Utachia and Alliances

Utachia and the Spanish people have decided to request alliances with others. They have proposed a militaristic, economical, technological, and trade alliance with Helensted, a trade alliance with Curraleigh, a trade, technological alliance with Grandes Terres, and a limited technological alliance with Greatestbanks.

this morning the SS Oranje departed from its port located in Den Helder carrying a total of 22,000 Dutch and Flemish settlers bound for the islands of Indonesia and Borneo in hopes of a better tomorrow far from their homeland.
the SS Oranje is expected to reach Indonesia and Borneo within two-three weeks depending on the weather and the amount of supplies needed for a safe journey.

Prussia Purchases Former Prussian Territory from Poland

For the sum of 2 Trillion Prussianmarks, to be paid over the course of five years, the Prussian government has purchased all former Prussian territory in the Kingdom of Poland. These regions include the province of Posen, South-Eastern Upper Silesia and The Danzig Corridor. This has restored the land-bridge between the capital of Konigsberg, and the rest of Prussia. These areas, while retaining a Polish majority, are historically Prussian, and have a sizable Prussian population.



The map denotes major areas where the goal was to restore Prussian control. Nordschleswig and the Polish territories have been restored, while the German speaking areas of Belgium are once again part of Germany. The province of Alsace-Lorraine is now on the mind of the Prussian government, with feelers being extended about a potential purchase.

Low Oil Prices-Sustainable?

Today, oil has been pumped to the record low of $37 per barrel, below the $40 mark. The oil industry seems to think that it's opponent, hydroelectric power, is doomed. It is a great boom not only for the automobile industry, but for all forms of transportation, for shipping, for airplanes, for consumers. GDP growth has been boosted by about 0.8%, slightly above previous estimates. Oil has been exported in the thousands of barrels to our allies. Yet, can we sustain such prosperity?

In the Last Frontier, the unemployment rate has risen by 3%, and Chevron has recently cut 3000 jobs. Oil production, however, is continuing to rise. This will inevitably increase unemployment and decrease tax revenues even more. In the 1926 Fiscal Year Q1, tax revenues dropped nearly 23%. The state of Alaska has about $70 billion in savings, however, and it seems to be alright for the future. Yet, one should never take such a thing lightly, for danger is just around the corner.

In the land of Dixie, oil production has increased 45%, yet again, average unemployment for the oil producing region has nearly doubled to 8%. Chevron, Exxon Mobil, and Conco Philips all cut jobs, in total cutting 20,000. This was to stabilize prices, yet it did not work. Oil production actually increased slightly and prices continued to fall. Chevron's profit for 1925 Q4 was -$500 million, the first time it was in the negatives since the year 1908. Texas has been hit particularly hard, and has had a state budget shortfall for 1926 Q1 of $150 million, the first shortfall since the Great Recession of 1901.

Civil unrest is also becoming a big problem. Crime in the state of Alaska has increased 76%, mainly in the form of riots and protest by laid off oil workers. In West Texas, crimes increased 106%, and riot police were deployed by the State Government. Nearly 75 people were killed and 10 were wounded during these riots. It is unlikely that they will be silenced so easily.

The debt of the average domestic oil company is nearly 100% of total value, and bank loans to these companies are becoming harder and harder to obtain. Credit is drying up dramatically and Chapter 11 Bankruptcy is seriously being considered by many oil producers.

Meanwhile in the North and West Coast, most are happy with this. These states hardly produce any oil, and lower prices mean less cost for manufacturing and shipping and trading operations, which is in all ways a net benefit to these areas. Yet a great divide seems to be occurring, between the North, West Coast, and Industrial Belt, and the Last Frontier, the Midwest, and Dixie.

Riots and Serious Unrest Throughout the Nation

Overall crime has increased 189% in the nation. This increase is being led by the oil producing regions, particularly the South. In the city of Orlando, rioters took over the city and held the Mayor Hostage. The Yankee National President, a former resident of Vermont, sent riot police to violently quell the uprising and restore order.

In Atlanta, Georgia, 2 people were killed as the local police violently put down a strike by fired oil workers. Nearly 20 people were wounded in just one day.

Laid off oil workers and their families are violently protesting throughout the country as their wages disappear and they become homeless. Civil run rest is at record levels. There are even talks of a full scale secession by the South and Alaska. The government is looking to stamp this out.

Thousands of Guns and Millions of Dollars sent to German-American Fascists in the Central USA

Following increasing civil unrest, the Prussian government has sent through Canada several hundred thousand rifle rounds, millions of US Dollars, and German-American agents to promote the cause of Fascism, and to help use the financial crises caused by the Great Slump of '25 as a springboard to a third, Fascist, party in US politics.

The move has covertly supplied upwards of what some estimate to be easily $15 million dollars, and around 50,000 Mauser K98k carbines, as well as upwards of 200 MG-21 machine-guns, and allegedly even a 3-inch mortar, smuggled in on a rail-car. The result is that across states like Minnesota, North Dakota, Montana, and other states with high American-German populations, Fascist paramilitary groups have begun to spring up, blaming the economic recession on ''External Communist threats'' and calling for a national reconciliation against the people that caused the economic slump.

Asleau Captures Libya and Tunisia.

After a few months of fighting, Libya and Tunisia have been seized. Troops have been congratulated and come home as heroes, and heroines. The total number of troops lost is approximately 20,000. A good fight was put up by the countries, but in the end, Asleau prevailed.

New Election Called

In order to remedy the terrible situation currently occurring, a new election was called for. The Presidential Race was extremely close, or so it seemed. The polls showed a two way race between the Republican Candidate Andrew Tarding and the Incumbent Centrist William Perot. Yet, the polls were completely wrong. The wealthy, promising Republican Candidate won a decisive victory in the Presidential Race, winning 65% of the vote.

His campaign was strongly emotional, involving such statements as ''building walls around both of our borders to make the country great again'' and that he ''had a life that wasn't easy, and he started off with a small loan of a million dollars'' Yet, despite these statements that seemed like gaffes, his victory was decisive, no doubt about that.

Already the economy is feeling the positives of his election to the presidency. The recession which the economy entered into in the last Quarter ended with a positive growth rate of a record 8%, mostly due to the Corporate Income Tax Cut from 30% to 26%. Luckily for the wealthy oil states, production was finally cut, and prices rose to a stable level of $75 dollars per barrel. The small rise in Fascism that occurred in several bordering states ended quickly, with most of the former fascists getting employed in building either one of the walls on our borders. The small rise in Communist activity that occurred mostly in Oregon was also suppressed, although much more brute force was used than thought needed.

In the Parliamentary Election, the result was decisive as well. The Republicans, mainly based in the Northeast, expanded their support nationwide, particularly in the Great Lakes region. In the Parliamentary Election, the Conservative Republicans, calling for a foreign policy supportive of Helensted and of internationalist Republicanism, obtained a whooping 89% of the vote. The Liberals, the unpopular Centrist party of the current incumbent, obtained just 9% of the vote. The remaining 2% went to the tiny Left-Wing Party ''New Democracy'', which failed to surpass the 5% threshold mandatory for seats.
Parliament now has 267 Republicans, 27 Liberals, and 6 New Democrats.

With this new government, the economy recovered. GDP Growth has been restored, and the riots and civil unrest have finally calmed down. Crime has declined 200%, more than it first increased, and stability and order have been restored. The oil state of Alaska has obtained a budget surplus of $17 million dollars, while average unemployment in the Midwest has fallen to just 3%, and in the South it is just 4%. The nation has been restored, the Communists are gone, as are the fascists.

The Town of Ede captured by the Arnhem Prussian Youth 2nd Jungen-Gruppe

Roughly thirty members of the Prussian Youth, Prussia's much more militarized and regimental version of the ''Boy scouts'' walked into the town of Ede, armed with three training rifles and a dummy grenade, forcing the local garrison to surrender.

This was provoked by the GNV declaring war on Prussia, and the 2nd. JG, who were on a hiking trip West of Arnhem, seized the town, which was then, after being occupied for nearly four hours by thirty youths, the oldest of them only fifteen, relieved by the SS Totenkopf.

The Foreign Ministry Unveils its European Ambition

A representative informed us of the Foreign Ministry's plans to make a tour of Europe's capitals to entice world leaders to open ties to the kingdom. Frustrated and feeling ignored by the other leading nations in the world, the Kingdom of Javoul has redoubled her efforts to entice other nations to recognize its independence. This comes not long after the coronation of King Felimora whose grandfather formed the foundations of the Javish state. Formed in the region of the Gambian River, lacking recognition in the past, our great nation has proud roots in the tradition of our ancestors of the Courlanders who settled at the mouth of the Gambia under the direction of the wise Duke Jakob of Courland and Semigallia. The King later made an announcement on independence day declaring his ambitions to bring newfound prosperity to Javoul for all Javish citizens, speaking both Latvian and Wolof.

this morning in Den Haag the states general voted in favor of declaring war on Prussia as a result of past border disputes concerning the Eastern Provinces an area previously under Dutch control now ruled by the Iron fist of Prussian aggression.

the Civic guard launches a massive counter attack

this morning at dawn 1,000 Infantrymen from the 7th corp ambushed members of 2nd Youth group near the town of Ede in an attempt to recapture the town and push back the enemy advances against our soil.
under Albert Van Jaager the 7th corp managed to cut off enemy troops before they could arm themselves killing 10 and wounding 58 Prussians half of them under 18 years old.

all over the world our Prussian foes claim to be disciplined and civilized among the nations of Europe with a military capable of destroying our glorious Republic by force of arms however such claims produced by the Prussian government are nothing more than fabrications made self evident when Prussian Youth were fired upon by the brave defenders of Ede which resulted in heavy losses for the enemy.

knowing all too well that these children were blindly obedient to the state our foes sent these armed hordes to be killed by the Civic guard in order to humiliate the Dutch Republic in its fight to remain free of enemy oppression.
