Captain Jack Scarecrow of the Halicarnassus wanted to scream as his ship was sucked into the wormhole. Tumbling forces out of control spun it out of control, out of order. There was an unheard hiss in his blood stream as his exo-suit automatically released drugs to counter the flight or fight response. Slowly, his eyes returned to normal, the ship stopped spinning.
"Halicarnassus, SITREP and damage report!"
No major damage, Sir. Systems currently assessing... rebooting- full functionality confirmed.
He breathed a sigh of relief. Thankfully, the PP field had managed to prevent the ship from being crushed, though just barely. The transport on the other hand, was not so lucky. While the field was still up, obstructing any energy from escaping and reaching the sensors of other ships and conversely preventing any meaningful information being detected by their own sensors, there was no indication it had survived. Luckily, they had managed to move the President onboard before the beam had been disengaged and the ships separated. And unfortunately, only two of the rescue party had it back aboard before that. Jack silently noted them in the ship's log, remembering and honouring fellow comrades in his own way.
It was time to go home. In order to get past the dog of an enemy corvette at the gate however, some trickiness had to be used. From a hangar in the bottom of the ship, a decoy was released. It possessed the same features of the Halicarnassus; heat, visible spectrum- it even possessed its own stealthy PP field. Unlike the real deal however, it only possessed sensors and a PP condenser with a limited runtime. It wouldn't need anymore than that.
As it silently boosted away, it decloaked for the merest of miliseconds in order to allow its sensors to gather data. It's current location, and the surrounding space. Which of course, included any other ships that might be waiting to ambush them. While a conventional, non-PP cloaking field used any number of methods to prevent detection across the EM spectrum, this actually scattered more energy across the entire spectrum than would have otherwise been spread on a number of wavelengths, due to the power of the cloaking field. This was enough for conventional sensors up to top-secret military grade- however, when faced with the special properties and interactions of PP particles, it was instantly detectable. All of this was then transmitted via inter-dimensional quantum communications to Halicarnassus, before it was inevitably targeted and destroyed.
