"Sure, buddy. We'll see about that." the Attache thought, confidently.

As the men conversed, the New Hayesalian made a simple off-hand comment. "Yes, well. Of course the sovereignty issue is one we've considered, where approximately $850 million would serve as adequate proof of our respect in that matter."

As the Colonel moved away with the prince, the two New Hayesalians glanced at each other, the attache sipping the fine red.

"Well, we were on the topic of culture. Let us consider this- I have brought with me an aide and a security representative. Our other visitors have brought entire detachments possibly outnumbering the Coldstream guard here. I believe that we are able to trust your authorities, and your motives. I sincerely hope you can see that New Hayesalian culture is closer to the British culture than many, many others."

"But I mean, what can I tell you about New Hayesalia? How about I give you our go to diplomatic answer? 'A nation of unrivaled beauty and bounty. A nation valuing compassion, freedom and determination. A place that is Brighter than Sunshine.' That's all very accurate, but what, your Highness, do you really want to know about us?"

Eazy E walked up to the New Haysalians and attempted to engage in a conversation with them. Slowly, Eazy's lips parted to reveal dark yellow teeth that looked like they haven't met a toothbrush in years. The lips soon resembled a smile.

"Yo ni%$a, what tha fuck up. Hoes call me Eazy E. Its straight-up sick ta hook up you, nahmean biatch? Anyway, how tha fuck is yo dirty ass bustin?"

William had to admire the daring the men had. William was generally a kind and calm person, he would not back-down from threats.

"Do not worry about the threat of the others." William responded, standing up. "I will finish this conversation later" William gestured to the numerous Coldstreamers in the room "The men here are far above anything the other representatives have brought: I doubt about a hundred-men outnumber 1,007, that is just the Coldstreamers." William gestured to Eazy E, to follow him "Excuse me, gentlemen." William began to walk away. "I have another guest to attend to".

William asked that the Servants acquire a more "adequate" beverage for the one known as Eazy E; that of a 40 oz bottle of beer.

Eazy E walked up to William and shook his hand. Eazy was always all about business; deadlines, meetings and schedules. Eazy would of had the face of angel if his lips would ever break farther apart. The edge is pushed up, scrunching his one eye up, making the brown appear black. His lips parted a centimeter, making it seductive to many. Yet the faked smile on his pristine face made him appear all too arrogant, like any charmer.

"Yo mah nigga, you must be Mackdaddy Lil' Willy or some shit like dat. I be Eazy E, prez of N.W.A Industries. Its straight-up sick ta meet you, nahmean?

"Ah, the Council of the East India Company had a lot to say about you" William stated. The East India Company had reportedly gotten itself involved in a conflict with another world's Caribbean. The Council had been quite vague about the dealings between the two Companies."I hear you and the Company are laying siege to the Caribbean's capital, is this correct?"

William knew about the East India Company's actions but he wanted another "reliable" source. He knew that any soldier facing them would most likely meet their ends at the hands of a Company manufactured bullet.

"If so, I thank you for your cooperation" William added, directing Eazy E to a free table.

As was customary at balls, the Ganosians elected to take one of the tables as their own. They took whatever food and refreshments were offered them, and relaxed to the tune of the music playing in the air around them. The place at least had the aura, the feeling, down pat.

Lady Stacy thought that Easy E was certainly interesting, being that you never saw such people at these functions, people with an overwhelmingly proletarian background and subsequent mannerisms. Kushana thought the same thing, but after a period of watching Easy E walking about, there was something far more interesting upon them.

"It's dead here." Lady Stacy mused. "There's hardly anyone here."

"You're right," Kushana said. "I figured there'd be more people here tonight."

The two young women both wondered where everyone else was. The Shogun of Nihon seemed to have not yet come into the ballroom, which made them wonder if something was holding him up. It was a particularly empty ballroom too, which made Lady Stacy muse that perhaps the Fascist Empire wasn't all that popular. She didn't see any local big shots around either, which made her wonder even moreso. Don't these things usually have more people?

She could remember all those social functions she had to attend as a kid. There were so many people from all across the country, and at times even beyond, at those things. Was the Fascist Empire simply unpopular? Did they not have enough drawing power? What gives?

Oh well, she'd joke to Kushana, more food and drinks for us then.

Meanwhile, the Empress observed William's dealings with the Hayesalians, particularly his apparent belief that Britain was for British cultures. She thus had to think how to contend with someone with such tendencies. Would her kinsmen and women be seen less as prospective friends and more as foreign invaders?

This was something she would not tolerate, so she had to plan ahead in case of it. If the Prince wanted diplomacy, then he would have to get it with politeness and respect. If not, the Ganosians could take their business elsewhere and not look back. Such was the way the Ganosians, and indeed many other nations, did things.

"Your majesty."

The two New Hayesalians bowed politely, the attache immediately recognising the crown of Ganosia as they approached the murmuring royals at their table.

"What an absolute pleasure to meet you. I'd heard that Ganosia was sending a delegation, but I'd no idea you would take up the reins."

This was a lie, but convincingly told.

The Ganosian Empress gave her response, inviting the diplomats to sit with her and her small entourage, the New Hayesalians being introduced and introducing themselves as they had to the British prince regent. "It's hardly a big event, your majesty." the aide said, his chair being pushed in by one of the ghostly-quiet servants. "It's a lovely island, but surely that can't be your only reason for coming?"

"Your majesty."

The three Ganosian women cordially recieved the Hayesalian guests, introducing themselves accordingly. The Empress was happy to meet someone here - it had almost looked like they might as well have gone back to Ganosia, hoping that the next ball would be somewhat more lively. But here came the Hayesalians, eager for some conversation, which invigorated Quinn's spirits.

"What an absolute pleasure to meet you. I'd heard that Ganosia was sending a delegation, but I'd no idea you would take up the reins."

This was a lie, but convincingly told.

While Stacy whispered something to Kushana, the Empress took up the reins of the conversation.

"I should introduce my companions. The woman here," Quinn said gesturing to Kushana, "is my daughter and heir, Crown Princess Kushana."

Kushana smiled warmly at the Hayesalians. "It's nice to meet you," she said happily.

Quinn reciprocated the warm smile. "I figured a party like this would be a nice mother-daughter outing. Plus, it'd help her learn more about foreign countries and their governments. She's my heir, so I want her to be as educated as possible about all that."

Then Quinn gestured to Stacy, who took the initiative after Quinn's brief statement that this was:

"Stacy, Stacy Rowe. I'm not her sister or anything, but I like to tag along." Stacy said, wrapping her arm around Kushana. She went onto explain she was the Crown Princess' best friend and that she was just here to keep the Crown Princess company.

"Didn't think it'd be so dead here though." Stacy sighed. "Still, I'm chilling with my friend, and that's what matters, right?"

Quinn then said, "And who might you be, Mr...."

"I figured it would be nice to get myself out there some more and build up our country's influence across the known world. It was my hope to meet people here tonight to do just that, but sadly it seems not many people showed up. That's a shame. But you're here, so I reckon we can get diplomatic ourselves." Quinn replied, casually sipping from her drink. "It would be a pleasure for me to initiate a renewal of the ties between our two nations. I do believe we've exchanged ambassadors already and what have you, but if you have anything to suggest, please do not hesitate to tell me."

"Yes, it does seem rather stuffy in a way." the aide said, the attache quickly checking their host was still engaged elsewhere. "Yes, quite." he said, cutting the aide off quietly. "A nice reception in the gardens and the sea breeze may have been quite nice, but that may be more of a New Hayesalian habit. Just look at the Amalgamation Day jamborees the government hosts, almost all of them happen on the beach.

"The New Hayesalians, also with drinks in their hands, raised their glasses.

"You can't have a party without diplomacy." The attache and the Empress chinked glasses, smiling. The aide crossed eyes with Miss Rowe however, and it did seem a few neurons fired at that point. "Well your majesty I am sure you want to know what the Greater Island Kingdom is looking for from an event like this. We do have mutual embassies, and I'm sure Ambassador Berenck is often asking for various support. What we're looking for in a place like this is really to promote New Hayesalia. We're opening tourism campaigns around the world, and more and more countries are getting on board with our visafree entry system. You may be aware it costs the equivalent of about $30 to enter New Hayesalia on a 30 day tourist visa? We are engaging so that, on a reciprocal basis, tourists and business figures from either of our nations can simply turn up at the border, get a stamp and enter for 90 days, free of charge."

"There's also the matter of what the Minister of Defence is promoting." the aide reminded the attache.

"Yes, of course. We're finding the Military is running short of training areas, and as such they're looking to lease land overseas. The Military is pretty serious about establishing training areas, I think one of their last offers was about $1.2 billion for a 25 year lease?"

"1.3, Oliver." the aide reminded him.

"1.3, thank you. But there's always the more practical issues of trade. Politicians in New Hayesalia are pretty staunchly protectionist about a lot of things, partly due to the huge amount of produce coming out of countries with horrific human rights and labour law records, but they're very sure to reward partner states. Take places like Zellatia, Paddy O Fernature and Blackchovek."

"Well your majesty I am sure you want to know what the Greater Island Kingdom is looking for from an event like this. We do have mutual embassies, and I'm sure Ambassador Berenck is often asking for various support.

The Empress nodded thoughtfully when Berenck was brought up. "Indeed, he's been asking around for support for some endeavours of your government. We've told him that we're open to working with any country who wishes to work with us. He was rather pleased when he heard that, which is good news. It just means our open arms policy's bearing more fruit."

"You're free to open a tourism campaign in our country," Quinn replied. "And I'd be glad to support such a deal as that. I don't see any reason not to want our citizens to be able to get around in a more convenient fashion. Our country would like to promote itself more too, as well. I'm sure you wouldn't mind allowing some reciprocation? You scratch our backs, we'll scratch yours. Let the citizens of our respective countries each know that Ganosia and New Hayesalia are open to them to enjoy and explore."

Quinn's eye raised at the mention of lease land. "Well," she replied, "We would have to think about that one quite a bit before a decision could be made concerning that."

While Quinn mentioned that the Paddies were firm allies of her country, Kushana spoke up when the Zellatians were mentioned, remembering those Zellatians who were in her country. The Zellatian diaspora, she knew, was largely built around Ganosia and New Hayesalia, and helping them was one of the first major acts of one Johannes Pitkanen, friend to all refugees the world over.

"I think your country's done great when it comes to the Zellatians. It's always nice to help others, but it's very sad that countries like that exist, the ones with horrific abuses and records. I think the people of the world could stand to treat each other with a little more kindness and respect these days."

Stacy sighed. "Sadly, I doubt that would ever happen."

She then looked back over to the aide. She was intrigued by him; he clearly had some sort of attraction to her. But she didn't give him any ideas; she merely listened to him talk whenever his colleague made a mistake and kept silent for the most part, not wanting to disturb the flow of the conversation.

Plus, it'd ruin any prospective future investigation too, she reckoned.

"I am quite all right" William responded to the ruffian. He did not appreciate the amount of slang projected from his mouth - it felt like he was trying to understand another language - but felt he had been introduced to a new business partner. William wondered how much influence The East India Company had on the man's business; knowing the Company, they most likely had a lot more than what was known to him. "How is your business faring?" William asked, taking a sip from his wine.

"Well your Majesty, I think perhaps it would be best for us to use the great gardens outside, discuss the intricacies of these political decisions. May I escort you, and perhaps Lady Kushana may like to join us? I'm sure Ceras will be happy to stay otherwise, he has a lot of information on these old baroque palaces, I'm sure."

The attache glanced over to the know-it-all Ceras Lyem.

"Well, I might know a thing or two."

"Of course. Your Majesty, shall we?"

Kushana replied, "If you don't think I'd get in the way or anything, sure. I suppose there's a lesson in this that I ought to learn about diplomacy anyway."

Stacy shrugged. "I suppose this means I'll be here all by my lonesome. I'll be fine, though. You guys go on. I'll just listen to the music playing and chill."

She wondered if Ceras would stick around, though. Perhaps he would, hoping to do more than just discuss old baroque palaces....

The two exited through a side door, opened by the crimson coated Coldstream guards. The New Hayesalian and Ganosians made their way into the gardens, the deep blue of the ocean creating a perfect horizon in the far distance, the sun beating down on the trio. The New Hayesalian drew his red diplomatic passport from his pocket, flicking through a few pages and presenting it to the Ganosian.

Entry Visa, Tourist

It was an entry stamp and on-arrival visa at the nation's international airport for Ganos.

"When I travelled there, I was truly amazed at the quality of the tourist infrastructure, the national stability, and just the ease of doing it. I've traveled to 44 countries in my life but only Ganosia stands out as being anywhere near as easy to get around in. That's why it is my personal mission is to ensure that our nations can go through the process of creating a visa-free entry arrangement for tourists."

The New Hayesalian took back his passport, thanking the Lady as he pocketed it.

"Of course, I must promote our various other efforts. The big one my uppers are having me make known are the needs of our military forces to establish more training areas, and Ganosia's strategic location on Gholgoth is one of our most intriguing hopes. Of course, we understand the implications and we have way to work through, but ma'am, where do you stand on these issues? What business stands out for you and New Hayesalia?"

"It's really great to know that you enjoyed your stay in my country." Quinn replied. It made her feel very happy to know that things were working as they ought to have been working ---- it was, after all, practically a beloved tradition to welcome outsiders into the country. Some of them would even end up applying for citizenship, which was another process which was rather easy. She told the New Hayesalian this in full, saying, "Indeed, it's been a tradition in our country to allow outsiders to so easily visit our country and explore it to their heart's content. It makes me proud of those in our tourist industry also. They are the face of my country to the world, and they are always smiling at foreigners like yourself and bidding them to stop by. We would have no problem with a Visa-free entry arrangement. The more people interact with one another, the more likely we will be able to cultivate a spirit of brotherhood and amity between our countries. You can surely count on my support concerning this matter."

Kushana agreed with her mother, but she didn't say anything --- she thought it polite to let her mother do the speaking, especially since this was a diplomatic meeting.

The New Hayesalian took back his passport, thanking the Lady as he pocketed it.

"Of course, I must promote our various other efforts. "There will need to be further consideration of your military's needs on our part, I'm afraid," said Quinn. "Where I stand is that we would not mind working further with your country. We share the same values, after all. But I feel I cannot allow your country to open bases right now, until as I've said, consideration has been had concerning the issue. There is also the issue of location for such bases --- whether in Ganosia proper or elsewhere in our realm. We will get back to you accordingly once we have decided; expect a message to that end from my foreign minister, Abishag Korey. As for other business? Well, you know, maybe we could give ourselves some compensation for the lackluster party this has been. A visit, if you will, to Ganosia could easily be arranged for your queen, Olivia, whom I've had the pleasure of engaging in discourse with a long time ago. It's been a while since she's visited, and I told her she's always welcome."

Kushana smiled at the mention of Olivia, whom had been quite nice to her when she met her upon the visit of the Hayesalian queen. She wouldn't mind meeting her again, that's for sure.

The trio stopped, peering out over the horizon and the township of St. Helena. Two Coldstream guards a few dozen metres away went through the changing of the guard. In their old uniforms, it all seemed like jump back in time. A cloud covered the sunlight, the area darkening in the shade as the attache made his proposal.

"I can understand that, fully. I can assure you our forces are most professional, we are sure to ensure. But ma'am, I would propose first that you yourself would visit our nation. Her Majest Queen Olivia resides in Montmaray. The history of our nation and our Monarchy are very long, and not exactly typical. You might wonder why we have two Heads of State, who live in two cities in the opposite sides of our nation. Though frankly, Her Majesty may tell you the story better than I. Port Eastgate is a fine city though, I've holidayed there many times. The Second Castle is truly magnificent, in my opinion even more impressive than the First."

"We also have a lot of organisational capacity. We could easily invite you within the next month, at whatever time is most permissive to your office. And of course, Lady Kushana, I am sure we can set up a complementary engagement schedule so you can avoid some of the stuffier engagements."

"But of course, your Majesty, this is a decision for your office to make, though I'm positively sure Her Majesty would be happy to travel to Ganosia."

IN THE CASTLE

"But then you have a Maltese style, which is more oriented towards interior art but also for the heat. But yeah, they're all similar, though different."

Lyem had been talking, nervous more than usual, about baroque architecture with a fair hit of knowledge. After all, architecture in New Hayesalia was a highly respected art, even symbolised in the nation's Coat of Arms.

"So I don't know so much about Ganosia, care to give me a crash course?" the aide said, quickly pulling off the topic and taking a deep sip of his wine. This woman was something to be sure, quite attractive and apparently brainy. Almost intimidating in some way, like a bunny in a suicide vest.

"I don't see any problem with that, none at all." Quinn smiled warmly. "It would be my pleasure to visit your country and see all that it has to offer. I'm sure I will enjoy meeting Her Majesty again --- no doubt she'll be able to tell me the full story of the monarchist system in New Hayesalia. It's more old fashioned in Ganosia, though. Ours is a monarchy intrinsically connected to the very existence of the nation, since it was the First King who founded the country itself after years of war against the warring states that had to be forced to unite as one nation, one Ganosia."

"We also have a lot of organisational capacity. We could easily invite you within the next month, at whatever time is most permissive to your office. And of course, Lady Kushana, I am sure we can set up a complementary engagement schedule so you can avoid some of the stuffier engagements."

"I reckon that after I'm done here in St. Helena, I could visit your country. I don't have anything else on my schedule that'd prevent me from going so soon." Quinn replied.

Kushana said, "I would be glad to visit your country too. I wouldn't mind checking out all the sights and getting to know your country better. What better way than to interact with the locals themselves, right?"

"But of course, your Majesty, this is a decision for your office to make, though I'm positively sure Her Majesty would be happy to travel to Ganosia."

"She'd be welcome any time. Just let us know beforehand and we'll quickly write up a full itinerary for her." Quinn said.

"But then you have a Maltese style, which is more oriented towards interior art but also for the heat. But yeah, they're all similar, though different."

"Well, ain't that something? Can't say i'm too fluent in architectural styles. Guess I figure if the building's sturdy and isn't going to collapse on my head, it's alright. But a little art wouldn't hurt. Makes things seem more lively, I figure."

Stacy, on her part, thought Lyem was alright, so far anyways. He seemed pleasant enough in his mannerisms, and he hadn't said anything upsetting or annoying. Nothing was wrong with discussing architecture, even if it wasn't her field of expertise. She somewhat laughed when he asked for a crash course on her homeland.

"Well, you already know it's a monarchy. We got an Empress who used to be a Queen, at least in Ganosia. She's the Queen of Veceria, though. Ganosia and Veceria are in a union. Everyone thinks it's pretty great. Those are her two main titles, all the others are just there for show like in any other monarchy. We're Hobbesian, the only state to be Hobbesian in fact. Got plenty of multiculturalism. We're pretty secular - don't bother being a fundie where I come from. I'd go on, but I dare to think you probably should ask me specific questions. I'm sure you'd want more detail than just this summary I've put together, right?" Stacy said, crossing her legs, looking forward at Lyem.

"Ask away, man." she went on to say. "I've got all the time in the world."

"Well your Majesty, I will let the Ambassador in Arendelle know, and we'll ensure the right people are made aware. You can expect a letter soon in that regard. But do expect an excellent time."

CASTLE

"Well I mean the best way to know a place is to ask about locals. Whereabouts in the country are you from? What's it like? What's some of the great pastimes and things like that."

After her response, she threw the question back, asking about his home town of Ansliss, Cesacor.

"Me? Well Ansliss is reasonably big. A few million people, and it sits right on the coast of the Varrel Channel so there's a pretty fair stream of cargo ships that come by. A lot of people would come to see the ships go by actually, sort of like plane spotters. I can tell you the tonnage of pretty much any ship by looking at it."

He chuckled.

"The city's basically nestled in between the sea and some mountains. If you drive in the outskirts of the city, you see all these twisting roads and there's these fantastic rolling hills. Sometimes you follow the little service roads, and you end up in these random pockets of rainforest, and when you climb up the mountain you can watch all the lights in the city come on as the sun sets over the sea. It's not got the huge towers you'd see in Oppentin or Revnami or Fotuzi, but it's still an impressive thing to watch."
