"I have been told that you believe that we have teamed up with UFSNA against you. I would like to reassure you that this is not the case, and that our main priority is the defence of your lands."
"I have also been informed that you are relocating to a nuclear bunker of some description. Please could you give me the co-ordinates of the bunker, as I need to pack up the embassy, and my helicopter is not yet ready for take off."

Emporer Cyrus silva was reading a message that had appeared on his screen. It was from one of his fire teams in Georgia, and it said the enemy had called for a cease fire and emergency peace talks. Emporer Silva had contemplated this, and decided to tell his troops to agree to the cease fire, but then sent a secret transmission to the Imperial Special Ops Division, ordering them to continue to disrupt the enemies logistic and economic capabilities in New Orleans and Georgia. As for Cuba, he thought...well, no news has come out of there since yesterday.

Meanwhile, above Cobb Island
Ambassador Ajistu Grey and Minister of Defense Dairus Taylor sat in their helicopter, an imperial Gunship-Transport combo. They were on his their way to the Cobb Island Foreign Ministry, to hammer out peace talks. They had been breifed personally by Emporer silva, and their main aim was to, if the war came to an end, legally secure Florida, parts of Georgia, Cuba, the Honduras and the are around New Orleans for the Empire. However, minister Dairus Taylor doubted the Columbians would give up so easily. Sitting with them was a squad of Imperial Honor Guard, elite super soldiers used primarily to protect the Emporer and his High Concil. The chopper they were on we're being escorted by Imperial gunship helos, in case they met any foreign hostilities. To make the chopper look more diplomatic, it had a fresh red and white paint coat, rather than the standard grey, dark grey and red of most vehicles of the Empire. Minister Taylor prayed these talks would go well.

"We are not scared of you, or your 'war machine'. Quite frankly, we could probably atomise you in a few days. We have evidence to suggest that your troops are very low on morale, and might mutiny. Our troops, on the other hand, are delighted to be at war, and are happily willing to die for the Emperor and the Empire. Our technology is far superior to yours. And in case it boils down to manpower, we vastly exceed your limits" he said confidently. He had been chosen specifically for this job, because he was good at lying and bluffing. His team had spent hours forging documents, photos and transcripts for this meeting.

The NMK's Senior Ambassador entered the room, after having a quick trip from Independence Hall where the Regent was located. His aide had told him of Ajistu's offer. He said "I believe that offer is unreasonable. However, depending on what the other delegates think then I could settle for it. Additionally, I would desire to see all aggressors of the war compensate the allies. This was an unjustified invasion, and you deserve to be punished for it. Finally, I'm happy that Philadelphia remains under allied control because our Heads of State & Government are there. If they were captured, it'd be a very sticky situation that would be very undesirable for you." before sitting down calmly on a chair.

"Herr Doctor, might I ask once more why these tests must be conducted on my ship?" Schlager stated quite nervously as he watched the helicopter carefully lower a crate onto the deck of the Himmelreich, well three helicopters. Even with the gentle landing of the crate onto the Flight Deck, the entire ship shook like it had just struck a reef. Also for Mannheim's tests, the massive Super Carrier had been moved into port instead of sitting in the Harbor. The entire crew was still at their stations but Schlager did not like how the doctor was disrupting the routine of his ship.

"Simply put, Herr Schlager that the Himmelreich is the largest ship in the fleet and therefore the easiest upon which to conduct these tests." He then keyed in his headset to the communications frequency for the crew of the machine inside the crate. "Alright bring her out slowly."

There was a shudder and then a segment of the crate fell off followed by movement from within. Then a massive mechanical leg emerged quickly followed by the rest of the machine. This machine was at least ten meters tall and resembled a man in some aspects.

Mounted onto its left shoulder was a 88 mm Anti-Tank gun whilst on its right should was a 16 cell launcher. High-Power Gatling Guns were mounted inside of its three prong hands. There was a glowing red 'V' to show the viewport. This was the Panzersoldaten Second-Generation. A warbot which required a crew of two and which could stand in as support for advancing troops. It's armor was resistant to anything short of only the highest caliber Armor-Piercing rounds. It was also coated in a type of coating labeled by the scientists as 'B Dust' which scrambled any guided signal which attempted to lock on. But next comes the real test.

Mannheim spoke once again into his headset. "Alright, activate the repulsorlift and bring it down to the docks." There was silence for a moment and then pads on the machines soles and elbows glowed bright blue as, to the amazement of all those in viewing range, the machine lifted up slowly. It hovered for a moment before slowly moving over to the docks and descending gently. Those watching remained shocked at what this ten meter tall war machine had just accomplished. Mannheim was practically like a child at Christmas.

"I've done it! I've done it! Five years work paid off! Oh this is fantastic! Now the world will know my name!" As he was enjoying his giddy moment, Schlager pulled him aside to speak. "Herr Doctor, how many of these 2nd Generation Panzersoldaten do you have combat ready, we may need them as our invasion forces will be at the enemy's doorstep by the time this 24 Hour ceasefire is over." Mannheim turned grim at that point.

"Unfortunately we only have five combat ready though I can give you the assurance of Herr Kaizer that KaizerTech International will have over two hundred ready for the Wehrmacht in two months time." It would make no difference either way. Even without this new weapon, once the Wehrmacht forces made landfall, they would be able to advance unchecked due to the German military advantages over the other powers.

Reichsmarschal von Kaizer was having a final look at the overall invasion plans. Each of the four fleets to take part were the same size as that which was currently stationed at New York City. The additions to these fleets were obviously far more transports, as well as Submarine escorts, added minesweeper vessels, and intelligence vessels belonging to the Abwehr. The enemy would be fools to try and attack them. As to any enemy naval threats in the Canadian Arctic or the Gulf of Mexico, half a dozen Surface Raiders and Submarine Flotilla's had been dispatched to each.

Since the day the Kaiser informed von Kaizer of the situation in Columbia, several months prior now, the Abwehr had had drones up all over the Columbian Eastern Seaboard and Northern Canada to assess local military assets. Alongside the brave efforts of a number of Abwehr agents, these methods now told the German General's Staff the approximate location of every Military Instillation, Airbase, Naval Yard, Missile Silo, and other such facility that was pertinent to planning this operation. Though they could not ascertain military unit formations due to the internal strife this would not matter much. Troops of every speciality were going along for the invasion and the open plains of the Columbian South would be a buffet for the Panzer Divisions. Not to mention that in some areas it was found that German's in Columbia were speaking out in support of German intervention, yet as this was on a small scale, the General's Staff deemed it not needed at the time in terms of knowing what was happening.

The Luftwaffe had Intercontinental Bombers ready to take off by the thousands along with ICBM's loaded with Non-Nuclear warheads prepared for precision strikes on enemy facilities and troop formations. Thanks to a cooperative effort by Abwehr and KaizerTech technical teams, enemy radar and sonar across the soon-to be front was being put on a continuous all-clear loop. Not to mention all the aircraft taking part were equipped with the now further developed Alpha-6 system. The Columbian's wouldn't know they were being invaded until it was too late.

In fact, the invasion forces should be hitting the beaches as it were within 24 hours. The mass air attack and missile strike would begin in precisely 18 hours, the main invasion two hours later. Victory was all but assured. Over a million highly trained, experienced, well-equipped troops would be participating.

Ceasefire Meeting at Cobb Island

"Honestly do you think any of your forces stand a chance?" Came the silky smooth voice of Baron Manfred von Richthofen II, the German delegate to the meeting. Manfred was the great-grandson of the original Red Baron and had been granted said title for having succeeded in having a kill record that was more than triple his great-grandfather's 80 kills. He was a seventeen year Luftwaffe veteran at only 37 years of age and his name had become known world wide from news reports, tv interviews, and his book about flying and war titled "Bloody Red Skies" published only four years ago. He was sent because he was a soldier and could talk war, and as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Luftwaffe, he held sufficient rank to conduct negotiations.

"After all, can any of your Armed Forces stand against the German Armed Forces? Our long string of victories in war speaks for itself. We brought three of the worlds great powers, France, Britain, and the Russian Federation to their knees. And we shall repeat that with a victory here." He planted both hands on the table and began to talk shop or rather war. "We have far more troops, a larger amount of veteran units in all branches of the service, a greatly technological capability in warfare, and a General's Staff made up of soldiers not politicians. One might throw in our very large Nuclear Arsenal. Though since we observe international law, to actual use a Nuclear Weapon would be to violate a number of clauses."

"Why, my allies are quite right. Such a deal would be idiotic, and a rebellion would overthrow your power there in months, anyways." However, he felt more serious about the Barons rant. "Herr Baron(OOC:not being sarcastic), exactly what would your country want from Columbia, should they give in to you?" He leaned in, intensely waiting for the Baron's reply.

"Finally, some help from our allies!" Klaus exclaimed after hearing of Warrentucky's radio transmission. Send them this letter immediately." Klaus handed his adjutant the note(at bottom) and he set off. Klaus ordered the 1st Expeditionary Korps(50,000) to stay behind and help their allies. The rest of the force, about 400,000 strong, set out for the West Coast, although told not to engage anyone because of the peace talks.
However, the situation in Matamoros was terrible. Already 1,000 had died, although the disease had been quarantined and was not spreading. Blame was rested on the Fascists.

If our troops are so low on morale, how come they haven't rebelled already? The situation is dire as is, and a mutiny would lose us this war. By technology advanced, must I point out that we have reports of your flagship exploding in Savannah Harbor? Apperantly, your advanced technology destroys your operators more than their enemy. By manpower, you are right, although one Imperial soldier is skilled enough to at least take two or three HYDRA soldiers with him. Our war machine isn't as well equipped, or as numerous, but far superior in skills and training." Ambassador Ajistu was extremely nervous, this was his first diplomacy mission and he seriously considered pulling

It was Ajistus turn now. "The empire invaded simply to bring order to a anarchic land, to bring order to a crumbling nation after a brutal civil war. If you wish 'compensation', we can settle for no more military action unless given reason to do so."

Richthofen produced from within his jacket pocket a document and handed it to the Ambassador. He knew they would think the proposal absurd and outrageous, but that was what they were banking on. It would mean they could still proceed with the invasion.

This document stated that the provinces of Quebec and Newfoundland, the states of Florida and Georgia, as well as the Eastern Seaboard as far as the Appalachian Mountains would unto be annexed as the German colony of Neu Pommern (New Pommerainia). Colombia would disarm its Nuclear Arsenal, and any Columbian citizens whom did not desire to live under German rule would be free to leave. Columbia would not have to pay any form of reparations and would not have military limitations or economic sanctions placed on it. In turn the German Reich would give its support to crushing the Communist's and the Fascist's.

The Rodina had agreed Cobb Island's offer of a temporary ceasefire, and Consul Kirov travelled (with a sizeable bodyguard) to Cobb Island, as the Praetor was in Philadelphia with the rest of the Allies. The Consul sat at the table with the rest of the Belligerents, as HYDRA and NUSC dismissed New Axiom's absurd demands.

"I concur with HYDRA and Columbian ambassadors, your men are on the verge of defeat, HYDRA forces are soon to liberate the Southern United States, while my own forces are days away from victory in Hawaii. No territorial changes are justified in this unjust war, for peace, you must immediately withdraw all forces from Columbia and immediately end all operations in that territory," the Consul said.

"To the exalted German ambassador I say we will not surrender, there is no fate worse for any of us than to live under some German boot. I believe I speak for all of the allies here when I say any of us, and our men, would rather die than fall to you. That is something you greatly underestimate with your little invasion. Our people are stout, hardy and steadfast. You really think you will just annex it, no problem? You may have been able to force the British, French and Russians to surrender, but wait until you fight an unwavering advesary. Wait until you are hounded at every corner of your occupied lands by partisans, rebels and patriots. Your hubris will be your downfall, Baron, I assure you," the Consul said, his disdain for the German invaders likely evident in his voice.

The ceasefire was a godsend to the Rodinan troops, the bloody fighting was over, if only for a day. It allowed reconnaissance planes to fly overhead and place an estimate on the remaining Yymean forces at a meagre few hundred men. The Rodinans offered the starving, surrounded Yymeans food, water, and safe passage to the Rodina itself if they would surrender to the Rodinan troops to become POWs. With the war's end, all 300 of them would be repatriated to Yymea, Rodinan POW camps aren't famous for their comfort, but they are perfectly acceptable as POW camps go.

The Golden Banner Flotilla and the 500 000 men it carried had finally reached the city of Philadelphia after two long weeks of sailing. Thankfully, the NUSC had not yet lost the Panama canal, which meant the Golden Banner could easily pass to the east coast. They had bypassed California, and the Communists in Florida, as their express mission was to aid the Praetorians and defend Praetor Aurelius in the Capital.

They came with 500 000 men, regular legionaries, decently experienced and a capable fighting force. 500 tanks, modern, effective Osorio tanks, which had been purchased from the Brazilian company who made them after the Brazilian government rejected the design. They also brought a large amount of the Golden Air Force, numbering 300 F/A 18 Hornets, and 600 MiG-25 fighters, as well as 200 various designs of helicopter. In addition, they brought a massive amount of static defences, Howitzers, Mortars, Heavy MG's, Anti-Air Missiles, ATGMs, and most importantly, over a thousand 92mm AT guns, capable of penetrating most armoured vehicles, but poor in a High-Explosive role.

The Legion were preparing to defend, despite peace talks underway, as they knew that there could be no compromise with the Fascist invaders. 92mm AT guns were set up all along the city perimeter, soldiers were stationed at every way into or out of the city. Tank groups of 10 tanks sat at the most important routes into the city itself, to support the defending infantry. They were still outnumbered and outgunned by the Germans, but the Golden Legion had been referred to as the "Honey Badgers" for their belligerence, and could hold steadfastly against anything that Hell (or Germany) could throw at them. Rodinans may die as easily as any other man, but they do not break and run.

Decurion Rotenko, Bridge 81, Road to New York

Rotenko and the rest of the Praetorians began to leave the Bridge, the last stragglers of the retreating Columbian forces had come across the Bridge, and the main German army likely would not be attacking again once the ceasefire was over. But the extra 24 hours gave the Rodinans precious time to prepare for their coming. The Praetorians escorted the defeated Columbians back to Philadelphia where they would be incorporated into the defending Legion forces.

As they left, the explosives wired to the Bridge were set to go, and the explosion shook the land, and Rotenko would not be surprised if the German troops in New York could hear it. Bridge 81 crumbled to dust and landed in pieces in the River, once the peace summit has ended, the Germans will find no way to get their armour across the River, and would need to either build a new bridge or go around the river, either way buying the 4th Legion precious time to set up defences and prepare for the great battle which awaits them.

"Why, my allies are quite right. Such a deal would be idiotic, and a rebellion would overthrow your power there in months, anyways." However, he felt more serious about the Barons rant. "Herr Baron(OOC:not being sarcastic), exactly what would your country want from Columbia, should they give in to you?" He leaned in, intensely waiting for the Baron's reply.

"Finally, some help from our allies!" Klaus exclaimed after hearing of Warrentucky's radio transmission. Send them this letter immediately." Klaus handed his adjutant the note(at bottom) and he set off. Klaus ordered the 1st Expeditionary Korps(50,000) to stay behind and help their allies. The rest of the force, about 400,000 strong, set out for the West Coast, although told not to engage anyone because of the peace talks.
However, the situation in Matamoros was terrible. Already 1,000 had died, although the disease had been quarantined and was not spreading. Blame was rested on the Fascists.

Columbia would not have to pay any form of reparations and would not have military limitations or economic sanctions placed on it. In turn the German Reich would give its support to crushing the Communist's and the Fascist's.

Ambassador Thomas Adams looked at the proposal. He knew the unified might of the USC wouldn't stand a chance against a full on New Dacius invasion but it'd slow them down. The real advantage was the size of the land and size of the resistance forces that would be made from the population. He had to be careful with how he played his cards in this situation. On the one hand they'd be loosing territory that had been part of the USC for a hundred plus years. On the other hand it'd be an ally against the Reds and the Fascists and the population would more than likely rebel against the Germans. But there was always the problem that, in selling them out for an ally against the Reds, the population would turn on the King and government. The hours were ticking by. Adams had to hurry with his decision.

We will deploy more than two million troosp if necessary, and we assure you that every one of our troops will fight until victory- victory at ANY cost. I repeat, ANY cost." The Ambassador paused for effect.
"We would also like to inform you that our bombing campaigns across your nation will only end when you have surrendered- we have enough resources to continue bombing you for years if need be. We do not doubt you are having trouble concealing the wounds you still lick from our last intervention- after all, millions died, and thousands were captured. about the captives, we maintain our stance in that we will execute 300 captives a day until you meet our demands of a conference for our terms of stopping. During the conference, we will execute 100 a day until you have made an agreement that pleases us. We have already executed more than two thousand captives. Is this understood?"

A holo-projector waited idly at each seat, and one sat concealed in the center. The UFSNA had reviewed several times what it was to say, and it had decided to say that it was willing to use up to fifteen nuclear weapons all along the western coastline if necessary, as well as biological weapons in the Great Plains and Mexico. With the entrance of a wide array of nations into the conflict, the maximum number of troops allowed to be deployed had increased to 2.5 million- a number they had not even reached a fifth of yet. Twenty destroyers, fifteen battleships, and three aircraft carriers had been deployed into international Atlantic waters, and squadrons of fighters and bombers were constantly making flybys just along the edge of the USC's airspace- just far enough away to consider any hostile actions as defense. Meanwhile, twenty-five gunships had been deployed along the international waters in the Pacific, one or two occasionally coming within half a kilometer of the USC's national waters. Meanwhile, ten nuclear submarines prowled the depths on either side of the USC, awaiting the command- the one command that could bring Humanity to the edge of the abyss that is destruction, and possibly give it a light 'shove' over the edge and into oblivion.

Richthofen waited patiently for an answer from the Columbians, ignoring the outburst from that mad Consul. A million men had lost their lives in the Great Patriotic Wars and the Baron did not like this man disrespecting their sacrifice. He did comment though.

"Consul I have seen determination in battle. I have because I am a soldier who fought and still fights on the front lines. I am not a politician like you. I saw determination in the Belarusians at Minsk. They refused to surrender and fought to the death, do you think your men will do the same. I always find some way to respect my enemy, you make it difficult for me to respect. Our forces in New York have behaved as gracious occupiers and obeyed the Geneva Conventions to the letter."

Except the children and sick- the sick will receive treatment and imprisonment, and those under eighteen will be integrated into our society to become patriots, or, if they refuse to comply, imprisoned until they are above a certain age, at which point a team of judges will decide their fate. The elderly, will, of course, be spared as well, as will the pregnant and unborn. All others die should there not be extenuating circumstances."
He took a swig of his water casually like he had just told someone what date his birthday was on.
"Oh, and your contingency plans don't matter- we assure you, we are already within striking distance; our men sit with their keys a the ready- all it would take is a turn of the wrist from each, and thousands or millions would die in under half an hour."

Central Columbia
300,000 troops marched towards Colorado, hoping to set up an HQ near the new Columbian base and create a defensive line in the Rocky Mountains. Then, after the Fascists had bloodied themselves trying to assault it, the Duchy and Columbian forces would push the Fascists back into the sea. Meanwhile 100,000 troops marched East, towards the New Axiom stronghold of New Orleans.

Presidente Chavos Gusto anxiously awaited the response of the belligerent nations to his proposal for a 24 hour ceasefire and emergency talks.

When he heard that the USC accepted the offer he was pleased. But would any of the belligerents agree to the negotiations?

The HYDRA Ambassador in Cobb Island passed on the following message:

We accept the ceasefire,and our ambassador stationed in Cobb Island will be willing to attend the talks.

"I have been told that you believe that we have teamed up with UFSNA against you. I would like to reassure you that this is not the case, and that our main priority is the defence of your lands."
"I have also been informed that you are relocating to a nuclear bunker of some description. Please could you give me the co-ordinates of the bunker, as I need to pack up the embassy, and my helicopter is not yet ready for take off."

Prime Minister Hancock looked at the HYDRA Ambassador and replied "Cheyenne Mountain Complex" before getting into the Lewis VTOL and began to head to the Mountain Complex (think VTOLs from Resistance and Fallout)
