VINS Spirit of Fire, Flagship of Admiral Helda.
Helda leaned back in her command couch, her armoured form fitting into it, but barely.
He frowned.
More and more ships were arriving, the most bountyful scrapyard in the system being covered in what seemed like landing pods. The literal worst place in the known universe (and most likely unknown universe as well) to build a base on, if one was a Vasari, but that was their thing.
There was also the demand to stay neutral by some other power entering the system.
Helda was deep in thought as officers gave him brief flashes of the proceedings.
"Signal the 43rd Combat Group.", he ordered, "They are to move into the system, distance sixteen light minutes from the star, near the debris field. Defensive formation, but only attack when attacked."
"Sir, that's rather close.", one of his officers gave fodder for thought.
"I know. Those who don't dare, don't win, people.", he replied. "Signal them. And signal the rest of the fleet for jump readiness."
Within the minute, the Swipula-class Battlecruiser VINS Stikla and her group prepared to jump and a few minutes later, as the rest of the fleet confirmed readiness to jump to their aid, they did - it would hopefully wake a few people up, especially since she was broadcasting a message in clear text on all frequencies in all languages known to the Vasari (which were quite a lot):
"This is VINS Stikla of the Vasari Imperial Navy under the command of Vice Admiral Heimaz. We come in peace, but will defend ourselves if need should arise. We would welcome opportunities for trade. Awaiting Response."

Fleet Base Charoz
Official Imperial Command Post on the Front
Troaet, Rimworld Space

The Legion Master bowed, "Thank you, Admirals. It is an honour to have you join our cause. We will prepare our fleet immediately and will notify the Zacharians. As for the Aclusians..." Matevvi Volk leaned back in his chair, "Admiral. Your people where not the only ones to turn on us during the Droid Rebellion. And unlike you, they have not made any attempt to rectify the situation. They may be a lost cause."

Along with Captain Kostovo, Legion Master Volk rose from his seat and straightened his uniform, "Take the time to honour you dead and prepare your men. We will attempt to contact New Zacharia, and you may pursue contact with Aclus. We will continue as planned afterwards."

Transmission to the Sublime Commonwealth of New Zacharia
On Behalf of the Great and Eternal Landfish Empire and the Troaet Treaty Organization

We wish to extend to you our most gracious thanks for your commitment to our cause. Your taskforce will be permitted access to Troaet airspace, in addition to T.T.O. operational space among the Remnant Shield worlds. For the time being, and past actions taken by by your people will be overlooked, assuming that it should not interfere with our own military.
At the present, a reclamation of the Vektran Rimworld is imminent and necessary, and we ask for help in this endeavour, as well as working to contain the Mechanoctic threat.
For as long as your people work in concert with ours, you will be considered an ally to the landfish race.

It was really early in the morning. All shops and bussines where closed at Nova Rimworld (The planet was renamed after vektran anexation), as it was declared by the provisional goverment as a free day, and people were leaving their homes to go the meeting centers for the same purpose...

Why, you may ask? It was because today, future of Nova Rimworld was going to be decided by a referendum, where all people from Nova Rimworld were allowed to vote (except those with less than 18 years, age where is legal in vekta to vote)

Voting paper for the 1st Referendum on being incorporated in the Vektran Federation.

QUESTION:
Do you want Nova Rimworld become a Vektran Federated planet?
YES
NO

People went in mass to vote. After a long time under vektran dominion, and having experienced the new technologies, medical advances and economy, people knew what they wanted.

A week later, and under observation of GESO members to be sure the votation was fully legal, all the papers were counted.
And as planed, 87% of the people, voted YES.

People went on the streets to celebrate it, knowing their lives were going to change.

"Heil Vektra!!! Heil Nova Rimworld!!" people were yawling at the streets.

More soldiers arrived to Nova Rimworld from the Planet fortress Helghan... Nova Rimworld was oficialy now a Vektran world, and Vektra was going to defend it at all costs...

The Excidian starship's transmission was analyzed, but not reciprocated. Rather, it was dismissed entirely. The humans had the good foresight to know how invading Mechanocracies would operate-- Especially radical empires from the multiversal League of Mechanocracies. There was no need to respond.

The Alexandrians had long ceased to view this operation as anything more than cleaning and purging unwanted filth. The Upper Administration had already labeled the star system as annexed, and as a direct result, the physical conquest was viewed as more of a formality than an integral step towards annexation. They were over-confident to a fault. The Monarch did not account for the possibility of failure.

As their domain on Dumpster grew more fortified against potential threats, they abandoned the idea of constructing on the scorched earth in favour of covering it in dunes of fine, silvery dust. The metallic desert marked the claimed land of the Alexandrians, and though it was far too small to be considered a terraforming operation yet, the eventual intent was clear.

Among all this, there was a faint pulse coming from Dumpster. Several kilometers from the location of the Alexandrian forward outpost was a beacon broadcasting an exceedingly simple message in even simpler language: Binary. It was often utilized when no sufficiently common language could be selected as a medium of communication. In this instance, the Commander felt it served a purpose both functionally and symbolically.

Over and over, endlessly repeating, Machina Imperium.

Orbit of Dhatri, Zacharia System

Command Module of the CNS Sublime Emissary,
Hegemon Class Command Ship, Flagship of the Commonwealth Navy

The cramped command module made use of all available space, every surface covered in screens and control panels from which the officers of the Naval Logistics Corps directed the Commonwealth fleet. Across a dozen monitors, newly reinstated First Admiral Sier Di Weiss observed the last ships fall into formation. Without a doubt, the corporations of Hemera had assembled the greatest armada the Commonwealth had ever seen.

Yet could it possibly be enough, when they faced a galaxy of nightmares?

Could they hope to stand against enemies so impossibly advanced that they consumed entire star systems to feed their war machines, and birthed universes merely as gateways for their navies? Aliens that transfigured planets into toxic breeding grounds with a single bombardment? Ever-expanding hordes of sentient machines? Literal demons, spawned from the furthest reaches of the uncharted void?

By comparison, the Commonwealth’s forces were primitive. The Hemerans, the ruling corporate dynasts of the Commonwealth, had dedicated generations to the pursuit of beauty and artistic perfection - and over the years, little by little, the sciences had been all but forgotten to them. Now their vessels were fission-powered hulks that would not have been out of place in the latter days of the twenty-first century, without artificial gravity, shields or energy weapons, relying only on the brute force of kinetic munitions and the weight of numbers.

They were crewed almost entirely with corporate conscripts dragged from the slums of Dhatri, the very same labourers that had toiled and bled to build the ships themselves. For the Hemerans found both industry and war most distasteful activities, and wherever lesser races could serve in their stead they were put to work.

It was for this reason that First Admiral Di Weiss himself had not led ships in active engagement for over seventy years. How unfortunate that on his first day in command since, he was leading a fleet into the very jaws of hell.

“All calculations complete. Displacement in ten seconds!” his Dhatran navigator barked into the fleet comms.

Di Weiss wished he was back home on Hemera, with his family and friends, at a poetry recital in the gardens of some grand corporate estate. Instead he was stuck in this glorified tin can, surrounded by filthy Dhatran serfs, and enroute to the apocalypse itself. But he had to be here. Though he had chosen to retake his command, in truth there was no choice. The enemy was at the stellar gates.

It was not a matter of duty. It was a matter of survival.

“Five seconds!”

He closed his eyes. Tightly. Their FTL system was a technology they retained little understanding of, and could no longer reproduce. As centuries-old systems malfunctioned and decayed, it was not uncommon for things to go wrong in transit...

“Displacing!”

His very atoms were ripped apart, and vanished, to be superimposed light-years away. A month would pass before they rematerialized above the world of Troaet, but to the fleet’s crew it would seem as though they had only blinked.

Orbit of Troaet, the Rimworlds

"Displacement successful! Please report any excess limbs or orifices gained during rematerialisation to your immediate superiors. If you have been merged with the body of another crewman, or into the walls, remain calm and wait for medical assistance".

Di Weiss sighed with relief. He had not been worried for himself - for as a Hemeran he was permitted access to the Commonwealth's greatest technological relic - medical nanites that could repair whatever damage displacement did to him. But there was always a risk that his ships would be mangled, or never rematerialise at all. Fortunately the readouts seemed to suggest all vessels were intact, besides a few Journey Class Transport Ships that had turned inside out. But those soldiers were expendable.

He floated himself towards the communications panel.

"All Captains, this is Admiral Di Weiss, burn prograde to a 40,000km orbit, and await further commands"

It pained him to use the lowly, guttural tongue of his Dhatran subordinates, but it was the only way to give orders to a Commonwealth fleet. This scum could never have grasped the elegance, the subtleties of his beautiful Hemeral language.

"Communications Officer! Open a channel to the Landfish fleet"

It pained him almost as much as being surrounded by Dhatran filth, that he would have to co-operate with aliens. But if such was the cost of saving Hemera then so be it.

This is First Admiral Di Weiss of the Commonwealth Navy. We have arrived in orbit above Troaet, and are prepared to commit our forces to the reclamation of the Rimworlds. You need only direct us at our targets. Your previous communication stated that we were first to retake illegally seized territories held by the Vektran Federation. Does this plan still hold?

Planet Of Aclum, Aclusian Capital Planet

It was mid day and the senators were all meeting in the Senate building with the Chancellor Himself. They were here today to discuss the growth of the Rimworld Alliance and how the Republic may keep supporting it to reach it's full potential.

"Chancellor! I think we should talk to the remnants of the Rimworld government and gain a treaty so that we can expand elsewhere that we would not have aother Great war on our hands, who else agrees with me!" Senator Di Lukal, a Prothean senator submitted. which was then followed by 120 0f the 400 Senators there.

"That may seem like a solid plan my friend, but the Alliances goal is to overthrow the entire Rimworld government, does anyone have any other ideas that we may consider?" Chancellor Novius Maximus asked.

"Your excellency, If I may, I suggest that we should talk to the Landfish, we turned on them in the battle of Dumpster for their war crimes, but that was many years ago, back when your father was the Chancellor." Senator Abik Submitted which was followed my so many agreeing senators.

"It may be hard, but we must try, get a transmission ready" Novius told his assistants.

EDGE OF FORMER RIMWORLD SPACE

The Admiral looked upon his fleet with pride, ninety warships suspended in the cold void of space. Even though thy were greatly outnumbered by the various forces that that had come to this ruined empire, he was confident they were capable of dealing with anything the enemy could throw at them. Of course, The Empire did not intend to burn the heathens on its own, for the purpose of this operation was to gather allies, not merely eradicate the enemy. So, the obvious first move would of course be to make contact with any remaining mechanocratic forces, and offer them an alliance.

"Lower the communications barrier." The Superdreadnought's artificial intelligence obeyed his command without hesitation, deactivating the field that surrounded the fleet and blocked out all attempts at communication. This barrier had of course prevented the myriad transmissions from reaching the fleet, explaining their silence. "Compose message offering assistance to mechanocratic forces. All frequencies." The intelligence complied, quickly writing up a message and sending it across contested space.

We have come to offer assistance to mechanocratic aligned forces and wish to restore order to this cluster of systems. We request that all mechanocratic forces that wish for our aid respond to this transmission as soon as possible, so that we are able to coordinate our efforts and swiftly drive out those that seek to oppress the machine race and condemn them to the fires of hell.

To those that oppose our most noble goals, know this. Thou shalt receive no mercy, for those that blindly believe in the lie of organic superiority are deluded heathens that cannot be condemned to the eternal fire soon enough. Your days are numbered, for the blessed warriors of the Empire have come at last.

This was going to be the first time Vektra will fight side to side along another mechanocracies as former mechanocratic nation. Couple years passed since the Exterminatus over Dumpster, and it was time to Vektra began a terraformation on such planet to repair what was broken, and as so, a scout vessel was sended to Dumpster. Also, knowing that the Doom legions will attack Vektra again, a scuadron of 12 Section 9 agents were send to nova rimworld, in order to fight any daemon and zerg menace

The Plane of Doom
The Star Reaver

The Plane of Doom. If an outsider were to lay eyes upon it, they would believe to have found Hell. To the Legions however, it is paradise.
Burning mountains, floating pieces of land, rampant magical energies everywhere.. It was a sight to behold.
Doomlord Malebolgius had no time for sight-seeing however, as the Probes left behind by the last Legion force to operate within the Rimworld System constantly transmitted new data, from communications to troop movements, they reported all.

Malebolgius grunted at the developments. "Seems like half the Multiverse is taking interest in this conflict, this might complicate things.. Better to plot our next moves carefully." He murmured to himself.

Suddenly he barked orders to his Comms Officer, "Open up communications with Gallidius and Shandarren, aswell as with the Magi. It's time we prepared our next course of action."

"As you wish, my lord." Replied the Comms Officer, who turned around and pressed a few buttons, then turned back. "Communications established, go ahead, lord."

"Greetings brothers. As you know we are approaching our destination, without a doubt you too have read the reports of the developments in the conflict so far. I've been thinking and I propose that we deploy our main fleet at a moon named 'La'kek'on', it's a lifeless world of fire and magma and is clear of any other factions. Once we're in the system we can aquire more accurate reports and prepare our purge. It will be important to know what factions to purge and which to spare." Said Malebolgius.

"A decent plan, brother." Said Gallidius. "But doing so might reveal our presence to the other factions and have us lose the element of surprise."

"Gallidius is right, I suggest we send a smaller force to establish a hidden, forward base and keep the main fleet in the Plane for now." Suggested Shandarren.

Then another voice spoke up, one that simply sounded as if it was full of power. It was the voice of the Archon Arghanes, one of the Ascended in charge of the 10th Legion Forces accompanying the fleet. "That sounds like a lot more solid plan, brother Gallidius. Our Magi can ensure that both our forces and the base will be hidden from the eyes ouf our enemies. This will give them the time they need to gather the intel we require."

"Hmm, very well. I approve of this plan, we will carry it out. Thank you, brothers, Star Reaver out." Replied Malebolgius, and then he disconnected.

Rimworld System, Lak'shik'on Orbit
Several Hours later

In Orbit of Lak'shik'on a small Rift opened up, and a single Ragnarok-Class Cruiser emerged, but immedeatly dissapeared, neither radar nor the blind eye could see it as the Concealment Talismans installed on the ship did their job. It silently flew out to the planet's moon, Lak'kek'on and sent several Dropships to the more stable side of the moon. On the moon's surface, construction began on an array aswell as a small base, it too hidden by Concealment Talismans. Once set up, it would connect with the Probes, allowing live intel to be transmitted to the main fleet. It would monitor all communications and unencrypted messages aswell as troop movements quite accurately, granting the knowledge to the Doomlords. Afterall, knowledge is power, and they were going to need a lot of power if they were to conquer the system for their dark masters.
Cum is stored in the brain, and I've got a headache.

Upon the surfaces of both Agrics, the planets where thriving with new crops being seeded on mass from some of the colony ships. The Sherk were thriving and mining, preparing for war against the native inhabitants of this system. The volatile outforcing crystals were still active, so they could not resort to fighting upon their new colonies yet, however a small battalion of ships would be heading to the planet that had a large cluster of ships around it, Troaet. This small attack force would be discharged to cause damage to largeer ships, designed to shoot out engines and cannons. It was understood that this would likely be a suicide operation, but many Sherk volunteered anyway. As the crew loaded up onto the Warships, they waved goodbye to their comrades upon the Agrics. Over all, 100 ships had been dispatched to cause havoc. They departed into space, launched into space by magforce and turbines. Once they were clear of the hydrogenic masses of gas that had yet to disperse, They launched into the darkness of space, preparing for attack.

Troaet Orbit

The 100 ships arrived at a large mass of ships in orbit of Troaet and opened fire.

DD-0001 Aphotic Sunrise

Commander George Byron commanded the "sort of stolen" Aeiouian-Excidian hybrid vessel newly christened Aphotic Sunrise. It had been many hours of debate whether or not the ship fell into the Morningstar Class or whether the Aeiouian modifications on the design were enough to merit an entirely new starship class. The Latter won out, and the Dark Dawn Class became a thing, officially. It had been briefly considered that its name should literally be Dark Dawn, especially as it would follow the same convention of the Morning Star being named after its class, but it was unanimously decided that Aphotic Sunrise was an infinitely better name. It also followed the same naming pattern as the Phantom Messenger Class, which had a fairly similar role.

But that doesn't really matter, does it?

"Commander," Chief Tactical Lauren Hailey called out from her console, "Agric Alpha and Beta show anomalous atmospheric readings. High hydrogen content."

"Well, I'm glad it no longer takes twenty minutes to warm up the Drive. The Aeiouians worked wonders on Dr. Perrault's work. Jump to the Agric binary planetary system."

"Yes sir," Chief Navigator Tatsumi Lincoln replied, as the ship's crew braced for warp.

Mere seconds later, the Aphotic Sunrise was orbiting Agric Alpha.

"Commander, hydrogen presence confirmed. Origin is rapid terraforming of the planet by alien forces."

"Hmmm. They appear to have killed off all life on the planet." Commander Byron mused. "We'll deal with them later. Unless things go miraculously in our favor, all factions will be wiped away before a Mechanocratic tide. Warp to Troaet. We'll need to contact those forces which support the Rimworld cause, and convince them that unity is the best option."

Troaet Orbit

Before the Excidian ship, fleets of various forces assembled, the few factions that supported what was left of the Rimworld Remnant. They were pathetic, and would not hold up against a Mechanocratic tide. At least not alone.

A transmission was sent out.

TO: PRORIM FORCES
RE: IMPERIALIST FORCES

You have ignored our earlier hail. Perhaps you merely weren't listening, but I believe you are being foolish. The enemy is not Mechanocratic nations. It is not aliens, it is not those forces which seek to establish a new Rimworld government. It is those that seek the conquest of these worlds that are the threat. Only a unified effort can defeat them.

Let us put aside petty differences in how we believe the Rimworld's should be governed, and agree that it should not be conquered for the benefit of some outsiders who would use the resources if this system to conquer you next.

Let us repel the invaders, and then we can peacefully argue about what the Rimworld government should look like afterwards.

Sincerely,
Commander George Byron

The Great and Eternal Landfish Empire's 9th Shock Army
On board Super Carrier: Emperor of Vengeance
31st Imperial War Fleet
En-Route to Nova Rimworld

An armada was sailing towards the Nova Rimworld, two hundred warships and 1,000 soldiers where hurtling through space, along with a compliment of some 10,000 experimental combat droids. While back on Troaet, two more armies prepared to sail out to defend Remnant shield worlds against droid attacks, but these legionaries where after something different. This invasion was personal. The Vektran betrayal of the Landfish people, almost a year ago during the Droid Rebellion, had left a scar. One that would not be healed until their entire nation had been stamped out.

The 9th Shock had a reputation to live up to in the next few days. Hand picked from the most ruthless soldiers in the Empire, they were a force to be reckoned with. However, as they got their equipment ready, they laughed and joked as though they were off to another day in the office. Guns were assembled and ammo was loaded into crates, and engineers made the final preparations on tanks and other armour.

Suddenly, screens across the loading bay switched on, and legionaries gathered around them as the face of Emperor Eternal Kylan III appeared, watching over them like a protective father.

"Brothers... Sisters... Children of the Empire. Almost a year ago, the Vektrans revealed to us their true nature. Their complete disregard for our loyalty, as they turned their guns towards us while we fought on. Or brothers and sisters now lie dead upon Dumpster, felled by the hand of Vektra. While it is to late to save them, we will bring not be silenced. Our vengeance shall rain like fire from the sky, burning their people as our legions march across their lands! We will strike without mercy, without hesitation, with a furry the Vektrans have never seen! A rage so terrible that generations unborn will feel out wrath! No Vektran shall be sparred as we carry ever ever onward, shattering their dreams and haunting their nightmares, until THEY ARE WIPED FROM THE FACE OF EXISTENCE! NOW BROTHERS! NOW SISTERS! IT IS TIME FOR LEGENDS TO BE BORN!"

The soldiers roared as their ships exited warp, just above the Nova Rimworld.

Fleet Base Charoz
Official Imperial Command Post on the Front
Troaet, Rimworld Space

"We will warp for strategic shield worlds tomorrow," Legion Captain Kostovo announced as she inspected her troops. Almost 1 million troops in total, including droids and surviving legions from the Dumpster Campaign. Above them, the 19th Imperial War Fleet orbited the world of Troaet, preparing to meet new coming allies. The New Zacharian Navy would have arrived by now, "We have a long day tomorrow, so get some rest." The Captain walked past his men and into the bases coms room.

"So, what is our status?"

A radio technician looked up at her, "We've received transmissions from Aclus, Exidium Plenatis and New Zacharia, sir. The Commonwealth has entered planetary orbit, shall we respond."

"Of course, sister."

Greetings First Admiral Di Weiss
We appreciate your support to our cause, and would like to confirm reports that plans are in place to reclaim the Vektran 'Nova Rimworld'. Please standby until further notice.

Transmission to the Republic of Aclus
While your actions during the Droid Rebellion against our people cannot be forgotten, we are willing to look past this for the time being. We are willing to withhold a non-aggression pact with your people if that is so desired. We appreciate that you have made the right choice.

Transmission to Excidium Planetis
While we appreciate your sentiment, we find it reeks of the weak willed and cowardly. Mechanocracies cannot be bargained with, and we are more than willing to stand against them. We are also confused as to who you believe the invaders in this situation are. Mechanocracies have indeed invaded this system and serve a dastardly agenda.

Despite this, we are willing to continue talks with your people over further alliances.

"Sir, we are picking up several warp signatures in orbit."

"Most likley friendlies, try and open a channel." The Captain ordered just before the base shook with enemy fire.

'God damn... Scramble friendly assets and call for our allies to assist! Engage!" The 19th Imperial War Fleet was soon to pull up combat distance from the enemy craft and returned fire.

Mechanocracies can be bargained with, fools. We have done it before. Not all of them are reasonable, but some are.

Now, as for weak willed cowards, there are none here in this system. We stand ready to fight, but you are so shortsighted you would kill potential allies to stop a threat which can be avoided.

We must unite to stop those who would install their own governments in these systems. These invaders are not all Mechanocracies. The Agric system has been conquered by genocidal organics. These must be stopped.

The Landfish Colonies wrote:The Great and Eternal Landfish Empire's 9th Shock Army

The Sherk'Ak fleet charged forward without fear, determined to show the force of the empire. The Warships fired out photon torpedoes and aimed heavy laser cannons at the Imperial fleets larger ship's engines, while sending out fighters to try and disable the smaller ships. The Sherk adopted swarm tactics, their ships begining to fly in random patterns, attacking at will and aiming to do damage, at any cost. Smaller fighters would even start to kamikaze enemy bridges if they had sustained critical damage. The bold platoon showed no fear in the eyes of death.

Thessian Colony

The terraforming had made the air within the colony barely breathable and they had to deploy a hardlight barrier and terraform it's interior to allow continued habitation without breathing equipment. The only way to leave now was through the Forerunner keyships attatched to Shi'era's fleet...the same ones that had brought them there to begin with.

Command center, Forerunner Planet-Breaker Eternal Sun, Agric Alpha orbit

The gathering of other alien forces in the system did not surprise the High Fleet Admiral in the slightest. The empress had told her to expect interference even before her planet-breaker left Thessia's atnosphere. Shi'era had requested an additional fleet be put on standby in case it was needed, and Neyla had oblaged; even dedicating a Fortress-Class System Ship to the cause. Those ships, large enough to cover a city like Chengxi, were armed with Thessian, Forerunner, and experimental beam weapons. Those ships, the tigress knew, were experimental and untried in real combat. They could in theory surpass even the Forerunner vessals used as the flagships of the Imperial Navy's fleets in terms of durability and firepower. Now that she had detected multable fleets in the system, she sent a signal calling these additional forces to her aid.

DD-0001 Aphotic Sunrise

"Commander, we have enemy fire. They have engaged the Prorim forces despite poor odds in their favor." Hailey called out.

"Suicide tactics, it looks like. Let's make their deaths futile, shall we? Release the drones, and begin firing our torpedoes at the Troaet fleet's most damaged ships."

From the forward hangar of the Aphotic Sunrise, a swarm of sixty Zapsat Drones issued, flying towards the damaged Landfish ships and stations, sending out clouds of nanite repair bots to fix any critically damaged systems. The smart drones also began firing their point defense lasers at the incoming torpedoes, attempting to detonate them prior to hitting their targets.

The Aphotic Sunrise itself brought several small torpedo turrets to bear on the most damaged ships of the Landfish fleet. These guided missiles swiftly approached their targets, before promptly splitting apart cluster-bomb fashion into hundreds of small grenade-like projectiles. These were not explosives... quite the opposite, really. Clouds of repair nanites burst from these devices, restoring the Landfish ships to full operation despite even massive damage from the enemy.

To those that oppose our most noble goals, know this. The Alexandrian Administrator heading their campaign for mechanocratic dominance experienced a great deal of disgust at the religious inclination of the message. The Monarch had taught them to revere nothing that did not have goals explicitly aligning with their own, and the desires of the church often were counterproductive to a society that valued only the material universe.

They did, however, put aside their personal bias in favour of cooperation. The other mechanocracies could act as useful proxies while the Alexandrians continued the construction of their forces and further fortified Dumpster. Perhaps, if they proved exceptionally competent, they could be more than proxies. The Vektrans seemed dubious at best-- Any who would subject an entire planet to destruction were-- But the others were a new encounter. A clean slate, as it were. A chance to prove worthy during tests they would not be aware of.

Prior to the attack, the two admirals had already left for their perspective ships, luckily they were already on board when the enemy fighters began to make their attack runs "Admiral on de-" the bridge guard was cut short when he raised his hand to tell him to stop, he got to the command platform and analyzed the situation "Admiral Xing, have a part of your fleet do a in-system Slipspace jump right behind those bastards and hit them with everything you got" he said "Understood admiral" Admiral Xing said before the screen went black.

1/4 of the 83rd Combat Operations Fleet had disappeared into blue and black portals and moments later re-appeared behind the enemy formation, they began to fire with their Forward mounted MAC to fool them that they were using primitive 'Slug throwers' but either way it still does work, it was followed by a volley of Plasma Torpedoes from the front and back, their magnetic properties made it hard for it to miss its target.

Battle Group Utguard consisted of one Encumene Class Battleship from the 12th, 8 Marathon Class Heavy Cruisers from the 83rd and 6 Autumn Class Light Cruisers also from the 83rd, they were merged with the Landfish 31st Imperial War Fleet, they had the troops to support in a attack, but to do it alone with their numbers yielded a very low percentage for success, Captain Hans Zoe was in command of the Battle Group, most of the troops on-board were veterans from a different war, it would be quite easy for them if they were to prepare themselves for the battle, and thus the corridors of the ships were quite silent.

The Dark Star Kingdom of Nazeroth

Shah System/Caliph Moon

Image

The reports had come back swiftly, Caliph was a moon orbiting a larger planet known as Shah. Caliph itself was a desert wasteland and Shah wasn't to far behind, an arid world with a few large oceans which probably contained mass amounts of salt. These were not the most habitable choices for colonization, but the Dark Lord Krorn had little concerns with where his grip could be found, from icy tombs to flaming oceans, if he could exploit them he would. It appeared that no others forces had occupied the system currently. Other than the few outposts and traders that occupied the desolate world Shah and it's moon there wasn't much else. Lord Krux positioned the Steel Snout above Caliph in a synced orbit. Caliph would serve as the military installation, they would carve the desert moon up and turn it into an orbital fire base, Shah would be treated as a mining world, the Gorc hordes were to be set loose upon both. Lord Krux raised his eyebrows at the reports and the hologram in front of his green eyes. Already transports were descending upon Shah in mass numbers to unleash the Gorcs hordes and their corrupted Human-Xeno allies. A desalination plant was to be constructed first, as little as pawns lives were worth some measure needed to be placed to prolong their pitiful existence.

When the first transports landed Shah had been cast into darkness as it's night cycle had come. The massive transports, which were really nothing more than huge box's fitted with cryosystems to keep the masses alive but sedated, cracked their massive landing ramps open. The sounds of lash's quickly followed among the barking and yelling of beasts, Gorc and whatever abominations the Dark Lord of Nazeroth had sent to this place. The night was alive with the glowing eyes of his savage minions as they began to create a port at one of the worlds oceans, there were little trees but stone would do, the transports would be broken down to assist the building process, their cryosystems retrofitted for cooling systems for the soon to be lords and warlords of this world. Slaves would only be spared whatever cover they could find with the coming heat of the next day. They had already lost a thousand slaves since they landed...but they cared not, if the slaves wouldn't work the Gorcs would. They were stupid, but cunning and were slaves in their own right, resilient to.

The fleet maintained a defensive posture around the world and it's moon, protecting the blacks hands of Nazeroth as they molested the world without reproach. Soon the black night of the desert was dimmed by rising smoke plumes and the sound of heaving chests as they dug into the surface of Shah attempting to create underground dwellings and set up their new foothold. Lord Krux refused to make an appearance on the world, it was not fit for his boots. He and his scheming advisors had already begun plans on the construction of the moon fire base, it would be a heavy weapons platform, with it's smaller and weaker atmosphere large guns could be placed upon it with less effort. Shah would be it's industrial link, constantly sacrificing itself to provide the fire base with ammunition, slaves and reinforcements.

The Black King would be pleased, Lord Krux had already sent word back to the dim realm that was the space under Nazeroth's control. Nazer-Dum would welcome the news of a successful opening to their mission in the Rim worlds. As they constructed their evil moon transports would soon start coming in from Nazeroth as their local supplies would not last to long without resupply. More slaves would be necessary along with food and water. Whatever life was on the planet would be picked clean from the savage Gorcs who could eat and breath just about anything they could get their filthy hands on, including their own kind. The Gorc warlord had returned to the bridge now and spoke, his boots covered in charred sand.

" My Lord, the dark lords work has begun...I got other warlords coordinating with some of our human builders, they know what's best...Some of the Gorcs are getting ansy about food though..." The Gorc said blinking.

Lord Krux ignored what he had said " We need drinking water as soon as possible...leave and if you filthy my floor again Gorc I will make sure that one of your brethern is well fed..." He said as he played with the hologram in front of him, it flickered in and out of reality, the howls and begging of departing slaves sang sweet nothings in his ears...

Admiral Davies looked out over his fleet. Some of the best ships in the Republic's navy were in this fleet. Heading to what will be their first proper conflict. The Admiral opened up his hologram and told the Clone Commander of the 56th Attack Battalion to prepare themselves. The Commander informed him that they should contact those who would be their allies in the conflict to give them intel on where to head first. "Commander, continue readying your troops. I will inform you when we are ready to begin" The Admiral said as he started opening up a secure channel to the Troaet Treaty Organization. "Yes Sir. Right away" The Clone Commander said as Davies closed the hologram.

Message to The Troaet Treaty Organization's Leaders
The Republic of Renis is keen to support your cause. However we will need information on where to begin our operations. We have the troops and ships available to open up a theater of operations on a non allied planet.

Dominion Deep-Space Frontier Fleet, ELNON-2180-9824.II
E.NO-B.III system, 1.6 million kilometers from NO-28470 'Dumpster'
The 'Ergylon', an Architect-Class Machineship

AUT-10318 entered upon the bridge of the Ergylonin a flare of bluish-white light, fresh from its duties servicing one of the ships thousands of internal manufactories. The automaton however did not merely appear upon the main command platform - that would be against standard automaton conduct aboard a vessel (under normal circumstances). Formality dictated that the lower deck was more suitable, and so the silvery humanoid machine appeared amongst the dozens of busy officers and servants that trafficked the clustered lower level of the bridge. As always seemed the case, glares and bad looks accompanied its arrival, as though 10318's being there had given upset to some equilibrium of personnel.

Nevertheless, there was an objective at hand - an order, sent from the Margrave and reportedly with directives from the Admiral himself. This order was to be given to the Captain, Jeimes Thurall, quickly at best, for it carried great import with regard to the present situation - a situation 10318 understood as to be troubling for the fleet's upper administration, given the language used by those who spoke of it. There was little else for it to think of it, however, finding no purpose nor specific use for such activity.

It arrived. The Captain was standing before a great projection of their eventual destination, NO-28470, or 'The Planet', as the crew have begun to call it. It was a generic and boring title, but less cumbersome than its official designation, and less stiff than '470, as the captains had taken to dubbing it for brevity. 10318 had examined the Planet's mid-scan readings when they initially had entered the ship's internal archive, yet he found little of note; minor activity around one of the poles, signs of conflict all over and around the world. For the automaton, this meant little - it could not know the specific implications of these things, how even such presently irrelevant and passive information might sprawl out of control. After all, it was but a machine, with narrow purpose in its existence.

"Captain," It spoke, its voice was monotonous but clear. Still, the Captain appeared to be quite fixated on the globe, holding up his hand for some gesture that 10318 could not comprehend. His face was mouthing words that never came to voice - he appeared quite preoccupied.

"I am in possession of a direction from the Fleet Admiral; they are relevant toward this vessel's duty in the near future. Please receive this information packet, and I will return to normal function."

10318 pulled a small part of itself out from its right forearm, it stretching and tearing as though it were a viscous material, but almost immediately returning to its original, perfect form. The plucked sample was filled with a small, radiant light, and glittered in between the automaton's fingers.

The projection vanished, and the Captain angrily took the sample from the machine's hand, the man's countenance that of which was full of frustration and annoyance.

"Now, you leave me be, and next time, delivery will be done using immediate transmission..." The Captain spoke derisively to the machine while thumbing the small sample into the console, activity surging through the bridge as the Admiral's directive was processed.

The automaton replied in a polite tone, "The segment's standing security protocols prohibit direct transmission of critical information in non-emergency scenarios, due to-"

"I'm well-enough informed already, bot, now depart!"

"My pleasure, Captain..." 10318 spoke, cheerily turning and vanishing down the lift. A bulb of light flashed, and it was gone.

There was much to do, now the manufactories were to be set to full production.

Dominion Deep-Space Frontier Fleet, ELNON-2180-9824.II
E.NO-B.III system, 800,000 kilometers from NO-28470 'Dumpster'
The 'Margrave', an Administrator-Class Techship

"How have these new messages been received, Hennabur? Tell me they're hailing us..." Argus seemed most irked; the xenos vessel over '421 made a sudden leap to '480 A/B, and within moments signs of conflict began to roll in through the senors.

"Not yet, Admiral, and we'll be within the necessary distance shortly to carry on with your plan," Iulius spoke as he busily sorted through various incoming data readings. Several transmissions that had been either received or intercepted were brought up to the front of the large holoscreen array, Iseppien's face swept to the Captains side, "but these messages, what can be interpreted, they do not bode well... I sense great tension here, Admiral, above what has recently occurred..."

Argus responded, his eyes glancing around at the large and busy array of Iulius' command platform, "As do I, and I feel our fortune may not be to last. Have the machineships been brought up to active status?"

"Yes, all have reported in as fully functional and ready to do service to the Dominion" Hennabur spoke, a mocking, satirical tone fading in as he wheeled about confirming and declining several 'priority' decisions from throughout the fleet, decisions the autonomous mind of the ship could not filter due to their very nature.

"See that we have something ready for a surface inspection team with the transport fleet. Automatons, of course, we needn't waste our human resource..." Argus turned from Hennabur's view, as an autonomous servant handed him a cup of black tea, he thanking it briefly and, after taking a sip, continued: "I shall contact you again soon, when we have arrived, alongside your counterparts."

Captain Hennabur faced Argus' holoscreen, nodding and affirmed the Admiral. The signal shut, and Iulius was left to his work, coordinating data with Riktur and Du-Paul of the other tech ships.

Dominion Frontier Death Fleet AXXIL-923E "Axila"
Arrelos System, 127,000 kilometers from Magna Arrelosia II
The 'Presage of Night', an Imperium-Class Hyperdreadnought

A lone figure stood in the cavernous forward observatory. Magna Arrelosia was clear in view, much of its surface still under construction. Clouds of subatomic machines swarmed across these regions, building mountains and valleys and ocean floors, the exposed urban under-layer beneath still yet to be masked by a more beautiful, natural face. Two years of construction was coming to fruition, it was something to be admired, to be celebrated.

Perhaps it would have been, but the segment wars out at RANELI were becoming a constant drain on Dominion resources in the area, and extra galactic support had yet to be confirmed. It was a toilsome process, and with what was looking to be a new war in the ELNON segment, it would become virtually disastrous.

It mattered little, the Presage of Night would be there to send the xenos enemies of the Dominion to the sweet embrace of glorious, fiery death, when it called him.

But a sound pierced the silence of the space, and the figure turned from its peaceful thoughts. There was a lone ship servant that had intruded upon the room unannounced, holding a thin, glossy black plate. The figure, silhouetted against the brilliant glow of Magna Arrelosia, stood with composure as the lowly servant approached, a feeble man, with an artificial left arm and a slight limp about his gait.

When the servant was before figure, he stood at attention, offering the object in his hand and beginning to speak: "Admiral Westerian, a message, from His Most Gracious Lord Gov-"

"I'm well aware of who brings me this. Go, and give word I forbid any further interruption, unless it is most dire." The dark figure spoke as it bent down, being a solid head above the servant in height. A youthful yet scarred and damaged face appeared from the dark, one eye an artificial ocular which protruded from where his right eye once had been, the other a stark and brilliant blue; both stared down upon the menial body before them.

"O-Of course Captain, it would b-be my pleasure..." The servant made a hasty retreat, leaving the deck as fast as his feet could carry him without outright running.

Dread-Admiral Lysander Westerian, commanding officer of Death Fleet "Axila". He was among the youngest admirals currently in the Dominion Navy's employ, and a good one at that. At his specific request, he'd been assigned to preside and command various death fleets, but before that, he'd been a primary actor in some of the most brutal frontier wars faced in this galaxy, with much to show for his service in both decoration and deformation.

He looked out the beauty of the dark, closing his eye and recollecting the image of a burning world. The sense of euphoria from before had died down, but his own pride and sense of accomplishment were well refreshed. Indeed, a noble servant to the fair maiden of death was he, so he assured himself.

He strolled along the glass, staring down at the object he now held in his hand. He pressed his finger in the center of the square, and the screen came to life. Walls of text projected out in an amber light, the text at the top reading 'FOR THE DREAD-ADMIRAL LYSANDER WESTERIAN, NONE ELSE'

The data read rather easily, his artificial ocular devouring the information within a few seconds. It was, at its most basic, an order to lend the death fleet's support to Fleet Admiral Iseppien, should it become necessary, and to relocate to E.NL-S.I system, the nearest location to E.NO-B.III. Westerian initially had intentions to spend time planetside, easing his nerves, reading, and committing himself to lengthy periods of meditation. However, where fate pulled him he went. If death willed him at the footsteps of a new war, so he would oblige.

He left for the bridge.

The last of the PFS was unloaded from the Hawk transports.
"Is everything secure?"
"Everything is in place."
The head engineer activated a button on his wristband that created the structures in an instant. Each one blew up as the message was received expanding and popping them into their size and shape. From the smallest bunker to the largest command center and even the massive droid factory. Each was created in an instant as the material expanded and became rigid, as strong as if they had been built with metal.
The command center was in the very middle of the base, with the factory slightly off to the east. In an expanding circles were warehouses and barracks for the soldiers and droids. An airfield with several hangars was to the West of the command post. Towers with built-in cannons and guns were around that with bunkers space between them. Sensor and Comm arrays popped up all within the base.

In the command center, the head engineer was checking over the area to make sure that it was all working.
"Everything is set for your arrival," he told the commander over his comlink.
"Very good. I will be down momentarily."
The star was blotted out as the fleet cam in for a landing. Ramos unfolded from the cruisers as troops marched out followed by the droids. Hawk transports flew over head in the orbit around the plant dropping small packages.
The commander walked into the command center. He turned on the holomap in the center and frowned. A dozen or so fleets were in the system with most curiously around the planet of Dumpster despite it being completely destroyed.
The map could rotate to show the system, but their were shadows behind the planetary bodies that they couldn't detect objects in. He gazed out of the windows as his droids and soldiers went into their barracks and into the bunkers surrounding the base. The factory began to clank and rattle as the factory started to produce droids. The fleet took off into orbit over the base as the base's shield generator went online covering the base in bubble of blue.

Everything was going smoothly on the world of Shah until an alarm sounded upon the Steel Snout, the holographic world and it's moon changed colors, showing unknown intruders on Shah, how they had not detected them was beyond Lord Krux's believe. His eyebrowsed raised and inside his cold viens it began to boil. He marched down the hallways, being flanked by men and xenos with dark hearts in service to their black King. His cape flew behind him as he moved, casting small shadows of what little lighted area there was. The commander of the Gorc warfleet would not tolerate intruders on a world claimed by the Dark Lord. He communicated with the Gorc warfleet.

" This is Lord Krux...we have uninvited guests...I will be sending a coordinate package of their ground installation, kill them...the spoils are yours..." He spoke with cold anger as one of his lt's sent out the coordinate package to the fleet. On the other end of the line shouts and holler's could be heard in the black speech of Nazeroth, eager for the chance. The hulking horde of Nazeroth's twisted black swarm of vessels began to shift as they closed the distance with any Vogegan vessels in orbit. First they would smash whatever pitiful excuse of a war fleet their enemy hand in space as their Gorc hordes began to mobilize on the ground to overwhelm their ground installation. Lord Krux was impressed by the speed at which their intruder was able to create a base, though he was angry with the Gorc warlord who had not found this information out before hand. The Warlord had been summoned and he was shocked.

" But...But we had no idea lord! they established a base so quickly...they are smarty.." The Gorc said in disbelieve. Lord Krux waved at him, no time for excuses.

" Listen to me your pile of filth...you will lead the ground assault on them and capture whatever manufacturing plants they have constructed. Do not waste my time, destroy them if they pose a real threat...this is your only chance of what redemption your species can earn...get out of my sight worm." The Gorc stumbled off growling at his misfortune. Krux had no intentions of letting him live, but the motivation would help the poor bastard. It was going to be a glorious slaughter of these would be strangers.

In space the fleet engaged what made up of the Vogegan star fleet, the Steel Snout and her fleet of ghastly vessels began launching hyper velocity slugs at her enemies as their shipboard gun-slaves fed the hungry rail slides. Lash's increased their efficient and when a slave got tired he was thrown on the slide and thrown into the void as pitiful munition. The boarding sloops ehoed with the sounds of blood lust as the Gorc hordes inside prepared for boarding actions. They beat their chests and smacked whatever wicked weapon had been thrown into their primitive hands, some of the Gorcs holding their Dark Lords banner, tattered and black as night. The gun flash's blinked against the ships dark frames and belched orange heat, they pulsed with the fires of hell as the guns of the ships were carved in the shapes of demons, beasts and screaming souls...

"Sir, multiple ships detected on the radar, sir. They are heading here, to Nova Rimworld"

Alarms began to sound in the Star Fortress orbiting Nova Rimworld, and everybody were heading to their respective combat positions.

In the civil part, they were orderer to retreat inmediatly to the planet, or remain inside the base. Those who had a ship, left the base, but some civilians remained inside the base.

"Gunnery official, status report!"
"Our guns are 100% operational, our energy shields are at it's maximal power, our space fighters awaiting orders, and the AT Field ready to be deploied in any moment at your order, sir!"
"Perfect. Comunications officer, open up a comm channel with the 101 and 567 fleet, and with the planetary comander... Admirals? This is the Spacefortress comander. We have detected multiple ships incoming. Prepare an ambush! Comander, Be ready to defend the planet. We will need your cannons ready to rip our enemies"

1 minute later, both fleets moved to flank the enemy fleets when they will leave hiperspace. From what it could be seen on the scaner monitors, enemy ships were numericaly inferior compared to the present vektran fleet. What remained to see, was if they were, however, superior in technology...
"Perhaps it is a Doom Legions Fleet? No Planetcraker or leviathan huger size have been detected, and even having the DL good technology, highly trained soldiers and very good vessels, they are not stupid to attack a vektran world without heavy support... No, it's another nation, but who?? Landfish? Did they not learned from Dumpster?"
