The royal troops were headed towards Shanglavi. The forests were lush and one could not know if there were any traps. They had so many allies, there was no need to be worried. Suddenly, camouflaged men from the trees appeared and started shooting. The soldiers were trying to hide where they could.

"Tekkit Armed Forces, Columbian Command, send your troops northwest of Priom Vatra we are being ambushed"

It was the last message from the expeditionary force

The troops had finished unloading when they received the message. Upon hearing it the Columbian soldiers dispatched a platoon of regulars to assist the newfound royal ally. A mix of M5 Folsom carbines and AER laser rifles made up the bulk of the troops weaponry. As they reached the Priomese troops the platoon commander shouted over gun and laser fire "How many of you are left?"

TNS St. Anthony

"General quarters, general quarters, all hands man your battle stations!" Announced the boatswain from the CIC of the light carrier. Officers and enlisted scrambled past each other in the ship's narrow hallways and the marines rushed to get into their combat gear. They quickly grabbed their rifles and ran down to the well deck.

"All marines, report to your vehicles for deployment!" the boatswain said. The brigade jogged down the long vehicle storage area and ran into their respective amphibious assault vehicles, each receiving 20 troopers, 2 drivers, and a gunner. The spinning red light above the deck cast crimson rays across the shiny metal floor as the two massive doors behind the ship opened and the whole compartment filled with seawater. The vehicles drove down past ship and towards the coastline north of Priom Vatra. When they landed on the shore, the back doors opened and the 20 marines came running out, rifles locked and loaded. The heavy tracked vehicles continued driving, as their 20mm cannon and grenade launcher could provide important fire support. Behind them landed 8 light amphibious tanks with their 4.5-inch guns and 4 infantry fighting vehicles with 30mm autocannons and 50 caliber machine guns. They were headed towards the transmission origin in order to give direct support. The marines had ceramic bodyplates and kevlar helmets with powerful and accurate TK-34 battle rifles.

Meanwhile, five modified Mil Mi-8 heavy transport helicopters in CASEVAC configuration flew towards the last known location of the transmission. They each had 12 stretchers, able to evacuate 60 wounded- more if they don't need to lie in a stretcher. They also had a 30mm cannons on their wings and two 50 caliber door gunners who could provide suppressing fire to cover the wounded monarchists to evacuate.

The trapped Royal soldiers were only 1000 in number. Courageously they were trying to withstand the communist ambush. Waiting for the coalition forces.

"Attention! We are only a natal lion left. Please bring more armored vehicles!"

From: emperor of Danniria
To: the Elder Council, Council Chambers of the Elder Council, Elder Castle, Free Lands of the Selkie.

We really appreciate your concerns for our fleet. We should be very careful next time.

The prime minister got off the airplane. He was instructed to be very gentle. On his escort, he continued to the meeting place with the council.

"We've no armor aside from the IFVs!"
The Columbian soldiers, numbering only 30 troops, began to return fire while requesting close air support and one-two companies of reinforcements. Lasers and tracers light up the thick forest as troops called out targets.

The prime minister got off the airplane. He was instructed to be very gentle. On his escort, he continued to the meeting place with the council.

The Prime Minister arrived in Elder Castle without incident, made his way to the Chambers of the Council under escort. Marla, in full ceremonial garb of a Marcach, fully armoured, escorted him again.
She was instructed to be professional.
She was silent, her face neutral and steeled. Her hands were free, the sword at her right hip swinging with every step. Silent clanking echoed through the hallway as she moved, the armor plates clanging.
She gave a nod to the two Tribal Guards at the door, who opened the passage, which had been formerly blocked by two lances. They stood at attention, glaring forward.
Someone must have given a signal, seeing that two more guards opened the door from the inside.
Marla looked over her shoulder, making sure the Prime Minister was still there - he was.
She strode forward with him in tow.
The fifteen Elders were watching their every step. The back wall was lined with people, Foreign Office, SDF, industry, intelligence, all were present.
As she came to the center point, Marla placed her hand over her heard and bowed her head. "Elders, I present to you the Prime Minister of Danniria."
It was the Elder for the Tribe of Antrim, Finnegan Mór, who spoke: "Thank you, my child." She stepped to the side, taking position at one of the side walls, ready to do her duty as a maiden of the Free Lands. The Elders looked at the Prime Minister, watching his every move as Mór continued: "Good day, Prime Minister. Please be assured, that however these talks end, we thank you for your pains and troubles, which you took to come here. Now then... We were told, that you have an important message from your Emperor."

Most of the 1500 marines were working on establishing a Forward Operating Base on the Priomese East coast, setting up tents, radios, and command equipment and fortifying it with sandbags and trenches dug from the beaches and set up several 50 caliber machine guns. The fresh troops were ready for a fight; many of them were veterans from the Halfblakistani Civil War and were highly experienced with survival in intense guerrilla fighting.

Image

The first platoon had the most experience in combat, and included the now-famous first squad. They marched down to the location of the monarchist troops who were pinned down in the intense fighting. They were supported by more agile, mobile armor like the "Jackal" light tank that had an active protection system that could shoot down incoming missiles and RPG's with a shotgun-like blast and had a front-mounted heat emitter to trigger mines before they drove over them.

The five helicopters had arrived at the combat zone. First they faced the incoming enemies and opened fire with their 30mm autocannons and unleashed several dozen rockets into the treeline. Explosions blazed through the foliage and trees fell over from the massive amounts of tiny autocannon explosions. It was impossible to tell where exactly all of the enemies were, but the massive area that they suppressed was sure to cause many casualties. The helicopters then landed, but kept their blades spinning for a quick dustoff. The side doors opened and the gunners opened fire with their 50 caliber machine guns into the brush to keep the enemies in cover while the back ramp opened. One of the troopers inside of one of the helicopters jumped out and called out to the monarchists

"Get your wounded inside! There's reinforcements on the way!" He shouted.

Free lands of Selkie

The prime minister took a long pause before speaking. He was trying not to offend anyone.

"I came here to offer an economic cooperation. We have a lot to offer to one another. We would like to establish trade with you. Please state your conditions "

The Elders exchanged glances.
Mór spoke. They were well resolved, having talked about this beforehand.
"Very well, Prime Minister. Our conditions rather are simple.", the Elder spoke, "The Empire of Danniria and the Free Lands of the Selkie guarantee each other's independence as well as territorial integrety. A military alliance might be included at a later date.
Trade Hindrances for certain goods, which exactly will be discussed later, are lifted.
Free Travel to and from both sides.
Dannirian companies may offer their goods to the Merchant Guilds, but it is up to the Guilds to accept their offers or not. Same goes vice versa.
An exchange of scientific knowledge is initiated by both sides for the advancement of both sides. Technological advancements may be shared for mutual progress.
School exchanges, student exchanges and games in competitive sports are encouraged."
There was a short pause.
"Did I forget anything?" The other Elders shook their heads. Mór smiled. "Well. These are our points for discussion. You might call them conditions, Prime Minister."

"Grenades!" Yelled one of the marines, seeing the grenades rolling at his feet. As he turned to run, they exploded.

"Get back in the vehicles!" Yelled the commanding officer amid the explosions as bullets flew past them. The marines ran back into the tracked amphibious assault vehicles, where the reinforced metal armor could survive small arms fire and explosives. The gunner in the completely enclosed turret and started laying down suppressing fire with their 20mm cannons to relieve the pressure. Grenade explosions rocked the vehicles and shrapnel embedded into the sides, but the soldiers who had made it inside were safe.

"Can you see them?" Lt. Sirvoy, the platoon commanding officer, called out.

"No! They're hiding in the foliage!" Replied the cannon gunner. The light tank at the front of the convoy swiveled around the turret, using its advanced thermal imaging camera to locate the hidden enemies. The "Jackal" light tank was designed specifically to counter guerilla insurgents after the T-100 MBT performed very poorly against the Halfblakistani rebels, being easily destroyed in ambushes.

"There are hostiles in all directions! We're surrounded!" reported the tank commander over the radio. "Load high-explosive! Clear a path in the front!" The loader put a shell into the breech of the gun, slid the block into place, and fired. The high-explosive round blasted away the cover in the front, blasting a path through the communists. The tank gunner popped up into the .50 caliber machine gun and started spraying bullets in front of the convoy, He used his thermal sights to cause many casualties among the insurgents. The AAV behind the tank concentrated its fire to the left and the one behind that concentrated its fire to the right. The light tank fired its main 4.5 inch gun again, blasting back trees and plants. It was unclear how many losses the enemy was taking, but the Tekkitians had lost 3 with 5 more in serious condition. They drove as fast as they could to get into a clearing where the communists would have no cover to hide.

The communist forces had an advantage in need knees but t but they did not possess anti-tank weapons. They have lost half of their soldiers and were short of ammo.
"Retreat!" Shouted the general. So slowly the soldiers started to route.
