of the beers, just located on another floor to keep the lighter, fresher lagers from the heavier, silkier beers. Made from the same high quality ingredients of the beer, it merely brewed and stored at lower temperatures.

Original
The Original lager of the company is just that, the original flavour, blend and look of lager. It is made the same way as the Nature's Gift Original, however it is brewed for less and at far lower temperatures. This leads to a fresh, crisp taste that is unrivalled throughout the world.

Conversely, we would ask that our drinks would be offered through your network to any customers looking for soda products. If you are willing to accept shipments of our fine non-alcoholic soda drinks to your distribution centers, we would gladly do the same with your products. We propose, financially, that the drinks be sold to each other at wholesale cost, with each of us being able to keep the retail profit when selling each others drinks.
