Pradigos, Latonos

The sun had long set, the Pradigos blockade was established with Natalite forces on one side and Communist forces on the other. Severely weakened by a lack of proper structure, the shock of the Natalites uprising which had taken most of the country hostage in such a short amount of time had severely destroyed any belief in the Communist structure. Yet, they stood tall, knowing that they would probably be killed by a natalite invasion which could come at any second.

The night ahead would prove to be furiously cold, and with a large amount of battles already occurring within Latonos, the Communists believed that they wouldn't be able to hold out for much longer...

Sitislamini, Latonos

The night had risen, and the Black revolution has dominated the streets.
Confused, members of the Far North Soviet surrendered to well-armed forces that were more well armed and professional than the anti-communist protesters.

Members of the Black Revolution seized the northern half. The Socialist Republic is quickly losing control over the nation, and demonstrations are only getting worse in Valdograd - the current seat of Government.

Dan's pulled out, a major sea battle went on between the USCN and Venderland imperial navy, freakoland accidentally captured our admirals, and more international powers are mobilizing to invade and support their preferred faction. Anyone else want to fill in any blanks?

(From what I know, some other factions are fighting in the sea at the moment. On my part, several dozen planes carrying a total of 5,000 Torroccan peacekeepers and several tons of supplies are en route to Communist Latonos and are needing permission to land.)

De Grave looked at the map, and studied it with curiosity. He needed to make contact with the government of Latonos, and ask them if the would like his support.

ATTENTION LATONOS:

I, the Grand Admiral of the Imperial Freakish Navy, hereby inquires if you would like our support. If you would like, we can deploy our Marines and have them support you at Pragdigos. If you choose to deny our support, we shall continue our offensive to eliminate the Communist region.

Signed,
Grand Admiral Frederick de Grave

Admiral Perry stared our the clean shores near the city of Pradigos. If the landing here succeseded the southern island would be under Natalist control. He examined the map while asking the pilot of the few remaining F-79 Lewis VTOLs "What do their shore defenses look like?"

"So do we have a deal? My fleet continues it's mission to support the Natalists and we help you?" O'Brian asked De Grave out stretching his right hand.

OOC: Long travel time.

750 kilometers south of Trygosi bay

The Icatian fleet continued to progress towards the island cluster, entertained only by radio chatter on their multi-day trip.

"Sir," the Navigation Chief from the I.N.S. Flagrant crackled across the radio, "We're within combat range of the other fleets."
The Captain of the fleet paced by the radio, flipping through his plans.
"All Commanders," he broadcast on the Fleet radio frequency, "Due to the lack of confirmed information we currently possess, namely the fleets firing on each other and promptly stopping, we will have to assume that we may be fired on before communication can be established. I want all vessels ready for combat to the greatest extent possible. We on the I.N.S. Tundra shall work on finding out who is aligned with who, and continue to communicate with the Admiral." Changing to public frequencies, he declared to anyone listening;
"This is the I.N.S. Tundra of the 3rd Icatian Fleet. We are entering these waters as a neutral party, but we will respond to hostile actions appropriately. We intend to respond to any broadcasts directed towards us, and we encourage for the current fleets to attempt to communicate so as to prevent misunderstandings that may have disastrous consequences. We shall continue towards the islands unless otherwise instructed."

Meanwhile the surface ships of the Federation started to form into lines abreast in several locations where the major battle happened just a moment ago, leaving only the battleships to protect and surround the AOR, who ensured to keep the rest of the surface ships between themselves and the other fleets. Using practice manoeuvres at slow speeds and helos that directed from above, the ships launched their respective small boats with divers to begin the tedious search for any survivors or bodies that were in the water.

Most small boats returned to their respective ships whenever they found something, hoisting it up very carefully in a Billy Pugh stretcher for the ship's Doc, the senior PA, to assess. Numbered, they would then be moved to the triage in the hanger where they would begun their treatment from the casualty clearerers lead by Baby Doc, the jr. PA aboard, or be prepared to be airlifted the next time the Tanker's helo came around. It was a long job, a painstaking job, and an ugly job. Sometimes they fished out sailors or airmen, sometimes it was a chard or mangled mess that was quickly then placed into the corner with a sheet draped over until a sailor not involved in the first aid could come by. He would only then quickly try to identify the poor fellow, or at least his nationality, taking a tally and keeping the record before leaving various three letter indicator drawn in a black marker on the sheet. They can be bagged and thrown into the potato locker later when those with a fighting chance are done, the dead weren't going anywhere yet and it maybe sometime before their own nation could repatriate them.

It was amazing how professional, calm and unaffected the crew seemed as they worked; however, it was without a doubt in anyone's mind that when it was over the nightmares that will come from this will long haunt them. War was never fun and the aftermath is no better. Though some of these deaths, these brutally killed men and women, were most likely caused by their hand...the sailors of the Federation had no hatred or qualms about the Vender fleet. Some even felt sorry for them and worked even harder to save as many as they could, wishing that when the day comes and the tides were turned, someone would do the same to them. For it was an unspoken law of the sea, or at least to those with honour on the sea, to never leave a sailor in the water to die if it could be helped.

Captain Fillanston returned to the bridge after the meeting and planning, watching the other fleets so fearfully. He's taken a big risk by setting up this retrieval and though he knew it was the right thing to do, it was a risky thing to do. If any of these ships turned hostile again, the Federation's ability to counter the attack is greatly reduced. His resources were spread wide and the ships were more open. Even the high valued unit, the tanker, only had a few battleships around it and if that was sunk, the fleet could be in desperate trouble and may not have enough fuel to return home. It was a gamble based on the temperaments of nations he just met, but considering the lives at risk...if Captain Fillanston didn't take that gamble and no further sea conflicts broke out, he knew he wouldn't ever be able to sleep peaceful at night again.

But Captains can't show worry, fear, or doubt. So confidently he took his place on the bridge and sat in his chair with a jolly smile on his face while he turned to Squid, who now looked tired and a bit older from the day's experience, "Squid, I think that went well. Far better than my first battle, I can tell you that. When I was a 'new car smelling' LT, we got into a little skirmish with Loas forces over some regional conflict. Well, I was so keen and eager I tried to put on my flack jacket without undoing both sides only to force my head through an arm hole and my arm though the head hole!" He then broke out into a reminiscing chuckle, though at the time it was no laughing matter, "In the end I was so messed up that as I continued to struggle with it on, my helmet fell to the deck and I tripped on it, smashing my head on the pelorus and knocking myself out."

"Nearly got awarded a wound stripe for that, and the old man ended up calling me up the following divies to give me a half-wound stripe he had ordered just for me...which was a wound stripe cut in half...I had to wear that for the rest of the sail...that and take remedial flack jacket training. So," he trailed off, looking at the young Lt Squindofinchov with a fatherly smile, "you did good. Now we just have to cut those fellows' impromptu swimming ex short and take them home. That's all we got to do now and I know you got it."

Hearing the I.N.S. Tundra make the call over the radio, the Captain soon turned his attention to the situation unfolding as he grabbed the mic to respond, " I.N.S. Tundra, this is Federation Warship Shadowfox, the flagship of the Federation fleet you see here. Just wanted to let you know that I have no intentions of continuing this pointless bloodbath unless myself or the USC fleet are fired upon. Only then I will take action to defend myself or our region mate. Consider yourself warned as we have already once had to show our teeth and we are willing to do it again if needed, possibly with the backup of more ships as another fleet is en-route since our first confrontation. Please do not test us as there is already enough blood in the water.

Oh and beware, there may still be debris and men in the water as you transit. I request you provide aid and, if not possible, at least contact any Federation Warships about the man's whereabouts. We also request a five mile radius for safety and security as we continue our recovery operations."

The Freakish Flotilla appeared on the horizon, as a swift, morning breeze blew with it. The city of Pragdigos reflected the sun's vibrant morning shine, limiting the occupants view of the fleet on the horizon.
"All ships, prepare for landings, I repeat, prepare for landing operations" a voice announced on the intercom. All over the fleet, men could be seen reporting to their stations. The Landing Craft were circling the LST's and carriers, loading on tanks and men.

In a brief time frame, the Freakish Amphibious force fully assembled, preparing to deploy to Pragdigos, where they will assist in the fight against the Communist forces.

O'Brian found the radio aboard the New Amsterdam and informed Perry about the new alliance between the two (or three if the Venderlands didn't screw things up) alliance.

The 1st Fleet got closer and closer toward the city of Pradigos. As they did activity could be seen all around the ships. Of course some of it was desperate attempts to patch up the carriers. On the LSTs tanks were rolled to the front with APCs, Soldiers were loading their weapons and COs and high ranking soldiers were discussing the best plan for a quick and powerful punch upon landing, and Admiral Perry was now discussing with his officers the best positions for the fleet to take when the landing would commence.
"We still don't have good intel though," the Communications officer complained "so what's the point of all this planning with non-complete intel?"
Bradley, who finished smoking his cigarette answered:
"We do know they have tanks located near the beach along with plenty of fortifications such as razor wire and pillboxes, along with a string of AA batteries located near the tanks positions to prevent an easy knock out by our air force. If my message to the Natalists gets through we'll have the Commies fighting on two fronts and if we're lucky it'll be bad enough they'll be forced to draw some tanks form here. Doubly lucky if the Natalists have some captured artillery to shell the beach with. While that happens we'll launch our landing from air by the Lewis' and sea with our landing craft. First landing craft wave will consist of Tanks and APCs to try and advance as far forward as they can with the tank traps in the way and then focus fire on the Pillboxes. Second wave will have combat engineers that will focus on destroying obstacles in the way. The airborne troop's purpose is to land behind enemy lines and do as much damage as possible destroying bridges, cutting telephone lines, switch signs around, anything and everything to cause misdirection. This misdirection will be backed up by a fake landing that will be located far closer to Pradigos. If this plan works we'll be flying the Stars and Stripes over Pradigos in a matter of hours."

Vender carriers could be seen preparing for the support of the Freaks landing, and the later landings of their own.

New Damien Vesper supports the Black Revolution.

Sitislamini, Latonos

Vesperian military transport ships landed on the coast. The newly created Vesperian ShockTroopers were marching out of them. This war was going to be the testing grounds for the ShockTroopers. They were inspired by Kaizer's horrific ShockTroopers during the Vesper-Kaizer Wars, which horrified every single Vesperian even to this day.

Another shipment of ShockTroopers were unloaded and began marching towards Valdograd.

OOC: Sorry for absences, will be more active.

EDIT: snip United States of Columbia and Scarsaw quotes.

I.N.S. Tundra
The Captain of the fleet listened as the other fleets responded, each with their own respective messages and requests.
"As I mentioned, we are currently entering this conflict as a neutral party. We've received from our superiors, however, and we know which political army we support. Now, we expect your to answer the same question."
Directing his attention to the Warship Shadowfox's transmission, he broadcast;
"Glad to hear someone's making direct contact. We do not intend to fire on your ships, nor do we intend to fire on the USC fleet either. We shall have our men keep an eye out for any of your sailors that may be stranded in the water, however there is no guarantee that we will be able to find anyone. We will also honor your request, and our fleet shall not move within a 5 mile radius of your detected fleet location. I hope that we may be allies in the future."

------------------------------------------------

Cosa Mesa, Icatus
"Sir," the Icatian Aeronautics and Space Administration's government representative spoke over the VoIP connection, "Our satellites are visually confirming the first deployment of mechanized units along the coast of Pragdigos, flying the banner of yet another nation named 'Freakoland'. There are also troop movements being conducted by a nation called 'New Damien Vesper', and we predict that their headed towards Valdograd."
Daniel Kashmir stood among his General, Admiral, and the Chief of the Air Force, plotting out the newest information onto a touch-pad map.
"Are there any other developments we should be aware of?" The general inquired.
"Not as of current, however if anything happens you will be the first to know." The representative responded.
"Thank you for your continued service." Daniel said, and severed the call. He turned towards his staff, each of them still looking down towards the map. "What is your decision?"
"I'll send a fairly sized contingency force to the region, do you want them to be mechanized?" The General replied, still looking towards the map.
"That would be best, assuming we plan on setting up a base close to Trygosi." The Chief of the Air Force added.
"Do we need an enlarged naval presence?" The Admiral asked as he stood up, stretching his aging back.
"We shouldn't need it," Daniel chimed in, "As long as you can befriend the other fleets, we won't need more ships, aside from the supply convoys that will be needed."
"Alright, then, I'll have the Tundra negotiate with the USC and Scarsaw fleets and find out who they support, and we'll support them until events decide otherwise." The Admiral replied.
"I'll begin mobilizing the force, they'll be ready in a day or two." The General commented.
"I'll do the same for the Air Force." The Chief commented.
"Good to know we've decided." Daniel said, a small grin drawn across his face as he walked out of the room.

The landing forces were deployed onto the beach head in a matter of minutes, taking a light fire from the buildings overlooking the city. The fighters were supporting their advance, dropping loads of explosives on the enemy positions.

Stemic Strait, Latonos

500 Vesperian jets controlled by ShockTroopers were mere minutes away from the islands in the Stemic Strait. When they reached the first island, some started bombing and the others went on to bomb the rest.

Valdograd, Latonos

5,000 Vesperian ShockTroopers started attacking the outskirts of Valdograd. The Inquisitor that was in charge of them had ordered 100 planes that were stationed in a hanger close to Sitislamini to start flying to Valdograd for an Aerial Assault.
