I'm not a mod, but I've been asked for my input on this subject so here I am.

Firstly: New Metropolitan France, when you suspect someone of plagiarism your best bet is probably first approaching them. Not everyone realises how frowned-upon it is in GE&T, and maybe they just find your storefront so perfect they want to emulate it. Either way, it never hurts to give people the benefit of the doubt. If it remains a problem, you can take it to Moderation.

Anyway, to get to the point - one is clearly copying the other. You've changed the text around (or dumped it completely) but the format is almost identical. Sure, it makes sense that you'd be covering all the same bases, but it is blatant where your inspiration came from. Copying someone else's idea almost to the letter is poor form and pure laziness. Ports on GE&T have been done before, so there's nothing wrong with you doing your own, but please - get your own style.

It's taken care of, France said he was fine with me just putting the link to his thread in mine.

I am confused, everything look so real in role-play about the price and all that, does the role-play affect the gameplay in anyway?

Um... no. RP doesn't affect gameplay in any way.

No. Not unless you want it too. Many prefer to make different stats and realities to actual gameplay stats. Roleplay, however, does not affect your gameplay stats in any fashion possible. You can use your gameplay stats for RP, but that's about it.

Would it be possible to make a topic about all the Businesses on GE&T with my rankings, just let it be unofficial?

there are several such threads, so it is possible.

Yes. There are a few ranking storefronts out there but there has been a few actual listing sources too. Both of them, official or not, are welcomed. If they get to a good status it may be possible to sticky them on top if they do good - that of course being for listing pages and not ratings storefronts. But all of the above is welcomed for sure if you do it correctly.

Hey I am about to relaunch an Airline storefront and I was wondering if anyone had some advice about formatting an Airline Storefront. I have revamped this one numerous times and I would really like to get it right this time.

It looks pretty good, but I do have some things about the OP. I would have your main picture/logo in the center where it is seen better. Your direction links should be lined up bellow that. That's how I do it anyways; I think it looks a lot more cleaner that way. Otherwise your storefront looks pretty good (airlines aren't my thing so im probably not the best advice here).

Ok thanks! I am thinking about changing the direction links for exactly that reason, and the fact some of them look different than the others.

What would be a good price point for a coffee bar? I'm planning to set the original coffee price at (from S/M/L): $1.75/$2.00/$2.30. Is that reasonable?

I believe this image should help you decide a price range.

Yeah, I'll probably bump up my prices marginally.

Hey guys I just got back from a long break. I was thinking about making two separate threads as product catalogs for all the information about a specific product. Like a separate thread for ground vehicles and another separate thread for small arms. I also plan on introducing a new line of utility trucks and exoskeleton suits for soldiers. The sea of information is kinda clogging my main storefront thread and making navigation slightly harder.

My storefront: http://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=342108

What do you guys think?

I agree making catalog threads would be best. The less clogged your OP's the better.

I wonder, why is military the most popular thing in GE&T?

Because to most players the military is the most interesting part of running a nation.

Also since armed conflict is the most common form of RP there is naturally a huge demand for it.

When military engagements consists of food fights between nation leaders in RPs, or maybe Dance Dance revolution matches.

It happens. Banks, oil companies and airlines/airports are usually the most common, and they have moments where a dozen spring up at once, but there are quite a few assorted civilian storefronts on the first page of the forum right now - a couple of food places, IT and telecoms, vehicles, and a bunch more. They're only as successful as their customers make them, though, so if you want non-military to increase why not give them your custom?

^^ this. I'm guilty of it too, as I haven't probably done a good round of it in a while. To fully round out your national canon, you could and would most certainly have other airlines flying into your ports, International restaurant chains and pubs, use cell service, have imported cars, foreign oil supply, possibly have satellite breweries :p (I have a lot of brewcraft industry). There's construction firms, alternate energy and just so much out there. Even a Port-a-loo company. Think of just about anything and do a search through GE&T and it will probably turn up.

A bit non-sequitur: Someone mentioned to me yesterday that GE&T is rather 'dry' when it comes to RP and I would have to agree, if all you do is fill out a form and get accepted. Try doing a full In Character letter from a government or business official to a company you're buying from, attached to your applications. Put in a little back story and culture in there. It does wonders and sometimes you can get a little back and forth interaction that's a win-win for the storefront owner and yourself.
TG me with questions if you got some, especially about GE&T or PMCs.
