Fatah al-Intifada, seeing the various rebellions had decided to rebel under the new name Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-Working Socialist Force or PFLP-WSF for short, armed with mixture AKM and Zastava M70, RPG-7, RPG-29, some had Steyr Aug and M-16/Norinco CQ, the Palestinians were of various ages some children, under leadership of Chairman Mohammed Ali Asad an opportunistic communist agitator and wealthy Tripoli Alawite, who wanted to use the Palestinian fighters of Nahr al-Bared to take power.

"My comrades, oh my dear Comrades, the time is amongst us. the Arab lands have been subjected by Neo-colonialism. We have fought for whole lives endlessly in the name of the Revolution and Solidarity, for our land, the land of Palestine, for many years we have been exiled to this land of traitors, oppressors and cowards known as Lebanese and this mercantile Fascist state known as Lebanon, who deny their own Arab heritage and Arab identity, and promote neo-colonialist propaganda, this Fascist Government and its despicable supporters for years never allowed us to share means of production, when we are their Arab brothers, they abuse us just because we are Palestinians, they deny being related to us even and refuse our citizenship.

Now my comrades, let us rise up against the Bourgeois Lebanese Maronites and their oppressive Capitalist-Laze Faire economic system, for years we have worked for slave-low wages the Maronite dogs would pay us little, they ally themselves with the wicked states of El-Cuscatlan, Bolrieg, and Inyursta both greedy capitalist states that oppress the proletariat, the Fascist Government in Riysa that oppresses the proletariat, and to a another extent the Zionist Regime Entity who arms the Bourgeois Maronite death-squads that oppress the Proletariat.

the PFLP-WSF began sniper attacks on wealthy Maronite homes outside the camps, but were repelled the Lebanese Government was worried and tensions were building.

Public reaction

Charbel Elias Khoury always had always hated the Palestinian refugees who came into the country poor, living twenty to one set of rooms. They had never been loyal to the country, and had always demanded more and more welfare. A chance to strike at them was what he had always wanted.

Charbel Elias Khoury was new leader of the Guardians of the Cedars, ultra-nationalist movement in Lebanon, who's motto was Lebanon for Lebanese.

Charbel Elias was had a huge smile on his face, standing before him were members of his Youth organization filled with teenagers attracted to the radical politics.

"My fellow countrymen, Communists of PFLP-WSF, are trying to destroy all out hard-work, it is time to make them suffer hard, I have prepared a long list of refugees in the camp, who a census worker confirmed that they are members of leftist terrorist group, it is time we drive them from our lands, beat the dirty Palestinians." he gave a Roman salute, and his supporters followed

That night, the Nahr al-Bared was attacked. Gangs of young men from the Charbel Elias Youth Organization raided homes and trashed the shops of Palestinian families in the refugee camp. The wailing of the Palestinian women shook the still night air, and fire licked at the blackness. Mobs chased Palestinian men down alleys and beat them savagely, resulting in a few deaths. By morning, the fires had been put out and stillness had returned, but it was soon shattered by the calls of the paperboys and the men at the newsstands, advertising the latest edition of the party's newspaper Grand Liban, with its loud, desperate headline:

Palestinian communist militias mobilize in Nahr al-Bared
"This is an act of war, by the capitalists against the Proletariat" shouted Mohammed Ali Asad, "Arm yourselves Comrades, the Fascists of the Lebanese Government have shown their true colors once again, comrades arms yourselves."

Communist insurgents put up roadblocks, stockpiled food and weapons, ransacked local wine shops, and declared a state of self-described martial law over the Palestinian refugee city of Nahr al-Bared, the insurgents took positions in Palestinian Refugee's homes and on top of rooftops.



President Bashar Lahoud's reaction

President Bashar Lahoud was alerted by his wife and also his advisers about tension in the Nahr al-Bared refugee camp, it also hit the media like a fire.

Every newspaper and TV station was reporting on what had happened at night.


Lahoud issued a speech

"This is truly wrong for the Cedar Guardians to go into a city at night to attack minorities, however the biggest threat is the communism, the dirty commies trying to revolutionize the Palestinian refugees, I highly encourage my fellow Lebanese people to allow us the Lebanese Government to handle the Palestinian refugee situation, stop taking the law into your own hands without Government permission, it is wrong, also let it be noted that we should treat the Palestinian refugees that are not commies with kindness, also Nahr al-Bared is where the commie problem mainly lays, I will be mobilizing the Military, the Internal Security Forces, the Lebanese Forces militia, my Tigers Militia and my friends of the Kataeb Regulatory Forces to surround the refugee camp and secure it, and arrest and kill all communists in the camp, I highly encourage the communists in the camp to drop their arms and surrender."


Counter-Insurgency begins


Kataeb Regulatory Forces, Lebanese Forces, NLP Tiger's militia and also the Internal Security Forces and the Lebanese army armed with a combination of NATO and Warsaw pact small arms, were quickly dispatched to crush the rebellion, running water and electricity to the camp were cut, Humanitarian and human-rights groups coming to bring food to the Palestinian refugees were forced to leave by masked Kataeb gunmen, often violently, the camp was surrounded at all sides.

LT Joseph Saqr was at the Forward Observation Post, he was given a mega-phone which was attached to speakers set up around the Refugee camps.

"Drop your weapons and surrender now, and turn in your guns, and you will not be harmed." he said over the speaker.

Charbel Elias Khoury was also present with him were special teams of his party's armed wing, known as the Grey-shirts by the grey shirts they wore, or Storm-Troopers or Storm-Battalions or also Storm Brigades, Etienne handed the megaphone to Charbel who then began to speak

"This is Charbel Elias Khoury, we the Lebanese Army and the Lebanese Militias have the area surrounded, their is no-way of winning a fight against us or escaping while armed, surrender now or be fired upon."

Under command of the army they stormed the camp, the Guardians of the Cedar militamen sympathetic to Charbel Elias Khoury stormed the refugee camp, however surprisingly few Resistance was meant with.
PFLP-WSF were terribly trained, firing and missing, only to be put down, captured PFLP-WSF troops were executed, they were taken one by one, However GoC militia took things to extreme. After this massacre took place of the Palestinians in the camp.

Many Male Palestinian Refugees in the Southeastern section of the refugee camp were lined up and shot, between the ages of 15-50, under suspicion that they might be PFLP-WSF, their wives raped before being killed, The other Palestinian refugees in the Northeastern part of the camp were forced to leave their homes, their homes were also burned down. Older Palestinian refugees that couldn't keep up in the evacuation, were shot as well.

Few hours before the siege...
Two white vans posing as a TV cable crew was waiting infront of Beirut's Rafik Hariri International Airport.They were waiting right infront of the Lebanese Airlines crew entrance on the airport.One van consists of six fighters which means there were 12 of them.They then saw their target after a few minutes of waiting.The four stewardesses.Five of the man got out from the van,all using a standard police uniform.They approached the four stewardess and tapped them on their shoulder,as they slowly aim a pistol to the stewardess' back,while still holding their shoulder.The kidnappers then brought them inside the van,as they drove away.Inside the van,one of the fighters said "Follow our instructions and you will be safe.We will not harm you."The van then drove to the camp.

During the siege.
In the northwestern part of the camp,loyal fighters were setting up traps such as IEDs and mines everywhere around the street,some of the buildings were also rigged with explosives.Jamal Haddad was one of the commanders who held the stewardesses.He had thought of a plan.Crossing to Syria.It was not an easy one however,they need to escape the camp first which was fully locked down.He went in to the room where the girls were held.He brought his AK along.
He then shouted to all of them "You fascist pigs!You will not get out of here alive

Outside the Phalangist controlled portion of the camp was none other then General Walid Gemayel, he had loud-speakers set up, and began to make speech, "Leave now, this land is Lebanese land, you have no right to be sitting here and committing crimes and promoting communist propaganda you were invited here is guests, and just as quickly we let you in we will surely kick you out." he said with pure anger in his voice nobly defending Lebanese land.

Some of the militants heard the Lebanese commander's demand.They did nothing but shoot their AKMs to the sky,or to the direction of where the sound was.The militias then took Anna Zgheib by force,one of the militant slapped Anna across the face.They then took her to the place where the sound was.One of the fighters picked up a megaphone and shouted
We are here to negotiate!Do not shoot!We have one of them!

Gemayel said "What do you mean them?" other Phalangists and Lebanese soldiers had similar looks on their faces.

One of the militants asked Anna Zgheib,meanwhile one of the fighters with the megaphone shouted
"One of you,we got one of you!"

Gemayel looked at her and the and her captors and said to the captors "Why are using such under-handed and cowardly tactics?"

"You are the coward!" one of them shouted,then the leader of the captors said "Look,let us leave with the four of them." One of the man under his command the hit Anna with the buttstock of his AKM

As the situation in lebanon became worst with the defeat of the Southern Lebanese Arab revolutionary armed forces (LARAF) and the nahr l bared seige, Secular left wing and pan arabist parties felt the urge to unite to fight of the Sectarian militias that invaded south lebanon the Lebanese National Resistance Front claimed to be a "democratic, progressive and non-sectarian" broad organization that gatherered parties and organizations opposing all the rightwing anti palestinian militias fighting in the lebanese conflict .

The LNRF launched a liberation war against the fascist forces.

Among the participants in the LNRF are :

*the Lebanese Communist Party (LCP) grouping 15 000 fighters Scattered all across the country mainly in south lebanon , west beirut and tripoly)

*the Communist Action Organization (CAO) is the maoist faction of the LCP grouping around 5000 full time guerrillas mostly situated in all lebanese (rural areas)

* The Progressive Socialist Party (PSP) grouping 10 000 fighters is based in the chouf district controlling most of it , with some fighters also located in beirut and south lebanon.

*the Leftist faction of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party known as the SSNP-People Army (SSNP-PA) grouping 3000 fighters mainly groupped in the koura district of north lebanon with Amioun city as its stronghold.

*The right wing faction of the SSNP, known as the SSNP fedayeen Saade, SSNP-FS, 3000 militants active in north lebanon and beirut.

*Iraqi-led Ba'ath Party branch grouping 2000 fighters active in the bekaa valley.

*Syrian-led Ba'ath Party branch grouping 2000 fighters active in beirut, the bekaa valley and the south.

* the marada brigade 2000 militants mainly in zgharta and ehden, pro syrian maronites.

*al-Mourabitoun (a Nasserist group) and several other minor Nasserist groupings with approximatly 5000 fighters located in west beirut and south lebanon (saida and jezzine)

* Several Palestinian organizations situated in lebanese camps joined the LRF, notably many from the Rejectionist Front. Both the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) With the plfp grouping 8000 fighters and the dflp joining 2500 full time militiants.

* syrian proxy Al saeeka palestinian militia, PFLP-GC, Grouping 3000 fighters both.

* Naher al bared Martyrs brigade, 400 militant.

* Black September Organization, 100 member.

* PFLP-External operation, 800 militant.

* PFLP-Special Command, 100 militant.

*Armenian Secret Army for the liberation of armenia (ASALA)- 500 mainly active in east beirut as underground cells in the berj hammoud armenian area.

*Justice commando of the armenian genocide (JCAG)- 100 member active in the berj hamoud.


Most LNRF weapons were smuggled from Albania, east europe , Libya and mostly from china wich is the main supplier of the Left wing forces.

The Leader of the LNRF elected by members of the parties of the coalition was a veteran militiant and high ranking member of the LCP , Commander Joseph "Tokarev" Zgheib , which presented a speech :

"The sectarian violence in lebanon can not continue ! The Great Devils of the east shall be slaughtered by the proletariats of the LNRF we declare war on The Christian fascist fighters which massacerd our lebanese brothers and our palestinian comrades."

At the mean time the 62500 strong LNRF began to mobilize primarly in west beirut with the mourabitoun and SSNP-PA Engaging in street battle with ahrar militas and were able to gain control over the hamra street in west Beirut.

The persistent communist attacks from various leftist groups surely shook up the Government, however LCP and CAO were the first to be crushed, local rural Maronites ambushed CAO at their headquarters meetings, while the LCP, the greatest problems came from the Marada Brigade as they slowly forced Government forces, LF and Phalangists out of the areas of Zgharta and Ehden. Armenian Secret Army and members of the PFLP, and Black September were largely captured in per-dawned raids by the Lebanese Army, many were sent to special prisons for interrogation.

Meanwhile,Anna is taken back to the room where the rest are.Then,inside the room,they are told to change their clothes to an Abaya with Chador so that their face will not be seen,then they are fitted with a mock up suicide vest.Then,their stewardess clothing are fitted to manequins from the stores nearby then the manequins were seated in the same rooms while the four stewardesses with abaya and chadar now looks like as if they are part of the Fedayeens.

Phalangists quickly search the area, they find mannequins, the Private said "I think they took them.", the Commander said "Damn!"

The Six captors with the four women then ran to the boat at the shore.They started the engine and aimed their AKMs at the four stewardesses meanwhile the rest of the fighters at Nahr al Bared kept on resisting the Lebanese soldiers.Traps are set,just next to the building where the manequin was,explosive devices were rigged as well as IEDs on the road side.

Act-1, 9AM Beirut : Operation : Dawn of Liberation

It was a warm day, about to turn cold...
MEA flight LH 789 , a Boeing 737 Next Generation named Star, took off from Beirut en route to Israel with 116 passengers and 7 crew, piloted by Karl Maroun, with co-pilot Albert Tanos at the controls. About 10 minutes later as it passed over Tyr, the aircraft was hijacked by 5 militants calling themselves "Commando Martyrs of Nahr al-Bared" the militants were led by Hassan "Abu Jihad" Hanna from the PFLP-External Operations, 3 other militants were members of the PFLP-EO, nicknamed Abu Ali,Abu Mazen and Maryam Riachi a 21 year old christian Palestinian-lebanese, the fifth member of the hijackers is Ingrid Raspe a member of the "Revolutionary Cells" a militant german urban guerrilla training in lebanon.

The flight contained 62 Lebanese businessmen, bankers, mostly from the north..., 28 Israelians the rest of the passengers were either german, french, italian and swiss...

The miliants obtained entrance to the airplane by using fake passports, they obtained the weapons from inside the airport after the security check in, from an undercover Leftist sympathizer airport employee.

10 minutes after the airplane took off, Abu Jihad took his Tec-9 from under his long leather coat, he then burst in the cockpit ordered leiter the co pilot out of the cockpit and instructed Maroun to change the airplanes route to Albania.

At the meantime the other militants waved there Scorpions SMGs at the passengers, ingrid began shouting in a tough and harsh voice with a german accent :

" We are the Commando Martyrs of Naher al bared, of the PFLP-EO and the Revolutionary Cells, we are here to presure your fascist governments to release our brothers that are imprisoned and tortured in the lebanese gulags, we are here to liberate Lebanon and Palestine from the yolks of fascism, we will not hurt you if you remain calm."

Act-2,10 AM, Halba, Akkar, North lebanon: Operation : Vanguard

25 members of a combined Militia of the SSNP and the Arab socialist baath party stormed he house of the Lebanese forces commander Toufic khoury, they engaged his personal body guards who were outnumbered and surpirsed by the attack...
The militants were armed with AK47s, AK74s and RPKs, they were able to kidnap Khoury, his wife and daughter, they soon fled to the syrian boarders.
The battle took the lives of 7 militiants.
