Syria has once again fallen into chaos after a coup has destabilized the entire country. It teeters on a second civil war as extremist elements and a facist government threaten to take hold of the country.

Persian Troops Seize border Towns
In response to an invasion by Givati, Persian troops have seized several border towns. Further moves by the People's Army are expected as, 25,000 troops with support equipment have moved the frontier 15 km in Syria. The coup has been responded to angrily by the Persian government, who condemns any dictatorship. Persian troops engaged with jihadist guerrilla forces, winning with some casualties. The People's Air Service has begun to establish a no-fly zone. So far, it's only along the border with any hostile jet being shot down.

Zackaroth moves in with HDU troops and begins seizing border towns and villages on the Jordan/Syrian border

Zackaroth has responded to the invasion of Syria by launching its own assualt upon the border towns. After weeks of bombing and drone attacks, the 5000 strong force is marching into the country. Already, massive bombing runs have begun on the capital city of Damascus and Zackarothian forces have a straight road to follow from Jordan and are preparing to end the war quickly.

A major point of contention is the city of Daraa where Zackaroth troops are not only facing hostile forces but a hostile populace as well. This has been responded in a kind with a massive artillery and bombing campaign. Much of the city is being leveled and the death toll easily being predicted as in the low thousands.

Unionian troops seize border towns at the Zackaroth-Syrian border
A force of 12,000 soldiers, and an unspecified amount of aircrafts has mobilized from the Zackaroth-Syrian border, and has began capturing town along the borders along side the Zackoroth soldiers. The HDUHA knew that they wouldn't be able to just walk in and liberate the towns just like that, no, they knew there would be some resistance. Their main focus was Imtan. They first surround Imtan, and slowly make their advance, counter-snipers being on the look out, and mind sweepers making sure their vehicles advance safely. The HDUHA would also keep several UI-9 Air superiority fighters in the air, maintaining a No-fly zone. If the HDUHA forces are attacked, they would return fire, having soldiers breach and clear buildings, taking out snipers and potential anti-armor along the way, making it safer for vehicles to advance, and the soldiers encircling the city would tighten their encirclement around the city, slowly but as safely as they can advancing. The HDUHA in the case of an attack would avoid going out into the roads as much as possible, but instead trying to lure them out so they can gun them down as they hide in buildings and behind alleys and cover, using flanking to their advantage as well. IFV's main focus would be on long alley's and the roads infront of them, along with windows.

American & Unionian Mediterranean Fleet, not far from Syrian shores.
The HDUHA Naval forces and the American fleet would make it to the shores relatively unscathed, facing little if any resistance on their way to the shores. They quickly set up a blockade around whatever shores Syria has, and will for now, limit their direct intervention to supporting Givati on their fronts, both on the ground with 20,000 HDUHA troops, and 20,000 American troops. The UI-51V4 stealth air superiority fighters would make sure they had the upper hand in the air, setting up no-fly zones on their front, while the B-2 stealth bombers would be utilized in taking out enemy military bases, anti-air, and other potential threats.

Givati Strikes Syrian Air Bases

The Givati Air Force has strike Sayqal Military Airbase in the capital Damascus, this is in a attempt to keep the Syrian Air Forces MiG-29s and other aircraft from hitting allied aircraft and troops, it is unknown how many aircraft were hit in the attack, but it is hoped that enough aircraft were destroyed in the attack to allow the allied coalition to have reasonable control of the air.

Givatian forces have pushed up into Lebanon and are ready to make an offensive into Syria, Givatian infantry and tanks will push into Syria and attempt to take parts of the city of Homs which allows Givatian forces to have a staging ground before pushing in to bigger cities like Aleppo and the Capital. The offensive on Homs could take anywhere between a few days to a few months, it is hoped that the disorganized Syrian army will not provide heavy resistance, it is also hoped that the anti-regime rebels will help Givatian offensives.

Unionian-American Air & Ground support in Homs
12,000 Unionian and American soldiers will be actively assisting the Givati troops in the battle of Homs. The Unionian's new tank, the MAV-T1BT Tank and the American UI-21V3 Tank would maintain their supremacy in Armored warfare. This battle will also give the Unionians to test their newest MAV-2016T1A General Purpose Armored Fighting Vehicle, armed with 2 Guided Anti-Tank missiles, several .50 Coax Guns and a 14.7mm Anti-Air Gun, the vehicle is practically set to take on infantry, armor, and defend itself from air. Mine sweepers would take point, making sure the vehicles don't run into anything on their way. The Unionian UI-51V4 would make sure air supremacy is maintained throughout the battle, while the B-2 Bomber hits Syrian military targets, while Unionian E-35V2's help with close air support, hitting Syrian defenses and gunning down fortified positions, along with helping take out any armor they come across. Unionian G-23V1 SPG's would provide artillery support, as would the Americans' G-23V2. The Unionian Home Army, trained in Guerrilla Warfare and military tactics, would make combating terrorists a lot easier, already knowing a number of their tactics and their counters.

Persian Air Offensive Brings Hell upon Regime and Jihadist Fighters
Image
Several Persian F-14s have struck numerous targets of the Syrian regime and jihadist militias, following Persian troops crossing the border, taking several towns and winning many skirmishes. The People's Air Service now pounds the forces of the regime into submission.
People's Army begins attack on Deir ez-Zor
6,000 Persian troops have begun to shell Deir ez-Zor, a city held by the Fascist regime. Persian troops have begun to take the city very slowly, after shelling destroying many enemy defenses. These 6,000 troops have begun to take bridges, buildings, and police stations a ross the city, a strategic point in Syria. Zulfiquar III tanks have proved to be invaluable in taking the city.

With the war in Greece over, half of the French Mediterranean Fleet has arrived near Lebanon for combat duties. Lebanon is an ally of the restored Regime, and so must also be defeated. French paratroopers are being deployed to capture Beirut, supported by intense Rafale airstrikes, to try and force a government change. The Rafale pilots first focus on neutralizing SAM positions in Lebanon, using the same tactics successfully employed during the invasion of Greece, while the paratroopers storm government and military buildings. Luckily, most of the Lebanese military is busy engaged against Givati forces, having been totally unprepared for the preemptive strike launched by it's southern neighbor. The Lebanese forces are spread thin across the country, which has allowed Givati to make such large gains, and if the capital can be conquered their command structure will be crippled. However, the Arab Alliance has been strengthened by the addition of a new member: Palestine has declared war upon Givati, and it's supporters have begun to rise up against the Israelis. The Palestinians view this war as their only chance to seek revenge upon Givati for years of occupation, and so will try to gain a strong strategic position before suing for peace. In Syria, the restored regime has condemned the invading coalition, and has offered a possible armistice with their enemies. The Regime has made the following offer known to all nations:

- The new government will conduct it's own affairs without interference from the Western Powers, and may continue to rearm and develop it's weapon projects in secret.
- The Western Powers will halt all hostilities against the restored regime.
- All foreign corporations in the country are to be nationalized.
- The West can assist the Regime in it's efforts to stamp out anti-government forces (some of which may be enemies of both alliances).

France has rejected this offer, calling it a shame proposal that would support the recognition of fascism second only to the Munich Agreement. Already, French reinforcements are being diverted to Givati to aid in this new war. Meanwhile, regime forces have secretly begun to distribute biological agents into the water supply of regions threatened with capture.

Following the declaration of war from Palestine, Reserves from the army have been called up. These troops will be pushing into the Palestinian territories and will ensure attacks in the area are met strongly and are quashed. GAF Fighters have began bombing targets in the West Bank and the Golan Heights. The main push against Palestine will start off in the West Bank and will push up forward further into Palestine. Once the Palestinians have been dealt with Givatian troops will push north and head into Syria, by then the Givatian troops should have captured Homs which allows a two front attack on the capital, Now that the front on Lebanon is slowing getting under control, more troops can be sent in to focus on Palestine and Syria.

Givati also rejected the peace proposal, such an agreement would threaten the future of Givati.

Peace Proposal Rejected
The de facto surrender demand from the Syrians was rejected by the Persian government for demanding that the Coalition withdraw and allow the regime to produce secret weapons.
Deir ez Zour secured!
Persian troops have raised the red, green, and white flag over this Syrian town. 6,000 Persian troops facing mostly regime forces won a clear victory while taking significant casualties.
Death from the Sky
In addition to the PAS bombardment the enemy from above, Fateh-110 missiles launched from Iraq have targeted Regime bases across Syrian. Intense barrages being fired at bases, their targeting systems are very precise and are often guided towards specific buildings or places.

Peace Proposal Rejected, America declares war on Palestine.
The North American Federation rejects the peace proposal, seeing how ridiculous it is. The North American Federation has furthermore declared war on Palestine, and will deploy another 8,000 American soldiers, and another 8,000 Unionian soldiers in their defense. Air strikes against Palestinian bases will commence, along with a naval blockade.

Scandinavia Floods Syrian Skies With Humanitarian Aid
In response to the major humanitarian disaster in the volatile region, the Kalmar Union has dispatched several of the Saab JAS Gripen 39Fs stationed in the Gold Coast to drop large packages of humanitarian aid in lands held by moderate rebels and coalition forces. The Syrian people are extremely grateful for these gifts. It is pretty clear that the KU and its leadership sides with the moderate rebels in this conflict; however, they have not formally made any declarations.

Palestine Airstrikes called off
The American's called off their air strikes in Palestine, remembering that it was an SES protectorate, and began taking the current war against Palestine to a more defensive front, guarding the borders between Givati and Palestine. The NAF soldiers are at this point attempting to calm things down between Givati and Palestine, taking the war between Palestine and Givati as more of a peacekeeping mission than a war.

OOC: Again, sorry for the short post. I legit couldn't find a way to make this post any longer.

Seeing tensions rise up in the Middle East again as a result from the strong anti-western and anti-European stance stemming from the extremist which time and time again has proven to influence the people. With the Eurasian Election coming in just a few days, President Anastasia intends to seek a quick peace between the states namely Givati and Palestine as to avoid a lengthy conflict that could potentially see the destruction of either state. Unfortunately, Palestine was the aggressor in this most recent incident in declaring war, with this in mind the governmental head now sees that their stance can be solely aimed at either party. In an effort to see forth a peace between the two states the government from now until the end of the war will adopt a policy known as Assertive Force.

War Threatened
The government has decided that it is in best interest of the nation as a member of the entente to enter the war within Syria to bring a quick and hopefully decisive victory over the terrorist. The current debate is of how big of a force to enter with with main determining factor being Givati itself and should the nation be willful to stand down.

As of both DRS Resolutions 21 and 29 which see that both Givati and Palestine are separate nation as well as ensures a protection claus for either:

Eurasia herby makes official its stance with Palestine. In the name of greater peace and balance in the region as well as upholding commitments of protection, the SES gives exactly 72hrs to cease any and all offensive action taken during and after this period acting a defacto declaration of war against the SES as a protector.

Sanctions Placed on Palestine
After Resolution: 29 passed many Nazidaki companies had taken the opportunity to aid the Palestinian economy by investing in home grown companies, infrastructure, as well as providing a safety for the Palestinian economy to fall back on should it continue to stagnate. With the fall of Nazidaki and subsequent rise of Eurasia, the SES has firmly decided to take the place of Nazidaki. This has lead to a number of Eurasian investment in the state so that it may use any generated revenue to rebuild and create schools, hospitals, and infrastructure. In an effort to deter any further militant actions the Eurasian government has passed a series of laws called the "Steel Noose" with sanctions targeted at government officials in the country, a slow down of Eurasian investment into the country, and a complete embargo on the country with Eurasia to end the use of selling military equipment and possibly any equipment that quote "can aid in the manufacture of militant surplus".

The nation of SES herby declares war upon the Islamic Extremist of Syria as well as denounces them as being active agents of repressive change in the nation. The government is to make a formal request to Turkey to be able to make use of select airfields to begin an airbombing campaign in Syria which is total roughly 51-100 aircraft. Manpower it currently being decided upon and is dependent on the case if Givati stands down in its invasion of Palestine.

The Givatian forces in Palestine are beginning a push, upwards to link up with Syria through the Golan, the hope is that Givatian forces in Syria and Palestine will eventually be able to link up with each other and make an offensive on Damascus, ending the war as soon as the possible. However the Palestinian forces are providing resistance and the push upwards for Givatian forces will be a tough one. Support for the War in Palestine and Syria back in Givati is high, with many Givatians shouting 'Never Again!' and 'Back to Bethlehem!' in pro-war rallies throughout the country.

The Givatian offensive on Homs is going as planned it is expected that Givati will have most if not all the city under Givatian or anti-government rebel control, after finishing the battle in Homs, Givatian forces will push down and begin the offensive on Damascus.

Kobajebb Secured!
Kobajebb, a town not-far from Deiz el-Zour along the road has been secured by the People's Army leading further on the road to Palmyra, a fat prize for the People's Army. Fateh-110 rockets continue to pound Syrian forces across the country, while F-14s have maintained a no-fly zone over the land they hold downing several Syrian jets in the process. Mostly Mig-23s. Another victory for freedom!

Prussian Involvement
(This entire post is IC stuff that's classified to your government, pretend u know NONE of this :)

With things getting very complicated with the 72 hour window, 50 Spartans, and 75 cockroaches have been deployed attempting to destabilize both government and military ranks of both Syria And Palestine. They will be sacrificing some stealth hoping for speed but with Syria and Palestine being a mess currently they aren't expected to notice.

The people of Palestine have become outraged at Zackaroth for what is being calling the "deliberate assassination" of the nation's President, and have declared that Palestine will never forgive this evil act. Despite this however, the war continues to go poorly for the country, with 8,000 civilians being killed in the opening hours of chaos between pro-Givati and pro-Palestinian militia, while the two nation's official armies have continued to clash. The Palestinian Prime Minister, realizing that the plan to occupy Israeli territory and hold it long enough for peace to be negotiated has backfired, has called for emergency meetings with the Givati government. The Palestinian leadership knows that the war is not winnable, and now only seeks to try and retain it's own sovereignty after years of occupation. Meanwhile, with Beirut and half the country in allied hands, Lebanon has fallen to the Allies. Meanwhile, the Givati forces pushing from Southern Lebanon and Palestinian territory would be successful in capturing the Golan Heights, and emerging from Homs victorious as the demoralized and confused enemy armed forces would be subject to large amounts of infighting. The Regime army has all but fallen apart, with the junta in Damascus no longer having any control over events. Rebel groups continue to rise in the North and East of the country, where they clash with invading Persian soldiers.

Zackarothian forces have been ordered to dig in and expect the worse if war with Persia comes. Zakaroth has been fighting for control of south western Syrian, including bombing Damascus relentlessly. However, the march has been stalled as Zackarothian troops prepare for a possible war with Persia and its allies if blows come to blows. Syrian's future has gotten alot more darker as relations begin to break down amoung those fighting for it.

The NAF & HDUHA attack forces make a quick march towards the capital, Damascus alongside Givatian troops. Now a total of 18,000 Unionian and American soldiers march on the city. Their air superiority fighters would continue to maintain dominance in the air, and their bombers would continue to wipe out Syrian military targets, specifically airports and military bases. Tanks and armored vehicles would carefully advance, mine sweepers securing their advance, and Unionian and American Rangers would clear out buildings, making sure there wasn't an RPG ambush or something similar set up.

With situation in Palestine seeming to come down the newly renamed Soviet Air Force have been called to begin a series of airstrikes targeted at regime elements near the capital of Damascus. Further, the government has made an official notice to begin leasing out Soviet military equipment to entente members to see to it that peace is restored to the Middle East. This includes but is not limited to:

AK-74m rifles
MP-443 pistol
Dragunov SVD Sniper Rifle
RPK-74M Machinegun
RPG-29
T-80 tank
and
BMP-2

Any and all weaponry are expected to be returned upon completion of the objective or for the Soviet state to be compensated should the equipment be lost or destroyed.

Persian forces have not taken up defensive positions against the troops of Zakaroth, and continue their march to Palmyra, Persian troops gave surrounded the city, and have begun to shell it. Shelling has been kept to a minimum, as too not destroy the ancient ruins present. Several movable artifacts have been moved to Persian museums. Persian infantry currently enter the city, hoping to win victory for their country.

A secretive missive was sent to both UMU and Israeli forces. The call was for them to pull out of Damascus and form a perimeter around the city to stop any possible escape by Regime leaders. The missive also said to not cut through the city center as that area would be a high danger zone in the the immediate future and Zackaroth did not wish for any friendly fire. Many generals knew that a seige of Damascus would take weeks, even with all their forces working together it would be a nightmare to cut through the city streets and search every nook for an enemy. The city was compact and tight, as many big cities in the Middle East are. Zackaroth however, had a plan to end this in one massive blow that would decapitate the regime and leave them to focus only on the insurgents, while also spreading fear and panic through the population.

Prussians come out of the dark.

Today Kaiser Wilhelm confirmed the presence of 125 special ops forces attempting to disrupt leadership of the regime and terrorist organizations. He also confirmed that Prussia had pulled out of Palestine and focused 100% on Syria. With this announcement he also said that they had killed a few government leaders using bombs to make it look like terrorist.

They have also said they failed to infiltrate the city of Damascus but this is partly due to the fact that Persia and NAF have surrounded the city with more a defensive position. Rather than continue their attack.

The 25 combined Spartans and Cockroaches decided to find a low part of the city to send a snail mail message to NAF generals asking what is happening.....
