Can I please have your thoughts on my Airport Application Form?

I noticed that the usual application process is for gate rentals so I wanted to do something different. I partially based it on real airlines paying for "landing slots" at airports instead of gates. I think it's reasonable in an effort to be a bit more realistic, but do you think it's a good idea or a bad one? Thanks in advance.

First of all, though you are still working on your storefront, I think that your storefront will look great just like the ones you've made earlier. Nothing less from you!

I think that this a novel idea. I really appreciate it when people try to be as real as possible. I did have some difficulty understanding the concept. You could rephrase it as follow (this is just a suggestion):

Instead of offering gate rentals, Arklay Airport offers four slots:

[THE SLOTS]

One slot includes all arrivals and departures taking place within that time period. For example, if your flight arrives at 12.05 PM and departs at 3.00 PM, both arrival and departure are included in Slot B but if your flight arrives at 4.00 PM and departs at 6.00 PM, the arrival is in Slot B and departure in Slot C.

Airlines will be charged according to the number of flights per slot. Slots with higher runway traffic are more expensive than those with less runway traffic. (Bullet these points)

I would just do it in the form of a simple spoilered list of names. If you want to link to their nation pages, you can also put [nation][/nation] tags around their names. I wouldn't worry about putting more information like how much of each product they've ordered, or how much they've spent, etc. From personal experience, that's too much work to maintain - especially if you're like me and attempted to keep the list in alphabetical order

This look pretty amazing, especially the formatting and the content. If you keep it in your factbook, it isn't likely to get many visitors unless you adopt special advertisement strategies (link in your sign., advertising in RPs you partake in etc.). You could move over to the forums and create an application asking players to link significant development in their nations or regions and you can make news reports about them.

While replying, I spoiler all flight information ( you can spoiler their quantity of product ordered, money spent in that, and any other information you include in your reply). You can then title the spoiler with the nation name and copy and paste that in an inventory that you make on the lines of my timetable. Thus, you can include all information you want without typing it again and again.

I'm thinking of introducing a storefront selling swimwear as I don't see many clothing retailers here in GE&T. Do you think posting pictures of men and women in swimwear (think board shorts for men, one piece and two piece swimsuits for women) is too racy or against the terms of agreement? Pictures should be pretty tasteful, with all normal body parts covered. The plan would be to fully reveal some of the pictures on the storefront page, with others spoilered. My thoughts are that the storefront would be clearly labeled as "swimwear" or "beachwear", so individuals would know what they are getting into upon opening it.

It's always nice to see people trying domains that aren't really popular on this sub forum. You can't post any content that is:

obscene
illegal
threatening
malicious
defamatory
spam

Since what you intend to post doesn't falls into any of these categories, I don't think you'd face any problem; however I suggest that you clarify it with one of the mods just as an extra precaution. You can also run a banner saying that the storefront depicts photos of people wearing swimsuits so visitors may exercise their discretion while browsing.

2. In RL, exchange rates are calculated on the basis of their demand in the international market (for floating currencies). This is pretty difficult to determine on NS so you can decide to use a pegged exchange rate that is set and maintained artificially by the government (as in case of the storefront cited above).

I personally dont like that we have to put the flight numbers and times - those of us with the bigger airlines have all of the route planning done ICly and not OOCly to maximize profit and get our airliners from one place to another - you're not going to have an airplane flying one route all the time, and it's hard to do all of the planning that goes into RL airline schedule and prices and etc. that goes on OOCly. Just my opinion that you shouldn't have us tell you all of our info about the flights.

It's coming out to be a great storefront as always.

yeah, that's better. Honestly, if they feel like they want to give you their flight information, then that's okay, but those of us with bigger airlines/who realize how much work airline planning goes through don't usually have the wherewithal to give that information.

its a tricky one as it is even more difficult to come up with something unique from that time that isn't very very simialr to existing things.

Then there is the PT player base many of whom fall into two catagories: those who play PT because they don't wan tto the bother with custom stuff and/or don't care about individual arms and those who play PT because they've already created thier own custom stuff.

I've played about with the idea for some 18th/19th century peices i've drawn and to combat the above I was toying with going "dual mode" with the primary "mode" being selling modern recreations/replicas (all still built the traditional way ala colonial Williamsberg) and a secondary option for people looking to use stuff for thier PT roleplays or to flesh out national backgroudns to simply be added to a user list rather than going through the usual purchase mechanism, unless of course they desired to do so.

I suspect the key to selling PT small arms will be very very pretty pictures.
