To: Western Pacific Territories
From: The Government of Mitheldalond, Office of the King

To the Government of the West Pacific,

The nation of Mitheldalond has seen your plight and has authorized military intervention to help you reclaim your homeland from these invaders. The Third Fleet has been dispatched to your assistance, and should be arriving in the combat area even as you are reading this message.

Godspeed,
King Valendur of Mitheldalond

250 km from the WPT coast, heading east:

The six fast battleships of the Mitheldalondian Third Fleet plowed steadily through the water, surrounded by the 15 destroyers of their three escorting destroyer squadrons. About 100km behind them was the core of the fleet: four fast fleet carriers, 8 anti-aircraft cruisers, 20 anti-aircraft destroyers, and 4 battlecruisers. 100km to either side of and behind the core group was a formation of four light carriers and their escorts: 4 battlecruisers, 2 destroyer squadrons, 4 AA cruisers, and a squadron of AA destroyers. Spread between the four point groups was a screen of light scout cruisers. Scout planes filled the air around the fleet, ranging as far as 100km from the fleet's edge, and scanning the sea below for any sign of enemy warships.

Very soon now, the Mitheldalondian Third Fleet would meet the enemy in the battle for the Western Pacific.

IC:
Off the coast of Maui...
"Alright, is the radio working now?" the captain onboard questioned. He was in command of the 1st Fleet, consisting of 1 battleship, 3 destroyers and 1 submarine. He questioned the radio officer. "Um, I think it's working now." said the radio officer. "Think? We need to be sure. A Mitheldalond fleet is coming to our aid and we need to contact them to give them the targets we can't get into range. If we give them the targets we can't hit, and they help us out and fire on them, this war will turn around." said the captain.

Ahem. There is no possible way a peace conference would be held realistically. If I wasn't in such a bad position, maybe. Banbardi won't accept at this time. Leave unless you have something else to say.

The Government of USHALLNOTPASS will shelter the leaders of the Western Pacific Territories. We will also provide financial aid and supplies to your citizens. We, however, will not directly combat the forces of Banbardi.

You know whats funny, the only family member left is the 6 year old son. They have no chance of victory, mor will the gun fore stop untill they surrender, either that or i use more of agent blood.

Hey now, you don't decide the age of my son. Hang on, I'm pulling out the number generator. And... he is literally 16. I am not joking. Perhaps he is ready to take command.

That was in ancient china, but it was a well founded and intelligent practice. There was an emeperor who was 6 months old

Mitheldalondian Third Fleet:

Aboard the fleet flagship, the MNS Gwaihir an officer was gesturing to the tactical map while he spoke to the fleet commander, Admiral Daeron. "According to a recent message from the Western Pacific navy, the main strength of the Banbardian fleet is concentrated here. Our scout planes have just confirmed this."

"Very well," said Admiral Daeron. "We'll begin our attack with a wave of dive bombers to soften them up, then follow up with torpedo bombers. Signal the fleet to move into combat formation and have the carriers start launching their aircraft. We'll coordinate it so that all the aircraft are hitting at once."

The orders were issued, and the fleet began moving into position. The battleship group maneuvered to position itself between the fleet carriers and the enemy warships. The light carriers began moving inward towards the core group, opening the distance between themselves and the fringes of the fleet, where any surface action was most likely to occur. Meanwhile, squadron after squadron of aircraft lifted off the flight decks of the Third Fleet's sixteen aircraft carriers. 120 fighters took to the sky, providing top cover for the 240 dive bombers being sent to attack the enemy fleet. In reality, the fighters and dive bombers were the same model of aircraft; the only difference was that the "bombers" were currently loaded with a pair of 1000 pound bombs and one 500 pound bomb each, while the fighters each carried a pair of drop tanks full of fuel. This meant that once their bombs were away, the dive bombers would be able to join the air-to-air combat over the enemy fleet.

The ominous drone of hundreds of piston engines filled the air as the massive formation of aircraft soared over the fleet on their way to meet the enemy.

  • 4 fleet carriers:
    • 60 fighter/bombers
    • 36 torpedo bombers
  • 12 light carriers:
    • 24 fighter/bombers
    • 12 torpedo bombers
  • 6 fast battleships
  • 16 battlecruisers
  • 24 light cruisers
  • 20 AA cruisers
  • 45 destroyers
  • 35 AA destroyers

Total number of aircraft is 528 fighter/bombers, 288 torpedo bombers, and about 228 scout fighters (from the cruisers and battleships).

Also, this is only about a fifth of my full Navy. In case anyone was wondering.
