Off the coast of Zealand

Alarms went off as Captain Guenther asked for a status report. “Sir, the crew quarters took a big hit. They are flooding, but thanks to compartments it isn’t spreading. However, the water will make it harder to surface and make us less agile. We might be about to patch it if we surface.” Reported Engineering.

“Sir, the enemy U-boat is approaching!” Reported the sonar man.

“How long till torpedoes are loaded?” Guenther asked.

“Half a minute sir.” Reported another crew member.

“I want us to look dead in the water! No U-boat would waste a torpedo when there is still a Meerwolf out there. Let the water sink us.”

“Sir, the U-boat has closed to point blank range. If it had a camera, it could see the big hole in our side.” Reported the sonar crew.

“Is it in front of our tubes?”

“No, sir.”

“Continue looking dead. U-294 will do something to distract it soon and then we’ll strike. At this range there no way it can react to a surprise attack.”
********************************************
U-294 remained undetected, and in full silence it planned to stay that way. They saw how their leader’s torpedoes did nothing, so they were trying a different tactic. Turn the sea into a mine field.

They moved silently under the enemy, making sure each mine released was almost was silent as them. With any luck the enemy wouldn’t notice the mines floating upwards till it was too late. And if the enemy did, U-294 moved as unpredictably as possible, to lessen the chance of them being hit. This sea belonged to the Meerwolfs and U-294 was going to prove it.

--------------------------------------------------------
Off the coast of Jutland.

The Seventh Wolfpack was approaching their target, the bridges connecting Jutland and Denmark’s islands. They had the same equipment as their brothers off the Zealand coast, but they didn’t have the luxury of using diesel to make their mission faster. With how many islands and potential enemy sonar stations, they had to use the slower full silence.

Now they just had to destroy any defenders before moving on to the bridges.

"Hey, Leif. Do you think they're actually dead?" asked his colleague Sigmund. "Maybe," he replied, "but let's just check to be sure." "You and your paranoia."
The two drone operators then fired another barrage of torpedoes at the submarines, this time destroying one and tearing the one Conrad had damaged in half. "I'm sorry. Did you want to kill them?" Sigmund asked Conrad mockingly. His colleague simply threw a pen at him and laughed.
"What was that for?". Conrad turned in his seat, then said, "For being an asshole with a tiny willy." Everyone in the control room broke out into laughter for a brief moment when the sonar went haywire. Leif was the first one to check on it, and sure enough, enemy mines were floating straight up to the ship. "Guys, don't panic. Let me take care of this." Leif then broke his drone frokm the formation and fired at the mines, He wiped the sweat from his brow and let go of a breath he didn't know he was holding.

The sound of officers yelling at their men just barely pierced through the rain. They were just now preparing their mortars and anti-air gun batteries. These should've already been up, but the chance of the weaponry being discovered by the enemy was too great in broad daylight. By then, the underground network of tunnels had been completed, with failsafe entrances and exits in the event that the main ways were closed off. If the Germans decided to attack now, it was going to be a long night for everyone.

Now that Helsinki belongs to us, it shouldn't take long before we take Finland. We have already begun fire-bombing nearby farms in the event that the Scandinavian worms drive us out. But that is not likely. Today, however, my troops are to make haste for Turku and Kotka. You see, my plan is to control the shores of Finland. In doing so, we will no longer face the risk of an attack by sea by making it as improbable as I can for the enemy to come from behind us. This will also give the Germans more control over the Baltic Sea, which will mean that the Kariskogan Navy will be out of the equation.

Off the coast of Zealand.

While the mines proved ineffective, they still proved a distraction. While they were worried about the mines, U-294 had closed the distance between it and the pack. It was just barely out of visible range and still armed to the teeth.

It launched another mine and detonated it to hide the six torpedoes locked on all different targets. U-294 also launched the two anti-air launchers fitted on it for a future testing mission at the U-boats above it. It was doubtful the anti-air missiles would hit anything, but they were meant to be fired underwater and if there was a chance they could cause damage U-294 was taking it. She crashed dived away from the resulting chaos, knowing that her retreat would be impossible to detect with the sea so excited.

Denmark.

The two Jaegers watched the enemy trench through their scopes. They had been harassing the enemy for all of the daylight hours, marking positions for artillery and sniping one or two fools before retreating to other cover on their griffins. One Jaeger smiled to the other, “you ready for our hard work to pay off?”

“Ja. When is the barrage going to start?”

“Right now.” As if on cue, a hail of flares landed around the trenches, lighting them up and blinding anyone that was looking over. The Jaegers, who had adjusted their equipment beforehand, looked if anyone was poking their head up, or if any new targets had shown up.

The second wave of shells slammed into the area around the trench. This time they were full HE.

Sounds of automatic fire started as griffin skirmishers began their attacks. Too low for most radars to be of any use, still high enough they were hard to tell coming in. They threw a grenade or fired a burst of inaccurate full auto fire at the trench then fell back.

The Jaegers made sure anyone not fully in the trench soon regretted it, and that the fire stayed focused on the trench and any targets they could see. The barrage was set to last all night, but even with all this fire the majority of the enemy would still be alive. Still, they would not get any sleep tonight while the Prussians rested for tomorrow, and would learn why Prussians called themselves the kings of artillery.

As the hail of enemy fit continued, Moller and his squadron returned. Half of them engaged the griffins while the other ones bombed the artillery and sniper lines. Within a moment of relief, the troops in the trenches were able to retreat into the bunkers while fresh units came out. The mortar squads immediately began firing at the enemy lines, sending bodies and severed limbs flying, while the men in the trenches picked off anyone dumb enough to show their heads with their G-11s and VSR-12s.
----------------------------
6 drones were destroyed by the blasts, including Sigmund's. While he cursed, Conrad noticed something move further out. Saturating the camera feed, he realized that the third submarine was escaping. "Guys, number three is getting away!"
Followed by the remaining thirteen drones, Conrad commanded his drone to pursue the last enemy.

After the enemy took Tayshir our troops fell back to Altay we engaged in fighting with hostile local Muslim militants it took five months of intense urban fighting to clear the militants from the town then another four months to secure the surrounding mountains the final battle took place in the Altay valley where a militant camp was located after a three week artillery barrage Midasian infantry moved forward with a small squad of jeeps with machine guns as support. The infantry rolled into the camp were the enemy threw down a barrage of small arms fire and rpg's destroying one of the gun trucks. After several hours the camp was secured upon examining the dead a lonely private found the main target of the whole invasion his name was Ali Ali Bin Shafir. He was the one who orchestrated the attacks that killed several Midasian citizens. The team quickly gathered photos, intelligence, and papers along with Bin Shafir's body and headed back to Altay. Because Shafir was killed the Midasian government recalled the army and Air Force from Mongolia. Troops on the front hear the news and dance in a cheerful joyous mood along their trenches and bunkers cause they knew that they were going home. Midasian helicopters could see the massive troop convoys heading southwest towards the Chinese boarder they also saw enemy troops and armor far off in the distance. The troops finally arrive in the friendly nation of Tibet the total conflict killed an estimated 30,000 Muslim militants 100,000 civilians and 12,000 Midasian troops. Mean while Midasian Diplomats were sent to meet with the government of the enemy nations to prevent an invasion of United Midasia.

Captain Sean Dolan, Royal Army of Ire-Scotland
Copenhagen, Denmark
9:23 pm
It was not fair to him. He was ready to face the enemy, yet he was assigned to defend Copenhagen. To him, this should've been Karsikoga's duty, not his.
As he took another swig of his whisky, he heard the footsteps of one of his fellow soldiers. " What is is, James?" James Madden, the closest thing to Hercules his squad had, sat next to him.

" What's wrong, lad? Guessing you wanted to see the battlefield yourself."

" Actually, I just wanted to go to the beach, get drunk with my Russian drinking buddies, and eat mushrooms until I think the su looks like a balled-up rainbow."

" Hey, I might not like it either, but I guess it's for the better."

" What's your point exactly?"

" I'm just saying that from what I've heard, the trenches look like a brief glimpse of hell."

" So? what if I want to see hell?"

" Dolan! How much have you been drinking?"

" I don't know... a couple, or maybe-"

" Let's get you inside, tough guy."

Despite his protests, James lifted Dolan over his shoulders and carried him back into the barracks.
"Be sure to taste your words before you spit them out."

"No door ever closed, but another opened."

"What comes with the wind will go with the water."

The griffins and Jaegers ignored the jets. The griffins were just too low and small for the jets to be much of a threat. The real danger to them were the infantry men, all it took was one rifle shot and the griffin and rider would fall like a rock. While the Jaegers preferred having each two man team far apart. Plus they kept moving after a few shots, knowing a sniper’s effectiveness in one area decreased with time. A few were hit by mortar fire but those were the slow and unlucky.

As for the artillery, they were well guarded. Prussian didn’t believe they could shell an area for an extended time without the enemy’s air showing up and planed ahead. Flakpanzers surrounding the artillery filled the air with anti-air autocannon and missile fire. Three squadrons of Taifun fighters patrolling the nearby area, moved into help. While a Wächter Zeppelin floating overhead helped with its radar and experiential anti-missile laser, taking out some missiles, missing others.

After a few more minutes the griffins retired from battle, many squads losing a few members to enemy fire, joining their comrades in waiting for tomorrow’s attack.

U-294 continued diving into the dark depths of the sea. Those enemy U-boats were persistent chasing it. The mission could no longer go according to plan, they had to go to plan B.

U-294 released more of its few remaining mines and let the resulting chaos hide it. Then the enemy U-boats picked something up their sonar, a noise increasing in volume and heading out to the Baltic Sea about as fast as a retreating U-boat.

After the griffins left the battlefield, the artillery squads rose to the occasion. While the Germans were busy with the UVACs, they were caught unaware when Kariskogan mortars began impacting and demolishing their artillery and anti-air. When the skies were safe enough, Dragon Squadron ran a carpet-bombing of the German battle-line, taking life at a sickening pace and leaving the sniper squads broken. ithout proper direction, they were picked off by the Simo Häyhä (White Death) sniper units. With the German Line finally pushed back, the three Goliath Tanks were finally taken out of the underground bunkers and sent to the head of the field in case the Germans decided to Blitzkrieg the Kariskogan Line overnight.

Status: Soltrean victory, Stuttgart now under Soltrean control

Belgium Province, Soltrea
After a tip-off from a mole in the Prussian Military, six entire Regiments of the Soltrean Army and four companies of the Soltrean Ranger Corps. stood alongside the Mur de Fer (Iron Wall), the militarized border between Belgium and Prussia. If the Germans did not arrive soon, then the Soltreans would march straight into Prussia and burn their way to Berlin. Either way, this was going to be one helluva campaign.

Denmark

As the first shots landed in the artillery camp, three Pzh-2000s and two Flakpanzers were destroyed. They immediately began moving to present harder targets and the Pzh-2000sused their burst fire to counter barrage the enemy mortars, each one able to firing three 155 mm shells in under nine seconds. For the Flakpanzers, while they couldn’t help with the mortars they just continued to fill the sky with cannon and missile fire.

As for the air, the Taifuns deftly had the advantage. They outnumbered the enemy squadron three to one, and with the Wächter, the Flakpanzers MANTIS system, and their own flares, they didn’t have to worry about the enemies missiles. While the enemy had to dodge both the cannon and missile fire of the Taifuns and Flakpanzers. So when the Jaegers reported a squadron bombing them, A Taifun squadron broke off without hesitation, knowing the UVACs would be chewed up whether or not they were there. The Jaegers were reporting much juicier targets.

The Jaegers hunkered down, the carpet bombing was more deadly than the mortars, but still mostly ineffective due to how spread out the Jaegers were. They were more concerned about the enemy snipers and spotting the flash of enemy mortars. The Jaegers put away their rifles and focused on calling in artillery fire on the mortars and where they thought sniper shots were coming form. They were masters of camouflage, and without the flash or report of their rifles, or enemies falling from a bullet in their head, the Jaegers were almost invisible.

With reports of spotted panzers, ten StuG VI tank destroyers moved out to ambush positions in case the enemy tried anything.

The Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh armies reinforced Prussia’s own troops on the border and opened fire with their artillery on the enemy armies.

Netherlands’s border.

The Eighth army waited excitedly, they couldn’t wait for tomorrow when they would begin the high speed invasion of Belgium through Luxemburg. Some wondered why they were on the Netherlands’s border instead of Luxemburg’s and were told that it was to throw any however unlikely enemy recon off track. They had ditched anything that would slow them down too much, like Panthers and had only the fastest of Prussia’s vehicles. Recon cars, APCs, Leopard, and Flammen Leopard light panzers.

The Field Marshal looked at his sealed envelope that was dated to be only opened tomorrow with wonder. What secret orders would he be given?

Denmark Trenches

As the UVACS were being taken out, a squadron of Valkrie fighters suddenly flew into the dogfight in at mach-3 speeds and knocked the Taifuns out of commision, giving the the stealth fighters breathing room to finish-off the rest of the anti-air guns and mortars. With the enemy mortar/AA line completed, the UVACS flew back to base, leaving the Valkries to fight the Taifuns.

The Goliath crews noticed the anti-tank weapons and quickly retaliated. Within moments, the first wave of tank-destroyers had been decimated.

--------------------------------------------------------
Coast of Jutland

The drones, which were slightly faster than the enemy sub, finally came close enough to for a guaranteed shot at the German watercraft. With a nod, all of them fired a single lock-on torpedo at the sub. The projectiles rammed straight into the hull of the u-boat, consuming it in a brief flash. When the light faded, and the dust cleared, the remains of the enemy vessel, torn into multiple pieces by the torpedoes, floted to the depths. Mixed in with the debris was the mangled bits of what had once been the crew of the submarine.

The control room lit up with excitement as they watched the debris float off into the deep ocean. Conrad blew the cork off of a champaign bottle, and Leif picked up the phone. "Captain, I've got some exciting news for you! The German u-boats are no more!"

-------------------------------------------------------
Coast of Zealand

A lone Poseidon submarine destroyer flew ahead of the sub-carrier KCS-Winter. It was the submarine destroyer's job to eliminate most of the enemy subs in order to make room for the KCS-Mahri to attack the u-boats and make it out of the fight in one piece.
Checking the radar, the pilot noticed that multiple signals appeared not far from the bridge. It did appear that they were trying not to be seen by radar, meaning that their engines were running on some kind of low-tech fuel. Funny how they thought that a Poseidon-Class's aadars wouldn't pick them up. With the flip of a switch, multiple air-to-sea missiles flew off from underneath the plane's wings and into the water. When an explosion sent water rising from the sea, the pilot turned on his radio reciever.

"This is Submarine Destroyer Gramir. Let the Mahri descend."

Captain Fosberg heard the call over the radio.

"Thank you, Gramir. Return to base when you're ready."

Fosberg turned off the reciever, then gestured to the crewman operating the joist to let the submarine go. The crewman nodded, then threw several levers. As the sub began falling, Fosberg jumped onto the watercraft and climbed through the opened hatch. As soon as he felt a hard thud, he closed the hatch and the submarine sank. Things were looking optimistic for so far. The KCS-Mahri was not only a large sub, but it also had multiple turrets attached to the sides of it's hull, which could destroy enemy torpedoes, and a hull designed and painted for stealth. Knowing that the enemy would not be able to pick up the Mahri with radar, he commanded the sub's pilot to move in on the German u-boat position.

Off the coast of Jutland.
The Seventh Wolfpack had reached their target and saw no sign of enemy ships yet. If they saw no ships in the next few minutes they would land their engineers and destroy the bridge connecting Jutland to the rest of Denmark.

U-294 moved along at full speed hoping plan B would work.

Belgium
As soon as the. Fighting began, the Soltreans were quick to take cover in their trenches, in bomb craters, and behind their tanks. With their Air Force dealin with tanks and artillery, the infantry proceeded to tear the German Army a new one.

Rakitnny, Rhisia
1:03 pm
Second assault on Rakitnny begins. Enemy Air Force defeated by ASJ-1 Fighters.
The assault on Rakitnny begins when a squadron of ASJs bomb the Rhisian city. The 41st and 69th Regiments enter the ruined city after the ASJ squadron leaves with another one en route. The Rhisian Military resists with 80% of their initial forces intact, leading to bloody firefights that moslty end in Asnaric victory.
Further into Rakitnny, the 22nd Battalion of the 41st Regiment successfully captures the mayor of the city and his staff. As the fighting settles down, the flag of Asnar rises above Rakitnny.

The capture of Helsinki had not disheartened the Scandinavian people; rather, it only made them angrier. With that anger came the plan for an anti-Rhisian Contingency. They knew that they didn't have the technological advantage, but they realized that the knew how o exploit the land better than Rhisia did.

Erno and his squa watched as the Rhisian Infantry marched across the Finnish countryside. It was not gong to be an easy task to harass the Rhisians, but he was sure that they could distract them for long enough for a proper resistance to form at Tampere. With hand gestures, he and his squad took aim and downed five Rhisian soldiers.

Piking up the phone, he dialed the number of his Asnaric Counterpart's office. If he were to defeat Rhisia, he needed help from the experts in combating the Rhisians

It was well into the night. The Prussian soldiers had dug trenches on the opposite side of the border, and the dead of both armies lay everywhere. The sound of mortars from both sides of the fields meant that someone was going to die at that moment.

Corporal Albert Leclair had been separated from his squad in the night fighting. He was armed with his FASAU, a combat knife, and a few grenades. The man wiped the sweat from his brow, trying to formulate a plan to return to the Soltrean Trenches without dying. The problem was, he didn't know where the Soltrean battle lines were. Lighting a cigarette, he decided to peek out of the crater he settled into. There was a lone German soldier runnin straight towards his position. When the man got close enough, he grabbed him by the leg and dragged him down into the crater, then stabbed him in the collar. The German man cried out in agony. It was only then that Albert's humanity caught up with him. "Oh mon dieu, what have I done?"

The snipers were an inconvenience to the Rhisian Army, but they needed to be dealt with before they assassinated someone important. From the way the soldiers had fallen over and the way that the bullet holes had been shaped, the only logical conclusion was that the snipers were somewhere to the left of the convoy. With that in mind, two hover tanks tool aim and fired into the direction of the Kariskogan snipers.

Off the coast of Zealand

The torpedo that U-294 had fired to throw the enemy U-boats off its trail continued on, still going as fast and making as much noise as a U-boat. Whether anyone noticed it now or not didn’t matter, its wolfpack had failed losing all three highly advanced Meerwolfs.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Off the coast of Jutland

U-266 had received the prototype USAM (under surface to air missile) system before heading out, so it saw the Poseidon long before the aircraft saw U-266. However U-266 saw little reason in revealing their presence until they finished patrolling for ships. Besides it wasn’t like the aircraft would be able to find them, they were Meerwolfs, some of the stealthiest U-boats to have ever been built. So when the Poseidon fired several anti-U-boat missiles, U-266 sent an entire second in shock.

The captain recovered first and ordered a crash dive, for the USAM to return fire, and to send a warning to the other U-boats. The crash dive and warning were carried out instantly, but the USAMs were another matter. The USAM system was new and unfamiliar, causing the crew to waste several precious seconds as they fumbled with it. Finally two USAMs were launched and passed the anti-U-boat missiles.

As the U-boats dived, they released naval mines to try to destroy or damage the incoming missiles. The mines detonated destroying some, and damaging the rest which continued on to the U-boats.

U-266 had one blow up near its tower causing no hull damage, but damaged the USAMs’ targeting and their comms. Whether they could fire at another air target was doubtful.

U-245 had one blow right behind it damaging the AIP, making it slower and make noise. The U-boat was terrified, a loud U-boat is a dead U-boat.

U-109 was hit dead on, but the missile’s trigger was damaged so it bounced off with no damage.

Then their sonars detected something big crashing into the water. They weren’t going to take any chances so each fired three torpedoes at whatever just fall into the water.
-----------------------------------------------
Denmark

The air above the Prussian artillery camp was chaos. The sudden arrival of the Valkyries and their surprise attack had downed several Taifuns. In addition the Taifuns were tied up in fight the Valkyries so they couldn’t fight the stealth bombers wreaking havoc. The MANTIS systems and Wächter Zeppelin tried controlling the damage by shooting down incoming missiles, but there was only so much they could do. The Taifun squadron that had moved to support the jaegers had to come back to help.

However not all was looking grim for the Prussians. The Taifuns still outnumbered their enemies, and every veteran pilot knows that you have to trade speed for fuel and movability. Going that fast, they had to be guzzling fuel like a fat man eats donuts. Plus while the Flakpanzers were focused on shooting down the Air to ground missiles and firing SAMs, they were putting so much fire into the air in the vague diction of the bombers that a few 30 mm cannons were bound to hit.

The Wächter Zeppelin tried helping the fight by focusing one of its five anti-missile lasers on the Valkyries. The laser did more damage the faster the target went, but whether or not the Valkyries were going fast enough for the laser to cause serious damage was uncertain.

More Taifuns were being scrambled from nearby airfields while the remaining artillery did the only thing they could, keep the barrage going.

Another squad of StuGs were deployed to defensive ambush spots. The commanders made sure that by ambush they meant hide in Prussian controlled territory and wait for the enemy to come, not ignore the spots and charge fifteen kilometers at the enemy line where they would be in range of enemy support. And they were built with a low profile and smokescreens for a reason if they got in trouble. The sheer stupidly of the last squad made a very bad impression on the StuG commanders.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Belgium

The Field Marshals went over the reports for the day. Casualties were very light except for the penal battalions that charged the enemy lines to find the enemies’ hard points. That was unsurprising since they were acting so conservatively, staying in their trenches and bombarding the enemy with their artillery. After all their role was to hold the enemy in place for the flank attack.

Denmark

In the skies above, the Valkries were slowly being shot down one-by-one. It was too dangerous for them to withdraw, and they needed to remain in action until the AV-8B jets made it into combat. With how the dogfight was currently going, and with more German Planes coming in constantly, they needed those AVs now.

On the ground, the Penal Company Legion was forced out of the trenches in order to make a charge for the German Lines. It was useless to complain. Once you were in the Penal Legion, simply going against the commanding officer's orders meant death. But no one was about to openly complain. After all, they signed away their freedom when they chose military service over jail time.

As the Penal Legion stormed across the field, they were bombarded by enemy mortars, killing anything caught in the blast. once they made it to the bottom of the hill, they encountered a few snipers, who were taken care of rather quickly, though at the cost of quite a few soldiers. They continued their charge, even through the attacks by the anti-tank weapons. Finnaly, they made it to the German Lines with only a quarter of their original numbers. But it didn't matter. They couldn't turn back now. Instead, they jumped straight into the trenches with their bayonets at ready.

Penal Legion before charge: 1,200
Penal Legion after charge: 300

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The KCS Mahri made it's way through the water with caution. It was possible that the German submarines were still mostly intact, and the crew treated the mission as if they were about to run into a fully-intact u-boat fleet. With any luck, they would only have to go into a clean-up mission. But as luck may have it....

"Captain! I'm picking upmultiple signals on radar."

"How many?"

"I'm reading three signals."

"That would mean that-"

"That the German subs survived the initial strike!"

"Captain, what are your orders?"

"Get everyone to battle stations! I don't fancy swimming this far below the surface today!"
