As the war seems a bit too simple, made a new NPC faction to add a spice to the storyline, hope you guys are alright with that.
“In the practical art of war, the best thing of all is to take the enemy's country whole and intact; to shatter and destroy it is not so good. So, too, it is better to recapture an army entire than to destroy it, to capture a regiment, a detachment or a company entire than to destroy them. Hence to fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting.”

Anything I can do to help?
Vanq commands a quiet respect that carries its own authority. He is the Hitler of NS.

"I took away Vanq's YB for deliberatly ignoring me"
"I know Vanq is a very good writer and this is how he treats someone of lesser skill?"
"I would love to have a writer of your caliber along for the ride"
"neo and vanq do a dbz fusion to form 1 big shitposter then get erased from NS by kyrusia"
"Which is the level of memeing I expect from Vanq"
"brigadier general comes on, pulls a vanq and calls us all autistic"

A new faction's intervention does not mean it must continue for too long,as peace talk can still take place, and if both side manage to reach a consensus, the war can still end as expected.

Not to mention that, even with this new faction, the peace talk can shrink the whole battlefield to southern China.

The trick can have possible side effect,if the foreign socialist armed force have gone out of control,NPE will need to get prepared on losing southern China and a part of Vietnam in the final peace treaty.

Not to mention that China may want to take Southern China back,so Chinese invasion is possible, increasing the risk of losing a big part of Southern China(Taiwan and Hainan may stay in your territory though, seeing that they are islands.)

And again, "If"

We foresaw this situation already and currently sending a spy to instigate a Coup d 'etat.

The problem is,Tangaliro,as a nation with a huge chinese origin, also have their own agents stationed around China with the permission of Chinese government. So,if theres an encounter, things will happen.
