Is this the place to place claims of former Feng lands? Lol

Deian wrote:[An ending that would be fitting to my original image. If it must be destroyed and reborn as a phoenix, I want the ending to have my nation's leaders and dynasty be remembered as heroes who worked hard to bring about world peace.
And for Murasame, Jian, Xiao(Can't remember exact name consult Aravea), and Yan and Holo's children to survive and come to my Imperial germany nation to be protected, so I can keep them in my nation as like Feng's legacy in my new nation.
Murasame, Jian, and Xiao are also Yan and Holo's children.
I just gave up on remembering all the names halfway in

Additional notes from one of the consultant.

Deian wrote:Fine.
But at least make sure that Murasame and Jian and the other children survive.
I want to make them dukes and leaders in the German nation. I'm thinking the German nation will be an old friend of Feng's.
Plus, Murasame and Jian have great promise and I really want to keep those two characters most of all, and the daughter. Who's name I can't remember.
Oh right Yang and...His twin too

Murasame Yin, my chosen successor to Yan, is like Cao Chong, but he lives and his personality ends up being like Sun Quan's.
Cao Chong was a child prodigy and Cao Cao's prized son but died at age 13. He did several famous feats though before his death.

General Zhou Hong was like Zhang Fei mixed with Zhang Liao: A drunkard but a powerful warrior and talented general, though occasionally got too drunk.
Yuan Shen, the Interior Minister, was like Chen Qun

The grand general, General Tong Yin(Has the Yin family name honorarily) is like a mixture of Zhao Yun and Kenshin Uesugi

Lulong Yin, the uncle to the emperor and Prime Minister and President
He is very loyal to the emperor and his personality is like Zhuge Liang's.
In fact the Emperor was originally based off of Liu Shan

Writer's Rant

Postby Aeyariss » Tue Oct 11, 2016 12:04 am

Looks like you are behind schedule again. Perhaps you might want to say something that to the people who are following this thread?

Well, not really. No. Besides I'm not sure how many people actually read through all those TL;DR materials I've wrote in the first two post, maybe Deian only though. (Laugh) A total of about 7,500 words in what be only 2/3 of the first chapter - remind me to edit this later before we publish the finished digital novel - and this is supposed to be a 'light' novel project! But I supposed, for those who did anticipated the third post, when I said this is going to be updated weekly, I am sorry, I failed..and having said that, I'm also sorry that I honestly have no idea when I can post the next chapter of NS very first [National Burial] series - I sort of coin that term myself as the opposite of [Nation Maintenance] thread.

So where do we go from here?

Well I am still in planning process, and to be honest when I first started on the first two posts, I have no concrete idea where I want to go with this project, all I know was that I want to write a story that depict the decline, fall, and ultimately destruction of the so called "Great Feng". (Grin) Then when I read back what I wrote, it's quite an embarrassment when I reflect and ask myself; was that the best that I can do?

The answer is a simple but absolute; no.

I can do far better than that. I can do more. I can do so much more. (Get the reference?) So I did what a good professional writer ought to do, paused, and get back to the drawing board - which at this point is really empty. So I am still in the process of defining the basics literature aspect of this project, and now I have some sort of story map that I can work with, instead of simply writing recklessly like I did in the first two posts.I will use the standard three acts structure, and drive the whole story to one central overarching theme.

This doesn't seem like a normal role play now, does it?

Because it isn't. Well, not really, no. Not anymore. The best I can define this project is to call it as a "collaborative novel writing". (Yeah, so much for light novel, I don't think with 3,000 average words per posts it can be call a light novel when this is done)...and this is more complicated than the usual Nation vs Nation "war" that seems to have plagued both mainstream II and P2TM forum. What I hope and planned for this is that this Operation Jigoku: Blood and Fire is going to become and end with something more profound than all those conventional RPs. But then again, technically it is still going to be an RP because it will involved few very select writers to go along the way, who I hope can help make the story whole.

So in other words, this is going to become like a scripted roleplay?

Well, you can look it that way. There's nothing wrong that the way I see. As lead writer, I got to decide on where to take the overall plot and theme of this story but the other players, or writer in this context, are still in controls of their own characters, their actions, their choice and react to the development of events in the story. So, yes, this is essentially about character interacting with the world around them, and not in the traditional sense of against another player (or writer). I want to present a complete not half bake story, something that I can enjoy doing and completing instead of participating in those silly Nation vs Nation wars across II anymore. Operation Jigoku: Blood and Fire isn't going to end up like that. Besides, seven years in this site, I've never ended any of my RP with the big note; THE END; I intend to do just that in this semi-RP, story project.

So, for those who wishes to participate in this project, what do you have to say to them?

Well, I must tell them that this is a collaborative writing project and not a Nation vs Nation war, and that there is a general theme and plot that we all will be working on, and thus while they are free to control their own characters action and choice, they must fit within the larger framework and big picture, and I don't want any of them to ruin the overall story, and that this is going to be a long term project. Of course, they can have a stand alone story arc that they can run with, and I will be happy to include it with the big picture of this story. So it means, in this story universe which is mostly about political and military duel between several great powers, if someone wishes to write about a love story, they can do it revolving their own characters - if I don't like it, I can just edit it out in the finalized digital novel. (Laugh)

Ok, moving on, what are the challenges that you already faced so far, and how did you plan to overcome them?

Oh, since this is a story about the so call "Great Feng", I had to learn and understand the fundamentals about this fictional country; politically, economically, militarily and socially. Which to be honest was not adequately prepared by the original owner of this account! I had practically had to reinvent and reimagined almost everything...and Gods, I had to work with what Deian had already worked on which wasn't up to my preferences really. (Sighed)

Really, I don't think it was that bad?

Have you RPed with Deian, before?

No.

Well I have, and seriously, both of his OOC projection an IC presence as well as the overall persona of Feng is 180 degree different compared to what he had in mind, actually. I can't work using his original works...so I had to tweak them to fit with the overall personification of the so called Great Feng in this project...and to be honest, how I plan to depict those Fengs in this work is actually 10 times better than the actual one when he had roleplayed them in the pasts. So if I follow the things he wanted me to follow, and I RPed them as such, then Great Feng doesn't need to be buried does it?

I supposed that makes sense, so are you going to follow what he had asked?

(Mysterious smile) Well, let's find out, shall we? But I won't discuss more to reveal the future of this story project. He (Deian) and the rest of the world can read about the end of Feng himself.

OK, one final question, can you introduce to the rest of the world that still doesn't know what Operation Jigoku: Fire and Blood is about?

Sure, Operation Jigoku: Fire and Blood, is the ongoing collaborative writing project between me and Cuscy (New Aeyariss), who both had a long history of engagement with the so call "Feng". The owner (Deian) however, had decided to quit NS, and had asked Cuscy to "bury Feng", and long story made simple; I got the project and is now responsible for the bloods that are going to be spilled and the fire that is going to destroy the Feng people.

In a deeper note, this story is a military-political drama, and it takes place during the final stage of Great Feng decline where the Dynasty sort of to speak finally lose "the Mandate from Heaven" and was overthrown. Basically the story follows the trial of characters that are trying to save the Feng Dynasty and those that wish to expedite its own demise.

In international relations perspective, this story is a pure example of realism, and about the great power politics, and the military balance of power that causes all the power play in the international systems. In military senses, well this is basically the fracture of a vast empire, supported by foreign players and the 21st century equivalent of the Scramble for China. It's about patriotism, nationalism, duty to one country, honor and the horror of a modern mechanized warfare and non state entity terrorism. In another words, basically its a realistic depiction of what future war will look like.

What will you do if you are loyal Feng soldier, who knows that your country is led by corrupt complacent leaders that had been out of touched with reality and is blinded to what is going around them? What will you do if have power to make the changes? And as leader of another great power, what do you do when your own empire is under threat from the union of several large power? Are you going to sit back and watch it all happened? And in all of this, some sinister power is at play, watching, exploiting, manipulating the strings. And you got to make a choice whether to fight or give up. Choices. Sacrifice. Life and death. Pain and suffering. Glory. War.

The stake is high, and the choice the characters had to make will define the Feng Dynasty and the rest of the world.

And that is what Operation Jigoku: Blood and Fire is about.

"Sometimes in order to create; one must first destroy." Only then a new world can be rebuild.

Alright, thank you, that will be all for now.

No problem and welcome.
