That's quite effective: flash command units. But surely integrating them into your regulars would work better. At least divide them amongst the services, so you have everything from infantry command units to combat air controllers.

The LADST are a small branch of the military consisting of about 5,000 men. LADST is short for low altitude drop shock troopers. THis is made possible by the advanced suits the troopers wear allowing them to withstand the force of impacting the ground and flaps that open to slow their decent. The Shadow Marshalls are a miniscule branch consisting of only 100 select men that were trained from birth. They serve the purpose of advanced special forces and elite commanders. The U.S.C. currently has 60 million men in total. 20 million serve in the Army (5 million are active around the world/15 million in reserve), 20 million Navy (5 million active/15 million in reserve) and 13 million Air Force pilots ( 4 million active/9 mllion in reserve). The remaining 7,995,900 are police officers and soldiers in training. Another 400,000 men could be called to arms at any time by the Supreme Leader.

OOC: Not in every way. It's very expensive, maintaining a space station. Add the cost of keeping troops up there and...

Sounds a bit EndWar to me. Just create a corps of paras that specialise in HALO entries. Quick, stealthy airborne; anywhere, anytime.

It's easy to have those... but if they're special forces, rename them similarly.

OOC: A scutum is a rectangular (after the Republican era) Roman shield. If people misread that, or think it's funny, they don't deserve protection.

OOC: CHarzak, by Airborne, I mean Hight Altitude Low Opening. With parachutes. The problem with flaps is getting rid of the suit afterwards, which might be problem. It'd be far easier to just use a parachute.
