In light of the recent failure of the 'Wind of Change' foreign policy, which saw naught but more war brought to our shores by marauding foreign powers, the government of Reformed Britannia notes that the only way to preserve Britannia's place in the world is 'peace through strength'.

However, with our largest and most prestigious colonies having been granted independence in pursuit of peace, Britannia finds itself an a most undesirable situation world influence-wise, and as such, the Imperial Federation is attempting to branch out-in an attempt to re-solidify Britannia's place in the world.

In other words, any nation wishing to be a part of the Imperial Federation or be connected to it as an observer state may apply for it now. There are three degrees of membership within the Imperial Federation; Dominions, Partners, and Observer States.

What are the obligations/benefits of each degree of membership?

Observer State
-Allowed to send observers to the Imperial Parliament
-25% reduction in tariffs on all imports to Britannia, 25% tariff reduction on Britannian goods

-All trade tariffs lifted
-May send observers to the Imperial Parliament
-May request a Mutual Defence Pact with Britannia
-May lease Britannian colonial land for overseas bases and such
-May send officers to the Britannian armed forces in order to gain command experience as observers
Dominion
-All trade tariffs lifted
-Allowed to have a set number of representatives within the Imperial Parliament, giving them a say in the running of the Empire as a whole
-Automatic MDP with Britannia
-May request a Britannian garrison on their soil
-May utilise the Britannian Pound as their official currency, valued at roughly 1.93 NSD
-Can benefit directly from the strength of Britannian industry, and can request that businesses expand into their nation in order to foster growth
-may lease colonial land for their purposes
-Can benefit from the same equipment the Britannian armed forces use
-Must acknowledge the Britannian monarch, King Robert II, as the nominal head of state
