The Fourth Reich.[PMT/GD/Closed]

Red Star Union, Outskirts of the Kremlin District, New Impen,
Central Eastern Dienstad, 4 hours before Mokan - PMC RSU regime collapse.

New Impen was completely transformed by the time fighting ultimately reached the "Kremlin District" which housed the Kremlin facility where the puppet dictator left behind to rule what was left of communist rule in the RSU, sat back and played speeches of old and made new ones which he used to voice propaganda and morale for the remnants of the Unionist Red Army, the mercenaries employed by Mokastana, and Mokan advisors. The outskirts of the district was a battlefield, fortified dug in positions of the defending forces and more solid positions amongst the rows of buildings and homes. The Black Star Militia army that assaulted the capital along with Ordenite forces were fully utilized the most in the brutal street to street fighting. BSM forces had endured enough hell already in the struggle for the politically prized target and the last remaining bastion of resistance for the enemy. So when the District fell under siege by Ordenite and BSM forces utilizing heavy mechanized and armor forces, a ferocious battle erupted with the last radical elements of resistance fighting a last stand against their overwhelming enemy.

The last remaining strokes of the war which was the gruesome battle in Gryaznaya to the ever more prevalent New Impen. The fascist cause had taken a decent beating from the war although the communist losses were far grand then the petty losses suffered over the course of a year's worth of fighting the communist threat. Bombed out buildings and homes, rubble littered streets and the prevalent sound of a loudspeaker and the roar of artillery and explosions, booming aircraft tearing through the skies filling with anti aircraft fire. The once blue sky had capitulated and darkened due to the increasing amount of thick black smoke from the raging fires of combat. Heavy armored and mechanized forces from the BSM and Ordenite armies hit the district defenders hard, heavy artillery fire and the aggressive tactics from the BSM and Ordenite Army and SS proved to be enough of a blow to allow the BSM to take the initiative and flank the enemy once entering the hole in their frontlines. The Ordenite army and SS units continued the fight giving the URA and PMCs a fight to remember as brutal combat raged in the District.

The finishing blow for the crumbling regime was when the BSM overran the Kremlin defenders and poured into the extravagant building seeking out it's dictator, General Stukov, a ethnic Mokan none the less. The capture of the General was a crucial objective in the battle of New Impen and his arrest by BSM forces was great news for the BSM-Ordenite resolve. Once the Kremlin had been thoroughly searched and declared secure, the battle was over and so was the war, so everyone hoped. Their was a abundant supply of native prisoners of war and foreign prisoners such as the mercenaries and Mokan "spies". Immediate celebration was taken by the victors with parades of the BSM and Ordenite forces throughout the war torn ruins of the former capital of a now destroyed communist regime. The future supreme leader of "Kashubia", Kendrov even flew out to the ruins of New Impen following it's capture. The former leader of the RSU regime was publicly humiliated and paraded before civilians, then being publicly executed by hanging it was a propaganda victory that the Ordenite Reich had finally gotten it's hands on a Mokan and it had thousands more as prisoners of war.

New Impen, Northern Kashubia,
Central Eastern Dienstad, 9 weeks since RSU victory.

Nine weeks since victory was declared over the former 'Red Star Union' confirmed so far as the last bastion of communism in the Dienstad region. Distant cracks of gunfire in the distance as the overall sound of engines roared through the tight suburb streets littered with burning remains of houses and other buildings. The casual explosion erupts as the column of Macabeeian manufactured armored vehicles made it's way towards the new front lines in the ruins of New Impen, the Black Star were now focusing on the elimination of the newly formed armed gangs and militias that were created in the capitulation of organized armed resistance. The Ordenite Army and SS were also heavily involved in the fight against the armed gangs and militias. Soon enough BSM troops flooded out of their armored vehicles and begun engaging in combat with their new enemies. What buildings left standing in the aftermath of conventional warfare became havens for the new underworld of resistance against the Kendrov regime. Sporadic fighting regularly ensues as policing action is taken to the fullest extent by the occupying forces.

Large portions of the city are left empty due to the drastic decrease in the city's population due to the brutal fighting and the outbreak of Varathon blood fever. The Ordenite Army did it's best to exterminate the spread of the virus, conducting massive sweeps through infected neighborhoods and extinguishing it in fire. Rotting corpses of those that died litter the city in abundance as volunteer citizenry and BSM volunteers helped gather up the dead from off the streets and transport their corpses out to proper burial grounds. BSM police squads roamed the entirety of New Impen gathering any suspected criminals that they'd come along for transportation to a holding facility. Since the beginning of the winter season it has snowed across the northern half of the country, New Impen received plenty of snow as survivors still living in the hollow remains of their former capital city worried about warmth and shelter to survive the winter. New Impen similarly to Gryazanaya were on in-definite martial law and by the evening all civilians had to be in their homes or suffer dire consequences.

Food supplies and clean water were barely reaching the city as Ordenite logistics made sure enough food supplies reached the city so it's remaining populace didn't starve to death. Several buildings were renovated quickly, those that were still in-tact and used to distribute the food rations the civilians would receive now every day. Large amounts of enemy equipment and arms in the aftermath of the last battle were left un attended and in plain view as the Ordenite and BSM forces regularly confiscated such weaponry whenever it was found. There were now in total within the newly declared 'Kashubian Republic' at least 3 million Ordenite soldiers and personnel, construction was already beginning for new military barracks that would house permanent contingents of Ordenite forces.

The Ordenite Navy contingent in the waters and ports of Kashubia would vastly grow in numbers for reasons of national security and constant fears of outside aggression being possible. Construction as well was already in the works for modernized harbors and sea ports for the Navy and future commercial vessels. The behind the scenes nature of the still on-going efforts of the Einatzgruppen and local security forces to eradicate the population of it's more hostile elements including it's intelligentsia and other undesirables. Since it's beginning, the effort has killed over 428,051 people and was predicted to grow in the near future as this effort had to comb through nearly four billion people. Although soon Kashubia would see new changes brought about by actions and events taking place endless miles away across many oceans.

Nuremburg, 'Deutsches Stadion',
United World Order.

Hundreds of thousands flocked to what has been called the 'Deutsches Stadion' or German Stadium which even in name has been preserved due to prevalent historical reasons. The magnificent structure which was completed for the 8th annual Party Congress in 1945 and further renovated in 1974 was a horse shoe shaped stadium made of a stone foundation and styled to Greek architecture could hold hundreds of thousands for speeches conducted by various party officials. Now once again it's seats are choked filled with eager listeners as this annual Party Congress would signify the beginning of the proclaimed 'Fourth Reich'. State media reporters flocked the stadium prepared for what would be a historic convention of the Party Congress due to what was at hand and proclaimed officially with the beginning of the 'Fourth Reich'. A seemingly peaceful transition back to a National Socialist mind and environment which would be credited mainly to Oswald Grossmann the newly crowned Reich Party Fuhrer which put him at the head of the Reich Party and it's affiliated organizations and programs along with any matters and affairs concerning the Party.

Of course also in attendance was the Fuhrer himself, Christian Richtofen who over the last two months got to know Oswald very well and was now shaking hands and warmly greeting him as a fellow friend. They both were dressed for the occasion although it was some what chilly weather wise due to winter being in full swing although it hardly affected the generally smooth weather conditions. Flanked on either side by RSSA security personnel the two leaders approached the grand like stage from which they would address the masses that packed the stadium. Standing side by side the two leaders of the newly proclaimed 'Fourth Reich' waved and smiled as the hundreds of thousands in attendance cheered and saluted to them respectfully. Those in attendance, majority being members of the Reich Party that come from across the United World Order annually to participate in the Party Congress.

"Members of the Reich Party..." Grossmann begun. "Honored guests." He looked to Richtofen flanking him to the right before continuing his speech as Reich Party Fuhrer.

"It has been a long time coming but with our sacrifice...our iron will and our perseverance through unshakable odds." Grossmann continued. "The Fourth Reich is now upon us!" He said with a strong booming voice as the massive crowd surrounding him roared in cheers as he waited for the crowds to become silent before continuing. Richtofen looked at Grossmann as he continued his speech, he knew this was something that had to be allowed for the better else he wanted to possibly risk civil war or a coup against him. There was plenty of justification for the Fourth Reich and the return to National Socialism due to the pacification of the last communist bastion in Dienstad and the growth of the UWO across said region as well. Public opinion over the last months had been ever more growing to support the National Socialist cause as eventually Richtofen was visited by Grossmann himself at his home in Berlina and was told of what inevitably needed to happen in order to avoid incident.

Not much else could have been done to prevent what would happen over the two months he got to know Oswald. Which brought about the Fourth Reich and officially split the labor of being Fuhrer between him and Oswald although Richtofen had his definite doubts with Oswald now given control over the Party which were a essential fabric of the State and country. Richtofen had even gone to lengths to ensure his own personal bodyguard units were loyal strictly to him as to avoid being possibly assassinated. Paranoia had taken a toll on Richtofen's mind since, with the sharing of powers and with how Grossmann had risen in the ranks to even allow this to happen made Richtofen speculate anyone who he didn't personally know as someone that could possibly betray him. He of course kept up his typical appearances to the public and fellow government and party officials as to not rouse any suspicions from the RSSA or others who were close to him.

Grossmann finished his speech the crowd roared in applause and cheers as Richtofen clapped as well nodding to him with a smile as they both saluted the crowd before them and made their exit.

Qadesh, South Panooly.

In the recent months especially during the conflict in the near by RSU, South Panooly had been peacefully continuing to shape its self into the image of what the Ordenites and white panoolies wanted. Racial segregation was once again reintroduced to the populace as it was successfully implemented throughout Qadesh the de-facto capital of the Free Republic. The segregation was apparent in all fabrics of South Panooly society as it was ensured by the government that White and colored would be completely different from each other in all ways. It became even more apparent once the reforms in education were put into effect, white students now generally studied and were geared towards white collar jobs while the coloreds were educated and geared towards blue collared jobs and were mostly being prepared for more labor driven work. Due to South Panooly's low fertility rate in white panoolies, Ordenite men which were soldiers stationed on the coast were introduced to white Panoolie women in order to increase fertility rates. A year having already passed the first new generation of white panoolies were being born or about to would soon follow with more generations as the new birthing program proved to be successful.

In the rural jungles of South Panooly and in the cities the South Panooly Defense Force was now the sole protector of the country. Although Ordenite forces remain in country safe guarding the extravagant naval bases and harbors it's Kreigsmarine use for naval supremacy. The South Panooly economy was surely beginning to benefit from the Ordenite led mining operations which extracted millions worth of rare minerals of all kinds. Infrastructure was the topic on every government official and civil servant's mind as the South Panooly government had announced recently that vast infrastructure projects would soon take place, new roads and highways , even trains were to soon lead South Panooly into a more modern age.

New Impen, Suburb district, Northern Kashubia.

The Suburb district of the former capital city now in ruins from two months worth of fighting was a shell of it's former self. Although the war it's self had ended a month and a half ago, armed gangs and communist militias still plague the former communist capital. The continuation of fighting in New Impen had started five weeks ago with Ordenite forces and BSM forces being continually harassed by communist partisans and armed gangs that formed in the chaos before and during the siege of New Impen. The Black Star Militia had since the beginning of the conflict and to it's end had grown largely due to the populace's support of Pavel Kendrov and their distaste of communism. Currently the BSM as a fighting force numbered now at 970,401 men and had proved their worth in multiple battles with the Unionist Red Army, the Mokan mercenaries and now partisans. New Impen and Gryazanaya were both now under the explicit control and jurisdiction of the Black Star Militia and their pacification would depend on their success as the Ordenite Wehrmacht were more concerned with securing their gains in the war and ensuring that the Mokan forces and remnants of the URA in the north were kept in check.

A large factor in the success of the BSM in combat was the choice of purchasing and using Macabee manufactured weaponry and equipment, since Kendrov's war was being entirely funded by the Golden Throne in most cases while the Ordenites contributed their own way in liberating most of the country. The Suburb district was a expansive stretch of the city's suburbia that in the past was home to millions upon millions of citizens and refugees along with foreign and native combat troops prepared to wither the Ordenite onslaught. Now in the aftermath of the conflict that took so many lives the population of the entire city was no more than half a million 'survivors'. When the VBF rampaged through the city of New Impen taking thousands by the minute under its disease and noticing that social and civil order was breaking down due to the impending Ordenite onslaught and the bad handling of a refugee crisis, armed gangs rose to take control of whatever was left and fighting would soon erupt between the gangs and militias over vital needs such as food and clean un-contaminated water and even shelter.

When conventional fighting ended in the city of New Impen and more guerilla style warfare became popular, these gangs and militias swelled in numbers with survivors from the URA and the mercenaries that weren't killed or captured in the fighting when the city was proclaimed liberated of communist rule. A SOV.17 Ejiard Infantry fighting vehicle of Macabee origin advanced down an empty street littered with trash, empty bullet casings of different calibers and debris. A flag with a black background and a red plastered swastika fluttered in the wind as it was perched atop the vehicle, following close behind it was a platoon's worth of BSM soldiers with their Hali-42 assault rifles manufactured in the Golden Throne. Fighting in the Suburb district had picked up recently after a improvised explosive was used to ambush a patrol that was moving through the district sparking the BSM to move several divisions in order to snuff out the partisan threat.

"Partisans, surrender yourselves to the Black Star immediately and you will be spared" A loud speaker projected a message throughout the area in an attempt to subdue them without bloodshed. The SOV.17 rumbled forward as it's dual caliber gatling gun turned left and right scanning for anyone hiding in the surrounding houses. The pitter patter of automatic gunfire suddenly echoed through the area as the SOV.17 stopped in it's tracks and the platoon split up looking for cover in the surrounding houses. The gatling gun rotated forward and then a little to the right aiming at a house with a partially collapsed roof as the gunner within the Ejiard switched the caliber to 25mm and squeezed the trigger letting off a burst of 25mm rounds from 3 barrels. A RPG 7 projectile nearly misses the SOV.17 as the vehicle abruptly backs up as the gatling gun let off another burst of 25mm in a different direction towards the enemy.

Suddenly a small group of partisans further down from the mechanized platoon burst out of a house heading across the street, automatic fire picks up as the platoon fires at them with .221 rounds catching three of the partisans in their limbs causing them to fall over as their comrades make it into the next house. The SOV.17 once again moves forward this time with supporting infantry on either side as it advanced towards the three bodies laying in the street, an offer of surrender is given before the three were shot by a BSM soldier. The SOV.17 halts outside of the house where the other partisans fled into it's gatling barrel turning towards the house as the gunner flicks the caliber of choice to 35mm instead of 25mm. A burst of 35mm out of the other 3 barrels makes quick work of the front of the house and it's interior, the accompanying troops storm the house as they search through it. A partisan is led out forcefully with his hands raised high in the air, the only survivor as the others were found sprawled out around the inside of the house.

"Partisans, surrender now and your lives will be spared. Surrender your arms and your lives will be spared..."

Büro des Reichskommissars für die Festigung des Ordenite Nation

ATTENTION FOR THESE EYES ONLY: SS Race and Settlement Office, Main Welfare Office for Ethnic Ordenites, Reich Ministry for Occupied South Panooly.

It has come to the attention of the Reich Fuhrer and the Reich Party Fuhrer along with the Reichsfuhrer-SS with the formation and proclamation of the Fourth Reich that the issue and integrity of the Ordenite Race is once again at risk. Over population is beginning to stricken the Fatherland as the estimated population of the Fourth Reich is swelling to almost 10,000,000,000 persons and if not acted upon crucial natural resources could run dry causing a major crisis within the next decade. Thus as decreed by the Reich Fuhrer and Reich Party Fuhrer in conjunction with the Reich Commissioner it has become necessary that the territory of South Panooly must be organized and fit for lebensraum and that this effort must be coordinated at the most best sufficiency between all our agencies within the Reich government less we wish to face the coming crisis's in the coming decade. Plans for the coming Lebensraum have been sent to all appropriate offices addressed in this message.

Central Province, South Panooly.
On the cusp of the New Year, the "Panooly Peoples Army" starts a sudden ferocious offensive throughout Central South Panooly...

The Central Province as it was referred to was a geographical term for the most center part of South Panooly. Thick mostly thought to be uninhabited jungle was what made up the 'Central Province' and was the attended target for the South Panooly government's infrastructure and transportation projects but now those plans would come to a grinding halt once it was reported that a large group of armed colored Panoolies had taken over several villages in the Central Province and had engaged in reported heavy fighting with SPDF forces in the province. The SPDF's presence in the Central Province was little due to how uninhabited they once thought it was, no more than a single division was stationed in that area. The offensive had been a plan that had been orchestrated and planned for months on end with the gathering of enough munitions and armaments looted from still undiscovered Templeton Army ammo depots and collaboration with former high ranking Templeton military commanders who turned guerilla fighters and fled in the aftermath of the Ordenite invasion into the deep jungles to wait and plot their next move.

Now on the eve of the New Years the growing resistance movement had finally showed it's teeth and claws. With the amount of time the growing resistance movement had to prepare for such an offensive it had amassed over 2,500 armed guerilla fighters trained by former Templeton Army commanders and officers. The amount of armaments and ammunition that had been gathered for this moment would be able to last them for almost an entire year if used appropriately and that it wouldn't be destroyed by the inevitable aerial bombardment that was to follow such a move. Unlike the rebel movement in the northern reaches of Holy Panooly that was made up completely of coloreds fed up with the Templeton regime, this "Panooly People's Army" was bi-racially unified under the ideology of Karl Marx. In the initial fighting between the PPA and the SPAP and responding SPDF forces the guerillas launched unmanned car bombs against local police stations and conducted street by street fighting against local police forces and arriving Army units.

Within the first few hours of fighting the SPAF immediately scrambled what fighter bombers it could as CAS and general airstrikes begun against PPA positions in the Central Province. Support for the PPA was obvious as the SPDF and SPAP tried to take back the villages taken by the PPA, common villagers barricaded entrance roads and even took up arms for the PPA as fighting would continue eventually into the New Year it's self.

Deep Jungles, Central Province, South Panooly.

Sporadic automatic gunfire and explosions echoed in the vast jungles of the geographic area known as "Central Province". Thick black smoke rose in the distance as the sounds of war took the jungles by storm as the PPA engaged In bitter fighting against the SPDF and SPAP in guerilla fighting. Armed with a TK-60 assault rifle a colored PPA soldier advanced through the jungle brush with a handful of fellow PPA comrades as they closed in on a government held village which was coming under assault. On the way they passed make-shift mortar positions where QR120's fired off on the village causing numerous explosions and damage. Coming out of the jungle brush the rebels fired off their TK-60's and GLM-83s at the defending SPDF and SPAP forces quiet sporadic and reckless although it did give suppressive fire which allowed them to throw themselves onto the village defenses. Stationary armored vehicles laid down fire on the rebels with heavy machine guns and 30mm fire attempting to hold the tide against the rebels. PLR-4 and PLR-8's soon begun to stem the amount of armored vehicles as the SPDF's armor was being heavily damaged or completely destroyed by rocket launchers.

Once the PPA begun to storm the village presumably from all sides as they would typically surround targeted villages before advancing on them ensuring no escape for any defenders. The SPDF and SPAP forces left in the village took to house to house fighting as within the hour the PPA would eventually snuff them out of their positions either killing them outright or because they surrendered. Once the village was secured the prisoners they did take were systematically executed by the PPA and due to the overly present racial divides in the country, the white soldiers that did surrender were decapitated.

Qadesh, South Panooly.

The capital of South Panooly was on edge as of late due to the outbreak of fighting in the deep jungles of "Central Province". Not only had fighting broke out there but also in several other areas across the country with a variety of armed groups making their stake in the fighting. The most immediate threat were the PPA or Panooly Peoples Army which was aligned with Marxism a vile ideology that has been the enemy of the Ordenite nation since it's war dreaded past. Other groups consisted of communists, religious fundementalists and ultranationalists, the nearest fighting in correlation with the capital was only 50 kilometers and so the capital's garrison which primarily was made up of more elite SPDF forces was beefed up with Waffen-SS units fresh from their victories against the communist "RSU". The Ordenite habors and docks were also given extra protection and beefed up with Ordenite security forces. So far the SPDF and SPAP were holding on and developing lines of defense against the various armed groups that were not only fighting the government but amongst themselves.

Numerous reports were flooding in from across the country about massacres and 'ethnic' cleansing of either coloreds or whites in certain villages and larger towns. Large amounts of refugees were also fleeing from the fighting and heading more towards the coast and the capital for safety against the various groups. SPDF warplanes stalked the skies and ran sorties against various anti-government positions across the country primarily with thermobaric munitions and even napalm as sections of jungles would be consumed with thick flames for hours on end. The fragile peace between the coloreds and whites had now been broken and combusted into racially motivated violence and warfare against one another. So far the Ordenites had offered support in the form of unmanned reconnaissance drones in order to scout and find out the locations of various anti-government positions in coordination with the SPDF Air-force. Already various SPDF outposts in the more remote jungles had either been cut off from their supply routes and reinforcements or had been completely overwhelmed by the various armed groups which created a proliferation of arms and munitions which only added fuel to the already raging fire.

Along the border with North Panooly the mostly SPDF forces stationed there were now receiving orders to reinforce the friendly forces fighting in the south. Along the border the SPDF had stationed twenty seven divisions to man the border previously manned by the Waffen-SS themselves although now they would be at half strength with 13 divisions being sent off further south in what was drawn up by SPDF commanders as a 'containment' effort that was envisioned that the 'Central Province would be contained by arriving forces from the border while the SPDF forces already south would eventually clear the way to the Central Province and then envelop it and snuff out any and all resistance that formed the 'Panooly Peoples Army'. Due to the lack of actual Ordenite advisors or liaisons that would usually accompany SPDF commanders in such situations were not present, generally bad decision making and or out right mutiny against the government was becoming more and more apparent.

Vostok, Capital City of The Soyuz Sovetskikh Vostochnaya Zvezda
(Union of Eastern Star Soviets / Vostok Union)
(Formerly Red Star Union)

Agent Alejandro Mondragon rode in the back of the taxi through Vostok, the Capital of the "Free portion" of Red Star Union. Though after many changes to the people and government, the communist enclave of Red Star Union had became known as The Union of Vostochnaya Zvezda Soviets, or The Vostok Union informally. While the term "free" was laughable at best, not even the Mokan propaganda artists believed it, for PUF influence could be found in everything from new military bases to food supplies.

Not that mattered much to Mondragon, he had more important matters to attend too. Most Zvezdans realized their only hope in avoiding all out invasion by the Ordernites to the south was their Mokan Allies, and he was one of those allies. Looking out the window of the taxi into the cold winter snow he admired the almost peaceful, ghost town feel of the city, though not how it came to be. Many citizens had been lost in the Blood Fever outbreak, and many buildings still had their plastic warnings of “Quarantine” wrapped around the doors and windows. Foot traffic was minimal, since the cold air was blowing especially hard today. And although a few gas stations had reopened since the ceasefire, the price was still prohibitive for those whose cars might have survived the war. At least the traffic lights were back up and running, but due to the emptiness of the roads, the few vehicles they did see rarely bothered paying attention to them. In the back of the rust colored taxi, Alejandro and another agent kept their minds off the cold by pushing the car's heater to the limit, and discussing what to expect at their rendezvous.

“This… Woman… fought off the Blade Remnants and Masamune Cartel? Then decided to form her own?”

The other agent had been in country far longer than the Hispanic man, and grown to know the ins and outs of local politics(outside of government):

“She was in the right place at the right time. Rosa Cartel needed an ally in the west, and she had contacts, but more importantly, local support. Blades never cared who they cut, but she was buying off local communities and police. Didn't take long for her to rally locals to her cause. Masamune arrived too late in the game, tried to muscle in. She fought back.”

“How much can we rely on local law enforcement?”

“Not as much as you would like, most are in her pocket right now. Even Montana Inc pays her off keep the peace on their construction sites.”

“That would explain why she was the one we picked. What are her opinions on foreigners, like us?”

“Hahaha, at least we are not Ordernites, but she knows there is too much money on their side of the border. She knows she needs help.”

“Good, we'll keep this professional then.”

Alejandro went quiet, letting the other agent focus on the unkempt roads ahead. He knew that the head of the Tsarina Cartel accepted his invitation with extreme caution, trust would have to be earned over time. She had survived Blood Fever and the destruction of her home and came out on top, now she was making friends in all sorts of places. Some had taken a chance at over throwing her, as the file explained, but those ex soldiers had been found shot to death, dumped from a 10 story building. Naturally paranoia was a side product of the industry, but both Alejandro and her wanted the same thing, drugs flowing across the border and money coming back. The Mokan government didn't care who they worked with, as long as the trouble continued. Today, he would meet the woman only known as “Sasha.”

Yuktar, Kashubia, Central Eastern Dienstad.

Yuktar had been a recovering city for several months since it's liberation by Ordenite forces during the summer offensive. Most of the debris and bombed out buildings had been cleared from the city, construction projects for the rebuilding and restoration of the city was already under way with the creation of the Kashubian Labor Service which enlisted and employed hundreds of thousands of workers who's families had been affected by the fighting and were looking to receive regular wages again to support their families. The KLS were now charged with handling the reconstruction of many of the major cities across the Kashubian Republic and would hope to see a drastic lowering of unemployment which was by the war's end at 19%. Citizens that were able to flee the city during the fighting and were still in-country begun to trickle back into the city to find relatives and family members or looking to restore the lives they had before the war. The current population of Yuktar stood at 9 million and was predicted to grow to at least 12 million by the summer. Besides all of the construction going on their was another 'war' so to speak going on in the shadows and was being waged by now arriving RSSA operatives and members of the Einatzgruppen that had swelled in numbers from Kashubian recruits and volunteers.

Over the past months since the city's liberation and the handing over of governance to Kendrov's forces, local law enforcement in the city was with help from the Militia able to round up 12,000 dissidents who were staying in the city. The dissidents were then moved to camps constructed outside many of the major cities for the purpose of awaiting the Einatzgruppen to arrive and clean out the camp of it's prisoners. A specific location would then be chosen and the dissidents would then be herded to that location which in this case was a large pit that had been created for the executions that would now occur here. It had been decided that for max sufficiency that 1,000 would be killed every day until all 12,000 were killed and buried within the pit. So for twelve days the 12,000 condemned were killed in a massive pit with heavy machine gun fire as the method of choice for the mass execution. Of course in the more rural areas, teams of Einatzgruppen with help from local police units conducted smaller scale executions of partisans, intelligentsia and communists or socialists. Much of the work was placed on the Kashubian volunteers as a way to split the blame of these atrocities between the Ordenites and Kashubians.

A official record of the numbers executed was always on hand to update and or view by anyone who was allowed permission to see it. General SS personnel and officials were already in-country since the Einatzgruppen first established operations in the country and therefore kept track with records and other information concerning the elimination of dissidents in the post-war stage.

150KM from Susol, Northern Kashubia,
12th Waffen-SS Heersgruppe.

Since the liberation of both Gryazanaya and the former capital New Impen, Ordenite forces had been steadily moving what military assets and manpower it could towards the north and towards Susol. In the weeks before the initial ceasefire was signed between the Ordenites and Mokan's the OKW was continuing to make an effort to advance on Susol and lay siege to it in order to have a front from which to theoretically continue military operations against the remaining URA and Mokan forces that fled towards the peninsula. Nearly 3 million Ordenites had been deployed over the course of the initial conflict and with the growing numbers of the BSM which had recently been re-named the 'Kashubian Defense Forces', the Ordenite Wehrmacht were more than prepared to continue the war and completely eliminate the communist threat from Kashubia's borders. The 12th Waffen-SS Army Group was the spear-head of the initial thrust towards Susol and had seen much of the combat in Gryazanaya against URA and Mokan forces. The OKS which was the Supreme High Command of the Waffen-SS had begun the initiative to secure a proper front in case of a Mokan led counter offensive or if it was ever decided that Ordenite armies should once again march on the URA remnants. At least thirty divisions worth of Ordenite troops had been moved to the new front-lines which was 150 kilometers from the city of Susol from which they would begin to develop static defenses and build up a permanent concentration of forces.

A proper logistics network was also in the works and with experience from fighting off partisan attacks on supply convoys a number of 'outposts' would soon be constructed along the entirety of the logistics network in order to ensure complete protection and fast reaction time to attacks against crucial logistics trains. It had been long envisioned that at least two million of the three million Ordenite troops in country would be massed along the new front-lines with their sworn enemy as the remaining troops would be spread out amongst several major military bases that were currently under construction. A majority of the troops that would be stationed on the frontlines would come from the Waffen-SS which aligned with how Wehrmacht strategy concerning Kashubia would take place, the numbers of the Ordenite Heer were sure to accompany such shock troops into battle in defense or offense against their northern enemy. Anti-Air was a concerning priority to the OKS and the OKL concerning their enemy and the experiences of the year long conflict, SAM emplacements would be crucial in the integrity of the front-lines due to the fact that actual Mokan forces were stationed on the peninsula and were rumored to be assisting in the defense of Susol.

Artillery would be a key deterrent to the Mokan side of the country and which had proved effective against the URA during it's offensives that seized most of the country within a year. Towed to mobile would be utilized by the Waffen-SS and Heer fighting units on the front-lines although the mobile artillery units such as the 600mm Heavy Mortar and other smaller artillery units and equipment. The Luftwaffe was also a key part in future operations in safe guarding the country and liberating the remainder of the country from foreign aggression. Airfields and Airbases would soon be in construction and would host Luftwaffe ground attack aircraft, strategic bombers and fighter planes. Reconnaissance would be possible due to IMNIT and HUMNIT resources provided by the Ordenite intelligence community. The KDF would be more responsible for internal defense against foreign and domestic internal threats to their national security and sovereignty as a whole.

Large recruitment drives for the KDF have been in motion since their official establishment by Premier Kendrov himself. Drawing high numbers of youth and middle aged men due to their want of a good wage to provide for their families, or had a extreme amount of nationalistic fever which had many of the country's populace once the communist regime had been effectively toppled gripped by it's cause and ideals. It had been rumored by the OKS that a new foreign Waffen-SS combat unit would soon enter service, the 53rd Kashubian SS Mechanized Division. Yet even with the big numbers being encouraged to enlist with the KDF or the Waffen-SS but that a impressive amount of citizens of varying ages were being recruited within the newly created and rapidly growing Kashubian Labor Service which was managed by the Ministry of Labor. It was heavily predicted that within the next few months, the Kashubian unemployment percentage would fall massively to a possible 2%. Major infrastructure projects and other reconstruction were all being planned for the KLS to build within the next decade. The Kashubians under Kendrov had big dreams that they were hoping to successfully strive for and they make themselves completely sure of it.

Considering the geopolitical situation and location of the newly formed Kashubian Republic, the Ordenite Navy would soon create a heavy presence in the area and make up most of the KDF navy. It is projected that construction will soon surely bring the creation of additional harbors and docks for use by the Ordenite Kreigsmarine. The OKM have recently announced in the wake of domination over 82% of Kashubian coast line and that Kashubia is a autonomous sovereign domain of the Ordenite Reich that the Kreigsmarine will be hoping to construct and deploy 400 naval ships of mostly the destroyer and submarine type within the next two decades in order to keep a more permanent and sure concentration of naval forces to ensure Kashubian sovereignty.

Ministry of Pubic Health
(Formally Chekov street Apartment complex)
Vostok, Union of Eastern Star Soviets

The local’s vodka tasted like shit, which is why Dr. Romeo Allende payed extra for the imported(quality) Rum from his homeland. The few stores catering to Mokans and Federal citizens in the UESS were expensive, and off limits to the locals, but worth every sip of liquid amnesia that didn't taste like floor cleaner.

(....a valued asset to the People's Unified Federation...)

Outside the not so dull roar of machines and construction equipment from a Mokan firm vibrated the walls of his office and his head. It felt like the jackhammer was inside his skull rather than across the street. At least the Zvezdans(no longer called Unionists) were fans of day drinking. Back home this level drinking was frowned upon, but here he could hold off the hangover with more rum.

(...need to evacuate you and your staff...)

Another shot of the sharp sweet liquid bypassed his tongue on its way down.

His office used to be someone's apartment, either killed by the war or by the plague. The few residences left in this building had been moved elsewhere. The new Soviets in charge needed the space for a Ministry of Health, at least until the foreign contractors finished up the proper one across the street. For the moment, his staff and the staff from Imbrinium had each been given one apartment building to house their offices.

(...cannot leave my patients...)

On his desk next to the high priced bottle sat a nameplate, the honorary title of “Assistant to the Minister of Health" in the local non Latin alphabet. Numerous medals and awards in the same script adorned the meager walls of this once a bedroom. His efforts and those of the scientists from the Kingdom had saved countless lives north of the new border.

(... We'll come back...)

Red Star was the worst outbreaks of Varathon Blood Fever ever witnessed in Greater Dienstad. Proof the fascists would stop at nothing to wipe every one who opposed them off the face of the Earth. Dr. Allende had been on site during the initial attack in Malgrave, led the quarantine in Belmotin, and even saw to the protection of Federal Lives deployed in Castille. By this point he was an expert on the disease, so they sent him here, starting in New Impen…

(...Civilian evacuation is on the way...)

Dr. Allende had lost the sense of taste a while ago.

It didn't happen every day, some days he could spend all his waking hours focused on work. Other days it was only a quiet whisper, a pestering voice to be ignored, but days like today.. only the Rum and sounds of construction could drown them out.

(... We'll come back...)

He remembered every face, every grimace, every cry in pain by those in the New Impen medical camps. They were his patients, they trusted him. He knew he couldn't have saved them all, but he could have saved some. He personally over saw at least 23 patients that were pulling through. Each face permanently etched in his memory.

“They told me they would come back…”

9th Army 1st Corps Command
Forward Operating Base 03
Codename: “Zorya Utrennyaya”
30 kilometres outside of Susol,
Union of Eastern Star Soviets

As the legend goes, every morning Zorya Utrennyaya would open the gates of her father's palace to allow the Sun's chariot to depart, bringing a new day to the mortals below. As the Morning Star, she was the patron goddess of horses, protection, and exorcism. It was said she would cast her veil to protect warriors in battle who prayed to her. Together, she the Morning Star and her sister the Evening Star, would open and close the gates every day for the Sun’s chariot. Together they would stand guard over Simargl, the doomsday hound chained to Ursa Minor, to prevent him from consuming the constellation and ending the universe.

Though no longer worshipped outright, the Zorya sisters were still part of the local folklore; pagan deities shared with their Slavic counterparts from the People's Unified Federation. The details might have changed, but the idea had not. The Zorya, Patrons of protection and exorcism, were the ideal choices for the code names for the Red Star Army's new beginning.

Originally a training ground, “Zorya Utrennyaya” gave Unionists soldiers the tools and skills to needed to survive against their new enemy. She taught them to use more accurate rifles, how to wear advanced body armor and intelligence gathering techniques. The old war horses such as T-72s, though beautiful when they younger, were no longer the chariots the army needed. She blessed the Unionist Forces with LY10s: lighter and faster, but with armor and technology that kept them alive, with the fire power to disable even a DireWolf. Then the war came to a close. What had been considered by many to be certain defeat became a new hope as a new day rose over the Zvevdans(they adapted their ethnic title, Zvezdans, derived from the word for “Star”) and the fascists had paused. Peace had come at last, but many wondered how long it would last.

These days she still stood guard against those that wish to devour Ursa Minor, casting her veil of protection to Susol and beyond. Though longer called Unionists, the people still trained with her and her sister in the north.

South of the city, defensive structures were being constructed, and modernized Zvezdan troops stood guard with Mokan or Federal counterparts. Nearly 200,000 soldiers in total waited on the line for a surprise attack from the south, while another 300,000 drilled and trained in the bases’ many camps.

However, today a new gift would be arriving. Huge cargo planes with neither the Red Star of the Soviet Government nor the PUF’s military logo began flying in and landing. With approval from the local tower the planes slowed on the landing strip and were guided to parking and unloading locations. Mokan soldiers prepared a welcoming entourage, complete with a marching band. As the first few soldiers walked off the ramps of the planes, they were greeted by cheers from the welcoming party while the honor guard stood at attention.

New advisers, not from the People's Unified Federation, had arrived.

Kashubian Oil Fields, Central Kashubia, Central-Eastern Dienstad.

The Kashubian Oil Fields had been captured by advancing Ordenite Army and Waffen SS forces during the early advances in the summer offensive heading into the eventual start of Operation Rapid Stroke which sealed the fate of the communist regime in the majority of Kashubia. URA defenders were little to none when the Ordenites did arrive and secured the entirety of the Oil fields. Now with the end of the war coming to be a thing of the past, the Kashubian Oil Fields had been made the explicit property of the Reich Petroleum Corporation which were now being able to begin operations as a corporation in the newly garnered Kashubian Republic and would be the sole importer and exporter of oil across the Ordenite Reich. Reich Petroleum officials and Reich Ministry of Economics officials had previously discussed the yield of oil that the newly acquired Oil fields would bring to the Reich and it was theorized that the Oil Fields would per day produce as much as 13,000,000 barrels of oil and that annually the yield would be just over 4 billion barrels of oil produced and able to be exported or imported to the Reich. Oil production in the UWO it's self was not that far off in yield with per day production being shy of 12,000,000 barrels of oil, the Reich was always looking to achieve full self sufficiency and acquiring the Kashubian Oil Fields would be another step in the right direction to self autarky.

Such a yield of oil would be necessary to maintain the vast Ordenite Wehrmacht and it's expansive mechanized and armored forces that could at any time be called to war for the Reich. It would also benefit the growing Kashubian Defense Forces who were largely financed and equipped by The Golden Throne although training was left to the Wehrmacht and it's highly experienced Officer training schools that were being established to give the KDF the most elite officers and commanders it could provide. It had also been established about how much of the oil yield the Kashubian Republic gets which in several meetings with economic and oil producing executives along with a final decision made by Pavel Kendrov himself. The Ordenite Reich and the KR would split the oil yields half in half although the Reich would be able to dip into KR oil yields in times of emergency. Natural gas was another benefit the Ordenite Reich would be able to exploit as spoils of war after defeating the dreaded communist foe, it had therefore been agreed that the majority of Natural gas yields would go to the KR and be used for the betterment of the country as a whole and work towards it's modernization and up-bringing to a standard similar to the UWO it's self.

The Kashubian economy would for the better be held to the same standard and operation as the Ordenite economy. Nationalization of major Kashubian industries such as logging, oil , natural gas and coal production were all completed within the first month since complete victory over the communist government. Kashubia's corporations would soon become represented in the NCC or National Council of Corporations while labor conscription which was already very apparent with the successes and popularity amongst the populace with the Kashubian Labor Service. Within the next few months the KLS would have completed several major infrastructure projects such as the re-construction of most of the countries major cities along with paving new roads and highways mostly for the easier flow of military logistics and forces to and from anywhere in the country, a expansive railway network throughout the country would also be under development in order to "Usher in a new age for Kashubians" as typical propaganda portrayed by the KLS said.

Former Kremlin District, New Impen,
Kashubia, Central-Eastern Dienstad.

Since the complete capture of New Impen the former capital of the Aponos communist regime and his dictator successor General Stukov, the Kremlin District seen as the seat of power for the former communist regime was closed off entirely to the public. Large barbwire fences and armed guards made sure no one was trespassing and the Kremlin District was under the complete control and authority of the Reich Main Security Office who was granted permission to begin investigations and dispatched a few dozen Reich Security Service agents to scour the bombed out buildings including the Kremlin it's self for any information and or important documents left behind and not destroyed by the communists. Much of the district had not been touched since it's capture by Kendrov's Militia forces a move that was allowed by the Wehrmacht as a morale victory for Kendrov's forces and the remaining populace who had survived through VBF outbreaks and the harsh fighting. A burnt out of action T-72 was near by the Kremlin building it's self, a large hole in it's frontal armor from a Nakil tank round during the initial fighting. Much of the buildings still had now decaying bodies of URA soldiers and mercenaries who made last stands in the hollowed out government buildings that were a shell of their former selves. The KLS were to eventually be tasked with demolition of the entire Kremlin District, all it's buildings including the Kremlin it's self would need to be destroyed once and for all.

A small motorcade was allowed entrance into the Kremlin District as it took the main road that militia forces did to reach the Kremlin it's self. The ride was rough as the streets were littered with debris and rubble from the previous fighting and that only military vehicles usually drove around in the district. After a short drive to the Kremlin the Motorcade came to a halt just outside the ruins of what was the communist's government's seat of power as already awaiting them was a small garrison of KDF soldiers, one of the soldiers opened the luxury four door sedan and out came Pavel Kendrov himself. Wearing winter clothing he took in the scenery of the Kremlin District which he thought never in a life time he'd be able to get here without being arrested by communist soldiers or police, now he could since he ruled over the country.

"Premier sir, the media should be arriving any time now for your address." A liaison informed Kendrov as the Premier and his entourage walked up the steps towards the main entrance which had been blasted open during the fighting, before long Kendrov and his entourage stood at the main entrance to the Kremlin it's self. From the top of the stairs the group could look over the street below, this was where many URA soldiers made their final stand against impending defeat.

"Very symbolic isn't it?" Kendrov asked the well dressed men standing around him, some of them were Reich Security agents who were sworn to protect him at all costs. Others among Kendrov were future ministers of his cabinet and a prominent Orthodox Christian who was at the front of Orthodox Christian and government relations.

"I am about to address the nation at large, from the very steps from which the communist hordes suffered their greatest defeat"
Kendrov said as he looked towards the lower street, reporters were beginning to gather taking photos and preparing their cameras and questions. The small garrison of KDF soldiers stood guard at the bottom of the stair case, the only barrier between the Premier of the Kashubian Republic and the growing hordes of media reporters from local news agencies and reporters from abroad in the UWO.

Eventually the reporters were allowed to venture up the staircase and towards the Premier and his entourage, the Reich security agents prevented any crowding of the entourage as the reporters gawked Kendrov primarily with questions of all sorts, cameras were rolling and pictures taken as Kendrov began to address the media. "As Premier of the Kashubian Republic and on behalf of it's most gracious ally in fighting the defeated communist threat who now lick their wounds and cower in fear of our growing unity in the despair of Vostok, the Fourth Reich as we all know, I Pavel Kendrov will answer any and all questions, please ask away." Kendrov opened the floor for questions, he pointed at one reporter a man from Chernaya.

"Yes Premier, what is your thoughts on the rejuvenation of the Orthodox Christian church in Kashubia?" he asked as Kendrov took a few seconds before giving an answer.

"I for one am a devoted Christian of the Orthodox faith, with the communists pushed out with help of our dear allies in the Fourth Reich we have garnered back our religious freedoms and people will be able to practice their faith without fearing retaliation or persecution." Kendrov answered as the reported nodded and another reporter was chosen.

"What is your stance on the illegal occupation and corruption of rightful Kashubian lands that now face oppression at the hands of the communists and foreigners?" Kendrov smiled and was waiting for this sort of question to be asked by a reporter.

"The lands that are still under occupation by the foreigners and defeated communists will be liberated, I can assure the nation of this." He raised a closed fist. "We will liberate our people from the chains of exploitation and corruption, deliver them their rightful freedoms and reimburse them for the horrible treatment by the communists and foreigners, Vostok will always be Kashubia."

The brief press conference outside the ruins of the Kremlin ended as the entourage of the Premier were escorted past the horde of news reporters and back to their motorcade. The Kashubian Labor Service were beginning to arrive as the district was scheduled for immediate demolition, soon even the reporters would have to leave as the district would be under complete lock down until the demolition was over. Across Kashubian cities the newly formed Kashubia United Party which advocated for a complete de-communization of society and that the Orthodox Christian faith in the country should be revived, held marches of solidarity through the streets as a sign of good faith to the new Premier Kendrov and that they would be the ones who would make Kashubia great again.

Gryazanaya, Outer commercial district, Kashubia,
Central-Eastern Dienstad.

The gradual continuous snow fall had blanketed much of Gryazanaya in a coat of white since the end of November. Tank tracks and tire trails gave a hint to where the streets were under all of the snow that had built up from the winter season which was soon to come to a close. A Arca.IV Nakil tank advanced up what looked like a deserted section of a commercial district which from there would spill out into the suburbia which was as far as the eye could see. A few men sat on top of the tank wearing winter clothing over their BDU's and wearing ushankas, carrying their Hali-42 assault rifles with them as they looked out for any ambushes or places of interest. Following behind the Nakil were several Shalmaneser HAPCs and three Ejiard IFV's which were ferrying a complete mechanized platoon of Kashubian Defense Forces that would be out on a search and destroy mission to route out and eliminate any partisan forces still trying to oppose KR and Ordenite occupation. Much of the scenery was dull and grey with most of the buildings in the district having been greatly affected by the war and now with the partisans that still roamed it's more lawless areas not yet in rightful KDF hands. The platoon came to a sudden stop as the platoon commander hopped off the lead Nakil tank and observed the street ahead with suspicion as he looked through a pair of binoculars.

Joseph a soldier from a village near the city of Yuktar approached the platoon commander following his gaze down the road, a burnt out vehicle was in the middle of the street up ahead. The commander made a few gestured hand signals and from the backs of the Shalmaneser's the platoon begun to file out into the open as they took positions on either side of the road. "Sir, should we continue on foot and have the armor for cover and support?" he asked as the commander looked over at him.

"The platoon will continue up the street on foot, the Nakil will move with them while the rest follow at a distance for support."
he ordered as the platoon begun the trek up the road at a cautious pace as the Nakil rumbled with them, one of the hull machine gunners swiveled his heavy machine gun around at the surrounding buildings. A glass bottle shattered on the ground as a flame erupted as a result of the thrown Molotov cocktail, automatic gun fire followed as the platoon took cover and the heavy machine gunner on the Nakil turned his barrel towards one of the buildings windows as he fired a burst. A rocket swooshed past the Nakil as the gunfire picked up louder than ever, the Nakil's 120mm turret moved forward and fired at the barricade ahead of them blowing it apart.

"ADVANCE, PUSH FORWARD!" The platoon commander shouted over the radio as the Nakil and the other armored vehicles began moving forward along with the mechanized platoon on either side. Another shell was fired from the Nakil at a upper story balcony as heavy machine gun fire strafed the surrounding buildings occupied by armed partisans. The platoon's men crouched down and took cover from the falling shards of glass and debris, some took pot shots at the partisans every once or so. The platoon continued pushing forward until the commander gave new orders that were to follow.

"Take these buildings, we're going to have to snuff them out of here!" he said over the radio as the mechanized platoon split up into individual squads and moved into near by buildings taking the fight to the enemy. Floor by floor was fought for, grenades and automatic fire were prevalent in the close quarters fighting that ensued. Joseph busted down the door to a room on his right spraying the living room with a hail of bullets gunning down two partisans who barely had time to turn around. Three other soldiers followed behind Joseph as he kicked another door down that led into a bedroom with a view of the street below, another burst of fire and the partisan with a machine gun was gunned down. A fierce explosion from the floor above vibrated the room as the furniture shook, a grenade had went off. Coming out of the room and into the hallway other KDF soldiers were heading upstairs and so Joseph followed intent on hunting down the enemy.

Partisans on the upper floors had barricaded any of the stairs that led up to them, mounted machine guns fired on anyone daring enough to try and assault their positions. From street level one of the Shalmanesers had it's only 40mm grenade launcher fire on the upper floor windows, loud resounding booms and explosions occurred before Joseph and the other KDF soldiers charged the stair case firing on any of the partisans still alive. Joseph ejected the empty magazine from his Hali-42 while other soldiers prepped for a breach of a room, slapping in a fresh magazine he took point and knocked the door down only to be ambushed by a man into a corner, sharp cracks from rifles sounded off as the next KDF soldier into the room took several rounds to the chest and fell over. Joseph struggled with his attacker who had a knife to his face although he was keeping the knife at bay. In the corner of his eye he saw a grenade get tossed inside the room, Joseph ducked low striking the attacker in the gut as the grenade exploded showering the room in shrapnel but Joseph had survived while the attacker slumped over from piercing shrapnel wounds.

Taking the knife he tried to attack him with he plunged it into the partisan's neck several times. A seriously wounded partisan crawled through the kitchen as Joseph stalked him and stabbed him repeatedly in the back, leaving the knife in his back. The remaining floors were cleared with ease, prisoners taken as well. The platoon would re-group on the street and with the commander's orders continued the mission through the district.

9th Army 1st Corps Command
Forward Operating Base 03
Codename: “Zorya Utrennyaya”
30 kilometres outside of Susol,
Union of Eastern Star Soviets

The four C-10s came to a stop to a band and the royal treatment the Mokastana military and their civilian authority in control of free RSU. The first off the plane was the commander of the 3rd commando brigade. Colonel Venanzio Bruno was a tall thin commander that loved the job and had worked his way through the ranks in the commandos his men where his family and they knew it.
Col. Bruno stepped off the plane and saluted the commander of 9th Army, and shook his hand,

“My men will be arriving soon and we are ready to get to work sir, I also have another BRRT and some spooks here with me but my men will be arriving over the next 24hrs.”

The first men of the 3rd started to off load the plane as the crew chiefs lowered the back ramp and started to unload the soldiers gear the was on airborne cargo pallets. The last of the four planes where foreign ministry staff and the spooks from the SADSOG units. The SADSOG units had their own mission.

The Bruno handed the commander of the 9th a case filled with their mission statement and orders. “Commander I would like to see that my men are unloading and taken care of, permission to join them if you have no further orders or anything else you need from me”

The commander of the 9th army dismissed the colonel to see after his men.

Col. Bruno walked over to the brigade sergeant major CSM Dimitri Gallo, “SM Gallo sees that the recon team finds us a place to setup a command center and a place for our men to bed down besides these hangers.”

“Roger commander will do”

5hrs later:

The units that had arrived from the first plane and the ones that followed where sitting in a hanger on the edge of the airfield. The recon team came back and reported that three spots could do as a command center close enough to also have troops close by. The first place was a hotel down town but it wouldn’t have the security needed do to the closeness of the streets, the second was a office building that had enough space but with its glass windows it would be a risk to place command there, the last place was a large high school with two soccer fields and large track area where additional complexes could be setup and also it had enough space off of the streets to put up security barricades and armored vehicles.

Within a hour the first units where headed to clear the school of anybody and or booby traps, it was well after midnight when the first personal moved in some of the classrooms to bed down for the night their equipment loaded in Mokastana army trucks as the commandos marched the five miles to the school. The soldier’s rotated watch that night the gym was setup as a command center and the cooks started to setup the kitchen for more soldiers coming in. The sports fields where being setup with personal tents and filling sand bags, the equipment moving in by aircraft where moving in slowly due to only flying in a small number of aircraft at a time not to overwhelm the Mokastana air field.

The SADSOG teams from the OAH (Oifig aireacht na hintleachta) which was the new name of the intelligence agency replacing the old Imbrinium intelligence agency, the SAS where to setup with them and run missions separate of the SADSOG and the Commandos. Higher units from the orders would be arriving within days to conduct some of the other missions’ setup by the Crown and MOD.

Col. Bruno looked around as his march with his men to the school; he noticed how devastated the city was the landscape looked as if it had seen years of war not months. The snow couldn’t even cover up the destruction. There was a lot to get done and time was on no one’s side.
When I was young I used to pray for a bike, then I realized that God doesn't work that way, so I stole a bike and prayed for forgiveness.
"Deus vult" is Latin for "God wills it" and it was the cry of the people at the declaration of the First Crusade by Pope Urban II at the Council of Clermont in 1095.

Kolinovka Detention Facility, 60KM from Rubino, Kashubia,
Central Eastern Dienstad.

"Attention all Gefangenen, assemble to the parade field immediately, any slackers will be punished severely." The announcement sounded all throughout the sprawling detention facility as flooding out of the multiple barracks were thousands of prisoners that had been over the course of the war to liberate current day Kashubia from the vile former communist regime, surrendered or were captured by Ordenite or Black Star forces. Almost 2 million prisoners of war were taken over the course of the year long conflict with the majority of them being Unionist Red Army conscripts and a minority of former mercenaries who fought along side them and were employed by Mokastana. The Kolinovka Detention Facility unlike the many others that existed across the newly formed Kashubian Republic was constructed and filled with the majority of the 'foreign' prisoners of war. Lyran, Lamonian, Mokan, Maccabean, Panoolie, Imbrimium and Morrdaines even were what the over 60,000 confirmed mercenary elements that had been captured as prisoners of war now assembled on a parade field inside what was essentially a death camp in of it's self.

Unlike the other detention facilities which were run by a Kashubian branch of the SS-Totenkopfverbande who managed the numerous labor and death facilities for dissidents and prisoners of war across the Reich. Kolinovka was ran by a special regiment of Feldjagerkorps which officially were the uniformed military police units that ensured obedience and strict discipline in the ranks of the Wehrmacht. Kolinovka was quite an expansive facility which was surrounded by high barbwire fences and around the clock patrols by the guards, several rows of barracks style buildings would be where the prisoners were housed. The facility also had an armory, a small clinic, administration building and the parade field which was what all the other buildings within Kolinovka were built around. The parade field it's self was surrounded by barbwire fencing and watch towers with guards armed with stationary machineguns, typical detention facilities such as these were quite massive as to accommodate for the numbers of prisoners they would be holding.

Once the masses of prisoners were herded like cattle to the parade field by aluminum baton wielding Feldjagerkorps officers, the 'Commandant' then arrived flanked by armed Feldjagerkorps officers. "I have an announcement to make." He said simply as the parade field went quiet as only the Commandant's voice could be heard.

"As of the 25th of January, 2016." He began and continued as the prisoners watched on and listened, surrounded by armed Feldjagerkorps personnel.

"Under accordance with General Order 55 from the SS-Totenkopfverbande, all prisoners currently within Kolinovka are to be summarily executed for the following crimes dictated by the Oberkommando der Wehrmacht..." He began as the prisoners listened in silent horror as they had just been condemned to death.

"Crimes against humanity, conspiracy to commit crimes against peace, conspiracy to commit a war of aggression." The Commandant listed before coming to his conclusion and final decree to the prisoners.

"You're all to be assembled at the main gates in orderly columns one behind the other and await transport by the proper authorities for immediate execution, dismissed." The prisoners were shocked to say to least and as they were scrambled to the gates by the Feldjagerkorps, many were beginning to realize that they would not be going home to their country of origin and that the Reich did not acknowledge regionally acclaimed accords that explained POW etiquette and handling of POWs. Fortunately for them their executions would primarily consist of decapitation which was a previously not as used of a military execution method as was the firing squad, although the Reich wanted to drive a point home to the nations of Dienstad and the city of Tarn which was a major hub for freelancing mercenaries for hire that the Reich would have no mercy and no remorse in the result of their surrender to Wehrmacht forces.

54th SS Army Group 1st Army Command
Ordenite Frontlines, 150 kilometers from Susol
Kashubian Republic, De-facto Border with the UESS

Since the arrival of Waffen-SS formations to the de-facto "border" or at least a theoretical frontline with the UESS. The 54th SS Army Group had been digging in and constructing static defenses in anticipation for what the Reich-PUF fiasco in what was formerly known as the 'Red Star Union' would turn to next. Since the official proclamation of the Union of East Star Soviets which went un-recognized by the Ordenite Reich, large formations of Waffen-SS and Ordenite Army units began carving out the land no more than 150 kilometers south of Susol. Temporary motor pools were created in remote locations along the wide defensive front to hold logistics vehicles not in use or was also a place for vehicles to come for repairs if needed. Intricate trench lines were also dug which would be where SS soldiers would be huddled in for most of their time watching the scenery, waiting for orders that could spark conflict between two great powers once again. Everything in retrospect was temporary as the Oberkommando des Heeres and Oberkommando des SS theorized that peace between both sides would eventually diminish within the first few months.

Artillery emplacements would generally be dug in and properly covered with appropriate colored camouflage netting and natural debris from the environment to better conceal them from reconnaissance attempts. Armored units which consisted primarily of the Tiger II Heavy Tank and the Panther II Main Battle Tank were generally placed in rendezvous locations close to the frontlines in order to provide immediate support to the infantry in the trenches when coming under assault. Actual dug in vehicles that accompanied the infantry were mostly variants of the TPZ 255 and the Puma 234 Infantry Fighting Vehicle for direct infantry support. Mortar pits were also morphed into the trenches every few yards in order to cover the wide ranges that they'd need to cover so they could suppress advancing enemy infantry. Besides the trenches, their were actual underground rooms that had been dug within the trenches which would be where additional ammunition and anti-tank weapons and explosives would be housed for quick access to the infantry. These rooms would depending on where they were along the trench lines, would act as small infirmaries and housing quarters for the troops fighting in them.

Supply lines for the frontline would generally run through several routes which would be covered by small outposts separated by every few kilometers in order to better safe guard supplies and manpower from ambush or sabotage. Not all of the routes ran strictly through paved roads as some ran through hastily constructed dirt path ways through sections of forest wide enough for the supply transports to drive through in order to reach their designated location to deliver supplies. Regular armed patrols behind the frontlines typically occurred as to not denote the threat of ambush or sabotage by armed bandits or communist guerillas. Protection from aerial attacks would also be covered with specific locations from which the AA units typically operated from with the frontlines split into different sectors which several AA units would have to cover in case of attack.

Specifically the headquarters for the 54th SS Army Group were situated in a small remote town no less than 21 kilometers from the frontlines, once going further in land directly south of the forming defensive lines. The inner workings of the Ordenite Wehrmacht were at hand as additional formations of the Ordenite Army and selected units from the Kashubian Defense Forces were primarily behind the frontlines to act as reinforcements or a rallying point for the development of a fall back line if the UESS were to theoretically commit it's forces to assault the Ordenites where they were. Further in land was where more elaborate defenses were laid down by Ordenite Army engineers and soldiers, with AA defenses becoming more intricate along with the three air fields that were in the vicinity of the frontlines no less than 60 kilometers. Ammunition and fuel depots were also in the vicinity and cleverly hidden and defended from possible attack or sabotage from enemy forces along with additional motor pools. Early Warning Aircraft in conjunction with flights from Lu-95 Fighter Jets patrolled the skies for any signs of enemy aircraft or suspicious ground movement. The war was officially over but the Wehrmacht was not taking any chances with a communist government to the north.

Forward Operating Base 03
Codename: “Zorya Utrennyaya”
30 kilometres outside of Susol,
Union of Eastern Star Soviets

Major Saragoza walked into the meeting room with his counterparts from Imbrinium. These men were specialised for behind enemy line operations. Though the Major had gotten a taste of such action after his original position had been overran during the Blitz, he would rather leave that work to men like this. Of the 200 men in his company, 94 made it back home alive after fighting through 700+ kilometres of enemy territory. Many of his men had, at least, earned their claws from setting up ambushes and attacking targets of opportunity while behind enemy lines. Command was always happy to see more Jaguars in service.

“Welcome to Zvezda, gentlemen. Or as the local government calls themselves: The Union of Eastern Star Soviets. We apologize for the temporary location, new based are being built to give proper housing as we speak. I am Major Ethan Saragoza of the People's Federal Army. I will be your liaison with Federal Command.

I was stationed outside of Uslan with the 20th Battalion, 33rd Maritime Assault Division. We were training Unionists how to fight when out position was overrun. Those that survived attempted to rally with allied forces outside of Gryaznaya, approx. 700 kilometres away.

I led a company size unit, acting as saboteurs, intelligence agents, guerrillas, and occasionally supplied local militias along the way. Some of my men stayed behind to assist with resistance movements. No matter what the Press back home said, this was a war the PUF fought, whether Mokastana City wants to admit that or not.

My Battalion saw the most combat out of any unit stationed in the Union. I have first hand knowledge of Ordernite convoy systems, tactics and equipment. Much of the captured gear and debriefing documents will be made available to you for training and research.

So far they've been predictable, but I expect after continued guerilla campaigns something will change. If not, then let's keep kicking them where it hurts.

A lot of the infrastructure from Tuktar to Uslan was wrecked by retreating communist forces. This means the area's close to the border will be limited on pathways for travel. On top of that, the locals inform me that springtime here is especially muddy, with many roads turning to sludge as the winter frost begins to thaw. Keep that in mind over the next few months.

Now is There anything I can help with?”

Town Square

“Petyr! Is that you? I haven't seen you in ages!”

“Anna! My God, I thought I would never see you again. Come here!”

Ivan watched the young people embrace as the woman called Anna ran from her lunch to the man. It was nice to see people separated by the war find each other again. Ivan had been too old to fight, but he remembered the damage done during the siege of Yuktar. Bombed out buildings, starvation, mass exodus. It had been a rough few months, but things were looking up for those who played along with the new regime.

This small outdoor cafe was part of the proof that the city was recovering. Situated next to a Kashubian Labor Service office, many of its patrons were day laborers checking in for assignments, or handing payroll issues/picking up paychecks. Payday was particularly busy at this cafe, when the workers decided to relax and have a drink after a long week, and today was payday.

“FOR THE INDEPENDENT RED ARMY!”

Across the street a man pulled a Kalashnikov from his coat and began firing into the cafe and office. Food and patrons splattered as round after round struck. The first bullet struck Ivan in the shoulder, knocking him to the floor. His face slammed into the blood and drink mix covering the concrete of the cafe floor. The thunder of machine gun fire turned toward the office smashing Windows and breaking apart the waiting room and killing anyone unlucky enough to be by the receptionist.

More gun fire erupted from somewhere else, an explosion. Smoke bellowed from the labor office. Ivan faded in and out of conscious. A man from the Einatzgruppen stood over him:

“All you all right? We have a live one here!”

The smoke from the office had stopped. Police lights and ambulances covered the street. Rescue workers were helping the wounded, a young man laid on a stretcher as two paramedics worked hard to bring him back to life.

The soldier helped Ivan up as he looked over the devastation that over took his after dinner drink. In the middle of the chaos a single purse rested in the blood. It's owner either on a stretcher or still writhing in pain, the item just one of a dozen forgotten on the floor. Ivan didn't even notice when the nail bomb inside exploded and everything faded to black for the last time.

“200 120 kiloton yield, nuclear weapons? And cruise missiles to fire them?”

“Yes, Premier, that's the kicker we were talking about. As an ally of the People's Unified Federation, it is imperative you have the means to secure your border. I've already been in talks with the Zvezda Missile Command and helping them plan how to them. Estimate 40 ready to defend Susuol, 60 aimed at Kashubian oil fields and key resources, with the rest either in reserve or still planning targets for.”

“You want to detonate nuclear weapons over Zvezda?

“No, no one wants that, but we want to ensure the Kendrov regime knows the price he would pay to invade the north.”

Outside Yuktar, Kashubia,
Central Eastern Dienstad

The bright moon was high in the sky above a seemingly peaceful village that was situated outside of Yuktar municipality limits. A winding paved road connected villages such as this one to the greater city and also led towards cities in the eastern side of the Republic. Coming up the winding road and towards the village it's self were three HIM-TAC vehicles with their headlights brightening up the area as they soon entered the village proper and stopped in the entrance of one particular street which within it were two rows of sparsely occupied houses separated by a paved road. Embarking out of the HIM-TACs were twelve heavily armed men wearing balaclava masks and sporting all black BDUs and body armor. They wielded Hali-42 assault rifles with equipped silencers and night vision optics and goggles as they advanced down the street towards their intended target which was a residence owned by a man named Ian Zakharov who had been named by local authorities and local informants as the suspected ring leader of a communist resistance group who affiliated it's self with the 'IRA' or Independent Red Army. He was also being accused and charges put against him for a earlier attack on a KLS office and a neighboring café which ended with a dozen dead and dozens more injured in the ensuing attack.

These twelve men were part of the upcoming premier counter insurgency task force that was being organized between the Republic and the Ordenite Reich. Their mission when briefed on it was painlessly simple, they were to get Ian Zakharov dead or alive and kill anyone else that was in the house hold along with finding any evidence of his involvement in the communist insurgency that was still nevertheless stronger once Republic territory begun to fair closer and closer to UESS borders. These men worked behind the scenes in utter secrecy in taking down high profile communist guerilla leaders and other trouble makers while the Kashubian Army worked on better securing the country as a whole and bringing peace to a former war-zone.

"Vulture one to Nest come in over, we're approaching the cave I repeat we are approaching the cave. Less than fifty meters out." One of the twelve men said into his shoulder attached radio as he threw up a hand signal to halt. They all crouched down as they could now visibly see the house they were about to breach. It was pitch black as villages commonly didn't have efficient street lighting and so once night time fell the streets were pitch dark like much of the country around this time. The radio suddenly came to life as a transmission was coming in.

"Nest to Vulture one we hear you loud and clear, greenlight, greenlight, greenlight." the operator on the other end responded as the mission was officially a go ahead. The twelve man team went forward in a straight line as they came upon the gated entrance to the house, a pair of bolt cutters solved that problem as the team entered the residence and prepared to breech the front door. Several of the men went on either side of the house to cover the windows and peek inside if they could. One of the men on the porch brought up a battering ram as with a swift swing brought the door down followed by two well placed flash bangs, the team begun it's breach of the house. Once entering the house they entered the living room in which a man with a beard stood up quickly grabbing a semi-automatic pistol of the table.

He was swiftly put down with two rounds to the chest which sent him into the couch again. A small coffee table near him which had a opened laptop and more magazines for the pistol. A flag was draped behind the couch which was the former banner of the Unionist Red Army along with other communist paraphilia that was in the house. A thorough search of the other rooms in the house came up with the finding of Ian Zakharov who had barely woken up from the commotion in the living room to even reach for the Kalashnikov that was on the right side of his bed. One of the men yanked him out of the bed and zip-tied his wrists together before pushing him out into the hallway. The team now went to work with finding evidence that was related to the insurgency at hand, anything that could provide good intel for the Ministry of Interior Affairs which was the source of the government's interest in safe-guarding their newly made country from any internal threat. Three laptops were confiscated along with several hard drives and the communist flags and banners that decorated the house, a small cache of weapons was also found hidden in the closet of one of the more sparsely furnished rooms.

Once the house was cleared and Ian Zakharov was detained the twelve men exited the house hold as the three HIM-TAC vehicles waited outside idly. A neighbor had come out curiously looking at what was going on and before long one of the men shot him between the eyes in his own yard. One of the rifles that was taken from the house was left with the dead neighbor, put in his hands to make it appear he was one of Zakharov's henchmen that tried to defend him. Once everything was loaded along with the twelve men the vehicles left the village with another operation successful and were able to capture their target.

Residential Outskirts, Gryazanaya, Kashubia,
Central Eastern Dienstad.

A whole convoy of Shalmaneser HAPCs amounting to a entire mechanized company had set out from their staging point deeper in Grazanaya and had now almost reached the general outskirts for the residential areas of the greater city. The outskirts had been the point of resistance for what communist affiliated guerilla fighters still held up there tried to keep a grasp on. The mechanized company was also being accompanied in another part of the area by a small Armor platoon which was made up of 12 Nakil Tanks followed by another mechanized company. Actual civilians didn't populate the parts of the city that lied on the edge of the city's boundaries due to the fact that much of the communist guerilla fighters forcefully or not enlisted males immediately if they found someone that could hold a weapon and fight. Their numbers were sparse in the outskirts districts of the city although it was suspected that their numbers are greater in the more rural areas and that future offensives could risk parts of either Gryazanaya and New Impen if their numbers were allowed to grow.

Thus the Kashubian Army had now pledged several divisions for a new offensive that was beginning to take shape to clear out any and all communist resistance in the country side where amongst the small villages, their political ideas may entangle others in their dreams for a 'proletariat' for the workers and peasants as they called them. Besides the empty void left behind due to the mass exodus of the population who had lived here once the initial engagements between the communist guerillas and the KAF had begun in masse. Apartment buildings and other high rises in the area had mostly been the victims of frequent artillery shells and or rockets and even guided bombs from aircraft such as the Lu-95 which was a Macabee fighter jet that has been employed by the Ordenite Luftwaffe and now the Kashubian Air Force was also training pilots and other personnel to operate them.

Once the two mechanized companies disembarked from their vehicles did the fighting actually begin. Snipers and machine gun nests were what the opposition to the Army was made up of as the two companies went about achieving their tasked objectives. The Salmaneser HPACs frequently opened up with their 30mm chain guns and with their 12.7mm gunners also firing at opportunity targets. Once again as in previous engagements with guerilla forces was the combat primarily house to house and street to street, the communist rebels fought tooth and nail for every inch of ground which only made the Kashubian Army effort to expulse them become even more intense and brutal. Several explosions rocked one of the streets as a pair of Shalmeneser HPACs received direct hits from rockets fired by hidden guerillas, although they were mostly un phased due to the extra protection given to them specified for urban combat.

Suddenly mortar fire begun to rain down on communist positions as three G6 120mm SPM's moved into the general area of the fighting in support of the two mechanized companies. Several buildings in the vicinity of the falling mortar rounds were affected, shattered windows and falling pieces of debris from the buildings themselves, direct hits even. The two companies had so far taken light casualties since the beginning of the engagement while the entangled communist guerillas were simply losing men left and right as the Army continued to push forward further clearing out rows of houses. Buildings set ablaze with thick black smoke bellowing out into the sky as the fighting would slowly but surely begin to die down as the remaining communist guerillas in the immediate area retreated into the country side.

Somewhere in Susol, Union of Eastern Star Soviets,
Central Eastern Dienstad.

Nicotine smoke filled the small one bedroom apartment which with the only light fixture in the apartment situated in the small kitchen, made looking at things fuzzy. Anatoly Uvarov a middle aged man who originally lived in Chernaya under the dissatisfaction he held for the ruling communist government at the time, he knew more than anyone else that the regime was crumbling and when the Ordenites invaded the country a year earlier. Anatoly knew that the regime would fall indefinitely and that something better would come out of Aponos's demise and it did get better as he watched on television with the inauguration of the first President of the Kashubian Republic, former General Pavel Kendrov. Anatoly himself had served in the Unionist Red Army almost half a decade ago and had then been a proud so to speak communist, but as the years went by following his retirement from military service and being re-introduced to what communism actually was, he despised it. So when his city was liberated by the Ordenites and growing Black Star Militias, he joined them and armed himself and went on to become a decorated corporal in the Black Militias before because of his astonishing bravery and ability to adapt. A Ordenite that went only by the name 'Clark' came to him and took him under his wing.

Clark as those who were lucky enough to be in his presence was a mid-level operative from the Reich Security Service Agency and had seen potential in Anatoly and thus during the remainder of the war and a initiative started by the RSSA themselves in conjunction with the Kashubian Ministry of Internal Affairs to create a force of operatives who would carry out highly secret missions deep within enemy territory with a very high chance of death if caught. Their still was not a name to brand what these operatives represented but they were made out of necessity due to the increasing threat of PUF unconventional warfare and how it was slowly but surely taking a toll on Ordenite operations in the country. As they say, "Fight fire with fire" and that was what Anatoly would begin right now. Looking out a slightly dust covered window he saw a small motorcade arrive across the street from what intelligence he had was a building known to have suspected Mokan military representatives go in and out.

Slapping on a pair of tactical gloves and opening the window half way, Anatoly brought to bear a Draganov semi-automatic sniper rifle draped in bed sheets in order to better disguise what it really was. Waiting for the door to a military jeep to open as his target stepped out in full ceremonial military garb and escorted by a pair of guards. "For Kashubia. You cock sucker." he murmured to himself before squeezing the trigger with the trajectory of the bullet going straight for the darker skinned man's head which made contact as a burst of red midst shot out. The pair of guards rushed to his aide as the man collapsed to the ground and additional men rushed out of the building it's self. Anatoly immediately pulled the sniper rifle in, shutting the window and draping the bed sheets over the window and entering the bedroom. He tucked the sniper rifle away in a black duffle bag which he tossed over his shoulder, it also contained money, his fake identity papers and documents that granted him refugee status in the UESS and even a picture of his own target. He seemingly then left the apartment all together, boarding a bus that was heading to another part of the city.

Mórrdun,
Commonwealth of Morrdh

Cabinet Office Briefing Room A, or simply the COBRA Room as it was more commonly known, is typically used by the Morridane Government to discuss and coordinate its response to instances of national or regional crisis, or during events abroad with major implications for Morrdh. It was in dire need of a thorough clean and new wallpaper, though every time the room was about to be scheduled for some much needed maintenance some crisis or another would spring up and the room was urgently required. Thus the room existed with its tea stained table, its walls browned by nicotine and its near permanent haze of cigarette smoke and seeing countless meetings over the years. Since the onset of a series of interlinked conflicts known collectively as the Great Dienstad War the Morridane Cabinet had been meeting in the COBRA Room at least once a week. But the clouds of a regional war had receded as various talks and conferences got underway in an attempt to halt the conflicts and bring tensions back down to a simmer, yet the Cabinet had been called for a COBRA meeting.

"Thank you for coming gentlemen." Said Sir Gedney Hill, the Morridane Foreign Secretary and minister response for CI6 (the foreign intel section of Commonwealth Intelligence). "No doubt you are wondering why you have been called, allow me to explain."

"During the Mordent Conflict the United World Order invaded and conquered a large part of the former Red Star Union, giving them a foot in Eastern Dienstad and uncomfortably close to our doorstep. Our Mokan allies attempted to fight the Ordernite invasion but only succeeded in securing a small part of the RSU." Explained Sir Gedney. "A few days ago a couple of reports graced my desk and hence why we are here today."

"The Ordernites recently executed prisoners they captured during the invasion, mostly mercenaries but I have unconfirmed reports that Morridane citizens were among their ranks. Not enough to argue a case for intervention but the second report was that the Kingdom of Imbrinium as sent troops to aid the Mokan cause, though we can't rule out the Imbriniums using it as a way to strike at us some point in the future." Sir Gedney stated. "Either way you look at it we have a potential enemy in easy reach of New Garrack and thus a springboard to attack Morrdh itself."

"What course of action are you proposing Ged?" Asked Edmund Vermillion, the Prime Minister.

"Contacting our Mokan allies and seeing what help they require, though I suspect it'll likely be military based." Answered Sir Gedney. "They've been retraining and re-equipping surviving Union forces."

"I see..." Muttered Vermillion as he paused to think for a moment. "Any thoughts Nat?"

"Just the one." Answered Nathan Hay, the Minister of Defence. "Its clear from our run-in with the Ordernites in former Panooly that we'll end up having a skirmish with 'em at some point, ideally we want that to be on our terms rather than theirs. Though our intervention could prompt them to take action, but I'm sure the Mokans can provide what intel we need."

"Very well then." Said Vermillion. "Lets see what the Mokans have to say about our offer."

The meeting room was packed with military personal from three nations the People's Federal Army, the Union of Eastern Star Soviets military commanders and the Crown's commandos. Col. Bruno listen to the story's from both Moj.  Saragoza and the other leadership on the tactics used by UWO forces. The spooks recorded the meeting to make sure nothing was missed in the meeting.

Col. Bruno shook Maj. Saragoza hand and welcomed him for the chance to let the Crown and his forces help in this crisis.

“This is a chance for everyone here to get to know each other and to plan how to counter the threat of the UWO forces here.”

“Also I would like to ask if there is enough space to place our brigade here in the city along with a civil affairs group to help the people of the RSU.”

“Is the air field able to handle at least 20 inbound flights a day of men and equipment? If not is there some place we can use and store the massive amount of stuff coming in from the Crown?”

“Are forces are here to help and train but combat is in our ROE if push comes to shove, our brigade headquarters are setup about 5kms from here the rest of our forces are at the airport and other sites awaiting basing.”

“The bearded gentleman behind me is from the OAH his name slips my mind but he will introduce himself and their mission here”

A gentleman standing behind the colonel stepped up and spoke.

“I'm Arcuri that's about all you need to know name wise, we are here to get an idea of the threat here among other things. I have a question for the commanders here do you have EPW, if so where are they being housed and can we speak to them?”

OOC: Sorry so short trying out a open office program on my backup laptop.

A small town, 50km from Qadesh municipality limits,
South Panooly.

A new wave of terror brought on by the rebel actions in South Panooly begins to take shape...

Distant sporadic machine gun fire marked the still ever prevalent struggle between the rebel militias and government forces which for almost two months have fought a grueling battle for much of the country. So far the indigenous militias have been able to scour much of the country, carving out what they saw as their rightful territory and terrorizing those they saw different with or despised due to racial matters. Ethnic violence reigned during much of the initial fighting and grew further when even the border that officially separated North and South was broken by what remained of rebel forces in the north making a successful incursion into the South to continue what they had done originally against Templeton. It was one of the worst disasters that even the Ordenites were keeping under wraps until now as over the period of two months had been building up forces to take back what was rightfully theirs and to crush the rebels once and for all, to restore order to what had been lost in the mayhem. The Reich had been watching what had been going on in South Panooly since the root of the troubles had begun, although it had seemed to many that the Reich's attention was more focused on Kashubia and thus warranted the sudden pounce of the former regime's enemies.

The blame had thus far been placed completely on the incompetence of the South Panooly Defense Force's chiefs of staff which were comprised primarily of former Templeton commanders who were given a pardon in return to serve in the SPDF. Allowing the border to become compromised and thus allowing reinforcements for the once thought contained rebellion was what the Reich saw as the final straw and decided that it must intervene. The Waffen-SS were immediately called for mobilization in the east of the country along with arriving reinforcements of Free Corps paramilitaries and Fallschirmjager units. In so far the forces assembled by the Reich were several divisions of Waffen-SS which would serve as the backbone for the operation followed by the Free Corps paramilitaries who would act in their conjunction as light infantry and police units while the Fallschirmjager would be used in the grand scheme of how the country was going to be wrestled back into control. The nearest place of contention between rebel forces and the crumbling SPDF was a town no more than fifty kilometers away from Qadesh. SPDF forces fighting in and around the town were given strict orders to disengage the enemy and contain them within the town at a distance while Ordenite forces arrive to root out the rebels and liberate the town which had been called home for over 3,000 people.

Pouring in from what paved roads and or identified unpaved pathways to the town in a organized fashion was the 67th Waffen-SS Division's 1st Battalion which was fully mechanized and would be the first to make contact with rebel forces. The 1st Battalion had seen its fair share of what war had to offer when plunged into the dreaded battlefields of what was formerly called 'Red Star Union'. After receiving what information was evaluated from local SPDF commanders involved in the on-going siege of the town, the rebels in the town itself they estimated numbered possibly several hundred and were decently armed to a certain degree although their training was to be desired and that for the most part they have been engaging in street to street and house to house warfare in order to wear them down. A single TPz 255 Armored Reconnaissance Vehicle accompanied by a TPz Armored Personnel Carrier which was carrying its full compliment of crew advanced with caution down one of the main avenues of approach that one would enter the town from. The small party was immediately fired upon by entrenched rebel fighters which in return garnered the response from the two vehicles heavy machine guns and general purpose grenade launchers, acting in self defense. Rocket propelled grenades swooshed near the two vehicles as it was their sign to leave as the two parties exchanged small arms fire before the reconnaissance party retreated back to friendly lines amongst the rest of the 1st Battalion which was already preparing for a full on assault on the town.

The Battalion’s artillery contingent had already set up positions for battery and counter battery fire in support of the ground assault by the mechanized forces. HUMIT sources from the scout party that had been engaged would already have rebel positions on the outskirts of the town zero’d in by the Battalion's artillery which consisted of the Elephant Mobile Artillery and the more infantry based TPz 255 ‘Panzerwerfer’ which acted as readily available MLRS for frontline combat units in battle. A opening salvo of 155mm artillery shells and 280mm rockets rocked the town to the core as bellowing black smoke rose high into the air signifying the beginning of the ensuing battle to free the town of 3,000 from fanatical rebel fighters. Immediately following the opening salvo came the advance of the 1st Battalion which swooped in on the town from three sides.

Already the rebel fighters defending the town were beginning to crack as the 1st Battalion's initial assault had stunned and surprised them at best. Thus allowing the Waffen-SS to seize a good portion of the town in the opening strokes of the battle, but the rebels did not simply roll over and take it so to speak. Small arms fire and rocket propelled grenades along with more homemade remedies were utilized by the rebels against their new foes and to some degree they worked. Casualties were light for the SS as some had sustained non-life threatening injuries from shrapnel or bullet wounds, although the more unfortunate who sought out the rebels in the town’s crumbling infrastructure were mauled down by heavy small arms fire and booby traps. When encountering these hard points in the rebels defense, the Waffen SS simply employed artillery openly or pummeled the building to collapse with heavy fire from other vehicles at their disposal.

It would take no less than four hours before the town completely fell to the Waffen SS as they had acquired in their liberation a batch of rebel fighters who had surrendered to them out of fear and a lack of will to fight any longer against them. To the prisoners misfortune the 1st Battalion had no need for the taking of prisoners and instead rounded all 80 of them and executed them in the middle of the town and then to send a message to what actual townspeople remained, hung all 80 of the surrendered rebel fighters by every lamp post they could find or whatever they could hang them from. Just as they had came, they were leaving the now liberated town as what remained of SPDF forces in the area were allowed to better secure the town and await further instructions by soon to be arriving Free Corps Paramilitaries and additional Waffen SS that may pass by the town itself.

Canjunca, South Panooly.
A Rebel held city comes under siege...

Canjunca which lied no more than 200km from Qadesh it's self and the furthest known extent of the recent Ordenite offensive to crush the rebellion entirely. A city home to no more than 30,000 was now being occupied and used for shelter and a temporary stronghold by 2,500 rebel militants and a further 4,000 civilians who were recruited despite their age although most were male, into service with the more mediocre trained rebels. They had been promised freedom and filled with anger and resentment for the current de-facto government set up by a foreign power similar in regards to the former Templeton regime. The city in so far had been under their grasp for several weeks now and these rebels in particular had been lucky enough to scavenge off of dead SPDF soldiers or take abandoned weaponry from deserting or mutinied government soldiers, allowing them to gain more modern equipment and weaponry to defend themselves with. Canjunca was up to now completely left up to it's own devices as opposition to the city's fall into rebel hands had been slim over the past month following the sporadic behavior of the SPDF and the mass desertions and or mutinies among their ranks. The South Panooly Air Force however continued around the clock air strikes across the country and paid crucial attention to the larger population centers that the rebels were occupying as a source of man power and territory.

Recently however the Luftwaffe had begun flying sorties in conjunction with the SPAF in order to turn the tide and inflict severe casualties on the rebels. Canjunca for the past week had seen Luftwaffe air raids devastate parts of the city, killing or maiming not only rebel fighters but innocent civilians who found themselves stuck in the rebel held city. Crumbling infrastructure and already present poor conditions in the city only added to the problems faced with living in Canjunca as a civilian or a rebel fighter. Law and order was entirely based on mob rule and occasional lynching's of 'whities' and associated loyalists occurred day to day, public executions also were becoming a norm for much of the city. Looting and random acts of barbarity and violence reigned supreme since the initial takeover of Canjunca by rebel forces aligned with a newly claimed Warlord that went by the name 'Jaguar'. Small arms proliferation was abundant as the black market had made it's presence felt with local weapons dealers flocking to cities such as Canjunca looking to make small fortunes selling what weapons they possessed. Rebel factions such as the one in Canjunca run by the Warlord 'Jaguar' had access to military hardware such as mortars and limited numbers of artillery and basic anti tank weaponry and plenty of ammunition and munitions to last for months if rationed properly.

Temporary and or less adequate defenses had been made by the rebels in case of attack by the SPDF forces that remained loyal to the government. Much of their defense lied in occupying and crudely fortifying buildings that looked over key areas of the city, sparsely connected trenches and fox holes. Much of the limited artillery pieces that the rebels did have to their disposal were housed and positioned in the center of Canjunca in which they would be used to cover much of the outlying sections of the city it's self. Other than that some streets that fed into the city became defensive positions themselves and were heavily barricaded and defended by rebel fighters armed with machine guns and anti tank weaponry. So when moderately heavy artillery fire begun raining down on the city followed by intense Luftwaffe and SPAF air raids, the rebels quickly readied themselves for a battle to the death with their enemy. The artillery fire and air raids went on for what seemed as eternity before all went silent and the low hums of engines and the rumble of vehicles became apparent that their foe was beginning their assault on Canjunca it's self.

The 67th Waffen SS Division was once again plunged into the fight and was now tasked with taking on the rebel held city of Canjunca. Unlike their first engagement with the rebels in a town nearest to the capital, the entirety of the 67th was being put into the fight in order to clear the city of the rebels. Canjunca was to be assaulted in waves with each wave consisting of a full mechanized battalion and under the cover of artillery and periodic air raids conducted by the Luftwaffe, the first battalion begun it's advance on the southern portion of the city. TPz 255's along side Puma 234 IFVs spear headed the first wave of the initial assault and as rebel small arms fire and mortars begun homing in on the advancing battalion, the Puma 234's 50mm auto cannons opened up delivering destructive results upon what rebel firing positions they could identify. One of the forward TPz 255's suddenly comes to a burning halt as a rocket propelled grenade impacts the left side of the vehicle's front bumper, taking out the left wheel completely. It's 7.92mm machine gun continues to bark loudly as high velocity rounds are spit out in return towards the rebels firing at them.

A low flying Lu-95 aircraft swoops through the raging battlefield unleashing a plethora of air to ground missiles that wreck havoc on the urban environment below which had been confirmed as rebel firing positions, large chunks of what was before part of a section of buildings crumbles down into the ground in a hail of debris and thick smoke. The first wave begins to penetrate the first layer of the cities southern defenses as the battalion's complement of Waffen-SS soldiers disembark from their transport vehicles and begin securing minor positions. The bare bones of any Waffen-SS unit was the Trupp or otherwise known as 'Troop' and consisted of 10 or even 20 soldiers, a typical troop was made of 2 light machine gunners in which such units were made around. Accompanying the two were several riflemen and a Sergeant with a corporal which essentially acted as the command structure for the most basic fighting unit in the Wehrmacht. Immediately the Waffen SS were plunged into bitter street fighting with the enemy as every street was fought for, tooth and nail.

"MG5 one and two suppress, everyone else get your asses moving forward!" Corporal Helmuth barked at his fellow men he held seniority over. Training his aim towards the make shift barricade that was occupied by a dozen or so rebel fighters firing sporadically at the advancing SS soldiers, Helmuth fired off a short burst of 7.95mm before moving along with the Troop himself. The pair of MG5 gunners positioned themselves on either side of the street in the prone position, utilizing their bipod to put down accurate suppressing fire on the barricade. The rebels seemed to scatter like rats as the hail of lead tore through their barricade hitting several of them out right. The rest of the troop continued advancing up the street stopping every few seconds in order to let off a burst of automatic fire to keep the rebels head down. The barrel of a TK-60 stuck out of one of the surrounding building's windows and rained a burst of lead below on the advancing troop.

One SS soldier took two rounds through the top of his own helmet blowing the top of his skull open as he fell face first onto the street. Another was shot in the back as he too fell over from the sudden ambush. Helmuth and the Sargent took little time issuing new orders to deal with the new threat, "Stay out of the street!, keep to the sidewalk!". Suddenly the rebels had managed to regroup at the bullet hole riddled barricade and begun firing on the SS from the front now, Helmut with quick thinking drove his shoulder hard through a door and ushered the Sargent and any others from his Troop inside. A melancholy of gunfire and explosions played all around them as the 1st Battalion in had seemingly become bogged down after covering 3 to 4 blocks of the southern portion of the city, the second wave was already making it's way as reinforcements with another round of artillery fire coming in. Looking outside, a Puma 234 came to a halt as it's auto cannon fed the rebel position 50mm rounds all the while a batch of SS soldiers advanced forward through the thick of it.

"Let's go let's go" The sergeant ordered as Helmut relayed those orders more aggressively as they scrambled out of the building and joined up with what seemed to be another troop, although the SS in the immediate area was now almost at platoon strength. The Puma 234 jolted forward as it moved to support the surrounding infantry who continued to push further into the city. Suddenly the next street ahead of them begun to take artillery fire and the platoon halted as the street was pummeled with artillery fire, once it passed they continued onwards. Canjunca was now a city under siege as the battle would continue to rage on into the evening before a general stalemate would be reached and a proper front line could be crudely established between the two warring parties. Occasional rocket fire from Panzerwerfer's kept the rebels on edge and hoped to prevent them from feeling too comfortable and or safe where they were, as periodic flights from Luftwaffe ground attack aircraft also became some what common too as the battle for Canjunca would soon slip into it's second day.

South East Canjunca, Industrial Sector, South Panooly.
The 2nd Battalion spear heads a breakthrough to capture the city's Industrial district...

Canjunca's Industrial Sector was quite different from the rest of the city. Tucked away in the south eastern part of the city and more open then the cluttered narrow streets seen in the other low lying areas of the city. In the distance smoke bellowed from the fighting that was continuing for a second day now and showed no signs of stopping either. In so far the rebels tactics were working and the 67th Waffen SS division was beginning to become bogged down in the southern parts of the city and gaining little to no ground to make a overall difference in the battle. The Division's headquarters had laid out a new daring plan to get the assault on the city going with momentum again, they formulated that the Industrial Sector of the city was hardly defended by rebel forces and would make the most sensible place for a breakthrough to springboard deeper into Canjunca. Thus a single company from the 2nd Battalion would take on the Industrial Sector and secure it at all costs, the company would also have artillery support and frequent Luftwaffe coverage as well for the assault.

Approaching the Industrial Sector it's self came the Waffen SS company in which it's troops were ferried by TPz 255 transports. Along side them were Panther II Main Battle Tanks, Puma 234 Infantry Fighting Vehicles and the menacing SturmTiger II which was a combat assault vehicle that utilized a 380mm rocket shell that could send buildings collapsing entirely from a direct hit by a SturmTiger II. The Industrial District had already been a previous victim of Luftwaffe air sorties and artillery fire as the company advanced closer to the area and soon came under small arms fire and rocket propelled grenades. Return fire was immediate and deadly as the Panther II's fired their 120mm main guns at what rebel positions they could target off the bat, suppressing others with 12.7mm machine gun fire as well. The most noticeable rebel fighting position was a large crumbling factory building which was proving quite difficult to dislodge the enemy from.

"Requesting artillery fire on. Direction 5143, distance 2110, down 42, over." A spotter transmitted on his radio as the Company continued it's engagement with what rebel defenders were present in the Industrial District. Inevitably a whining sound came in over the enemy position before the explosion seconds afterwards as Elephant Mobile Artillery batteries had opened fire on the factory building with 155mm shells. Many of the rounds hit the factory head on as it began to give way with chunks of it coming down to the ground in a cloud of dust. On and around the factory building the artillery shells continued to fall with impressive results, although it would be the infantry's job to thoroughly clear it out of any remaining rebel militants hiding in the rubble and carnage. The company had breached the Industrial district and it's compliment of mechanized infantry begun pouring in and taking the fight to the rebel militants themselves. Heavy small arms fire reigned throughout the district as the Waffen SS soldiers engaged the rebel defenders in impressive fire fights.

"Where's the Panzerfaust?! Get it up here now!" Someone demanded as a single Waffen SS soldier came up with a Panzerfaust 3 'Bunkerfaust' and prepared it to fire a 110mm projectile. Being pointed to a concrete building with a small opening in it which seemed to be the origin of machine gun fire that had been pinning down some of the Waffen SS in their advance through the Industrial District. Squeezing the trigger on the Pzf 3 Bunkerfaust the 110mm warhead propelled out of the tube and rocketed towards the slit opening part of the building in question and with such force it impacted the building with a bellowing explosion. Once the building's machine gun was silenced the Waffen SS continued their onslaught. Already two TPz 255 transports had been knocked out of action by rebel AT weapons, casualties amongst the company were relatively low with a dozen or so dead or wounded in so far. Here the Sturmtiger II would make it's presence known as it fired it's main gun letting a 380mm rocket shell fly out towards another rebel position, impacting the position which was some sort of processing plant went up in a fiery explosion which sent debris flying in all directions and a large bellowing pillar of smoke in it's wake.

The rebel defenders had begun retreating further north as they were being methodically chased and hunted down by the Waffen SS. Here and there a small group or lone rebels would offer surrender to Waffen SS troops, in which they would be immediately shot on sight or executed else where. Over head a pair of Lu-95 aircraft swept over the Industrial district before releasing their payload of Air to ground munitions on exposed rebel fighting positions, it was already common knowledge that the Industrial district was in Ordenite hands and most if any fighting left was rooting out stubborn elements of the rebels that had yet to retreat or be killed by the Ordenites themselves. Already much of the 2nd Battalion was beginning to be funneled through the Industrial district and advancing towards more deeper rebel positions in Canjunca.

Military Records Office
Susol, Union of Eastern Star Soviets

Major Bruce Zu of Federal Army Intelligence looked down at the patterns of red in the white snow around the dead officer only a few steps away of the records office. Around him military personnel from both the PUF and the Red Amy had secured the area while forensics officers put the crime scene together. Thanks to CCTV footage from the records office and the location of the bullet in the ground, it wasn't hard to find the particular apartment the shot came from. As of now his people were looking into the people who had been given housing assignments to that apartment complex, but the room where the shot had come from was temporarily unassigned. Yet residents of the apartment complex seemed to recall a man who lived there. His agents would continue interviewing the locals, trying to get a feel for the man who lived in the unassigned apartment. No weapon had been found so far, leaving the police to look for a man with any rifle shaped luggage. Buses and other public transport were now on alert to keep an eye out for such a thing. Cars were still rare and no one claims to have seen any other than State Security/Military in the area for some time, but they all were still being stopped and searched in the city at the normal checkpoints.

Zu reached down the body and pulled the Velcro flap on the body's right arm down, revealing the rank, name and unit of the corpse. ""Captain....Jorge Barbosa...Company KD. It seems that you must have broken protocol somehow and let a foreign sniper identify you." Closing the flap Zu looked up to the location the shot came from and then back the body. "Now I see why the Mokans have always been paranoid about Officer identification. Took the shot right to the back of the skull even. Should have been wearing a helmet." He said with a light poke.

Zu examined the footprints in the snow. Barbosa walked dead center of his escorts, and headed straight for the door. Byt the door, the single guard for the record office stood, still on duty despite the fact a soldier had died right in front of him. That could explain why the young looking conscript had a face of mild confusion and discomfort.

"Excuse me, young man, yes, you guarding the door. Tell me, did you salute this man?"

The conscript had a look of shock when he realized the Asian gentlemen in PUF military garb was talking to him. He didn't respond, only looked from left to right, hoping someone was around.

"Oh, lo Siento," Zu switched to Russian, "Did you salute this man when he arrived?"

A few seconds passed before the conscript muttered a small "Da"

"And did he salute back?"

"...Da"

"Thank you."

Zu turned his attention back to the body below him.

"They gave you every advantage: no ceremonial uniforms, uniforms that match every soldiers in this army, from the lowly Privates to Generalissimo Gorbechov. A way to hide your rank, unit and information, and a culture of blending the officers and enlisted cohesively into one unit JUST to avoid THIS particular scenario. Yet here you are, because you chose to ignore those requirements because it was easier. Probably was nice to feel the power foreign officers get over their underlings wasn't it? Now I have to hunt down your killer, and help Generalissimo Salazar reinforce the military deployment requirements. Let's just hope that you're the last officer killed off due to his own stupidity."

Vehicles were still becoming common again in the Union. With most oil production in the South, petrol and oil was mostly imported from Mokastana and other PUF nations. Private cars were still typically reserved for important figures, while the majority of people rode the buses, subways and trains. The latter two typically had police and political officers assigned to the routes, to monitor them for suspicious activity. However buses were harder to investigate. As such, Police check points had become commonplace in the new Soviet government.

Set up at key intersections and along various routes, buses were required to hit a couple every route. No one on board left home without their papers, and those that did would be escorted to a police station where the situation could be resolved. Many soldiers training for the Commissar Corps were given police work as part of their training such as this. Occasionally police units at checkpoints were given orders to search for certain individuals or items, but it was all part of living in the modern Zvezdan State.

A radio crackled to life, informing officers to be on the lookout for anyone with bags that might carry rifle parts. A pretty common order but it was stressed a shooting had taken place and a terrorist was on the loose. The officers checked their AKs and waved the next bus to arrive down. As usual the bus slowed and opened it does for a pair of officers. The two quickly boarded, enjoying the warmth of the bus over the chilly weather they endured standing at a check point all day.

“Attention everyone, please present your papers and open any large bags for inspection.” the officer said before beginning the routine checks.

Generalissimo Salazar looked through the prepared pamphlet that gave vague overviews of the country he now occupied. Civilian figures were not particularly important to him, as he did his best to allow local government to manage things as they needed, but his guests were quite keen on learning about the local culture and how to bring 'democracy' to it. Like that would ever happen. Zvezdans were a cynical people, and rightly so, they would not believe their vote mattered even if they were given a choice. Someone would take advantage of the situation and become a dictator. Albeit a dictator backed by ballots(in addition to bullets), but some people held to their naive beliefs that everyone would benefit from the 'blessing' of democracy even if some of those people still had their own queen.

He flipped to the page on military numbers, not particularly excited by those facts either. On paper the Soviet Army had room for 8 million men, with the option to expand another Army Group to add an additional million troops. In truth, the entire Soviet Army sat just above five million, with the offensive focused divisions typically only at 50% percent strength. Total Army Strength was 63.8%. The locals were recruiting and slowly increasing that number, but after the last war very few wanted to be the first to die in the event of invasion. At least the next batch of conscripts would be graduating public school soon and ready to be shipped off to basic.

At least the upgrading of local forces was coming along nicely, if slowly. Local Air Force had over 500 Warhawks in it now, with over 2K additional fighters, though the numbers on how many of those were combat ready was questionable. Bomber groups looked relatively good at least. The local Navy was just strong enough to handle coastal defense and maybe a few Carrier groups, but they would need Mokan Naval support to truly resist the enemy. At least the army was looking modern. Numerous divisions in the army forces were now fielding LY10s tanks and larger. Rockets forces commanded Lamonian Contrado Missiles and Lyran style launchers. Infantry were receiving Interceptor Body Armor on mass scale with up to date rifles. The AY144L with its 6.5x45mm JMC was becoming standard in the front line units, but many of the older units were still being issued AKMs. The Mokan AM-07, with its Kalashikov style body and 7.62x54m round was favored for its ease of fitting into the current supply lines, but was still finding its place in the doctrine, other than as a Body Armor Defeating Rifle. Still, only five million local troops when they needed at least eight.

"This, this is going to be a tough time in case the Ordernites march north."

At least Salazar had his own Army Group in theatre, nearly a million Federal soldiers on the front and training the locals, with a large portion around Susol in the South. Another decent group of his troops were stationed outside of Vostok at the training ground "Zorya Vechernyaya," the evening star. It was at this camp that the Morridane trainers would begin working. For one, it kept the Kingdom's troops separated from the Commonwealth's. While both promised no trouble, it was best to minimize the probability of issues. For two, it allowed the Morridanes quicker access to the Capital. Given that they wished to influence local politics, a closer look might convince them otherwise.

Major Saragoza listened and responded to the various questions coming from the Imbrinium soldiers. They were good questions, most had answers, but some did not, but being a liaison meant he had to be able to find the proper, if not answers, then solutions.

“Also I would like to ask if there is enough space to place our brigade here in the city along with a civil affairs group to help the people of the RSU.”

He had to remember that foreign brigades equaled roughly one Federal Regiment.

“The Local Soviet Council is working on finding a suitable, permanent, location for your forces. So far we have a decent camp set up north east of this base for your forces. But the local council is who you want to see regarding civil affairs.”

“Is the airfield able to handle at least 20 inbound flights a day of men and equipment? If not is there some place we can use and store the massive amount of stuff coming in from the Crown?”

“Local airport should be able to handle that, at least until civilian traffic picks up again in a few years. We are building a military Air base for that eventuality.”

“Our forces are here to help and train but combat is in our ROE if push comes to shove, our brigade headquarters are setup about 5kms from here the rest of our forces are at the airport and other sites awaiting basing.”

“We would expect nothing less, I already had to do that once when my first training ground was overran. If the Ordernites push north, we will be fighting right along side our students.”

“The bearded gentleman behind me is from the OAH his name slips my mind but he will introduce himself and their mission here”

“I'm Arcuri that's about all you need to know name wise, we are here to get an idea of the threat here among other things. I have a question for the commanders here do you have EPW, if so where are they being housed and can we speak to them?”

Saratoga smiled at the mention of the EPWs.

“All prisoners were transferred North to the holding camps in the mountains. I'm sure we can organize a visit.”

Somewhere in Central Kashubia

Lieutenant Major Huemac Mendoza aimed the rifle down range towards the group of civilians working. It was sad really. Had things worked out differently, these souls could have been good servants to the Soviets, but fate was against them. It wasn’t their fault, hardly anything in this world was. They were simply good drones who did what they could. Much like the ants to obey the orders of their queen, these poor souls obeyed their masters, doing the maintenance to the colony and working together to strengthen it. But worker ants were different than soldier ants. Soldier ants fought to defend their colony, to enslave other ants and destroy rival colonies. They would chew through worker ants without a second thought to bring their own queen victory. It was a harsh world, a world where only the strong survive. This strength is what ensured the Natuls survived Spanish Extermination, Inquisition, Mokan Empires and more. He put the crosshairs over a man helping to maintain the pipe, keeping it still as the drill pressed into the ground. The ant working with his fellow ants to drain the black life blood of the earth, the same blood that breathed life into the modern war machines and industry of the world. This black blood was important to the Ordernites, for Kashubia would be supplying most of the needs for the Fascist Empire. For the Rival colony.

The shot rang out as red mixed with the dirt of the oil workers. Other shots rang out. Those that were not hit in the first volley ran for cover, or ran away. They were worker ants, their place was not in war. Their goal was to survive to serve their colony in the future. It was a soldier’s job to ensure that they didn’t. Breath in, breath out, fire, breath in, breath out, fire. Huemac continued the pattern going from worker to worker, watching them drop one after another in pink mist. Down range, two of his fellow soldiers stormed the derrick, shooting to kill anyone they could find. It didn’t take long to turnt the oil derrick into a scene of carnage. His men were good at what they did. And though he knew little about oil derrick operations, he had a few engineers who could help him bring the derrick down. They didn’t need explosives, not when the very target relies on high pressure underground and oil. Once inside, the team went to work, screwing up the various items that kept the rig safe, breaking safety measures, cutting lines, and destroying controls. Eventually the rig would collapse on itself, or destroy itself well enough to keep it out of commission for a while.

None of the workers would be cut apart into sacrifices, for they were not worthy. The God’s only wanted brave warriors killed in battle, not drones cut down to harm the enemy. If enough of the drones got killed, then the warriors would come out and the true sacrificing could begin. Until then, the leather masked warriors would continue to haunt the countryside until they were finally called by Mictlantecuhtli to serve in the next life.

Town of Pevashevkha, 20KM from Ordenite-UESS Demarcation line, Kashubia.
Fieldmarschall Albert Becker discusses the current situation between Kashubia and the UESS in a meeting with Ordenite commanders...

Since the early hours of the morning security around the town of Pevashevkha had increased greatly. A single military jeep arrived in front of a well maintained two story residence that had been dubbed the Headquarters of Heer and Waffen SS forces should hostilities resume and so it was only de-facto in name. Coming out of the jeep was of course the man of the hour Alfred Becker who currently is the highest ranking man in the Wehrmacht who possesses complete authority over combat operations in Kashubia and the entirety of former RSU under the rank of Fieldmarschall. He wore the usual military jarb of a Fieldmarschall although it was recommended that wearing anything resembling a high ranking officer should not be worn due to continuing guerilla attacks by Mokan loyal forces who some what still operate in Kashubia. Coming inside of the house hold he was directed upstairs and to the left inside what seemed to be a sitting room although a large oak table sat in the middle of the room with chairs filled with Ordenite commanders who represented the Chiefs of Staff for Ordenite forces in Kashubia. They represented the Heer and the Waffen SS and even the Luftwaffe and Kreigsmarine were here to see out the meeting about the current situation.

"Gentlemen I'm sure you all know why we are all gathered here and that I have brought you all here assembled before me to remind everyone of the current situation involving Kashubia and our enemies in the UESS supported by Mokan state actors of course." Fieldmarschall Becker begun as the commanders sitting around the table begun listening quietly as he continued to speak. A projector was behind him where he stood as someone clicked a remote and the projector turned on and flashed on the screen a map of the RSU. The Fieldmarschall stepped to the side and with a laser pointer device underlined the current demarcation line.

"As I have come to understand through more thorough analysis is that we currently have a force of a little over 3 million combat personnel in an area with a width and length of no more than 200 kilometers." He said and then nodded to the man with the remote who switched the image to a geographical map of the area. The Fieldmarschall highlighted with his laser pointer the mountain to the direct south east. "We have mountain capable fighting troops in these mountains correct?" he asked before one of the commanders responded "Yes Herr Fieldmarschall."

The slide on the projector changed once again showing several shaded in areas in red marking where suspected and confirmed IRA elements are known to operate in. This information was gotten from previous reconnaissance and HUMNIT sources in the civilian population. Much of the shaded areas were in vast sections of New Impen and Gryazanaya along with the immediate surrounding area. KDF patrols and minor sweep and clear operations have been conducted in these areas although are mostly minor successful due to the vastness of the areas they operate in. "The remaining areas of resistance to us, do we have forces actively searching for these rebels?" The Fieldmarschall asked to the commanders in the room.

"Yes Herr Fieldmarschall, we plan that once the Army take over demarcation duties for the Waffen SS. That we will have more available manpower to press the rebels and where they operate, sooner bringing their complete demise or capture." One of the Army commanders explained. Becker responded positively to the answer given to him and nodded his head several times before the slide changed. The projector was now showing the full demarcation line it's self marked with positions of the Ordenite Wehrmacht and what positions could be discovered on the UESS side which included static defenses and troop locations, a lightly shaded part of the UESS side was marked as a possible mine field although that was left up to questioning. It further showed questionable locations of possible FOBs and had lines of said concentrations linked back to Susol which had a star over it.

"Now from what our military intelligence has been able to gather on our neighbors. Much of what is marked here is questionable and is not 100 percent concrete. I hope that with our efforts with further military intelligence operations that we can confirm what exactly is beyond the fencing. It would certainly be what could decide the fate of Kashubia in the case of further hostilities between the Reich and the PUF." The Fieldmarschall explained and nodded to the fellow commanders around the room. With that the meeting was adjourned and Alfred Becker soon left for transport back to Western Kashubia.

The Demarcation Line, "Kashubia-UESS Border" , Central Eastern Dienstad.
The Ordenite Army takes over Demarcation duties from the Waffen SS...

For much the previous night and most of the current day the Ordenite frontlines was under-going a significant change in who would be manning it. The Waffen SS which numbered close to two million combat personnel had originally since the war ended had manned the frontlines and what is now called the 'Demarcation Line'. Now with developments about Kashubia's future and order given straight from Fieldmarschall Alfred Becker and the OKW the Waffen SS would be moving deeper into Kashubia while the Ordenite Army would be assuming positions on the demarcation line. Over the last month a million or so Ordenite Army troops had been shipped over from South Panooly to match the numbers of the Waffen SS in Kashubia. Making the total number of Wehrmacht combat personnel over 4 million in all, RSU would now be the second occasion on which the Wehrmacht has had to deploy vast numbers of it's forces in a conflict. The Kashubian Defense Forces currently consisted of around two million after large recruitment drives and other incentives to get the populace to enlist in order to take part in the defense of their new country.

This therefore drove the total amount of combat forces capable of being utilized in a theoretical confrontation between the Reich and the PUF to 6 million or so as of now. 200 to 400 kilometers south of the Demarcation Line was the extent of front line forces currently contributing to the overall defense of the country in the case of a break in the ceasefire. Now their had been quite the shift in forces with the Ordenite Army now moving into former Waffen SS positions, things would be done slightly differently by the Army. The Waffen SS would be sent further down south to assume the former positions of the Army and take over other needed tasks such as partisan suppression operations which in so far were being done mainly by the KDF. Men and materials of war had been moved either north or south and from a good vantage point in the sky or on a mountain top it all looked similar to high ants moved in large lines carrying food back to their ant hill.

The Ordenite Army would begin assuming control over much of the duties carried out on the Demarcation line. Patrols and outposts along much of the Ordenite logistical network were now being assumed by Ordenite Army soldiers. Ordenite Army engineers would also be employed along the greater defensive lines and would be beginning to work out positions of future static defenses such as pill boxes and bunkers. Further back behind the lines were more excavating of future static defenses that would be further manned by the Army in general.

Sabotaged Oil Derrick, Kashubian Oil Fields, Kashubia.
A Investigation of the sabotage and the killings of several workers and security personnel alarm Reich Petroleum...

A dozen or more bodies draped in white sheets laid on the ground near the now sabotaged Oil Derrick. Several workers and three security personnel were killed in a savage attack that also cost a Oil Derrick which is now out of commission for possibly several months. Three military camouflaged jeeps and a black sedan sat idle near by as Reich Petroleum security personnel and several men in black trench coats stood around the scene of the attack. One of them held a clear plastic bag which within it contained all the shell casings that came from the attacker's weapons and would soon be sent back to forensics personnel to examine exactly what was used. The bodies themselves would also soon come under forensic scrutiny to better understand how the attack was orchestrated and again find out what weaponry the attackers used. The black trench coat men were part of the criminal investigation division of the Reich Main Security Office in which already had established offices and facilities in nearly every city in Western Kashubia. Due to the fact that Reich Petroleum employees were killed and that this was no regular murder and that most likely was some sort of partisan attack on it's facilities in Kashubia, the RMSO's criminal division was therefore required to take on the investigation.

"They were all killed it seemed, the workers. At a fair amount of range and with what I can tell by the entry and exit wounds by high caliber weapons." One of the RMSO men said before continuing as another colleague followed him. "The three security personnel also killed near the evident breach in the fence were also shot in similar fashion, high caliber weaponry and at a fair distance." He continued as he walked up and down the row of bodies that now laid lifeless before them on the ground. The two then stood next to the small room that stored the control panels and all the required technology to operate the Oil Derrick, wires had been yanked out of where they were and obvious sabotage was quite apparent with the damage sustained. The actual Oil Derrick had partially collapsed due to it and was cornered off with security tape and was awaiting immediate repairs by Reich Petroleum engineers. The man pointed around the interior of the room, "As you can see these killers are not your average killers. They know what they are doing and no explosives were used in this attack, all they did was tamper with the controls and violated obvious safety protocols to ensure the Derricks collapse."

His colleague interjected as they left the blood stained room. "So they came here with a purpose other than killing these men?" The other nodded as they stopped feet before the row of bodies.

"They are most likely the foreign partisans that our security forces have been looking for. Since the end of the war and even during we began to acknowledge these kinds of attacks, most likely planned. Our agencies have been tracking their movements or attempting to at least, the last we had known of their presence was somewhere near Yuktar and now they have made it to here. I suspect they are still in the area, the bodies are fairly fresh. A few hours or so." The man said. One of the other men then called out to them to get their attention and he did.

"I think I've figured out where they were firing from!" he called out as the others looked to where he was on what seemed to be on a small incline which looked almost like a hill. They then walked up the hill and joined their fellow colleague looking down at the scene from his point of view.

"So I was noticing that much of the shell casings came from this spot. I also figured that this was about the right distance that the shots were coming from in relation to where the bodies were when we arrived here."

"I think we know what we need to know here. I will file a proper report later on and after we get a good autopsy done on our victims. Looks like were back on their trail again, hopefully these scum can be found and dealt with before they try and ruin anything else." Soon enough the bodies were taken away to a RMSO facility and security was beefed up but not just the normal Reich Petroleum security personnel but actual private contractors who made up a Ordenite based PMC firm in Tarn in which Reich Petroleum had since the attack signed for a contract for the tightening of security of the Oil Fields. At least 1,000 Military contractors were contracted for the assignment which it's duration would be how ever long it took to ensure that the Oil Fields would not be tampered with or harmed ever again. Even then with it being allowed and made official by the RMSO, it had created a special Einatzgruppen of 300 elite Ordenite soldiers mostly from the Waffen SS and the Fallschirmjager to assist in following the partisan's trail and ensuring that they would inevitably be killed in combat before what ever objective they had would end and that they would possibly theoretically try to escape with precious information.

South West Canjunca, Suburbia District, South Panooly.
1st Battalion faces determined resistance by seemingly ever fanatical rebel elements...

The 1st Battalion which had been one of the first waves that initiated combat for Canjunca against the rebels had been for almost two days now locked in hellish combat with a seemingly more fanatical element of the rebel defenders. It was also reported by local SPDF commanders who had been through the rebel assault to take the city that elements of the SPDF had mutinied during the battle and had joined forces with the rebels in taking the city for themselves. In so far the 1st Battalion had been slowly grinding their way through the Suburbia of the city, rows upon rows of poor housing and small businesses were their battlefield and a source of shelter and fighting positions for either side. The pitter patter of automatic gunfire was ever present here and in the distance as fighting raged all throughout the southern portions of the city that the 67th Waffen-SS were assaulting. Lately however the rebels have been utilizing heavy mortar fire in order to slow down the 1st Battalion's steady advance through the suburbs, although counter battery fire from TPz 255 mortar carriers had mostly been able to silence them. The rebels in the area of the 1st Battalion were mostly in separate clusters spread about the suburbs and not as unified as reported in other parts of the city by fellow battalions.

Moving in some what single file line on either side of the street in one of the neighborhoods was Erich Trummer who in the Waffen SS so far is a Oberschutze or otherwise known in rank as a Private First Class. Armed with his bulky but ever trusty MG4 Light Machine Gun he walked through the neighborhood with his fellow Troop as another walked parallel to them on the other side of the road. Slowly advancing up the road at the same pace as the infantry was two TPz 255 transports. The road ahead seemed to bend towards another area of the neighborhood and although nothing so far stirred, many felt that something was soon to happen. Trummer adjusted the strap on his MG4 as he let his neck support it's weight while cradling it in his arms, Canjunca had been the most fighting he'd seen so far in his deployment. Just before this he was relaxing with his fellow friends back near the coast and not very much worrying about what was happening further in country. He only hoped that he would make it out of the city alive and that the Division would soon defeat the rebel defenders.

A low whining sound was picked up by the man in front of Trummer as he cried, "Mortars!" and then the mortar round impacted the road ahead sending pieces of the road and shrapnel flying. The men scattered for some form of cover against the mortar barrage that had zero'd their position in, some broke down doors and entered houses themselves as others got down on the ground in the prone position or further towards the houses for shelter. The two TPz 255 transports begun reversing back from the falling mortar rounds, a rocket propelled grenade missed the lead transport by inches and impacted a house and then did a seemingly large group of rebel fighters appear and begun opening fire. Trummer had taken refuge near the side of one of the nearby houses when the gunfire picked up intensively and then had a Unteroffizier shout at him to lay down machine gun fire on the exposed rebels firing their TK-60 assault rifles. Trummer squeezed the trigger spitting out 7mm rounds rapidly at the rebel fighters as two rebels went down from his aim.

Again mortars started to fall but closer this time as one landed near one of the transports sending shrapnel against the vehicle, although it did little to it. Trummer continued to fire his MG4 as the Unteroffizier also fired his G36 assault rifle as well, the rebel group begun to get picked apart by superior Ordenite fire power as they started to retreat further down the road and towards the bend. "Don't let them escape!" someone shouted as the Waffen-SS soldiers begun pushing up on the retreating rebels, firing at them as they did. Suddenly from the bend a truck roared into sight with what seemed to be a heavy machine gun bolted down in the back as the rebel gunner opened fire on the advancing SS infantry and the retreating rebels started to regroup. Two men immediately were cut down as the HMG opened up on them, Trummer immediately opened fire with his MG4 aiming specifically for the drivers cabin as the truck jolted forward to escape. One of the TPz 255's pushed forward as some of the infantry tagged along behind it for cover as they begun advancing towards the bend.

The gun truck made it's appearance again as the TPz 255's MG3 gunner opened fire on the truck completely. A soldier suddenly went out from behind the Transport and quickly aimed a Panzerfaust 3 at the driver's cabin of the vehicle and fired a 110mm projectile. The truck went up in flames followed by a fiery explosion as the rebels quickly made a hasty retreat down the bend and away from the advancing Waffen-SS.

15 Kilometers East of Canjunca, Rebel Encampment, South Panooly.
A Fallschirmjager Company assaults a Rebel Encampment serving as a staging ground for rebel reinforcements to Canjunca.

Over the past two hours the 200 man Fallschirmjager Company had been maneuvering into position surrounding a known rebel encampment near Canjunca which had been identified as a rebel staging ground for reinforcements to the defenders of the city it's self. The encampment it's self was quite the place for a staging area and the number of rebels that were congregated here possibly outnumbered or rivaled the number of Fallschirmjager that now surrounded them, awaiting the order to strike them. Surprise however was firmly with the Fallschirmjager as they were in more favorable positions then the rebels within the encampment which also had several vehicles and stationary machine gun emplacements for defense measures. The Fallschirmjager's objective was to completely raze it to the ground completely and kill all rebels that are present within it, no prisoners could afford to be taken in this operation. It begun with mortar fire raining down sporadically inside the encampment as following the initial salvos came heavy machine gun fire from the rebels perspective, everywhere as the rebels caught out in the open were cut down in the machine gun fire or from shrapnel due to the mortar fire.

A mortar shell suddenly exploded in one of the rebel MG nests, spraying it's operators with shrapnel and other debris. The rebels here were greatly disorganized and surprised from the sudden attack that was now developing before them. Once their stationary MG nests were taken out either by mortar rounds or Panzerfaust 3 rockets, the paratroopers begun closing the noose around the encampment and continued putting up accurate suppressive fire. Sporadic and quite desperate return fire opposed the paratroopers in turn as the rebels general reaction was to 'spray and pray' , suddenly one of the vehicles took a direct hit from a Panzerfaust 3 before another hit caused it to explode. Soon enough the rebels numbers in the encampment began to dwindle as their numbers were being cut down rapidly by the attacking Fallschirmjager, who spared no one in their ferocious attack. Those that tried to flee from the ambush would for the most part be killed as the paratroopers picked them off as they tried to run away into the surrounding jungle brush in which the 200 paratroopers now occupied and had created a ring around the encampment which proved successful in catching fleeing rebels.

It didn't take long before the encampment was overrun by the surrounding paratroopers which were stepping over the bullet and or shrapnel riddled corpses of the rebels that once inhabited it. The entire ambush lasted for thirty minutes and ended in over 500 rebels being annihilated by a smaller although more superior in firepower and training force in which that being the Fallschirmjager. Canjunca's fate had by now been fully sealed in the iron grip of the Ordenite Wehrmacht.

Morridane Forces Zvezda
Camp Vostok
Codename: "Zorya Vechernyaya"
Union of Eastern Star Soviets

The first units to arrive of the fledging 'Morridane Forces Zvezda' was a couple of field squadrons of the Royal Morridane Engineers who's job it was to adapt the camp to Morridane standards and construct additional billets. Plus there was an advance party from the Royal Morridane Air Force and an airfield construction squadron to setup an airbase next to the camp, the airbase would serve as a RMAF run flight training school as well as allowing Morridane transport flights to operate out of it. Eventually defences such as pillboxes and SAM batteries would be constructed in case of a possible Ordernite attack some point in the future.

Aside from its training role, Camp Vostok was to be the home of Morridane Forces Zvezda with the camp initially housing an infantry brigade of the Morridane Army. Gradually the number of Morridane troops would increase as the Commonwealth built up its contribution to the defence of the Union, not anywhere close to the Mokan presence but it was offset to a degree by allowing Mokan aircraft to stage through New Garrack and use RNGAF fuel stocks and thus simplifying the logistics. The RMAF had also offered the use of its Short Belfast and C-130 Hercules fleets to transport Mokan troops and supplies to help sweeten the deal.

Radio was a common form of communication in old Red Star Union. With its large central plains working well to allow radio programs to broadcast far and wide; reaching a majority of the population with ease. In the north, the mountains had a habit of messing with signals, blocking certain areas at certain times, or preventing one village from hearing a show but not the one a few miles west. Such was life in Old Red Star Union. Even in those days, there were certain radio stations you could only catch at certain times, playing a random string of numbers or names, letters or places, otherwise it would be static or strange sounds coming from a microphone somewhere lost in the country. After the fall of Red Star Union, many of those went off the air, but in their place new ones popped up.

For 23 hours and 45 minutes each day, the faint sound of an air horn could be heard blasting continuously on one particular station. However, in those other 15 minutes, a solid block of time selected almost randomly each day, something else played. A hoarse voice, very deep and male, would come on the Radio and read off a series of numbers averaging between one and a thousand, usually at a rhythmic rate with about a half to full second pause between them. In the last few minutes, he might wait a little longer, then read a list of common local names. Anyone tracking the signal would find it originating from a mountain peak in Southern Zvezda, allowing the signal to traverse from the valleys of Zvezda to the the Kashubian plains in the South. All and all it was perfect, at least until the Southerners started their own broadcast on a similar wavelength.

Once a week, at a pre identified time, a Natul soldier would turn on his hand crank radio and listen to the numbers being read allowed. Scribbling them down into the code book with a grease pen and working on their meaning after the broadcast. 90% would be garbage, but after so many numbers the message would begin. Once it was decoded, that message was translated and sent to the commander.

Lieutenant Major Huemac Mendoza read the most recent translation and grew quiet. He knew this day was coming, but he didn't wish for it so soon. Their campaign had been going on nearly a year, just a couple more months was all he needed. They had recruited quite the handful of locals and taught them the ways of the Natul Gods, they were proud warriors, each and every one of them. Yet, orders were orders, and each warrior's duty was to contribute to the war and follow orders.

“Men, we've received orders. We are…. To head east and rally at some coastal coordinates. I'm guessing command wants to pull us out. Nevermind we've probed this far, but command is command. We'll… Cease attacks on the oil fields…. for now.Now gear up, we've got a long hike ahead of us.”

Ministry of Defense
Vostok, Capital City of The Soyuz Sovetskikh Vostochnaya Zvezda
(Union of Eastern Star Soviets )

“Gentleman, welcome. It has come to our attention that the Fascists are massing army forces along the border. Intelligence points to the elite divisions already on the border being reinforced by regular army units. In response, military district Susol has been placed on high alert and rocket forces given orders to be on stand by. This was all covered in yesterday's meeting. Today we bring news from the PUF that this threat may be even more realistic than previously thought. Generalissimo Salazar, please present your findings.”

The drab meeting room in the second basement level of the Ministry of Defense had the look and feel of a second hand building still becoming acquainted with it's new purpose in life. Military records and filling cabinets were stacked in the corner of the high ranking meeting room until a more permanent home could be found. The table and chairs were all made of local woods, and hand crafted especially well, but the maps pinned to the walls and musty cigar smoke clashed with the rosy and optimistic murals song the walls. Why the former KGB had such a room left more questions than answers, but they were not the ones everyone wondered today.

Instead everyone looked to the Mokan officer, commander of the Federal 9th Army and the largest advanced fighting force in theatre.

“Gentlemen, as you may know, two days ago Castille de Italia and issued an ultimatum to the People's Unified Federation to pull their troops out of Castleclose and Castille or face war. During the two days, riots broke out and many Federal nationals in Castille were targeted. The situation seems to be an excuse for the National Socialist State to declare war.

If so, the Ordernites are highly likely to declare war as well, and despite the presence of peace keepers on the border, there simply aren't enough to maintain the peace. Given the Golden Throne’s war in Gholgoth they may sit this one out. If that's the case, I cannot think of a better time for the Ordernites to launch an invasion.

Gentlemen, we are more that's likely going to go to war. Luckily, I have received word from the Federal Foreign Ministry that the Kingdom of Imbrinium has, in addition to supplying us with troops, offered to back us in case of invasion. We also have Morridane forces arriving in the north. They may not be the most advanced air force, but the Morridanes are some of the best pilots I've seen. The international community will not be sitting this one out.”

“Thank you Generalissimo Salazar. Comrades, it is decided that this build up on the border is to be treated as a precursor to invasion, we will follow Defense Plan C for now. If the unthinkable happens and Plan C recommends a nuclear strike, contact the war Ministry for authorization, Strategic Rocket Forces will have secondary authorisation. Gentlemen, the time has come. Meeting dismissed.”

Prisoner of War Camp 34B
“Bear Mountain"
Somewhere in the Zvezdan Mountains

The Hind flew over the chain link fence line of the POW camp known as “Bear Mountain," lost in frozen mountain ranges of the north. The only way to get in or out was by helicopter; for the natural terrain and harsh weather made hiking without proper gear practically suicide. Overhead the guests could see the wooden barracks, looking like something stolen out of an 1800s frontier than a proper military prison. The guard towers were low, made in a similar frontier style. The buildings that housed the prison staff looked even older, but stronger. A small medieval keep and stone wall rested to the East of the prison barracks. The closer the helicopter got, the more it became clear the stone castle had been updated with modern amenities. Reinforced concrete behind the walls and metallic objects on the roof: temperature control and a few antennas. The only truly modern addition to the camp was the Helipad and communications array in the open square.

As the helicopter made its final descent, two men opened the heavy wooden doors and braved the cold air to approach. Behind them the doors closed almost instantly. With Kalashnikovs slung over their shoulders and heavy wool coats, they looked the camp security. One opened the Helicopter door and the other waved everyone off.

“Greetings Gentlemen, welcome to the Bear, follow me inside.”
