Your Storefront Is Perfect, don't touch anything which related to formatting . beside that , I need some help to calculate my total sales and calculate the subtotal with minus of 4% ( Mikoyan-G guide says 5% to so-so profits)

I think you still got space to be honest. Your ground section is a bit big but you got the pictures to use for public viewing. I've always used a spoiler format so I could keep things neat and organized - though overall our formats essentially are the same. It's really up to you on how you approach it as following a more condensed look is a good idea, but your current pictured layout is good looking right now; though for the future, I do suggest a spoiler system for pictures and standard prices - it's healthy for growth and space.

If you want you can take inspiration from my system on my product page for Wolf Arms. It has categories, a list, and each product is listed along with its prices and a picture if available.

Hi I was wondering if anyone knows how to make those pictures that are animated? Like a slideshow. I have seen some storefronts that have them and I want to display one on my storefront. Thank you

I believe they're made using a GIF making site. It's been a while since I learned how they were made, so I may be off, but I believe they're actually GIFs made either on a program or a site that makes them. It wouldn't hurt to contact the storefront owners you mentioned to ask how they did it - im sure they'd help.

I make all of mine using Photoshop, just so that they look a little nicer. I suppose if it's just a simple image slideshow a GIF making site could do the job.

Thought so. I had an old editing software I used that had a GIF maker on it so I figured most were done there if not on some site somewhere.

agreed with TECT and Lolomz Nach, I feel your storefront's fine as it is (though that's how I feel... I guess you feel the length of certain things are a bit off)

and since people are talking about gif stuff... yeah, I use a gif maker site for the ones I have in the storefront thread for my fictional bank. If you Google search there should be some good ones out there. Though sadly using gif (from a gifmaker website) will slightly reduce the quality of your displayed images (and give a couple of blurs or dots here and there), so I guess that's the downside...

Hey everyone! One of my rare posts here, but I just wanted to share with everyone the tools I use to create my logos! :)

My logos are usually created on online logo creator sites, I don't have a fixed one, and go through multiple everytime. It would normally have an editing function where I can input my name and additional lines.

I would take a screenshot of the image that I have just edited, best if I can find a preview without the lines behind. Since I'm on a mac, I use the app Snip.

After that, I rely on Lunapic.com to remove the white backgrounds after. If it doesn't work (usually because of anti-copyright lines) I try a few other methods through https://burner.bonanza.com/.

If it still doesn't work, then I'll have to resort back to find another logo.

So that's my process. Hope it helps! :p

Also, what do you guys think of my storefronts? I've never actually asked much for feedback after 1 year scurrying around doing business… so just wanted to get to know all of you guys better OOC and how I can improve my storefronts! :) Thanks guys!

Stupid question here: How does this work? I've been searching and reading through various help sections, but I have been unable to find a clear answer.

Are GE&T, Incidents, and the forums in general *only* for RPing? Will anything posted here actually affect the stats of my nation?

Example: I agree to pay 3 billion NS$ to make a University on the forum. Is $3 billion actually removed from my GDP and then will the education stats of my nation increase?

Or is it that only issues affect my nation and there's no other way I can influence it?

Answering your Q's briefly (others can add/correct):

Jafn wrote:Are GE&T, Incidents, and the forums in general *only* for RPing? Will anything posted here actually affect the stats of my nation?

There are 2 types of RP, one where you RP as your nation, and one where you RP as something else, be it a movie character, etc. Generally GE&T, NationStates, International Incidents, NS Sports, and FaNI are all for the first type of RP, with Portal to the Multiverse catering to the second type. Other subforums are out-of-character, and nothing posted on the forums will affect your stats, so you don't have to worry about that.

Jafn wrote:Example: I agree to pay 3 billion NS$ to make a University on the forum. Is $3 billion actually removed from my GDP and then will the education stats of my nation increase?

Like I mentioned, nothing posted on the forums affects your stats. So if you make a payment of $3 billion, nothing really happens; your stats won't go up or down, and your treasury won't go up or down either. However, if you wish to record that transaction yourself, and keep track of purchases you make, etc, that's at your discretion, and that's where the RP part comes in.

Jafn wrote:Or is it that only issues affect my nation and there's no other way I can influence it?

Issues and World Assembly resolutions (if you're a WA member) are the only things that may affect your nation's stats, nothing else.

On NS, there's a large RP community and Gameplay community. All of the Diplomacy section is IC RP. You can choose if it affects your nation or not, but stat wise, no, what happens here does not affect your Gameplay stats. Only answering Issues can do that. Nations on Diplomacy rely on their created stats and nation - it can be based on your gameplay forum nation or you can make up an entirely new name. Anyways. Your stats are ONLY affected by Issues - IC cannot affect your actual NS nation (not included Mod actions of course).

I am new to GLOBAL ECONOMICS AND TRADE.

I have just found oil in Balska Bay in my nation, and I want to sell it. Do I need some sort of bank account or how do I sell it?

I operate a petrol company here, and we do these things quite frequently.

Normally what we do is to offer some compensation to the nation's government, depending on the size of the fields and how much oil can be drawn, and some contractual terms such as who pays the cleanup cost should anything happen. Instead of a one-time compensation, you can alternatively seek a percentage of the earnings by the driller. These terms are between you and your buyer.

It would be good for your buyer to have a storefront on the forums, so there's some credibility, background on the company, as well as a proper platform to negotiate and trade.

A generic petrol storefront would look like this: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=311974
(That's mine)

In GE&T, money is only a bonus factor towards RP. It is not a requirement to have bank account, but it only enhances the whole storyline more.

Hope this helps! :)

You can apply for a bank account at any of the banking storefronts on the GE&T.

There are tons of banks out there, but most players use the Bank of Yohannes, which can be considered the icon of the GE&T forums. Although Yohannes won't respond to most requests and the storefront operates autonomously now, due to its size and track record, it is considered the most stable, which is what most people look out for in real life.

Some other smaller banks out there like Commonwealth Bank or Staatsbank Imperialia can keep your money for you as well.

Another bank I recommend is the IBS.

Just apply on their storefront and state your initial deposit. Then when selling off your oil fields you can just ask the buyer to direct the money into the account.
