Supreme Director Ofler of Fiscis rose to the podium. Facing thousands of Fiscisian civilians, he was the Chancellor and President of Fiscis. Elected for life he was a practical dictator. He began a speech:

My fellow Fiscisians... It is my honor to announce the four year anniversary of the Annexation of Moldova. It was bound to fall into chaos with Ukraine and Russia at odds. So today we remember four years ago when we brought Moldova into Fiscis, creating a union between the two culturally identical natio-

A "boom" was heard, then another one. Ofler fell silent, then backwards behind the podium. The crowd changed from cheering to screaming, running for nearby houses or cover. Almost instantly the military had arrived to find the assassin. The Supreme Director was being rushed to the hospital. Officials suspect the plot is one of a foreign power, as no Fiscisian would try to kill their beloved Supreme Director.

We are saddened to hear of the tragedy of this attempt on your leader's life. We offer our most sincere condolences for the attacks and for the de-stabilisation it may cause. Naturally, we wish your nation a quick recovery and an end to any possible political turmoil which may arise from this.

We understand that Supreme Director Ofler is loved by the people, and that, while political freedoms are regrettably lacking by Gjulichan standards, he has ruled with a fair hand for the duration of his time as Supreme Director thus far. As such, we hope for the quick stabilisation of Fiscis, and further hope that this does not escalate.

We would advise caution, but know that Fiscis shall take action as they will.

The Director of the FIA was watching the broadcast when the bomb went off. However, when he saw that the explosion had not killed the dictator, he smashed his fist on the desk which made his mug of coffee jump. "That's impossible! How could that detonation not of killed him" exclaimed as his advisors sat there in shock. "If this didn't work resort to plan B and get the coup prepared!"

The explosion was caused by a planted bomb to kill the dictator in order to overthrow him. With the small resistence in his nation, many mercenaries, mostly part of their armed forces, were contracted by the FIA to overthrow the dictatorship.

Plan B was going to commence, as Ofler was being rushed out, many snipers lined up from a long distance opened a salvo of .950 cal snipers. Drones were keeping a very keen eye on the unfolding incident, however, the FIA was clear to male sure in keeping no trail whatsoever.

The Directory were all seated around a table quietly. They were waiting for a call from the hospital if Ofler would live or die. But to each of the directory, what was most important was if he would die, who would be the heir? Ofler had found Fiscis a democratic society and left it a dictatorship. Grand Admiral Rommeloto entered the room with a letter. Breaking the silence he spoke,
"We have a letter from a foreign power."
Elsa Karlmann, Director of Foreign Affairs, took it from him and opened it.
"Bet it was Gig Em Aggies..." she muttered about the assassination as she opened the letter. She then read it allowed:

The Director of Industry commented, "Well, get a response letter going Elsa." She glared at him, hating to be called by only her first name and without a title. Nonetheless she took the letter and wrote a response in English, rather than the Fiscisian language of Romanian:

We thank you for your concerns. Current suspicions believe this was a communist plot. Supreme Director Ofler has yet to be pronounced dead, but if he does die it may cause a large amount of unrest and a power struggle. He hasn't named an heir, and if he doesn't the country will either return to democracy or it will cause a power struggle. Sorry for such a short letter, we are a bit busy with the assassination currently.

Meanwhile Supreme Director Ofler's life was on the line in the hospital. Soldiers were swarming the buildings, searching for the assassin. They believe the assassin to have been alone, but are unsure. Anyone who doesn't have the appearance of a Romanian or Moldovan is immediately placed under suspicion.

President Alaric Kuhn sat around his desk. He was busy sizing up budgets for the next quarter. We should provide some extra funding to the Navy he thought Although, the Amry could use some updated equipment. He breathed out a heavy sigh looking out of his window, at the city of Nuceiro below. He had enjoyed his past few years as the president, but the budgets always annoyed him. No matter what he did people always yelled at his decisions. I guess that's politics for you He thought. He was interupted by an aid that walked into his office. He had not noticed her until she began to speak to him.

"Sorry to interupt you sir, but there has been an incident."

"No you are not interupting. What has happened?"
She handed him an envelop, marked with the minister of foreign policy's stamp

The letter entitled the circustances at which the leader of the nation Fiscis, was nearly killed. The attack was believed to be funded by outside powers. A meeting had been requested.

Meeting Room
Nuceiro, NUC
1400hrs

In the room sat several men standing around a table. The table showed a display of the assassination attempt taking place. NUC officals had been keeping track of the dictator, yet this was not of their doing.

The Minister of Defense spoke first "As you all know, Fiscis is powerful country. They have kept an iron grip control on a very important trade route and resources. We also knwo they are not the most democratic nation, and they have seen some unstablity in recent years. This could be an oppourtinuty for us, if we act correctly."

He sat down as the Minister of intellegence stood "Mr Vogel is correct. This could be very useful to use, but there is danger. Agents within Fiscis report that government believes that the act was carried out by foreign powers. If we were to attempt a coup, we would have to be careful not to be involved, as war might ensue. Although if another nation were to perform the coup, and get caught, we could help them to crush Fiscis in the hypothetical war. Of course this will take time to plan. I suggest we take a vote, to decide whether or not to become involved."

The vote was held annoymously, with it being 7-2 to plan a possible coup/revolt within Fiscis. Several intellegence officals, and military ones alike left to discuss plans of action.

Elsa Karlmann

The Supreme Director was on a hospital bed. The room was guarded heavily and there were cameras watching. Very few people were allowed in. Elsa Karlmann was one of such and was sitting next to the bed, waiting for him to wake up. Director of Industry was also there. The two had been talking but immediately stopped when Supreme Director Ofler woke up in pain. The Doctor's rushing in, he pushed them away and looked to Elsa Karlmann, saying in a weak voice on camera, "Elsa, will you be my successor?" While at first shocked, Elsa accepted and the video was broadcast all over Fiscisian television. Supreme Director Ofler died only moments later. The now Supreme Director Elsa Karlmann gave a speech to the public on video, this too would be broadcast in the cities of Fiscis.

Meanwhile two Fiscisian soldiers were walking down a slum street when they saw a Romani person, an immediate suspicion. The Roma pulled a gun but was shot in both legs and taken away for interrogation. There he was discovered to be a Bulgarian Communist (Remember that Fiscis is Greater Romania, so Bulgaria is just to the south) and most likely the assassin.

President Billy, which were sitting in his office, readed about the news of an assassination attempt on Supreme Director Ofler. He smirked as he finally were able to try to dispose the Dictator of, because he didn't give political freedom to his populace. He then decided to contact NUC and Antarcteca in order to coordinate the second assassination attempt on Supreme Director Ofler. He contacted both nation by using a telegram, which he managed to know of their plans to assassinate Ofler by using a nanobot to spy on the nations

It has come to our attention that you, Antarcteca tried to assassinate Ofler while you, NUC tried to exploit the situation in Fiscis to turn them into your colony. We tried to telegram you so that we all can coordinate an assassination attempt on Ofler, which i hated because he didn't give political freedoms. Also, we know your intention through our spy nanobots, but don't worry because we can keep your secrets and if you hate it, we can offer you some of our spy nanobots to help you. "From our experience in civil war intervention, foreign powers are going to try to exploit our situation. The prime suspects are NCSU, Gig Em Aggies, and possibly Kendor. I want the military on high alert. In fact if we are faced with an imperialistic force I will expect every Fiscisian, including those present here and myself, to fight and die for the state should you see the enemy. I want a telegram sent out to all nations though."
At this time she was handed a telegram from the Kingdom of Bulanesia by the late Ofler's secretary. Elsa paused and read it before continuing,
"I want a telegram sent to all nations saying that the Fiscisian government is total control, any imperialistic ambitions shall not go unnoticed and shall be fought against with the utmost vigor."
Grand Admiral Rommeloto responded, "Consider it done, madam."

The Bulgarian Communist Assassin had been interrogated and then executed via firing squad. Fiscis had determined the assassin to be a lone gunman.

Fiscis then sent telegrams to the international community as well as an appreciation of Bulanesia in a telegram to them.

When the Kendorians managed to intercept some telegrams secretly and made a copy of it to read, they decided to halt their attempts because this would cause global outrage. President Billy facepalmed, because he wanted the Fiscisian people more freedom. He decided to let Fiscis live as the way they are, but hoped that Fiscis will one day become a demicracy again.

Several men, some of them intelgence officers, others military advisers. Thye had been discussing plans of action againsy Fiscis. Some had suggested a full invasion, others a coup, some a inflitration into Fiscis Politics. After hours of debating the plan was formualted. All of the above would be used in their plan to free Fisicis from the ruling dictator. It was then that a soldier in dress uniform entered the room, carring a slip of paper. It outlined the current situation in Fiscis, and the news of a new leader. This information further complicated the plans they were beginning to set in motion, yet they would continue. Supplies had already been sent to rebel cells within Fiscis, as several operatives from NUC special forces.

Several men sat an empty building. Around them sat make shift bombs, blueprints of several buidlings in Fiscis, along with a list of military and politics members. The men sat playing cards, watching a clock, waiting for their mission. The men where of not of NUC orgin, yet they were supplied with weapons. They carried several KGC-18R assault rifles, as well as several black market weapons, including a sniper rifle. The men sat idealy by waiting for the moment that the Martinland motorcade would pass through their part of the city, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. But that was still a ways off. Else where in Fiscis NUC operatives were touring the city, looking for the best tourist locations...

After finishing a short but heart felt telegram, Supreme Director Karlmann ordered that the military spread to the major cities. The Army numbered at about 800,000 soldiers, although some were deployed in peacekeeping operations elsewhere. She has also ordered that in case of imperialistic ambitions, tourists go back to their home countries. This is of course an exception for world leaders visiting.

Although the government was deeply loved by the people, as the people elected the late Ofler to be a benevolent dictator, the government feared some kind of attack. This new leader wasn't yet fully aware how many Fiscisians would indeed fight and die for their country, but the number was quite high.
