The Last and the Brave (OOC)

It had initially been a peaceful first contact. Certainly the appearance of the barrier was a massive cause for concern in the rather isolated and lonely nation of Karai, the nation quickly consumed in talk over the mysterious pink barrier that seemed to loom closer and closer towards their nation.

It was when the first delegates from this barrier, a small race of equines, begun to come to Karai, that contact was soon initiated. The government of Karai and this so called ‘Equestria’ initially began on a good start, even if the idea of a Princess ruling over a state was a bit perplexing, more so the sheer magical powers at Equestria’s expense, these thoughts did not concern the government too much, after all, Equestria was more than likely peaceful they thought, having heard rumors of other such Equine states, believing that they would more than likely respect their own sovereignty.

The next few days were met by what could best be described as a cultural exchange. The ponies of Equestria begun to tour Karai, they begun to trade and sell with the Karaians, food and technology being the most common trade. Certainly the fact that the people of Karai were not allowed into Equestria raised some concerns, but the simple claim that a sort of magical radiation was at play initially ended those talks. All in all, it seemed as if a new neighbor, and a sense of prosperity, would finally shine over Karai

However, it was not too long before contact turned volatile. It had taken a single speech by the so called Princess Celestia and her aide Twilight Sparkle in order to turn what was a peaceful state into one now preparing itself for the greatest war it would ever partake in. So it appeared the Princess had less than pleasant intentions for the populace of Karai, and Karaians were known, if nothing else, for their hatred of tyrants.

It has now been three brutal years of war between the forces of Equestria and Karai. Karai has been slowly pushed to the brink by the barrier, their homeland slowly being destroyed. Their military might, never awe-inspiring to begin with, is slowly being whittled away by the usage of chemical weapons and suicide charges by the ‘newfoals’, humans that have forcibly been turned pony. Only time will tell whether Karai can successfully survive the onslaught.

Anyways, here’s the OOC thread with which we can discuss everything about the Equestrian invasion of Karai, try to keep things civil in here and whatnot, etc etc, I'd rather not have my RP be known more for its OOC infighting than for what occurred ICly. Please answer the application form below before joining, just a formality, unless you are completely incapable of speaking English I probably won't deny you.

While Hippostania itself was destroyed by the combined might of the great powers of Poneria, and its landmass purged by the Menelmacari, the potential for the same beings that lay behind it rising again is enough to justify a first strike before these beings can entrench themselves.
