Mariupol, Novograd

The Battle of Mariupol, Novograd is going to be one of the bloodiest battles in the conflict because due to its strategic point of invading the junta controlled. Novograd, ERAF have currnetly been engaing anti ground missions and air dominances over the entire airspace. QA-10 Drones have constantly hammered their military installations and anti air positions with constant cannon barrage and AGM missiles, followed by rocket fires. Most of the CAS drones have resorted to attacked ground forces while the multirole fightes, both drones and manned aircrafts, have currently engaged enemy aircrafts that are target them, including Rikanian aircrafts.

"Talon One-One, break formation, pursue and destroy!" The F/A-37 Talon's forward swept wing designs gives the aircrafts fast and superior maneuverability and stealth technology has been up to date to give the aircraft far more agility to engage close dogfights. They roved, swivel, and barrel roll while deploying lares to delay enemy missiles from the air and the ground. 5 squadrons of Talons have engaged the Rikanians because they attacked them first, so in retaliation, they've been given orders to shoot down any aircrafts that are the enemy of the democratic. F/A37s are pursuing mostly enemy aircrafts affiliated with the Junta military and supporters.

"Tiger One here, engaging targets." A Talon is pursuing a Rikianian F-16 in response to their attacks. "FOX-THREE!!" the pilot pulls a trigger and two AMRAAMs came out form its internal bay to streak towards the target. Some of the F-35s were equipped with air-to-air missiles in case of thei have to dogfight. The recent updates on the F-35s will have to wait for their reinforcements to arrive. They engage in two atrikes; one goes for their land forces while the other joins the Talons to pursue and destroy their enemy aircrafts.

"FOX THREE! FOX THREE!!" A F-35 Lightning II opens its internal bay and fires two AMRAAMs at two F-16Cs, while two more pursue the F-16Cs and engages them while being aided by the F/A-37s.

Task Force 108
Meanwhile, another task force was in the mission by the coast, this time, its a massive campaign to destroy their defenses for the Navy and the landing troops to engage the naval forces that are in the red zone. 7 squadrons of F/A-60 Rogues, 8 Squadrons of Q/F-60G Ronin drones, and 4 squadrons of Rafales have made their way to view the city that is in flames. The multirole fighters have orders to lay waste to the junta/supporter defenses in Maruipol. The foreign naval forces supporting the juntas are the number one issue to engage the juntas.

The Rogues and the Ronin drones forms four double triangle formations. The Rogues keeps the front while the drones takes behind. In this formation, the drone's internal bay doors opens and a Perseus cruise missile drops down from the bay before igniting their fuels to pursue their targets, specifically the ships stationed at Mauipol. The stealth Perseues cruise missiles streaks into the air before they come within range of their targets. 24 Rafales are targeting their main battle groups, specifically, the carrier, with Storm Shadow missiles in hopes of dealing a devastating blow to their naval vessels. The escort ships would be a problem, as the Ronins comes down from the sky and fires their LRASM missiles at the ships. Despite being designed as the drone, they take immediate evasion action to avoid getting hit by the anti air defense weaponry and their Anti air missiles, deploying chaffs to confuse their missiles. Rogues joins in the fight by lauching their own LRASMs in retaliation to protect the drones.

Because of the terrain between the Black Sea would be narrow, some of the other Carrier Task Force would have to wait for their turn to cross the small narrow canal that connects the Black Sea. Carrier Task Force C, consisting of 4 supercarriers, one assault ship, three destroyers, 6 cruisers, and 8 nuclear submarines, are the only carrier group that will be arriving at Mauipol.

Admiral Itsuka was by the bridge of EMS New Hemisphere to command the carrier group to fight in the Novograd conflict. Emmerian carries remains at the center while the destroyers and cruisers takes the front of their formation and submarines takes the rear for their ordinances. Itsuka was watching the land becoming a view when he would expect a defense that are against naval assaults.

"Alright, let's get this done." he stated. "Scramble the Aircrafts! O want every available planes in the air, NOW!" he said. That was his order to launch whatever aircrafts the carrier group has that are available for flight. F-35s are the first to take the lead while the X-47b drones are arming for anti ship mission. The jets screeched the flight deck as 4 supercarriers launched their air powers up to 100 aircrafts while having some in case of close combat. "Have the 'Masons' launch a pre-emptive strike!" As ordered, All of the MAson class guides submarines, the ENS Agrierin, the ENS Laverock, ENS Statice, and the ENS Acteon, Mason class submarines, resurfaces from behind the supercarriers to launch a volley of Harpoon Anti-ship missiles to strike against the enemy naval forces in Mauipol.

Five minutes have passed since the encounter, and they already lost one bird.

Flight Lieutenant R. Kuzaki fiercely fought the enemy aircraft, which turned out to be F-35s and F/A-37s from the Emmerian Republic. When the lieutenant saw the hostile jets with his own piercing brown eyes, his face quickly turned pale. These jets were, by far, more superior and technologically advanced than his own. And after doing some counting, he found out that the Emmerian planes outnumber his by a landslide. But even with the odds against him and his squadron, they refused to retreat and would not go down without a fight. The air defence units down below could only do so much against these advanced enemy fighters. It was almost completely up to the courageous pilots of the State Air Forces to intercept and destroy the enemy force.

"Garuda three-four and three-five, you're with me!" He shouted into the radio. Two F-16Cs immediately appeared by his side, the Rikanan SAF roundel painted on the jets reflecting the dim moonlight. "Let's show them what we've got, boys."

The three jets do a short loop, and lock on to two F-35s ahead of them. Kuzaki fired an AIM-120, and so did his two wingmen. But before they could even figure out if the missiles hit their targets or missed, they were forced to maneuver out of the way of several incoming AMRAAMs. One of the wingmen deployed countermeasures and managed to block the missiles. The other, unfortunately, had his right wing hit by a missile. Two down in less than ten minutes. Damn, thought the Lieutenant. How many did we shoot down?

The remaining F-16s did the best they could against the superior enemy jets, downing as much as a small number of them. Three of them managed to close in on a Talon and fired their short range AIM-9s, then maneuvering behind a couple of Talons and fired three more towards the dreaded stealth fighters. It wasn't long before two of them were struck by enemy missiles, however. Lieutenant Kuzaki called for more backup, from the SAF's three other squadrons stationed near Mariupol, and of course, the Junta air force. He and his men only need to hold off for a few minutes or a little more before reinforcements arrive.

A task easier said than done.

The entire SAF Supreme Command was startled by the news that Christoslavia has backed out of the conflict. Without their support and with no further updates from the Newne Carriebean forces, Rikana may be the only nation actively aiding and supporting the Junta in this conflict...

"I apologize for... underestimating the enemy force, Your Excellency. But I have thought of a plan that could hopefully turn the tides of this conflict."

Grand Admiral Wujing Hamilt stood facing Supreme President Rizmanni as the two men monitored the situation in Novograd through a flatscreen on the wall. A map of the country shows current troop count and their positions, while a news broadcast about the Novogradi civil war was playing in the background. Supreme Command has just been notified of the current situation of Rikanan forces stationed in the ravaged country, and the reports coming in didn't sound pleasing.

"We all make mistakes sometimes, Admiral," said the Supreme President. "But I was not expecting a failure of Operation Iron Hammer... even in a certain way. Our men's lives are at stake here, Hamilt."

The Admiral nodded, staring at Rizmanni who was watching the broadcast shown on the screen intently. "I think it is time we deploy more troops into the conflict, Your Excellency," Hamilt bluntly stated, "Carrier Group Suwardi stationed in northern Turkey could reach Novograd in a short time. We also have a couple of armoured cavalry and mechanized infantry brigades that we could send into the battlefield," he continued. "And, with your permission, Sir, we could wipe the pro-government rebel forces in Novograd and their foreign supporters off of the country in no time."

Rizmanni muttered something under his breath. Then he sat down on his seat. "I have granted you access to our available resources, Admiral. Use them as wise as you could to win both the war and a potential ally to the State. This is the first major conflict Rikana fought in the twenty-first century, and I'd hate to see us lose it." He stared at the Grand Admiral with his piercing gray eyes. Hamilt nodded and saluted in response.

"Affirmative, Your Excellency."

The Colonel’s helicopter made its embark back to the ship for fueling, seconds after the repelling of the man with the Lotus Group deep into the city of Mariupol, under intense Emmerian aircraft fire, holding the line against Rikania and allowing the landings to occur unhindered.

The Colonel and 50-man Lotus Group A landed in and around the Mariupol City Theater, a major landmark of the city, taking heavy fire while clearing the area. The only way to go was out. Elsewhere, artillery from ships and bombs decimated the little remaining defenses. The massive non-nuclear ICBM had destroyed the entire port and all of her ships, leaving the area a black sea. Siberian Sukhoi PAK FAs launched assaults on ground troops.

The main force, the 35,000 Army, started running through buildings, pushing for the dividing Kalmius River, as there the battle would be won and the Junta on the run. Eventually, with extreme support, they made it, taking some casualties but for the most part securing the city unscathed.

A combined assault victory had been won for Mariupol. The tables had turned.

The idea of jumping out of a perfectly good air plane without a parachute was unnerving to Sargent Rederic. Still they managed to get into Mariupol airspace undetected, then com system in his suit came alive.
"Okay boys and girls, we have arrived at the dropzone, prepare for pin-drop insertion" the voice over the com instructed. The Sargent cleared his throat and the rear cargo door of the Airbus C-17 rumbled, and the deafening sound of the wind entered the cabin. The Sargent stepped up to the edge of the cargo ramp with his comrades, the moment of truth. The Sargent jumped, thank god the suit could be pressurised. He couldn't make out any of his comrades descending toward the earth, but knew they were there. The Altimeter on the suits HUD flicked through countless numbers. 3000 feet 2500 feet, 2000 feet, 1500 feet, 1000 feet. The Sargent assumed the T shaped 'Pin-Drop' position and the suits thrusts fired. The numbers on the Altimeter slowed, finally the decent toward the ground slowed to a crawl, 8 feet above the ground. The thrusters cut out and the Sargent landed on his feet with a clunk.
'Another successful pin-drop insertion' the Sargent thought, pulling the two AKM segments off the suits waist-plate and clicking them together, then headed to the rendezvou point.

The enemy was fiercer than expected, being skilled in their piloting of their Su-27s, shooting down 2 Aquila fighters. The Rikanian aircraft had also added to the challenge, and the Avetinians' squadron was instantly dwarfed in size in comparison to two great groups of aircraft of pro-Democracy and pro-Military forces that had clashed over Novogradi skies. The Avetinians' formation was forcibly broken up, and they had trouble communicating with each other amongst the fire. They could only attempt to coordinate with the Emmerians. The Falcon II aircraft had joined the ranks of Emmerian fighters, doing all they could to help shoot down their Rikanian foes. They would attempt to help attack the Rikanians from the rear when they were busy engaging the Emmerians, or attracting fire from the Rikanians, giving the Emmerians opportunities. There were only two of them, and they were doing the best they could.

The surviving Aquila II fighters used the battle as a cover, as opposing aircraft were engaged in combat with their allies they would use this opportunity to attack enemy anti-aircraft installations such as missiles and guns. Numerous air-to-surface missiles were fired, impacting the ground with a huge explosion and a great fireball.

At Air Force headquarters however, the general that ordered the sending of the squadron was being scrutinized for failing to anticipate such a situation. Commanders and officers were rather worried as the state of the pilots became dire. The Avetinians would have to reinforce their forces if they wanted to survive and play effective roles in future engagements, apparently.

One of the Aquila II fighters' pilot and weapons officer paradropped to safety near Mariupol as their fighter fell to the ground in a fiery explosion, scattering metal and millions of dollars worth of equipment, while the crew of the other fighter's status remains unknown. The two took shelter in the rubble and would try to find presence of allied forces while avoiding government troops.

Sargent Rederic had regrouped with some of his fellow Armoured Urban Infantry Troopers, and was now under the command of Major Knight.
The group of about 12 troopers had taken to the sewers.
"We have fallen short of the dropzone. In fact we are closer to the city outskirts than the dropzone." the major stated, somewhat annoyed.
"Orders are radio silence, and that includes the GPS uplink, so I cannot determine our exact location." she continued.
"We are going to continue east through the sewer tunnels east, to the rendezvou point. I saw an allied aircraft crash near by. With any luck we'll be able to make contact with the pilot if he survived. He'll hopefully have a better handle on the geography. Alright, Move out" she ordered.
The group of twelve continued through the sewer tunnels, heading east. Sections of cladding had fallen from the walls into the filthy water, and on the walkway, but the terrain above them would be much more treacherous. The group continued trudging through the damp tunnel for almost an hour, glad that the K-04 E helmets had air filtration systems built in. Finally they came across the inevitable, a cave in. Thankfully it was so severe that the surface was visible. It appeared that they were below a ruined warehouse.
"Well, we weren't given these jet-packs to cook rations with. You know the drill." the major instructed, then took a running jump, and fired the jet-packs thrusters, landing on the warehouse ground floor with a quiet clunk. The rest of the squad followed her example ascending to the ground floor of the warehouse.
"Stay sharp, I think I heard something" one of the troopers commented as they made their way through the warehouse. An individual appeared from a non-descript corridor, and was greeted with 12 AKM gun barrels.
"Hold your fire, I think this is the Avetinia pilot"

Serious. PMT is Post-Modern Technology which is between modern technology and future technology ten to fifteen years later. So, stealth technology, Fifth Generation Stealth Fighters, drone fighters, UCAVs, stealth ships, supercarriers, forward swept wings configuration, UCGVs, or anything ten to fifteen years later on are all considered Post Modern just because I'm using forward swept wings doesn't mean it can still be PMT because that is going to be introduced later on. Drones and also PMTs, which I'm using, but space weaponry is not yet introduced, so that counts.

OOC: Oh, sorry, my bad. Past Modern Technology, not post, medium-latish tech (1950s - 1980s), I should've of stated that, sorry.

The Colonel's helicopter made a steep turn and he looked out the window. Small Rikanian defences would stand no chance against the combined assault taking place currently. But, they had to be prepared for an onslaught either way. The massive SSF fleet surrounding the coty had just begun their naval bombardment and cannon firing of the city and the ships. Apparently the ABMs of the Junta had taken down the missiles. Well, the ABMs wouldn't be prepared for this.

Out of the SSFN submarine Sukhbaatar III came a payload of 35 smaller cruise missiles, all aimed at Rikanian ships. The damage would be extreme, and if the ship's guns fired at the same time, Rikanian ships would have to chose between one or the other to shoot down. A genius plan. So at the strike of 10:30:30, the guns were fired and an earpopping explosion detonated seven seconds later. Destroyers were engulfed in a fireball and cloud of smoke, a pleasing sight to the Colonel.

But there was still work to be done. Rikanian submarines could potentially damage his landing craft, but he had a solution. Both on-and-slightly-off bombs would land on the submarines in one direction, away from the harbor and into a trap set by us with our own submarines, where they will be destroyed by torpedoes.

President Donald Trump was at home, watching TV at Trump tower when reports of the outbreak of civil war started flooding in. From Fox news, the only credible news source in the Confederacy, Trump could see live coverage of the fighting and the impassioned appeal for democracy in Novograd. The Confederate States had always supported democracy, and Trump felt obligated to help in any way he could.

"I want to deploy three armies to Novograd to support the rebels, as soon as possible," President Trump ordered on the phone with the Pentagon.

"I'm sorry Mr. President-san," the Japanese general on the other end explained. "you don't have the authority to authorize such large military actions. You'll need to ask Congress for approval."

"Fuck," Trump swore. Here, innocent pro-democracy fighters were being slaughtered, and he was being slowed down by Congress. Still, he had to respect democratic convention, and thus made a mental determination to approach congress the next morning to demand they approve the deployment of troops to Novograd. He would wait for approval, but...

"There is the option to support the rebels by sending weapons," the general said after several moments of silence. "Shall I do that?"

"Yes!" Trump ordered. "Send 1 million M-16s. Democracy shall persist. Long live the Confederacy."

On April 12, 2016 a coup d'etat was launched by a faction of the Novograd Armed Forces in order to overthrow the elected government and replace it with a military junta. Novogradi president Ivan Tenyuksh was assasinated by the coupist soldiers a few days after the coup was launched. Death of Ivan Tenyuksh sparked a revolution. President's death severely demoralized pro-government military troops and most of them changed side or surrendered. Valeriy Poltorak, a general of the Novgogradi Armed Forces and claimed leader of the coup has stated that the coup was launched because of the government 'power grabbing', which many of the Novgogradi citizens disagreed.

On August 29, 2016 pro-Tenyuksh supporters launched an attack against the junta using molotovs, AK-47s and other captured weapons. 104 citizens were killed/wounded along with 4 military personnel and 7 police officers. After the incident many other Tenyuksh supporters started protesting against the junta.

On September 2, 2016 an attack against the junta was launched by democracy supporters in order to restore democracy back in the country, which eventually led to a civil war. The pro-democracy fighters managed to capture some of the Novogradi military equipment and recruit hundreds if not thousands of fighters via internet recruitment, messages and etc. in a matter of time.

Dude, 2016, that's was your first post. That was a clear setting in the 21st Century, so obviously, MT is this year and PMT is like ten to fifteen years from now which is also another way to RPing. And Rping is more than just dates, techs, numbers, and other things. So, that is another side of RPing. If you're going to be using conflcits, give then the year at a proper date. Your country can use Cold Era tech, if you want, while other nations have MT tech and Post Modern, that is entirely up to you.

Rikanians have clearly taken out two F-35s. A Talon was bypassing the aircrafts and that has infuriated the pilot. This wasn't the first time a casualty was instigated. The pilots are getting frustrated that the enemy aircraft is clearly not going to be giving up on their turf. To make sure that their losses are in effect, the Talons and the Lightnings are clearly engaging the Rikanians as well as any hostile aircrafts that are deemed supportive to the junta government. The F/A-37s are constantly pursuing their F-16Cs, regardless of how their enemy is too stubborn to give up Mariupol. "This is definitely not going to be easy on this shit." the pilots of the Talons being pursued by the F-16s have pulls their throttle sticks back and turned their aircrafts to 360°barrel roll, as the F-16Cs streaks pass them. The Talons push their sticks again and regain their pursue at the F-16Cs, firing three air-to-air missiles from each F/A-37 aircraft in retaliation.

"We've lost Tiger Delta and Golet One!" This was frustrationing for the Emmerians. Since they've recently made their appearances, the Rikanians are being aggressive, so tnow, they're going to be more aggressive. "Lightning One-One, this is Firefly Two-Zero, we'regoing to take these bastards to a the havens above!" The Talons ignites their engines to pursure their attackers. These F/A-37s are attacking them head on without mercy. "FOX TWO!!!" The Talons have fired their Sidewinders to attack the F-16Cs. Some of the F-35s are making their joint strike force with the QA-10 Drones to commence close air support against the enemy forces in Mariupol, both junta and supporters. The QA-10s launches a devastating barrage of cannon shells the rips the at the designated tanks and military installations while the F-35s launched their AGMs at the buildings housing the soldiers.

More F/A-37s are joining the dogfights in the skies of Mauripol. The blue skies are filled with constant barrage of aircrafts in air combat. The Rikanians are clearly going to die trying to protect a coastal city, so the F-35s have to clear of a lot of enemy aircrafts. The Talons swivel and turns sharply, pulling in the swept wing inwards before expanding outwards again to attack the Rikanians. The aircrafts fired their AMRAAMs and Sidewinders at the F-16Cs, adding some GAU-12 Equalizer cannon fires in case of close dogfights. In a position where they are being locked on, the F/A-37s performs Purgachev's Cobra, a air maneuver that pilots are instructed to learn for maneuverable fighters such as the F/A-37s, have made countless dodges and re-engages their targets firing more of their Sidewinders.

Avetinians have also been reported to join the fray. More Stealth aircraftsw have given nearly invisible radar cross for most of the Emmerians as they didn't stop pursuing the aircrafts. F/A-37s never stops in their pursuit because they combined Thrust vectoring and forward swept wing to give the air superiority to engage any aircrafts that are deemed hostile. Together with Avetinians, the Emmerians are showing more combative attacks at the enemies, especially Rikanians

The ground force is going to be a hard attack. QA-10 drones made countless barrage of rocket fires and more of their attacks against the Rikanians and junta forces. The Avenger cannons rips the earth to shreds for their close air support. Q/FA-60s continues to dodge their anti air cannons and their anti air missiles, throwing countermeasures to deflect their anti air, as More Ronin drones launched their AGMs to attack their targets. No matter no formidable the enemy is on the ground, the entire drone fleet is making use of their ammunition another another wave of 30 QA-10 Drones and 40 Q/F-60G drones to attack the ground forces. Most of their cannons have splattered their tanks that are being stationed at the city. Still unclear for landing, 80 Q/F-60Gs are making their attacks against the Rikanians, both ground and naval. They've fired their cruise missiles to strike the naval vessels as they break to avoid their anti air defenses.

As the drones have made countless air supports and CAS at their ground forces, the City was showing more smoke than every in their battle to regain their city. Rebels have closely been engaged by the junta government forces. Allies have began their landings while a lot of their forces have made countless attacks to cripple their defenses. SSF Naval vessels are just off the coast of Mariupol, launching a all out naval assault with Carrier Task Force C.

"Sir!" The assistant said, sounding out of breath. "Yes?" Replied Slovak. "We have found an opportunity to help spread Usea's influence. Through our adopted,'Barian,' system." "Go ahead." "The nation of Novograd is currently in a civil war. With a military coup attempting to overthrow the authoritarian government of Novograd. Currently, the loyalists are backed into a corner. Since they have little to no foreign support. Usea's entrance could be a game changer, and we can easily send the rebels on the run with our near-unrestricted warfare. Since we obviously don't follow any sort of convention for war. Or any international law for that matter. Plus, if we change the tide of this, the loyalists would owe us big time." Explained the assistant. "However we will be facing other sovereign nations if we side with the loyalists. But I have full confidence in our capabilities." Slovak rubbed his chin, then set his hand down on his desk. "Prepare to send the loyalists a meesage. We're gonna shake things up a bit over there."

A message by DPS was prepared, both a typed and video recorded message. It was sent to the Novogradian loyalist high command. The message goes as follows: "Dear Novogradian loyalists. This is President of The Continent of Usea Dimitri Slovak, and on behalf of Usea I extend my greetings. While we may not be so acquainted with your civil war, we see that you are in a cornered position. While we may oppose governments like yours in normal circumstances these aren't normal circumstances. You see, your country has a value to us, and if you accept our pledge of support and we help you turn this war around, you owe us that value. No, it is not our desire to rule your country, we have a desire to control or help regulate certain parts of your country, you have the say in those regulations though of course. We will also compensate for you allowing us to regulate that part of the country. Only if you accept our assistance and we help win this for you. Trust me my friends, you have an entire continent offering you a hand, please make the wise decision. Thank you."

"Sir, if we are to win this, it would require the total destruction or near-destruction of the rebel forces, and require the rebuilding of the Novogradian loyalist military." Explained the assistant. "We can do that. Go ahead and send a fleet their way, which fleet is the closest?" Asked Slovak. "The Barian fleet near Baria." Said the assistant. "Go ahead and send them." "Right away." The assistant then stormed out to transmit Slovak's orders.

But of course, they were running on disinformation. Everything they had on the civil war was backwards, the message they sent was pointless because it was to a democracy, and they're about to send in a fleet that is going in blind. But they didn't know that.

BARIA, SOUTH OF USEA
Admiral Lin of the 6th ISAF invasion fleet station in the country of Baria, just recieved a set of orders telling him to sail his fleet towards Novogradia, and to be prepared to assist loyalist forces that are fighting military rebels in a coup. "Sending our boys to fight in someone elses war eh?" Said Lin. "Orders are orders sir. I'm sure we'll get more details." Said the skipper. "Probably Slovak trying to expand our influence. I don't blame him, we have a small influence in the world, and Usea needs to look powerful. We have one of the most prepared militaries in the world, why not use it? Anyway, tell the fleet to load up, and set sail. We're going to war." The 6th fleet was notified to load up all of its ships and crew, and to form up in the Barian sea. Within two hours, the fleet was formed, and it was steaming towards Novogradia. The fleet consisted of one Usean class carrier 2 sinclair battleships, two spear battlecruisers, four landing carriers, and four mobius class cruisers.

"Battle for Mariupol"

The Rikanan F-16s were being slaughtered by the Emmerian and Avetinian fighters as the inferior jets struggle to fend off the hostile aircraft. Only eleven out of the original twenty-one remained, and they were determined to stop the enemy from achieving domination over the airspace, they fought fiercely with their limited weaponry and munitions. A few of them ran out of AIM-9 and AIM-120 missiles and chose to utilize their secondary weapon, their 20mm rotary cannons. The pilots had to fly closely behind the enemy jets to even have a chance to hit them.

A few minutes later, a swarm of jets silhouetted in the horizon was visibly flying towards the airspace. They were F-16Cs of the RSAF 17th and 18th Fighter Squadrons and MiG-29Ks of the 150th Naval Fighter Squadron from the RSNF. As soon as they were in proximity of the battle, the F-16s and MiGs locked on to the Emmerian and Avetinian jets, and fired their missiles almost simultaneously. The fighters broke off from their formation and begun to engage the enemy aircraft.

Thousands of feet down below, the ground forces stationed in the city were actively engaging the enemy troops. It was not an easy task, with the seemingly countless number of drones relentlessly attacking their positions, managing to somehow escape the Rikanan air defenses. The Rikanan infantry were armed with MANPADs to defend themselves from incoming drones, but the sheer number of them eventually forced the entire ground force of over 20.000 in Mariupol to retreat from the shores towards northern parts of the city.

At the Sea of Azov, dozens of frigates, submarines, and destroyers of the State Naval Forces were engaging the Emmerians and Siberians. The enemy possessed fleets larger than what the State Naval Forces had stationed in the ports of Mariupol, and with the addition of unmanned fighters from the Emmerian navy, the Rikanan fleet was having a hard time. Their determination and the reinforcements that arrived just in the nick of time was what kept them alive to this point.

The Merah and Biru Carrier Groups sent to Novograd from northern Turkey arrived at the Sea of Azov, effectively pitting the enemy fleet between them and the 7th and 9th Battle Groups at Mariupol. These carrier groups had two wings of MiG-29Ks and Ka-28 ASW helicopters, all of them scrambled into the air as the carrier groups approached Mariupol. Although the opposition was larger in number and had more advanced equipment, they were nearly surrounded by the Rikanan ships. This was the original scheme planned by Grand Admiral Hamilt.

The MiGs utilized their array of munitions to fight off the drones, while the Ka-28s concentrated on hunting enemy submarines, along with the SNF's own T-94 submarines. Some of the MiG-29s were also armed with anti-ship missiles, and they began to fire upon Emmerian vessels whenever they weren't fending off their drones. One of the Ka-28s were downed by an enemy UCAV, but was quickly avenged when a MiG downed the drone with an R-73 short-range missile. The pilots of SNF's aviation wings were as determined as their Air Force counterparts to bring down the enemy fleet, willing to fight to the very last man.

The battle for domination over the seas of Novograd had begun.

Fuel was running low for the Avetinian pilots, and they had also began to tire, while the appearance of new Rikanian aircraft had made them worry more. They could not last in this situation. The pilots whose aircraft have been shot down were instructed on radio to hold on while new forces would be sent, while the remaining aircraft pulled out, withdrawing from the battle. As the Aquila and Falcon fighters moved away, one Aquila was hit by a missile from a pursuing MiG-29. The other fighters hastily dispensed chaffs and fled.

In the Air Force headquarters, generals and commanders debated whether or not to send a larger unit, or to switch to alternative methods of aid.

With the arrival of enemy reinforcements, the pilots knew that there weren't sufficient numbers to counter them. One of the pilots decided to contact the Armed Forces High Command for reinforcements. Their request was accepted and several squadrons of Su-35s, Su-30s and Mig-23s were dispatched to Mariupol's airspace to attack the Rikanian fighters.

Meanwhile, elements of the 3rd and 7th fleet were sent to the seas of Novograd to help Emmerian and SSF ships in battling the enemy fleet. It was composed of several frigates, cruise missile and attack submarines, guided missile destroyers, 2 carriers and a battlecruiser. Both of the carriers had 2 wings of Su-33s.

Near the city of Mariupol, transport planes dropped paratroopers, 2S25 Sprut-SDs and BMD-3s. Some of the planes had been damaged and 2 paratroopers were killed by enemy anti-air defenses and fighters. After the forces have landed, they begin their assault on Mariupol to push the junta and their allies back.

On the Morning of December 8 the HMS St.John was attacked by Junta forces

The HMS St. John was midly damaged and 5 sailors were injured while 10 junta soldiers were captured. As a result of this attack, we will be sending the aircrft carrier HMS Flood and the two frigates the HMS Aphrodite and the HMS Rochester. Missles were also fired on Junta forces from the HMS St. John as a result form this morning attack.

Along with the navel forces, Royal Paratroppers will be land in the city of Donetsk, along with soldiers, tanks and supplies will be dropped. The plan is to to take strategic buildings and psts in the city, along with taking the city in a month or shorter.

With causlties rising, the Royal Empire of Hooterville and Acres will be sending releif aid to both sides of the conflict.
