Silran Riot Police clashing with the masses of Pakse

The city of Pakse is home to 88 thousand of Silran (or Silranese, however you prefer to say it) citizens. The latest week the Silran Riot Police (SRP) have been clashing against thousands of protesters. They protest because of the rising taxes wich the government has drove in. The government has issued this so they could get more money to turn Silra into a tax-free communist super-state, although thats the thought. Despite this the citizens are still protesting, but they don't know that it's for a short time. The prices of regular stuff is already quite high for the average Silran citizen. The original tax was 0,8 Royal Hunishes, but has been raised to 1,4 Royal Hunishes, a staggering amount for the average Silran citizen.

In Pakse the protesters threw rocks towards the Riotshield-wall built by the SRP. Behind the shield-wall SRP-officers shot gas shells with AGS-17s towards the protesters to try and chase them away, but next day they returned. Three days later clashes had sprung up in the whole of central Silra. Now the Silran Government is pleading for help...

The government of the NMK find the idea of yet another tax-free communist state horrifying and they decided to support the protesters. As such, they sent a message to the government of Silra.

Greetings. I must say that as the representative of a staunchly capitalist monarchy that I find the idea of a tax-free communist state horrifying. You really should reconsider, capitalism is superior. Anyway, we do not support your government and will be aiding the protesters any way we can. Perhaps their regime will be more closely aligned with our ideology and interests.

Afterwards, the government directed a small operation to smuggle money and arms to the protesters. If the situation took a worse turn, then small groups of soliders may be dispatched to assist the protesters.

“The success of our operation depends entirely upon the events unfolding in the capital now.” An unknown man wearing a dark grey suit whispered angrily as he sat down next to the leader of the Korongo Party, Balin Garen, who was sitting on a park bench overlooking the river that flowed through the town. Garen glanced over to see if the man was indeed the person he had been expecting and then looked back to watch the ducks. “This is not the time to divert your attention overseas. It will introduce unknown variables into the equation. The embassy attack, the failure of the nuclear weapons theft, we do not need more interference.”

“My goals cannot be accomplished without arms and equipment. We need a network of allies abroad who will be able to help us and that won’t happen if we wait until the last minute.” Garen replied. As a veteran of the conflict in Kuwani, he had experienced a counter insurgency campaign first hand. He knew that he needed a strong foundation of international support. Too many movements had been defeated by their own deliberate isolation from the world. “Besides, the events in the capital are about to reach their conclusion. My sources indicate that Jonang will resign tomorrow, and that means that the leading coalition will fracture as planned. It does not require our focus.”

“That is not the point Garen, you do not need arms and equipment. Madabique will provide whatever is required. The matter is closed. Your forces will not become involved in Silra.” The man said as the conversation became heated.

Garen turned his head and looked directly at the man. “You have promised material aid, but you have also made it clear that we will receive none of it until the operation has begun. That leaves my people in a very difficult position. All we have at our disposal are the few weapons we have managed to smuggle out of military stockpiles. It is not enough and we will be defeated before Madabique can fulfil its promises unless we seek external support. You speak of unknown variables, this provides us with certainty. All that is required is a spark, a spark and a demonstration of our support, and we will have the means to accomplish our goals.”

The man sighed. “I will not sign off on this ill-conceived plan, but you do have a certain degree of independence. I cannot stop you. However, be warned, Murdani will hear of this and he will not be pleased. You could be risking the future of cooperation between your allies and Madabique.” He warned, speaking of Wiranto Murdani who was the current dictator of Madabique.

“I am well aware of the risk involved. I am not an idiot.” Garen replied as he stood up from the bench and walked away, adopting a brisk pace in the process. There was a funder function in the town hall for a veteran’s charity. He had been invited by a colleague from his days in the Korongolese Army to be a guest speaker and he did not want to be late.

“A single spark? I understand.” Arwari Boodan said moments before she switched off her cell phone and pushed her way into the crowd of protestors gathered in the street. This was her opportunity to become someone, her chance to ascend from her childhood and be remembered by history. At least that it is what Garen had told her. Boodan began to cough violently as she approached the shield wall. She pulled a handkerchief out of her pocket and tried to cover her face, but she could still feel here lungs and eyes burn. The shouting and screaming was deafening and she became increasingly disoriented, but she finally saw the blurry image of the shield wall ahead. She drew a Beretta 70 pistol, pointed it in the direction of the Silran Riot Police, and repeatedly pulled the trigger until the gun stopped firing. Confused by the gas, she dropped the pistol and ran as fast as she could. Here job was done.

The Victoresian Imperial State, while respecting the opinions of the civilians in opposition to the governmental taxes, supports the government effort to raise taxes to create a Socialist State. We CONDEMN the particular, lethal protests by some protesters. We also SUGGEST that the Silranese government slow down the transition.

The Senate room was in a frenzy. Government officials discussed and were shocked about the recent eventsthat had happened in Centeral Silra. Suddenly, the King appeard at the front and called for order. "I hope we have discussed enough. Now I would like to ask all of you, who stands for direct military involvement in Silra?" He asked and a number of hands raised up their hands.

"Who wishes to use a tactical approach in Silra, using guerilla warfare and asymmetrical warfare tactics?" He asked again. Now, more hands raised but when he asked who wouldn't intervene in Silra, only a handfull raised theirs hands up for staying out of it. Now, thestage was finally set for intervention.

A handfull of helicopters were ready to deploy a regiment of Sharkan conscripts to calm the situation and violence that is happening in Silra.

A communist king? Surely this cannot be true. The ideology of communism appears to be fundamentally in conflict with having a King. May I know more about this..admittedly weird thing? Oh. and Capitalism is the one and only ideology.

A Silran T-54 heading to the increasingly violent riots in central Silra.

Pakxe, Silra 09.00pm local time
The sound was loud and sounded like someone scraping metal bonds on the ground. The sound came from three T-54 driving on a line in the middle of the street. The masses separated, became penetrated by the tanks. Some protesters tried to stop the tanks by standing in front of them, but they got crushed by the heavy tracks.

At the same time. Poru saw the tanks rolling down the street, and packed up the RPG he had got smuggled in to Silra earlier that night. He opened the window and loaded the RPG with a rocket, took sight and fired. The burning metal projectile sawed through the air and then smoke emerged from the middle tank. Later on it bursted into fire and exploded. The other tanks turned thier turrets towards Poru and painted the window with bulletholes with thier coaxial machineguns. The rioters became furious, first they threw rocks, but suddenly there where molotovs flying. The SRP stormed the crowd with thier shields and batons in thier hands. As things became very violent, the police retreated from the street with the protesters in thier heels.

*There were footsteps outside of the King's office and a sudden knock could be heard from the door. The King's secretary poked her head in and bowed.* "Your excellency, there is an unexpected visitor here to-" *She was cut off by a sudden barge in of a man dressed in a gray officer's uniform accompanied by two men, roughly eight feet tall in suits of advanced battle armor with mossberg shotguns flung over their shoulders by straps. The two "super soldiers" briefly stood at attention before they clicked their heels together creating a loud thud. They then made a fist and hit their chests once before extending their arms out to give a "Nazi" salute. They, along with the man in the middle, dressed in a general's uniform then dropped on one knee and bowed their heads. The man in the middle eventually spoke.* "Your illustrious, majesty of Silra, it is an honour to be in your presence." *The man then stood up and continued to speak.* "I am Chancellor Adolf Häussler, leader of the nation of Spektronia. It has been brought to my attention recently, that you are having troubles with... A rebellion. I have decided to come pay a personal visit to you, as it should be, considering that you are defiantly worth the trip to meet with, your grace. I cannot help but to imply, that the problem is not sourced in the rebels... But rather... In you and your regime. Now, of course I mean this in the most respectful and polite way possible, but it is imperative that I present my point to you. As you are well aware, the rebellion is a result of your tax policies, your grace. It is evident to me, that these taxes are irrational and rather, a poor choice. I am not usually one to support rebellion... but certain times call for certain measures. On that note, I would ask you, the mighty and powerful king of Silra, to rebuke these taxes or I will be forced to play a hand in this rebellion. My hand will favor the rebels greatly. I shall immediately disperse Spektronian troops to your great nation. Might I also add, your grace, that my troops... Well let's just say that you might not want to ever have to face one in combat..." *He turned around and pointed to the two "super soldiers" who continued to kneel and bow in their suits of chrome battle armor.* "Your majesty, I would also have to send supplies to the rebels, preform air assaults on the royal army, disperse ground vehicles and so on... Your lordship, it would be in your best interests to accept my terms and avoid armed conflict between our great nations." *He then tipped his head, bowing, most respectfully.*
