Wars of knowledge. Both sides used espionage and occasionally violence. The USSR captured large parts of Venus. The leader of the KGB; Vladimir Putin had the leader of his time “disappeared”. President Putin collectivized the economy truly, he created vast industrial complexes and created thousands of new planning boards and economic Bureaus. He wrote a book called the Fifth wave of Socialism, regarding the idea that local Soviets would be the planning boards and the people will be the Soviets. All a great idea, but it didn't work. Mister Putin was beaten to death during a civil war he started. Russia briefly fell into anarchy,the war resulted in nuclear strikes and the fall of our colonies on other planets. But all through this, Putin’s system remained stable, his successor raised a vast army and wiped out his opponents. This successor was Joseph Karlov. Lord Karlov as we called him whipped the Republics to work, the entire nation was redistricted, the farms and factories were truly put to work, the army was reorganized, and the imperialists were stopped. Dear leader Karlov reforged the Soviet system. Karlov then resigned. In this he finally accomplished the Soviet dream, 120 years after the revolution, Russia finally felt democracy. The nation was content for 80 years.The Soviet Union looked outside, they stared at the colonies of the other great nations. Russia had none. Our first elected leader; Aliyev, sent out a colonial fleet of 75 ships towards the planet of Venus. They set up a new SFSR with 3 SSRs within it. The Soviet State in Space took 15 years to build. It took 5 presidents to do it and a few trillion rubles. The next president ordered anther expedition to mars, smaller this time, but still great. Once the Soviet Union established a martian colony it reached another time of peace. Ah, those times. In the year 2260, the Soviet Union remained strong. Now the Solar System has entered the Age of Communism, Freedom for Eternity, Equality for All, Justice for All, United We Stand Strong, LONG LIVE THE REVOLUTION.

By 1969, all of Central Europe was incredibly rife with the want to be free from both sides - the Central Union being formed, an in 1991 - the Central Union, previously a 'terrorist militia', turned into a powerful state after freeing Central Europe from both sides after extensive attacks on embassies, military bases, common public riots and demonstrations, and the eventual killing of a Russian First Secretary. The country is named Monikaland, after Monika Reinhart who led the Central Union through it's years of struggle. It had developed over time - trying to rebuild friendly relations with it's neighbours.

They were a bastion of geniuses, and those geniuses and their descendants had four centuries to invent and produce weapons of ever kind. Armored "vertibirds" which could run on recycled materials, power armor designed to allow its wearer protection from anything short of a shell, and flawless plasma weaponry. But Earth, Earth was too costly to gamble their stretched resources. Instead, space... And so the Enclave leadership decided to build a rocket to take the entire population of their country to Venus, and allow the Enclave to grow strong once more. They worked tirelessly on the rocket, and every resource they had was poured into it. Finally it was nearing completion, and two small craft were ready to be launched in order to scout the surface and make sure that the Enclave had everything they needed to survive on the planet.
