On the Mosque roof, there was twenty five Talikan fighters who were lead by a local cleric named Mullah Mohamed Taraka, who was the local Mullah at the Mosque. He got up from his stool and got his AK-47 and started to walk around the roof to check the morale of his men, he then saw a Talikan fighter in corner crying, he looked about sixteen to seventeen at least. The fighter said while crying, "we are all going to die", Taraka replied by saying, "hey, this is a good thing for we will enter heaven with Allah while the dirty Tobiasian infidels will enter hell and also with our sacrifice, the people of Wariztan will rise up and enforce god's Sharia upon the land". Taraka then walked up to a fighter who was putting on a suicide bomb vest and asked, "do you remember what to do?" The fighter said, "yes, I put on this cloak so they won't see my vest then I run as fast as I can and say don't shoot! I'm a civilian! then I detonate my vest". "excellent" Taraka said, "you will be awarded in heaven".
The fighter then put on his cloak, went down stairs, ran towards Tobiasian forces and shouted "ALLAH AKBAR!" as he detonated his suicide bomb vest. The rest of the fighters then poured down the stairs, firing their weapons at the remaining Tobiasian troops.

Private Percy Waulot was ready. In a few minutes they would attack the mosque. He was checking his kit, ready to enter the fray, sitting next to an Aardvark tank, while waiting for the arrival of 800 or so additional troops, when a man wearing a long cloak came running up to the Tobiasian forces.

The assembled Tobiasians, around 30 or so, at once rushed to their arms. The man shouted in a croaked voice "civilian help". The officer in charge of the group ordered the troops to stand down. "Get him medical help". Percy was just turning to walk back to where he sat when there was an almighty explosion, ripping through the dusty street. He was blown forward to the tank, hitting his body on the thick armour. All around there was chaos, a group of Talikans had rushed forward, firing like crazy in the wake of the explosion. Only a couple of Tobiasians who had been further away were at their feet and firing, a few others like Percy were still moving. But most lay dead on the ground. The Talikans began to slow down, still desperatly firing and launching grenades. The Tobiasians were hopelessly outnumbered, being gunned down in the street by merciless Talikans. Then Percy heard a rumble from down the road. A convoy of vehicles moved with pace towards them. Aarkvark tanks, Foxhound light tanks and Maulet APC's. There was a chorus of explosions as the skies opened up to reveal three attack helicopters swooping towards them. Several Talikans fell, but one man raised a rocket launcher and fired it. The deafening explosion from the exploded helicopter nearly ripped Percy's ears off. Then came the tanks, bullets flew from both sides, the Tobiasians not daring to use their main guns for fear of friendly fire. The leader of the Talikans, Mullah Mohamed Taraka, dropped his rifle, having spent all its bullets, and drew out a grenade, throwing it towards the advancing tanks. The leading tank, a light Foxhound tank with side armour, was hit on the tracks by the grenade. With another explosion this tank was grounded in a flash of light. Behind it another tank kept firing, and bullets hit Mullah Mohamed Taraka, and with that he was dead. By now nearly all the Talikans had been hit, and the remaining two ran for their lives.

The next ten minutes were organised chaos. Troops ran around, officers waved vigorously, armoured cars whizzed around, tanks lumbered from area to area, helicopters buzzed overhead, snipers began to fire lone shots at the mosque entrance. Finally there was a cry from the commanding officer, and the attack began.

A squad of soldiers tried to break down the door, but it would not budge. A tank was brought in, which blew the door off the masonry on the wall. At once there was a response by the Talikans. Bullets flew around the area, grenades were tossed around like cricket balls. Slowly the Tobiasians began to take control, more and more soldiers began to enter the mosque. The sound of gunfire was deafening.

The Talikans retreated from the main room into side rooms. One by one the Tobiasians cleared the rooms, opening doors and firing. As the sound of gunfire subsided, the smell of smoke and blood filled the air. The bodies of soldiers lay on the ground. Tobiasians and Talikans side by side.

The mosque had been cleared. The Talikan menace in al Marat was on its last legs, with only a few areas of the city still controlled, and the Talikans had lost an important propaganda symbol, the fabled mosque of al Marat.

The area needed recovery. Around 800 Talikans and 534 Tobiasians had died in a brutal battle for al Marat so far. The Talikans, even though they had massively less equipment, had still inflicted huge losses.

Total losses so far:
1,563 soldiers
34 tanks
47 armoured cars
7 helicopters
3 aircraft

From: Alexander, Leader of The Kingdom of United Tecdo Peandlands

We may be able to destroy some vital rebel camps and break through rebel held cities, though we must know first if you have a national railroad system? We have several armored trains that could prove to tip the balance in our favor. If not, we'll prepare to load up a armored regiment and send them to assist.

Massare at Jalalabad

Postby Wariztan » Wed Nov 16, 2016 2:02 pm

Jalalabad military base
Wariztan
11:00AM - Wariztani time

General Baaqi Al Sadim was sitting his office chair, drinking his morning coffee. He was wearing the typical Wariztani People's army uniform except he had a five striped patch on the side of his arm and the coat of arms on his cap. A WPA colonel walked into the room and said, "comrade general, I have a message from comrade president Hafizullah Amin which is of high importance and for you eyes only". The colonel then carefully gave Sadim the letter while not to drop into the cup of coffee. Sadim open the letter, he first read it in his head and then out loud.

It read.

To comrade General Baaqi Al Sadim

Greetings, I am ordering you to send your forces to attack the city of Jalalabad for it has been overrun by Mujahedeen forces and foreign agents. I want your men to show no mercy to any living thing in Jalalabad, including men, women and children, for they have betrayed the great socialist revolution and are enemies of the people.

Sincerely, President Hafizullah Amin

Sadim sighed, "send the 5th and 8th infantry brigade and as well as 3rd armoured brigade to attack Jalalabad", he said with an upset and exhausted voice. "Yes comrade general", the colonel said before saluting Sadim and walking out the room.

{30 Minutes Later}

The 5th and 8th brigade soldiers were preparing for the assault, these brigades were called the devil brigades as they were infamous for their brutality and lack of mercy for their victims, these were the brigades that had rebellious villages and communes, killed by slicing their throats and then would burn everything down along with the corpses. They loaded up into the trucks and departed towards the city of Jalalabad, the commander of the 5th brigade said, "alright boys, we are going to have fun tonight, the colonel said to spare no one and if any of any of them scream, cut their tongues out". "Sir yes comrade sir". The men replied as the trucks neared the city and was even closer to the agrarian communes as the farmers started to work at their fields.

{5 Minutes Later}

The soldiers jumped out of the trucks and began the assault on Jalalabad, some waited for the armoured brigades to move up while others began firing anyone they had seen, they started with the farmers first, they slaughtered all of them with some soldiers mowing the farmers down with their assault rifles and even others grabbing farming tools and beating their victims with them. With them moving them into the city centre, the BTRs purposefully ran over civilians and then firing upon others. A group of men from the 8th brigade catch a 80 year old man and throw him down a well and then throw down a grenade, after absolute carnage for three hours, the remaining civilians retreaedt to the city mosque and lock them selves in. The soldiers then burn down the Mosque with everyone inside and with all this, the massacre was being filmed by numerous soldiers with their phones, cameras and GoPro helmet cams. These videos were uploaded social media and got millions of views online worldwide, this had to get someone's attention.

OOC: Going to be gone for a while (7-10 days) so the RP will be on temporary close.

Outskirts of Jalalabad
Wariztan

Brigadier General Anthony Calais sat at a round steel table, his cappuccino cup rattling as he placed it down. The fluorescently-lit, steel alloy bunker only had small, tri-layered bulletproof windows; the thirty-five TRF1 howitzers anchored a few meters from the bunker's front door, the base's high watchtowers and barbed-wire-topped fencing, and a clump of sandy-looking buildings called Jalalabad in the distance was all that could be seen. Knowing the fighting style of the government-deployed forces in the city, Calais had coordinated with the onsite government officers to make sure his artillery brigade would not cause collateral damage.

"Sir," stated a voice from the now opened door to the bunker, "the howitzers are fully-loaded and prepared to fire twenty-seven consecutive volleys. Do you authorize the attack?" Looking back at the officer, Calais sighed, "Of course Michal, of course...Now leave, I must consult the government officials regarding it." Nodding, the officer closed the door to the bunker and shouted a string of words in Hembyan, the Tectonixian language. After a few seconds, the entire base shook violently as the anchored howitzers fired their first shots. Arcs of deadly light flew from the base to the town, where they impacted a collection of buildings and edifices, presumably some kind of market. The market was obliterated in a myriad of debris, with a large dust cloud rising from the rubble. The sound of gunfire heard temporarily halted at the sound of the howitzers firing and their shells destroying the moderately large area, before they resumed. Inside, Calais spoke on the radio with the government officers, making sure that the next building that was fired upon would have more mujahedeen troops than the last. Meanwhile, seven Tectonixian tanks left the base and sped towards the city, their barrels already arced and firing round after round at some nearby buildings, crumbling them to concrete dust.

Tectonix was now involved in the Battle of Jalalabad.

From: The Government of the Emirate of Ghoristan

The Government of the Emirate of Ghoristan wishes to assist the government of Wariztan in their fight against terrorist insurgency. The Emirate is prepared to send a small force of 100 infantry from the Ghoristani Army to begin with, in addition the pro-Government militia "Ghoristani Hezbollah" would like to offer 2,000 of their soldiers to perform any role that the Wariztani government wants.

Al-Hanof, Tobiasian zone, Wariztan

Field Marshall Samuels strode into the bunker in which stood his officers. The room was full of noise. Samuels gestured for silence. "Sir there's been another Talikan offensive in the south, on the coast. In Jalabad. And another nation has joined the war. Corspia. They're attacking the city with all their might, and Tectonix has joined in. The whole city is a bloodbath, they're massacring civilians on both sides daily".
"This ends here. Call out the third division and send 2,000 soldiers south with an armoured unit. We'll take a town on the coast, we need supplies by sea, and then we'll head for Jalabad. Alert Tectonix to our presence. We need to reach the sea. Our land stretches for a couple of hundred miles downriver, and your soldiers must do the last hundred or so. I'll order planes to cover your assault. Long live Tobiasia".

Mark Zingle stood his pistol aimed at a captured Talikan's head. 25 Talikan were bound with disposable handcuffs found within the cities police station and placed up against a brick wall. Already eager soldiers executed some Talikan. A special group of soldiers whose ancestors were born in Iran, before the United Tecdo Peandland had taken half of Iran. 10 of Them in total, when they executed their Talikan they held white styrofoam cups up before slicing the rebels throats and capturing the blood in the cups. One after other they began to chant in a native language before chugging the blood and pissing and shitting on the rebels bodies. They continued to desecrate the bodies. The practice was frowned upon by Peandlands for the most part, seeing it as brutal and dishonorable, but, Alexander had let it slide as the warriors they produced were amazing ones.

The city of Marja was falling quick, already 3/4's of it was taken from the rebels, or completely destroyed by artillery or Textonix Airstrikes. Peandland troops engaged in a brutal urban combat doctrine, clearing every room in half seconds with grenades and shotguns taken from Rebels corpses. It would only be a matter of time before the city was retaken and the rebels pushed out.

Tobiasian troops had already taken a couple of hundred miles south of al Hanof, and with strong support in the area in comparison to the areas around Marja or al Haoud, the troops were moving qucikly unopposed. This, after all, was simply a plan to cut south and reach the sea, allowing supplies to arrive by boat into Tobiasian controlld areas. The land here was flatter and now that they were in the river basin, the land was more fertile. This would be key when this war was over, key to rebuilding Wariztan.

In 8 days of travelling, the troops had only encountered occasional resistance. And if the Tobiasians stayed clear of Marja, it would continue like that. The whole Marja area was a bloodbath.

Fighting continued in Marja, with Mark Zingle leading the spearhead into enemy camps himself. Vehicles crashed forward into camps firing off mounted weapons into scattering Talikan soldiers. Sporadic gunfire was a normal sight throughout the city after the weeks of Urban warfare, now with nothing but ruins of homes to fight in. The Peandland troops prepared for a grueling Urban fight, that would most likely last months if not years even after the Civil war elsewhere had ended. Alexander also announced the removal of 2,000 soldiers to deal with Communist rebels in Peandland.

The murky war in Wariztan just got murkier, as an unexpected nation joined the bloodbath that has claimed the lives of over 10,000 Tobiasians to date. The LFG, a new nation in the international politics ring, has sent 7,000 heavily armed troops to Wariztan. It is unclear what their purpose is, where they will be sent, or who they will be fighting, but this unexpected announcement will throw the future of the war into even more speculation. The troop number may be small, in comparison to the 40,000 Tobiasian troops, but this is still an important event.

President Jonathan Smith today urged the LFG not to infringe on Tobiasias progress to the southern sea, and not to stray into Tobiasian controlled land. He also said Tobiasia seek to maintain good relations with the LFG, and hope the troops will support humanitarian work, especially in the besieged city of Marja.

OOC: Jalalabad isn't in the south, it is in the east near the Pakistani border and also the Talikan aren't attacking it, the government are.

At the city of Taloqan, members of the free Wariztani army were cleaning out the remaining government forces which still held 1/3 of the city including city hall and the grand mosque. They had 500 soldiers, three T-62 Tanks and one T-64 Tank.

Aabaan Saif dove for cover as incoming RPG flew over his head and had hit a FWA AA gun mounted on a Toyota truck, he aimed his AK-47 at the incoming WPA troops and fired ten rounds out of his rifle. Saif was a investigating journalist who was based in Kabul and had a report to western media about the human rights abuses in Wariztan, his entire family was imprisoned and killed by the communist regime but he managed to escape to Britain where he just escaped the secret police. After almost over five years of exile where he had lead a civil rights group and had convinced many western nations to place sanctions on Wariztan, he had watched Nashid Al Rasad's video and decided to act, he got on a plan to Uzbekistan and had illegally crossed the Wariztani border where he had met up with the free Wariztani army and had joined them.

Saif and 100 members of the FWA had managed to take two blocks from government forces and were advancing on city hall, suddenly a T-62 Tank appeared from a street corner and started to fire on the fighters, running several of the over, Saif ran into a nearby food shop to gain cover, he looked around and saw a picture of President Amin hanging over the counter so he grabbed the picture and smashed it on the floor. He the saw a a RPG 22, he picked it up, aimed it at the tank and fired, the tank was ripped to a smouldering wreck. Saif sighed, he picked up his AK and headed towards city hall where most of the government forces were either killed, surrendered or had fled, him and five fighters climbed on top of the roof, torn down the government flag on the flagpole and had raised the flag of the Free Wariztani Army.

Narki al sarqa's farm
Kandahar province
17:00PM - Local time

Narki walked into his house after a long day of farming, this is what most Wariztanis did, after the communists took over they forced a lot of the civilian population out of urban areas and forced to work on small communal farms as the new government declared an "agrarian revolution against the tyranny of urban life", only a small percent of the Wariztani population lived in the cities. The people who were already farmers hated the government's land reform as it went against the core principles of Islam. Narki sat down and turned on the radio as his television was smashed by the Talikan when they visited his village as they also gave him a few cuts and bruises, when the radio turned on it played the government owned radio Kabul which was the only radio channel allowed which was the same on the television, the news caster read the local report, "greetings everyone, this is radio Kabul and this is the news, our brave army pushed UIF forces in five villages and three towns, although the city of Jeda still remains under their control but we will retake it soon, the newly created Wariztani people's militia or WPM for short has received four more T-55s and two more T-62s, this tanks will soon be deployed to the front, four hundred Talikan terrorists have been killed in the city of Marja as our allies try to take back the city and liberate its population. In weather, it is to expected to rain heavy through out the week, this is excellent news as we will be able to grow more crops and our farm animals will have more grass to chew on, in other news, over five hundred grams of wheat has been sold to our neighbour and communist ally federation of takistan, this shows the greatness of Agrarian socialism and Maoism third worldism-." The broadcast was suddenly interrupted as a new voice said, "hello people of Wariztan", Narki turned up the volume, "this is radio free Wariztan, a broadcast channel not own by the Marxist regime in Kabul as everything they spout out is absolute lies, so people please rise up against this oppression and join the free Wariztani Army which is fighting for a free and democratic Wariztan which will not be based on either the Quran nor Das Kapital". The broadcast suddenly ended as Narki sighed, he looked at a picture of his pregnant wife and kids who were all killed in a government airstrike on the local market.

The city of Maraja

Nour al Sarki was on a Dshk heavy machinegun mounted on a old and dirty looking Toyota pick up truck, he shouted "ALLAH AKBAR!" as he mowed down 30 Peandlandian soldiers, he was providing cover for more Talikan fighters to move up and bring in heavy weaponry such as AA guns, multiple Tanks, rocket launchers, flak guns, artillery guns and other Anti armour and anti Air weapons, as Nour was reloading his weapon he asked the other fighters to provide him cover as they did, he saw a Peandlandian armoured personal carrier pull up just 50 meters ahead of him and started firing on the Talikan, as their troops dismounted and started to fire on the fighters, Nour jumped of the pickup truck and picked up an RPG-7 and fired it at the personal carrier, the explosion not only killed everyone in the vehicle but also engulfed some soldiers who stood close to it. The remaining troops were slaughtered by the amount of heavy fire there was, suddenly two Tectonixian Jets and one drone and within seconds started to fire on the Talikan, Nour ran for cover as multiple bombs were being drooped then he saw three fighters firing Anti Aircraft SAM missiles and as all hit their targets which were nothing but smouldering wrecks, the militants fired celebratory gunfire into the air and shouted "Allah Akbar! long live Mullah Omar!" over and over again, one thing was clear, the Talikan were not goanna give up Maraja easily as they were all going to fight to the death.

OOC: Will do a post on Jalalabad tomorrow.

Mark Zingle ran forward, cutting down two pistol wielding Insurgents. The industrial building was filled with ammo and explosives along with half a dozen more Talikan armed to the teeth with heavy weaponry. Things got worse as two Technical's drove through the street behind them and opened up on the two men outside killing them.

Peandland troops all over the city started to form fortresses and lead huge charges into the Talikan army without fear.

One such fortress was called 'Alexander's Fist' where 200 soldiers were set up in. The men scrambled to weapons and set up M2's in window's aiming at the road where a convoy of seven Talikan controlled vehicles rolled forward. Once the vehicles got close, RPD's barked with the M2's and ripped apart the first vehicle, turning it into a molten husk. Dynamite sticks scattered the unloading Talikan troops killing most of them while leaving the others split into squads of 3-4. Once the Talikan entered the building, they were scattered again by single men armed with Spas-12's. The last dozen Talikan were done in by a belt of frag grenades and several sticks of dynamite collapsing a portion of the 1st floor.

Jalalabad
Wariztan

Master Sergeant Jorge Gage fired nonstop atop the ROTEM K2 MBT tank, the mounted 57 mm BM-57 rifled autocannon's bullets mowing down a nearby cluster of mujahedeen soldiers. The tank was moving quickly through the streets of Jalalabad; the third tank formation was the second blitz attack, preceded by several volleys from the TRF-1 howitzers at the base and slow approach by Tectonixian heavy tanks, and would be proceeded by the same thing. This alternating pattern of slow and fast attacks was defined as the "Flashing Death" maneuver, and was rarely used.

"Gage! Three technicals, six o'clock!" shouted a voice from the interior of the tank. Taking heed, Gage whipped his head and weapon around just in time to spot the three captured armored vehicles trundling down the adjacent road, their guns pointed at the tank. Dozens of bullets began whizzing at the tank, and a few even grazed Gage's arms. Cursing, he unloaded on the first vehicle, which after a few seconds stopped firing. A thump next to the road signified the death of the technical's operator. The tank itself fired off two rounds at the technicals, which caught on fire and exploded, with a few mujahideens fleeing the scene.

After a few minutes, the tank regrouped with fourteen others on the outskirts of the city to make way for the raining death of the artillery. The men inside the tanks looked on in silent contemplation as the Tobiasian, Peandland and government forces also, for a very short period of time, left the area the artillery was focused on.*

Tectonix was still heavily involved in the fight for Jalalabad.

After hundreds of miles of guerrilla warfare, the Tobiasians had reached the south sea. They could see the blue waters from where a group stood on a hill facing down. Down into the port-side town of Qaraw.

The town was a very small collection of houses and shops nestled around a small harbour. The population was only around 400.

Suddenly gunshots erupted from the town. Talikan snipers attempted to shoot the Tobiasians on their hill. The infantry fell back to reveal artillery pointing down to the Talikans. There was a short bombardment, lasting around a minute, just to shake the Talikans up a bit, and then the tanks attacked. 40 Aardvark main battle tanks drove down the hill. Attack planes swooped through the sky, hitting Talikan tanks inside Qaraw.

Jalalabad
Wariztan
10:30AM - Local time

Afia bal Tasi was running for her life as government soldiers chased after her and fired their AKs but every single bullet seemed to miss. Tasi ran around a corner and seemed to have lost them, she then started to cry about the horrors that just happened five minutes ago, she remembered how government troops stormed into her house, her parents were slowly stabbed to death, her brother had his arms broke and shot in the head and she was beat and raped multiple times before she managed to escape. She then hears a gun clock and see a Wariztani people's army soldiers aiming his AK-47 at her head, then in a split second, a united Islamic front fighter jams his hunting knife into the soldier's jugular, he then says to Tasi, "it's okay, I'm with Masoud, we are here to save you". He then grabs her hand and runs to other United Islamic front fighters as they start to flee the city and lay down mines for cover as some stay behind to fight the communists, some of them were sure to be captured.

OOC: Sorry if this seems short.

Marjah, Wariztani

Thompson's rattled off ripping up the paved street throwing the Talikan Techincal into the building, connected to 'Alexander's Fist'. Shells ripped through the building, destroying walkways. Windows crashed against the ground throwing glass into the air and cutting up soldiers. The the building shook violently and Sergeant Klovick fired his M16A2 slaughtering a pair of Talikan soldiers.

"Mortars, hit these grids 001176, 001502" A radio operator screamed before a bullet tore his finger off and send him into the fetal position clutching at his bloody hand.

In response, Mortars outside of the city fired, turning a Technical into rubble and flipping another one onto it's side. The technical flashed into a orange fireball. The mortars fired again collapsing a Inn and crushing half a dozen Talikan fighters.

OOC: Wariztani, when you get the chance could you make a huge post about Marjah? The battle's been going on for weeks IRL so I think that it should start moving a little bit. I'll let you decide how, or if you do. Just a suggestion.

OOC: Quick Add-on: Could your post include Marja (which I am bombing and shelling), Jalalabad (which I am shelling and attacking with a joint soldier and blitzing tank force) and that compound near Farat which I drone-striked? No need for a paragraph; maybe just have it mentioned by a mujahideen, Talikan or UIF official. Thanks.
