A bill has entered the Vermontian House of Representatives, stating that the nation will slightly decrease in order to allow for paper bills to be backed by gold. This would be gradually phased in, over 1-2 years. In the house, the bill passed, 81-69. When it entered the Senate, after a short filibuster, the bill passed 20-10.
