Roman Catholic Church [New/AllTech/Restored]

Postby Pekweng » Thu Nov 03, 2016 6:44 pm

1.) The Roman Catholic Church does not claim to be the real-life Roman Catholic Church. The Roman Catholic Church thread is a religious organization that functions as the RCC in the NS Universe. Please telegram any comments, questions, or concerns to this nation.
2.) This is a merger of these threads: 1, 2, and 3. Please redirect any queries or posts on there to this new thread. We kindly ask that you do not post any "I refuse to recognize your Church" letters, hate letters, declarations of war, or any sort of that stuff, etc.

Greetings brothers and sisters!

Throughout the annals of history, it has been our sacred duty and privilege to transmit the living message of Christ through the Apostolic Tradition. In his final days, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, entrusted the Twelve Apostles, with the task of giving an authentic interpretation of the messages of the Holy Mother Church. Since then, the apostles and their successors have preached and witnessed the message of the Lord. Assisted by the Holy Spirit, and guided by the Magesterium of the Church, our work never ceases; we have been given the mission of living more fully from the gift of divine revelation, now let us share it with others!

May the Lord continue to bless us now and forever,

Paul VII
His Holiness The Pope

Postby Pekweng » Thu Nov 03, 2016 6:45 pm

THE SECRETARIAT OF STATE

The Secretariat of State is the oldest dicastery in the Roman Curia, the government of the Roman Catholic Church. It is headed by the Cardinal Secretary of State, currently His Eminence Cardinal Geronimo Dandino, Bishop of Protempo.

THE CONGREGATIONS

Congregations are a type of dicastery (department with a jurisdiction) of the Roman Curia, which is the central administrative organism of the Catholic Church. Each Congregation is led by a prefect, who is a Cardinal. The Cardinal-Prefect is usually assited by a Secretary, who is usually an Archbishop. In turn, the Archbishop-Secretary is sometimes assisted by an Undersecretary, usually a Monsignor.

Applications

Postby Pekweng » Thu Nov 03, 2016 6:46 pm

APPLICATIONS

If you wish for your nation's Catholic populace to be integrated with the Holy See, please fill out the following form to the best of your abilities. After a thorough review of your missive, the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, will send your appropriate officials a response on the status of your Communion with the Holy Mother Church. To expedite the confirmation process, please address your applications to this forum. If possible, include a formal communiqué as well.

1.) Your nation does not have to have Catholicism as a majority or state religion in order to join. Your nation may join the Church even if it has one Roman Catholic citizen.
2.) For every 250 million citizens, each nation gets a Cardinal in the College of Cardinals. If your nation is under that population, you are still guaranteed one cardinal.
