Survival in space can be a precarious thing for any star state. Trade is one of the few things that can mean living comfortably or living dismally. As such star states that can, go to great lengths to ensure that their trade routes remain unhindered by any interference. Some star states do not have the capability or resources to protect their nation’s merchant vessels from the various hazards that are commonplace amongst the Galaxy. And during times of high brigand activity these nations struggle to maintain their lifelines. Recently though after years of collaboration and construction between multiple Warrior Houses, Labor Houses, and Merchant Houses the Interstellar Consortium of Avlana is proud to announce the establishment of the Swift Winds Trade Route.
Starting from the Anverior Colony of the Consortium along the Alpha and Gamma Quadrant’s borders the Swift Winds Route extends northward into the Gamma Quadrant before making a long slow arc towards the Liu Xiu Special Economic Zone. Along the trade route are multiple way stations. These are intended to be stop points for merchant ships that are in need of supplies, repairs, or rest. They also serve as barracks and outposts for multiple Warrior Houses that have been tasked with ensuring the Swift Winds Route remains free from any pirate activity that has plagued merchant ships in the Galaxy for far too long.
Each way station is fully manned with several maintenance docks for any repairs a merchant ship might need along with the finest medical bays the Consortium can offer and several other comforts for ship’s crews to enjoy while docked so long as they observe the laws and regualtions of the COnsortium. Furthermore each way station is fully stocked with food stocks, water, and medical supplies for merchant ships to resupply if necessary. Each way station also retains no less than one cruiser, two destroyers, four frigates and eight corvettes at any time to ensure the safety of each station and their occupants as well as a full battalion of Avan Marines to ensure peace and order are maintained as well as defense,
For a small fee that is adjusted to the price of a merchant ships cargo value, entities from various nations can use the Swift Winds Route with the full guarantee that they will arrive from where they join the route to the Liu Xiu Special Economic Zone, if for some reason a merchant ship is lost, after a full investigation, if the Consortium is found to be at fault the Consortium will fully reimburse whatever entity paid for the use of Swift Winds for the entirety of their lost cargo.
