They wouldn't have, essentially, any supporters if that was their excuse. So they'd get weeded out pretty darn fast. Believe it or not, terrorists need people to hide among. Otherwise at any sort of slip up, they'd be reported and detained.

That happened. Look up Stonewall in Greenwich Village. Or any of the other times when gay people fought against the oppressive society they found themselves in. They wanted the right not to be beaten up by police on a semi-regular basis, the right to not be essentially cast out of society because of their sexual preferences and kinda didn't like the idea much of getting locked up in asylums.

Weirdly enough, treat a whole group of people like shit and they eventually get fed up with it. Who knew eh?
As an editor I seam to spend an awful lot of thyme going threw issues and checking that they're no oblivious errars. Its a tough job but someone's got too do it!

Indeed. On another note I think after the peace talks begin there will be another significant event. I have not decided yet.

There's no 'siding up' for now, really.

Carcasus is currently only doing aid, Menthi has two governments vouching for control, and a peace conference is to happen in Nanjiwa (Flauc).

Then Jiakros is probably just gonna stick with aid.

You could attend the peace talks. Say you heard about them and wish to help any way you can. Will be nice to have, at least at the start, a neutral party in the affair. Of course then later on you can side with whoever and we go from there.

"Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light."

Best lines ever in Interstellar.

Anyone here seen the film? My favorite OST there is "No Time for Caution".

Hey flauc, I'm hoping to allow people to talk to my team before the meeting, just so we have some interactions before hand, and possibly have some under the table dealings. I just would like your permission in case it interferes with your own ideas of how the meeting will go.

So basically a yes after you've posted a message. Btw, in the IC, all you'll know is I'm having 'meet and greets' with other delegates, will behind closed doors these deals are going on.

Why the hell does everyone know about the communists? I don't think they would have any contacts with people across the world.

Well you're "vanishing" people, so I'd say the following reasons:

1) Communism is an international movement, the Communist Front in Flauc would have ties to other communist/socialist movements the world over. Their members might notice that suddenly the folks they used to talk to in Flauc aren't there anymore.

2) Think about when real world governments decide to disappear a whole bunch of people. Even without evidence of it actually happening, absence of those people is evidence. There's a bunch of people who suddenly aren't there anymore. That gets attention, and quickly - especially when you're talking about a country connected to the internet. Bear in mind people across the world found out about Chicago's "black sites" - and that wasn't even targeted specifically at one particular group - and the people caught up in them weren't killed. Just.... vanished without access to a lawyer or without any paperwork for several days.

Some of you may not know this, but there are celebrations planned across the Peninsula and Caracasus......

The anniversary of the slave rebellion lead by Marduk II (not to be confused with Carosi's current ruler) - El Libertador.

All nations across the peninsula and indeed Caracasus hold this day as a national holiday of liberation from tyranny. Of course, each nation celebrates this day in different ways....

For more on Marduk II, read here

It may do some good, it may not. I don't really know how Malsti will respond. You make some good points but Malsti is significantly less interested in multilateralism than Caracasus.

Just one... minor point Significance - don't worry about changing anything now - and I know I'm guilty of similar myself. Caracasus.

The talks themselves are going to be very interesting....

oops. I think I've wrote it as Caracus for all my posts. Although I may have also misspelled some as Caracas too come to think of it. I'll bear it in mind later on.
