On Government: Checks and balances and ways of stopping things from happening are the only things that provide a stable government and a stable society.

On Democracy: It is a very neutral thing. It can be the best way of ensuring a reasonable government, or it can lead to genocide in the name of 'the people'.

On NSG: I believe the technical term for you people is "malformed conscience".

On society: Until reason and science become cool again, the "enlightened" who profess both but practice neither will continue to gleefully chip away at the bedrock of human society.

Looking over the notes for the meeting she saw that the citizenship issue had not been resolved for that bill. "Deace votes Nay."

"I'm quite sorry that your concerns were never addressed more fuller into the resolution. Its just that when a certain nation decided to but in and hijack our conversation, no one said anything for awhile. Thus I assumed that no one had qualms and would have been glad to move on and vote."
Stephanie gave a consolatory shrug.

"Vancouvia votes nay, especially since our concerns with language as a protected class were not considered," said Augustia, throwing her red scarf around her neck and frowning at the others who had voted the opposite.

Awiti kept her expression neutral as she registered what the Svalbardian delegate just did. She just shrugged, at an international meeting at my concern. Does she have no respect for decorum or just my country in particular?

"I did raise concerns and then you let the dopplerian delegate in and let him raise a fuss over the security council without bring his attention to the bill on the floor. You just admitted him and gave no introduction or explanation for what was being discussed you just let the conversation drift in the first matter brought to the assembly since you have taken office."

Now she glared at the svalbardian delegate.

"Since I have taken office? Are you talking about the Secretary General?"
Stephanie was quite a bit confused now as the delegate from deace had seconded the move to vote... why had she not brought up her qualms. I would have asked to decline my motion...
"If I would, you seconded the motion to vote. If you had brought forth qualms, I would have asked the Secretary-General to disregard my motion so that we could continue on conversation."

Sveihl looked at the person claiming to be from Athara Magarat. "Sir, Athara Magarat was never admitted to the league, nor did your nation ever ask to be in it. You have no right to vote, and to be quite honest you should not be here. Would your nation like to apply for membership or observer status?"

He looked around, no one else seemed keen to vote. Thus he rapped his gavel.

"Delegates this resolution fails, with a vote of 3 in favor, 6 against, and 8 abstentions. The nations of Eutristan and Nankaena wish to join the league, please vouch for or against. If anyone would like to discuss a topic please bring it forth."

"Polar Svalbard shall vouch for both nations."
Stephanie looked to her tablet and scrolled through the news to see if there was anything pressing that would need to be discussed.

Ashur Baptiste looked at his watch and grew weary, thinking of his bed in his room but reality struck when he remembered his duties as representative to the Union. "The Union vouches for both nations requesting to join the league." With that he drank some coffee hoping to stay awake a little while longer.
