While I appreciate your offer, I will provide the transportation for the Sjealandian tourists across the border. A detachment of guards will be sent out across the bridge to retrieve the tourists, and from there on they will be under Chernarussian authority and we will be responsible for getting them safely back to Sjealand.

Upon receiving the letter from the Chernarussian border guards, the letter was, as well, checked from bombs, virus, eavedropping, anything that would pose a threat to the General, they didn't find anything, however, and the letter finally reached into Marcus' hands. Marcus, being grateful that his request is heard and accepted, took his pen and wrote,
Premier Nikoláy Medvedev of the Soviet People's Republic of Chernarus,
Thank you for accepting this task, I am quite grateful for that. I accept that you shall send in the transportation for the Sjealandians.

Current leader of the Armacian army,
Field Marshal Marcus Lee.

He called for one of his Major General, and ordered, "Take this letter and send it to our patrol border guards. Tell them that they are to leave their weapons behind, and have use the white flag sending this letter."
"Yes, sir."
"Also, send word to our troops to post more guards at the border entrance, several Chernarussian transportation will arrive to pick up the Sjealandian tourists that were stranded on our nation due to war. And also tell the troops to escort the tourists to the borders to wait for the transportation promised."
After thinking a little, Marcus had just noticed, "Also.. Give those tourists some rations and water, along with basic necessity if they do not have enough. Dismissed."

The Major General saluted and left the office, and headed for one of the barracks filled with reserved ADU(Armacian Defense Unit) troops and ordered them to stand guard at the patrol, telling them not to fire at all unless he himself is shot at, or when he orders them to fire. Right after that order, he would round up more troops and use them to create a path from the Sjealandian embassy to have the tourists follow to the borders, to which they will sit at the border and await for their transport home. The tourists were treated relatively kindly by Armacian troops when they had any request which was promptly fulfilled if it wasn't an outrageous one.

Excellent. My friends and allies, it is time to consolidate our resources. Operation First Strike was, I admit, a catastrophic failure, but I did not count on how fast the IAIN would mobilize their military. Most of the IAIN do not pose a threat to us, and our main concerns here are Exaequatio and Soviet Chernarus. We cannot act against them as of yet - But what about the Hesperiae Federation? They are threatening our allies who choose to stay out of war. Their army is weak, their defences paltry. With our combined might we could crush them in a few days. The IAIN does not know our next move, and that is an advantage. They can only expect where we will attack, and as such they seem to focus on Sjealand. Exaequatio would take too long and ridding the other islands would provide no real advantage, so we will have to go after the smallest member and destroy them before they can react.

[I]Sorry for not replying there has been some technical difficulty's at the office recently. However I regret to inform you we will not be joining the war yet. Though since we are bound by alliance we will keep sending you supplies along with the stuff we already sent. Volunteers will also be joining you. Chernarusso-Armacian Border

4 buses were waiting as the Sjealandian tourists were escorted by Armacian soldiers to the Chernarusso-Armacian Border. They had to first store whatever luggage they brought with them in the bus's cargo holds. It appeared they had already been issued some meals for their trip, but they were given snacks anyway as the buses started to drive along a road which would lead them to a nearby airport. The plane would then proceed to take them back to Sjealand.

Alliance HQ

An official statement has been issued by Field Marshal Nicholas Packevich regarding a meeting in the Alliance HQ concerning the war:

Code: Select all

From: Field Marshal Nicholas Packevich of the Soviet People's Liberation Army

This message concerns a meeting which will involve all commanding generals and marshals of all nations in the Alliance, in order to discuss the war and possible strategies to help fulfill our main goal: the defense of all Allied countries from enemy attack. We will also be discussing the best and more efficient way to attempt to instigate unrest in order to disrupt war efforts in the countries of the IFCC, as well as recent news pertaining to the war. The meeting will be scheduled in 1 week, at Room 701-E in the Alliance HQ.

Overlooking the whole operation, Marcus is relieved that the civilians are able to pass to Chernarus borders and will soon fight for their homeland, much like his own troops that would die for ArmaSimplex. He set down on his desk and begin writing a message before passing it to his Lieutenant General, Hanson, "Hanson, or Mike, whichever you please, would you send this message to Sjealand? Use the highest encryption method possible. Oh, and improve your English, please, maybe try speaking English to me. I've heard from the World Council that you had trouble trying to communicate properly there." Mike snorted, and replied, "Y-yes... And I would prefer to called as Mike, walls have ears, and I do not want them to find out our relationship."
"Da... Either way, send that message."
“是的。”

Emperor Frederik of Sjealand,
I have sent all your civilians and tourists to Chernarus to which the Premier will send them back to your soil safely, I believe. I hope that the controversy of my nation being in IFCC had not deteriorate our relationship, I had declared neutrality anyway to prevent war between our two countries. Either way, I hope you yourself is safe from the war, and that the civilians sent back to you will be helpful. I had asked your civilians to smuggle some money, each and everyone, to your nation, so you would be able to use the extra funds for the war. No one else knows this, and I hope this secret stays between the two of our nations.

I wish you luck in the war,
Field Marshal Marcus Lee.

The Ukranas message was received by a JPS officer who quickly took the message to Eichmann.
Meanwhile in Eichmann's throne room, there were some unexpected issues that he needed to solve. After Ziett's death, Eichmann ordered all of Ziett's children killed, this was of course to avoid any potential heirs to the throne. However recently, after a lengthy investigation it was found that about thirty or so of Ziett's children had survived.
"What!?" Eichmann stood up in shock. "This is preposterous! I thought you killed all of them!?"
"Emperor, there were so many children of his it is difficult to track. Some believe we still may have missed a dozen more or so..."
"Before I was emperor, I was the Supreme Group Leader of the secret police. I know how it operates! The JPS takes pride in its efficiency. Its known all throughout the world as brutal, omniscient, and evil! What if this ever got out to the rest of the world of such a blunder!? We'd be the laughing stock! Such a stain you've made on the JPS will not go unpunished!" He looked at his guards. "Get rid of him... permanently." The guards grabbed the officer and carried him away as he begged for his life. Eichmann then ordered his remaining guards to bring in Ziett's children. "Well hello little ones." He looked around at all of them. "Kill them. Kill them all." The guards machine gunned them all down. "Now I want the rest of his children found imediately! Consider it your number one priority!" He then looked at his laptop and brought up a list of potential intelligence leaders to replace the one he ordered to be executed.

The JPS officer who had received the Ukranas message ran into the room and paused, looking at all the dead bodies. "Sir, a message from Ukranas." Still looking at the bodies.
"Oh please excuse the mess... Its not usually like this." As several janitors entered the room. "Let me see the message." Eichmann read it. "Great, send them a message that will say;"

Sounds excellent. We will donate any troops and weapons you need. This Hesperia will be crushed. How will we divide up the rewards? We are sorry to hear about Antarctica, we hope your imperialistic endeavors become more positive in the future.

The Hesperiae Campaign was launching today. The military had chosen a different approach, planning a light skirmish on the beach with the paltry Hesperian defences. A creeping barrage would hopefully keep enemy heads down while the troops advanced. The small contingent of troops wasn't expected to break through, but they would serve to distract the coastal fortifications while other moves happened behind the scene - Namely, paratroopers armed to the teeth. The Hesperian Campaign was expected to last 2 days at most, due to the combined might of Inprobus, Ukranas, the Nickel Empire and the Colony of Canadas. Hesperian forces were going to be weak in the face of this united enemy, and the IAIN would not expect a Blitzkrieg on such a minor ally. Once the beach was taken, the Nickelized mechanized divisions would draw fire and clear the path for the infantry advancing behind.

The planes and boats were already on the way, having passed through the naval patrols in the dead of night. The alarm would be raised, but they would manage to work fast enough. The bombardment came without warning, surprising the Hesperians. Despite preparing for war, they had not expected it to come to them so soon. The tiny squad of Ukranasian soldiers, well-trained as they were, proved easy to defeat by sheer numbers, but it was already too late - Dozens of planes had flown overhead, dropping 12 paratroopers each. Carrying submachine guns and demolition equipment, they quickly began the task of destroying the fortifications. Hopefully, this assault would go better than the last campaign. Surely the IAIN couldn't mobilize their entire navy to another continent in just a few hours...

IAIN Base, somewhere in chernarus.

Frederik marched into the meeting room. ''They have invaded Hesperiae! They passed through our patrolls! They army wont last long, we have to retreat to safe ground and begin a counterattack'' He threw his coat on a chair and folded out a map of the world. The attack had completely suprised the IAIN, and left both Coolkid91 and huristan in danger.

''I have to contact Sidas, gods i hope he isnt in Hesperiae yet. Whats our response time general?''

''Not fast enough sir, our closest battlegroup is over 150 nautical miles away from the invasion spot, i suggest we retreat to defend the main islands of Hesperiae, or retreat completely from the gulf.''

''Damnit!, where are the other leaders, when i need them. Contact the army and the foreign legionaries, tell them to prepare for a possible invasion. And prepare... the gifts, i cannot risk an attack on Sjealand or Yashintekina. It is up to the navy and the Hesperian millitary to fight now, but get me a status on what we controll'' OOC: if the IFCC could tell what islands you controll and are fighting on in Hesperiae, i will make a map

The line was falling apart. Lieutenant Tomás Soares watched with fear at the onslaught all about him, but he quickly gathered his composure and commanded his men, “Hold position! Hold it!” His platoon was gathered at the top of a hill, firing down on enemy soldiers as they charged for the defenses. His only combat vehicle had been stalled, but his men still had managed to turn the 40mm cannon against the invaders. He applauded them, even as artillery fell all around.

Looking north, he saw that the nearby line had been broken completely, and the invaders poured over the destroyed barricade and charged the tree line. The lieutenant witnessed a last futile charge by the mounted soldiers, rifles in hand, as their horses were mowed down from beneath them by machine gun fire. He demanded, “You, soldier, get me a radio.” His request having been fulfilled, Soares contacted his captain: “Captain, we need reinforcements down here! The north-central barricade has collapsed… artillery everywhere… My men are running low on ammunition!” The response was dismal. “We know lieutenant. But we can’t risk our tanks in this engagement. I have ordered all the available Leopard 2’s to fall back to defend the countryside.”

“We need to stop them! Ahh, d*mn it!” He slammed down the radio, but just then an artillery shell landed on the combat vehicle, exploding and sending shrapnel everywhere. His platoon on the hill shrieked in terror and pain, and many got up and ran into the woods, deserting. "Hold position!!" But as they left, more followed, until there were only four defenders in the line. God help Hesperia, thought the lieutenant.

On the HN Hesperus, President Sidas received the alarming news. His attendant warned, “Sir, we must turn this ship around, go somewhere safe like Chernarus or Sjealand.”

Resolutely, the president responded, “No, that is unacceptable. I will go to defend my people! Continue our present course; I want to be in Petra within the day.”

The General laughed and clapped his hands in delight, watching the scene on the beach unfold via satellite.

"This if the funniest thing I've ever seen! They are no match for our unstoppable army, one shot into the air and they bolt like rabbits! Soldiers? Them!? Don't make me laugh! Ha ha ha *wheeze* ha ha *cough* ha *hack*..."

The General calmed down after several deep breaths. "Anyway, Komarek, forward a message to the president that this is what they get for threatening our neutral friend ArmaSimplex. Also tell them that we'll only withdraw if they renounce the war against the IFCC, or we'll destroy everything in our path."

"Roger that, sir." said Komarek.

Heidelberg Palace, Heidelberg
Zambora
11:32 a.m.

"Your Majesty, I know that you have been rather negative on the idea of participating in the war, but I must ask you for one last time. What course of action would you recommend?" The Prime Minister of Zambora, Christophe Bonhomme, sat down in one of the many plush chairs that were situated throughout the room. The current situation that the world was in today made him somewhat uneasy, knowing that his armed forces could be called upon by the Queen at any moment. Although a war declaration would have to go through Parliament first, he knew that many of the top generals were steadfast supporters of her and wouldn't hesitate to follow her command if she were to give it. After no response was given, he continued to speak, "If you feel that it would be in our best interest to invest our resources into a war, I'm sure that I could get Parliament to approve a war declaration. We have the majority."

"You think I don't know that. What do you take me for, an imbecile?" Alexandrie Sauveterre, Queen of Zambora, whipped her head around to look at the Prime Minister. "I am fairly aware that your party holds the majority, lets not forget I am the one who helped you obtain it, Mr. Bonhomme" Alexandrie stood and moved to a window overlooking the lush gardens that she had maintained. "Need I remind you that Ukranus is right on our border? Yes, we could keep them out, but it would cause devastation to the border cities. I believe our best choice would be to remain neutral for the time being."

Christophe stood, turning towards the door. "Of course, Your Majesty," he said, bowing to her.

As he was just about to reach the door, Alexandrie spoke once more. "I want a more militarized border with Ukranus. We need to make sure they don't get any ideas of crossing into our country."

Christophe nodded, swiftly opening the door, leaving the room, and closing it behind him. He was satisfied with the meeting. Walking down the hall, waving a farewell to the number of Royal Guards he passed. He exited the Palace, getting into a limousine in the middle of his motorcade. Once the door was shut, he felt the car begin to move. It would only be a short drive and then a short flight back to the Capital where he would have to meet with the Minister of Defense, as well as making sure the world knew of Zambora's neutrality.

President Appeals to Petrokovia

As Hesperia comes under attack by Ukranas, David Sidas today made an appeal from the executive yacht, the HN Hesperus, while in route from Sjealand to his home country. Sidas based his argument on Article 2 Section 4 of the Charter of the United Democratic Alliance, which reads:

Code: Select all
…If a non-member State [of the United Democratic Alliance] attacks a member State of the UDA, all other member States must aid against the attacker.

He also relied on the history of strong support given by Petrokovia to the Hesperian Federation, and awaits a formal government response from Petrokovia. Similar appeals for help went out to other nations in the International Alliance of Island Nations, including Sjealand and Exaequatio.

Army Powerless to Stop Onslaught

Meanwhile, forces of the Hesperian Armed Forces so far have been unable to stop the Ukranasian attacks on the islands of Ficorum and Bonitatis, citing logical failures as a reason for the setback. Nevertheless, President Sidas remains determined to return to Hesperia.

Yashinese War Command, Yashin, Yashintekina Shogunate

"Sir, look. It appears that the enemy are assaulting Foederatio Hesperiae! That doesn't look good........."

The Yashinese War Command was filled with personnel of every caliber. From guards and veterans to generals and logisticians, every person needed to command the Yashinese war effort was in the reinforced building. It was heavily defended, like any important military structure. Today was however not looking good. Hostile forces were rapidly advancing forward in Foederatio Hesperiae, and the nearest fleets were unable to arrive in time to provide anything but a pointless slaughter.

General Haiko Tsukari surveyed a simulated representation of the battle, giving an accurate terrain and situational overview, but failing to provide exact information on anything. The Yashinese were yet to do much in the war, favouring a defensive strategy of their own coasts and islands. But this attack had led to the thought that the Yashinese may need to go on he attack.

The general immediately recognised the tactics at work. He had studied effective combat tactics and this one was easy to spot if you knew how to do it. "Blitzkrieg. A massive, rapid assault. No wonder they are having trouble holding out. We need to send some help over there."

A nearby official, the one responsible for coordinating battle plans, translating them to civilian terms and convincing the government to allow military action, spoke up. "General, we hardly have the resources to share on such an endeavour. Besides, our nearest nautical forces are barely out of the Sea of Shogun, and it would took days to get aircraft over there."

Sighing, the General recognised that the Yashinese could not help. "You are correct. We cannot do anything to aid them at this point." He turned to another group of individuals, this time naval commanders who were planning a possible offensive operation. "Is there anything we can do apart from sit and wait?"

One replied immediately. "Yes sir. We can afford to spare a few ships for some transportation efforts. In addition, the latest batch of jet aircraft will complete testing by the month's end. We have to wait a little, but I assure you that Yashin will be able to supply some resources to aid our allies."

Content with this for now, General Haiko Tsukari departed from the group, hoping to find a way that the Shogunate could do something other than await and repel an attack. Finding none so far, he left, his thoughts directed at the rapid completion of modern, long-range aircraft.

Greetings,

I give my gravest apologies that we are unable to aid you in the conflict currently occurring in your nation. Our forces are too far away to do anything but a massacre when we get there, and we lack the equipment or numbers to pose a threat to the enemy without making our homeland a massive target.

We are very sorry about this, and wish the best of luck in your efforts. If you can hold out until the end of the month, we can provide some aerial support and possibly some paratroopers, nut that is all.

Our deepest apologies yet again,

Yashinese War Command

Sjealandian Airport

A plane descended on the airport, carrying all of the Sjealandian tourists from ArmaSimplex. They were treated well as any other passenger would be, and the trip barely took a few hours, given Sjealand's close proximity to Chernarus. They were now back in Sjealand.

Meeting Room
Alliance HQ

So far only the King from Sjealand was present in the meeting; no one else had responded to the statement except for Sjealand, and with this absence of other world leaders, there was no way they could coordinate an effective strategy against the IFCC. Didn't they realize how important the meeting was? Both the Minister of National Defense and Field Marshal Packevich were present. News of the invasion of Hesperaie had reached Alliance HQ, and the situation was grim - Ukranesian soldiers were quickly invading and advancing against the Hesperaiean defensive lines which had crumbled under the onslaught. The Alliance certainly didn't expect an attack to come to quickly, and the Navy wasn't yet ready for deployment to another continent. As the King rushed in, saying things to his General, Packevich sought for an opening for him to state his opinion. "I apologize for interrupting, and I understand if you can't spare any troops or ships due to the fear of a Coalition Invasion - which is likely, even despite the patrols around your seas - we can. Our total military numbers around 2,500,000, and they are quickly rising. I can spare up to 50,000 Naval Infantry for an emergency coastal landing to aid our ally. However, the transport ships in which the naval infantry will ride on will have to be escorted, which only increases the time needed to prepare for a landing. At the very least, 2 weeks would be enough to prepare for it, since the Navy has been mobilizing ever since we declared war on Ukranas. A month at the latest, if delays and hindrances continue to hound us. Hopefully they will be able to hold out until then."

"Ideally, we would be able to transport troops via airplane, but given that we have no airfields or bases near there, it would be near impossible and too time consuming, while not yielding much results."

Situation in Sjealand

In Sjealand, Chernarussian deployments for the most part were going smoothly. Two Carrier Task Forces now composed the Chernarussian Naval Force which would assist the Allied navies in protecting Sjealand's shores and preventing an amphibious invasion by the Coalition. 30,000 troops had already been deployed in Sjealand, helping to construct defenses and fortifications, and the rest 70,000 troops Chernarus had promised to send would all be deployed within the timespan of 1-2 months. The 100,000 strong army would be supported by around 100 tanks and 25 aircraft, and Sjealand was expected to provide most of armored and aerial forces, although the Chernarussian troops had brought along substantial numbers of artillery.

My generals are giving me news you have launched the attack on Hesperiae. My troops are ready to land on the beaches as well. Within a few minutes, my warships will be pounding the enemy forces. I just need to find a place to land. Any suggestions?

Excellent. My suggestion is to go for a pincer attack, and land on the other side of the island - As close to any tactical advantages as possible. The campaign's progress is exemplary so far, and victory is all but certain - Keep up the fight, you are most certainly proving yourself to be a powerful ally. Long live the Coalition.

An offer for Foederatio Hesperiae:
Let's be frank. You're being crushed. You cannot possibly hope to hold the line long enough for your allies to arrive. This is why we are giving you a choice - Renounce the war against us and withdraw permanently from this conflict, and we will retreat our forces. The alternative is, well, we do not intend to hold your nation. It is too near the enemy to be able to defend reliably, nor does it possess anything worth taking. As such, we will raze your cities, salt your fields, burn your forests and leave it behind even more run down than when we came - We call that "Scorched Earth". Either you can surrender now and leave this war, or you can be destroyed. You have, on my honour, the promise that if you agree and comply with these terms we will cease all attacks upon your nation. This offer expires in 2 days - The clock is ticking.

As the Ukranas infantry took the beaches Nickelized Elefant Ferdinand's- A & B variants moved up to press the attack employing blitzkrieg tactics. Of course they weren't officially Nickelian forces. They wear Ukranas uniforms, and speak Ukrainian/Polish. The tanks have Ukranas flags and colours on. However two-thirds are Nickelian volunteers helping out an ally in the war. Also offshore was a Nickelian convoy ship that had been hastily constructed to treat soldiers on both sides.

Edward read the transmission from Zuraw, and nodded to Schweinfurt. "Give the order." Schweinfurt went over to the comm room and called the admiral of the fleet.

The time to strike had arrived.

Islands of Foederatio Hesperiae
"All ships, open fire!" The sounds of battleships and destroyers firing their cannons were heard by the Hesperian troops, followed by the whistling of shells falling upon them. Within minutes, C-130's carrying hundreds of paratroopers were flying over the fleet. Landing craft were sailing ever closer to the shores. The troops were landing on the other side of the island where Ukranas landed, to form a pincer movement. Beforehand, Field Marshal Mnstein, the commander of the operation, made it clear to his men: "No civilian casualties. Any enemy soldier who surrenders is to be treated well. Take care of your fellow soldiers. That is all. Good luck." Some of the landing craft carried Nebelwerfers, and the crews of the Nebelwerfers were ready to provide incendiary barrages for the allied troops. The first landing craft hit the beaches, and hundreds of soldiers ran towards the enemy. The paratroopers landed a few kilometres behind the beaches, and were moving towards them. The paras and ground troops were to meet up 2 kilometres inland. The second wave of landing craft arrived when the beach was remotely safe, and Leopard 2A7's began to drive out. The soldiers on the beaches began walking behind the tanks, using them as cover.

Soon, the Cougar I tank destroyers were landed. Tasked with destroying enemy fortifications not already taken out, their sheer firepower was unmatched by any Hesperian armoured vehicle.

Exaequatio has begun to mobilize troops and a fleet of ships to help defend Hesperiae, however it would be unlikely that these reinforcements will arrive on time.

Alliance HQ
General Joe Shmoe (sorry I don't feel like coming up with a name right now) slammed the doors open in the HQ. He was in shock and horror as he had learned that one of Exaequatio's closest allies was being invaded. General Shmoe was believed to be going senile, though it was never confirmed. Regardless, he was 102 years old and yet incredibly lively. His assistant followed quickly behind him.

"I can't believe this!" As the general looked around the room. "My god they are taking over Hesperiae! Those damned Ukransians or whatever they go by! I hope we are retaliating. I have recieved word that Exaequatio is secretly preparing for an invasion of Ukranas if they do not pull out of Hesperiae." His assistant handed him a bourbon from her case she was carrying. He quickly snatched it as he waved his hands around the room. "Death to Ukranas! Let them rot in Hell!" He looked at the other members. "I remember when I was a lieutenant in WWI. You know what we did to those who enemies? We invaded them! SO why are we sitting around? We don't win when we lay around fighting a defensive war! We attack!"

You have awoken a sleeping giant. Exaequatio has been relatively quiet in this war. However you have attacked one of our closest allies. This also so happens to be one of Petrokovia's allies. And while I cannot speak for them, I have a feeling that you have not awoken one, but two sleeping giants. I have a recommendation. Stop poking your sticks at us and trying to provoke us. Take your band of primitive pygmies and run along. Leave Hesperiae at once. Consider this your only warning. Not taking my advice will result in your destruction.

A hint of advice: Exaequations tend to forget about small details such as human rights when it comes time of war and defending allies.

The message was expected, but still not welcome. Relations between Exaequatio and Ukranas had been terrible for years, and they would have to go to war sooner or later, but that did not mean it was a good idea. All available forces were mobilized and any troops on Ukranasian soil were brought back to the capital immediately as the nation prepared for a type of war not seen in centuries - An attack on the homeland. A message was sent back immediately:

My dearest friend James Wilson of Exaequatio,
RE: "Total destruction":

We had no idea that a bunch of tiny islands could possibly perturb you so much. No hard feelings about forgetting human rights, of course - We tend to forget about it during peacetime as well, so all is fine there. Anyway, we've offered the Hesperians a peace treaty provided they withdraw from the war - If you attack, the order will be given to destroy everything whether they agree to the treaty or not. In a nutshell, this is a hostage situation on a national scale. Your assault will kill civilians just as much as if you were to shoot them yourself. Make no mistake, any attack by you made directly on us will bring down a hellstorm of bullets and blood upon innocent Hesperians.

Kindest regards,
The General
