Since man realized a rock was better than his teeth at opening nuts, the race has begun. The race to evolve - not our bodies, but our minds. And with every invention, we come closer to our next. Each invention brings us closer to our ultimate goal - the pinnacle of evolution. The Singularity. This is our goal. To evolve, to adapt, to survive.

Mission Statement
The Brotherhood's mission is first and foremost to forward the technological prowess of man. Technology is our lifeblood, it is the source of mankind's power, and the reason it is our responsibility to reach The Singularity. However, technology is meant to preserve man, not to destroy him. Weapons technology is a necessity, not a goal, and should be treated as such. The preservation of man is the most important thing we can strive for - the protection of our environment, the development of clean fuels, and the protection of human rights is a constant priority. Finally, we are the peacekeepers, the teachers, the healers. No brother will harm another human unless doing so saves more.

The Constitution of the Brotherhood

Creed of the Brotherhood

All members have certain responsibilities to their citizens, to fellow members, and to technology itself. Upon joining the Brotherhood, you are bound to this constitution, and to the creed.

In a perfect world, every single person would have/have had an education. And it is their right, as a human being, to receive this education; in order to further and better their lives. Every man woman and child has the right to an education, and each nation must provide one. It is a necessity, every nation should and will provide education for everyone, despite how rich or poor they are - regardless of race or religion. Anything less is a breach of civil rights. In order to join, a good education must be provided by your government.
Freedom of speech, like proper education, is a human right. And a basic one at that. No member will oppress the rights to free speech or freedom of expression. However, no nation will allow third party to influence the progress of technology. Technology to be researched shall not be compromised, even if people speak out against it. Contrary to the rule, the only exception for denying and disregarding freedom of speech is when the speech is against the furthering of education, and the research of technology. Freedom of speech is not to infringe on anyone else's rights, and so long as it does not, the right to freedom of speech is one to be respected.
Each member must contribute to the bettering of it's own society and others. Each member will be required to give a monetary donation to improving the lives of everyone. Each nation within the Brotherhood is to be treated like a brother, and all shall be supported whenever and whenever. And so, as a result of this, when a nation is in need (be it economically or any other event during which assistance is required), there shall be donations to said nation. There are shall be no exceptions - the Brotherhood is one, and the failure of one Brother will bring the failure of all. Additionally, donations shall be made in order to fund the furthering of technology, and the improvement of human rights in nations inside and outside the Brotherhood.
A science program must be established in each constituent nation. This is not optional, this is compulsory. Each member must have a national science program, in order to further the progress of humanity. Without it, you are slowing the evolution of technology, and of man. Any who slow the natural evolution of humanity are enemies of the Brotherhood.
All members must share it's technological advances with other member nations. Only through the exchange of ideas can we progress. Without the free exchange of ideas, the Brotherhood is nothing. Without trust, the Brotherhood will fail. It is through trust that we may prosper and thrive; as well as advance significantly. Every single piece of information is extremely valuable to us - the singularity will only be reached if we collaborate, working towards a single goal - our goal - humanities goal.
In this ever changing world, natural resources are becoming more and more sparse. The more we use of our natural (non-renewable) resources, the less there is in the world. Each member has the responsibility to preserve it's countries natural resources. Expending all of your minerals and resources is unacceptable. This kind of destruction of habitat, and lack of respect for nature, will halt our progress, and doom mankind before we can save it. The key to our survival, and prosperity, is the protection, preservation and conservation of our environment. As we flourish, so should our world.
No form of technology will be oppressed, regardless of any belief system that believes it to be immoral. Research is a key priority of the Brotherhood; it is what we strive for - to deny the right to research it is, in effect, a breach of human rights. Through technology we can save lives, prevent war, and increase the quality of living for everyone. To halt progression is to damn yourself.
Each member nation has the right to protect it's citizens, regardless of the damage it may cause to another nation. Humanity is our priority, above all else, and they shall be treated accordingly. People shall be respected, as shall their rights and beliefs. The only occasion when beliefs are disregarded is when a dispute involving their beliefs contradicts and slows the furthering of education, and consequently research.

Membership and application process

The application process to The Brotherhood is a long process. It starts with an application in our application thread. After filling out the application and questionnare, members and council members will have their chance to lodge objections. Should an objection be lodged, the application will go to a private council ballot. Otherwise, only the Leader and Second in Command (SIC) can approve and accept members. In order to be accepted, certain quotas must be met in regards to civil rights and economic strength. In addition, at least 5% of your national funding must go to education in order to be accepted. Three RP examples must be submitted, and no wars may be currently in progress (except in certain circumstances). Political stability, and scientific projects and achievements will also be taken into consideration during the application process.

There are currently five types of membership. Only the Leader and SIC can accept and promote members - though, in their absence, an acting Leader may accept and promote members until they return. Such a Leader must be appointed by the SIC before he leaves. In the event that no Leader is chosen while both the Leader and SIC are absent, the Council will vote to elect a Council member as acting Leader. The types of member are as follows;

Provisional Member

Should a nation not meet the quota for civil rights, or economic strength, but pledge to change, and is deemed to be a deserving nation, said nation will be placed on the Provisional Members list. Provisional members will then be given time to meet the quotas they were missing. At the end of each month, the Provisional Member list will be cleared out. Provisional members that are cleared out of the list are free to reapply at the start of the next month. Provisional members will not be in any way protected by the Brotherhood, nor will they be allowed to lodge objections. No funds will be given to the members, should they request them, and no money will be accepted.

Observer/Ambassador

Should a nation wish to act as an Ambassador or Observer from another major organization, they will not have to meet the quotas. However, the Brotherhood will be in no way affiliated with nations that have a poor civil rights, practice slaving, or have a history of genocide. The Observer will have no rights in the organization, besides a discount on alliance products, and the right to freely post both officially and unofficially on alliance threads. Observers can comment on inductions and expulsions, however, only under extreme circumstances will such an opinion be considered by the Council.

Brother

Any applicant who meets the criteria, or any provisional member who has reached the quotas, will be accepted as a Brother. Brothers will be full members of the Brotherhood, and as such, will be allowed to donate to the alliance coffers, apply for funding, object to applications, and submit drafts to change legislation to the Council. They may also be elected to the Council by the Leader or SIC.

Councillor

Any Brother deemed worthy may be elected to the Council by the Leader or SIC. Any member may object to electing, however the Leader or SIC will have the last say in the electing of members. Brothers may suggest a Councillor, however, such suggestions must not be taken lightly. Brothers may not suggest themselves. Councillors rights and responsibilities are long, and too drawn out to list. A Councillors brief is up to them to fulfill, and any Councillor is expected to pull his or her weight, or be ejected from the Council.

Leader or Second in Command(or acting Leader)

The Leader and the Second in Command have the final say in everything to due with the organization. They are also on the Council, and have a vote in all Council matters. The greatest responsibility of the Leader or SIC is to accept members into the Brotherhood.[/align]

We are the Brotherhood Legionnaires. We strive to aid and protect those in need - and keep peace in nations on the brink or even aftermath of war. We are soldiers - we are Brothers. We are not a charity - we are a force to be reckoned with. We are not with for Government or Board - we are for the People.

It is not our aim to act with aggression - but with kindness and compassion. We will pick you up and bring you back out of the mud, until our own bodies ache to the bone; and even then we will not stop. We are an Immortal Force. Brothers-in-Arms, an unstoppable force of Justice.

Money may buy us the equipment we need - but it has no value on our loyalty. We see printed paper and golden-painted copper coins as corruption - a bringer of greed. Force is our final option, but we will not hesitate. We shall not falter, we shall not tire, and we shall not fail.

Recruitment

Given the elite nature of the Brotherhood Legionnares, all soldiers must be retrained. There are no exceptions. Upon joining the Brotherhood, you sign up to donating 10,000 troops to the Brotherhood. Such soldiers will be sent to train for a total of two years, before being put in reserve. Any Legionnare who makes the cut will be paid double the normal rate of a soldier in the military he came from during active duty, and the normal military rates for his peace time service. The Legionnare will be returned to his/her home nation after training, before sent home to his/her family. The total term of service for any Legionnare is 10 years. Such a contribution is not voluntary. The donation is taken at time of joining, and will not need to be increased/decreased along with the increase/decrease of the military power. It is the responsibility of the Minister of Defense to tally the total forces.

National Development Program

The goal of the Brotherhood is to achieve the highest degree of human potential through technological achievement and advancement. The Brotherhood recognizes that smaller nations and even some larger nations can't, or don't devout large sums of money into scientific, infrastructural, and energy projects to better their people, their nation, and the entire world.

One of the core tenets of the Brotherhood is human advancement through technology, and to reach our goal, we deem it necessary to invest and assist nations that wish to take on this honor that comes with technological prowess. There are several fields into which we can assist you:

• National Energy Development: In less advanced nations, oil and other fossil fuels are found powering not only vehicles, but the workforce, and energy grid. The Brotherhood wishes to see this changed. Through clean energy, nations can become self-dependent, leaving their natural environment untouched. By allowing the Brotherhood to invest in your nation, we can establish at your discretion, nuclear plants, wind and solar farms, hydro-electric facilities, liquid hydrogen fuel cells and improved electrical grids to distribute this newfound power.

• National Infrastructure Development: We also offer opportunities for your nation to allow us to revamp your infrastructure, through a combination of effective and efficient public transport, high speed rail, improved and streamlined airports, durable, low maintenance highways and viable commercial ports. Streamlined transportation allows international and national trade to occur much faster and perhaps occur more. This can only lead to wealth for your nation. Accessibility also lets your people feel a national unity, as they are just a plane, train, or boat ride away from their neighboring province, state, or territory. In the event of rebellion or invasion, infrastructure allows you to moves forces to the problem, and deal with it effectively, while maintaining easy lines of supply.

Education, Healthcare and Agricultural Development: Nations that cannot educate, care for, or even feed their people, are our number one priority. Teaching your people advanced farming techniques, irrigation, and medicine will help people drag themselves out of poverty. Teaching your people how to use what they have on hand to build houses, hospitals, schools, and even factories, to process and manufacture their own good, is a sure way out of poverty. Finally, keeping to our core belief that technology will save mankind, we will establish science courses, encouraging innovation, and helping establish scientific minds to develop your nation of their own. We help nations to help themselves.

I've answered. If you'd read my posts you'd know that when he said 'missionary' he meant the sex position. He was suggesting you should ready your derrière for a pounding. (I know what the position actually is, but Kyle doesn't have a vagina and so the missionary position could not be achieved).
