Welcome to Cope Lightning '16! Cope Lightning is an annual Air Combat Exercise for SACTO members and partner nations operating in the Pacific Area of Responsibility, and is designed to improve the skills and profeciency of pilots in air combat. Hosted annually at Andersen AFB, Cope Lightning brings together OSN, OSMC, and OSAF assets together with their allied partners to build vital combat skills that may one day save lives in combat.

Now that others are joining may I inquire into the exact conditions the coalition forces will be facing regarding our base of operations? Do we have a unified airbase or are we sharing carrier space or perhaps we are required to bring our own carriers?

REDFOR and BLUFOR Assets are both operating from Andersen AFB.

REDAIR will launch first, followed by BLUAIR, and the exercise will begin.

I'll be working on the IC tonight and hopefully get it up by tomorrow.

Gotcha, so we'll be engaging only aerial targets? I only ask because I read the scenario and assumed ground targets were involved so the aircraft I sent are not really the preferred A2A airframe; though I suppose it could add to the challenge to use them
